Toddys Cafe in West Somerset

Lovely friendly staff, Sadly 😑 the Sausage was cheap tasting really let the breakfast down.I do wish breakfast had tea included like at home and it'll make toddys stand out from the rest. Love the round shape hashbrown. It's a shame cos I've tried lots of cafes along the high street and like this one the best overall but not sure I'd go back because of the cheap tasting sausage which to me is one of the most important parts of an English fry up. Think about a fresh buthers sausage toddys 😋

Lovely little cafe in the center of minehead. I stop in for some lunch on a Friday at 12:20. The tea was good. My choice from the menu was the BBQ chicken which comes with loads of chips and cheese. It was lovely and generous portion for yhe money so very Happy, especially given that the waiting staff were very pleasant and friendly. It's not a particular high class of place. But I my eyes the basic done well is all you need.

Always walk out happy & full, finding myself coming more regularly! I don’t often leave a review but these guys are worth making the time for. Lovely helpful staff foood is always lovely.

Food was lovely hot chocolate best I've tasted. Service with a smile and place spotlessly clean. Had jacket potatoes with cheese and beans with salad for lunch and breakfast one morning well cooked but not greasey

Quite simply the best cafe in Minehead - good honest british fayre, cooked and presented excellently.

Would give more "stars" if possible, Toddys is an absolute gem, the food is beautifully cooked and presented, the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful everything is always spotless and we really wished we lived nearer we'd be eating at Toddys every day. Can't reccomend Toddys enough but if you want to eat there Sundays book a table which speaks for itself. Excellent.

It's essentially a greasy spoon but the food is varied and well cooked. Very busy. I had an excellent vegetarian sausage sandwich and a cuppa tea. Reasonably priced.

Ordered liver and bacon. Cutting into one piece of liver there was raw blood in the middle. I went to the toilet to try and regurgitate what i had eaten to prevent food poisoning. My husband showed the waitress the blood on the plate and she said oh yes. Well I did probe it. Felt this was not a good enough response. Just hope i don't become ill.

My family and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Toddys. The food was beautifully cooked and was definitely in my top 3 best ever. The staff were very welcoming and had a some good advice and recommendations of places to visit and eat.

So we paid a visit today from Taunton Somerset and went to toddy’s for Sunday dinner, we enjoyed our meal but I accidentally dropped my iPhone down on the floor in between the sofa and the wall and omg I managed to move the sofa so that I could pick up my phone and I found a dirty knife, dust chewing gum and black mould under the sofa that we were sat on in, the whole area under the sofa was extremely dirty!!!!! { table 3 } I wasn’t able to tell the staff as they were busy talking away with there friends as I think everyone knows everyone! I left feeling sickened that they clean everywhere else but under the sofa as I said the Sunday dinner was lovely but my god I won’t be coming back !!

Reasonably priced good food, quick, friendly service. Our food was lovely with fresh bread and everything freshly cooked. Other items coming out of the kitchen also looked nice. Busy place so obviously well known amongst locals, and rightly so!

Went in today and tried their breakfast menu. My wife had a large breakfast, and I had the bubble and squeak breakfast. When you enter, you are greeted with a friendly face. Prices are reasonable. Food is freshly cooked, and bought out quick. Will definitely return.

The food was excellent and the service was fast. The lady who served us was very accommodating of my kids slightly fussy needs with their food. Service with a smile too!

Our first trip to minehead and was just wondering around trying to find somewhere to eat and we found Toddy's. What a wonderful place, food was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Try here you definitely won't be disappointed

Stopped off in minehead on our way through to lynton and lynmouth and decided to go into today's for a breakfast a delicious breakfast and wonderful service and hospitality and will definitely have another breakfast when passing through again.

Such a friendly place,full of you,such lovely staff. Money is so worth the food. And I was so full on even half of what I had. Delicious!

Good food. Friendly service. The only drawback is the new seating arrangements. Chairs are noiw blocking the aisle and makes it difficult for people, like me, with limited mobility to negotiate these obstacles, without disturbing people dining. A shame that it was changed. But highly recommend.

We regularly visit Minehead from Torbay and head straight to Toddy's for a meal, can't fault anything, the food the service the cafe, the staff are all first class, they have to be the best in Minehead by a long stretch, a real gem of a find.

Dropped in for lunch with my wife and granddaughter and great grandson All had different meals and they did pasta and garlic bread for little one (19 months) which he ate with gusto.It was very busy so we were warned it was a bit of a wait but then only 15 minutes or so.Really nice meals and very reasonably priced.

Good breakfast - but wasn't that keen on the bacon, as it was rather 'gamey' but that's probably just me. Nice food, decent price - and very friendly staff. Loved the booth-seating too!

What a find....pass all the big commercial food places by and head for this gem of a foodie's paradise... What a find, as a regular visitor to Minehead we've always eaten in the "bigger" establishments but no more...Toddys is a must, the meals are top notch, beautifully presented and a very full plate of some of the best food we've ever had...Staff are friendly and welcoming welcoming. Give Toddy's a try...you certainly will not be disappointed.

Real hidden gem...food is fantastic... Pass all the commercial pubs by and head for Toddy's it really is worth it

Decent cafe with good all day breakfast

Day off and have wanted to try their breakfast sandwich and wasn’t disappointed. The place wasn’t busy and the young waitress was courteous and welcoming and took my order quick. The breakfast sandwich consisted of hash brown bacon sausage and egg. It was well presented and bought out quick. Would definitely recommend trying it

Cottage Pie was Gurt lush. Really good value for money.

We went in the first time for breakfast which was lovely quality and nice size portions, we enjoyed it so much we went in another twice once for breakfast and another time for lunch, the lunch portions were on the big side but so enjoyable. The staff were wonderful and very chatty which was nice.

Chose to grab a breakfast in there wasn’t disappointed. Chose the medium breakfast with black pudding. Didn’t take long to come out and was well presented. Place had just opened so wasn’t full. Wasn’t rushed.

Whenever in Minehead, which is over 100 miles from where we live, we always visit Toddys. Guaranteed quality food.

It was £4.95 for a small breakfast and served with a Cup of Coffee. The breakfast was great, the coffee not so great but overall it was a good deal for sure. Pretty basic interior which suits me fine.

We've recently moved to Somerset. Had a really busy week chasing tradesmen and had a heavy weekend ahead planned (partner's special birthday - houseful of family and friends expected tonight). Really didn't have the energy to cook so decided to give this place a go. Fantastic choice! Lovely freshly prepared scoff and soooooo cheap. Deffo visit again. The staff are lovely and the place is nice and clean.

Had breakfast but it was not has good has it could have been, the cup of tea tasted very weak. Could have been a lot better.

We called into Toddys café next to the market hall on the Parade it was a Sunday we had a carvery the meat which was in a hot tray in what looked like some sort of gravy keeping it warm.

This is the second time we visited Minehead and went straight to Toddy’s cafe.

Whilst staying in Minehead we popped into this cafe for a drink (my wife in a wheelchair sister in a scooter and myself ). we had a friendly welcome from the lady behind the counter ( Shar I think her name is sorry if I got it wrong ) she was so friendly and of a bubbly character.

Lovely food .pasta tomatoes topped up with cheese.plenty with a cup of tea.felt comfortable being alone women.friendly.

Well what can I say what a wonderful meal we both had very well presented food very clean and the staff were friendly will be going bk again soon

Thought I would try it was nicely surprised the place was clean and the menu looked good so I ordered lasagne and it came with chips and garlic bread and a side of salad it was nice and hot and it tasted really good and worth the money.

Stumbled across this on a Sunday afternoon and were very impressed with the food; one of the meals being vegetarian.

We went here Christmas week for a carvery and it was delicious. The cafe was packed out which is always a good sign. Staff were pleasant the cafe was clean and tidy. This is the first time we’ve been and will go there again.

Saw this place on the way into Minehead on the Friday13th October on my way to Butlins so I decided to give it a try on the Saturday I just fancied a cooked breakfast and I was not disappointed great value for money so I went back on the Sunday as I saw a carvery advertised again I was not disappointed full plate and a full belly Lovely staff and a clean and tidy establishment will definitely visit again next time I am in Minehead.

Ate here today with daughter and friend, lunch time, busy but still served quickly. Friendly staff . I had omelette with chips and salad, really generous sized meal , really tasty, Great v.f.m. definitely eat here again 👍🏼👍🏼

A good basic breakfast stop. I had the large breakfast at £5.95 and my partner had the small breakfast at £4.95 - all cooked fresh and really nice with tea or coffee included. Staff friendly, used two mornings whilst staying in Minehead for the weekend - would use again.

Overpriced. Breakfast reeked of the cheapest ingredients possible. "Fresh" fish and chips wear frozen chips and a barely any fish frozen fillet. Coffee tasted awful. AVOID!!!

Just came in for coffee before going hairdressers on looking at menu board had lunch before leaving enjoyed it

Good service and great value for money breakfasts. Hot chocolate with squirty cream and marshmallows comes highly recommended from our six year old daughter.

My partner and I have been here for a cooked breakfast many times, I can't comment on the rest of the menu but their cooked breakfast in my opinion is the best in minehead, well the best we've had anywhere so far!!

Lovely Cooked breakfast again this morning in this friendly café in town. Hot plate, hot tasty freshly cooked food, great service. With food like this why would anyone go to Brewers Fayre ??!!

Food is good and friendly service. Was surprised to see a customer with a dog actually sitting up at the table! It wasn't a guide dog, so don't know why it was allowed in the café. Hope it doesn't occur again. Otherwise, good café.

Toddys in Minehead, Somerset is a cracking place. While on our holidays we first tried Toddys a few months back. Both the food and the welcome we received made us want to go back on our next visit to Minehead.
