The best place in Cornwall for food and drinks! These guys deserve untold success. The food was exceptionally delicious and the cocktails were made with care and love. Worth every penny and the kind of place you want to come back to with your bestest friends.

Very welcome on arrival, swift service. Kayley was really friendly, confident and competent and made the most delicious cocktail (margarita). The food was outstanding, we had prawns, pesto bruschetta and veggie stuffed pepper. We will most definitely be returning to try everything else on the menu. 100% recommended.

Great tapas spot right in the heart of Newquay

Exceptional in every way. Couldn't have chosen a better pre-wedding date. Espresso martinis glorious and Cherry Bakewell cocktail a piece of art. Food beautiful, highlight was pesto bruschetta.

This is our 2nd time to Toast and again we wasn't disappointed! We were the first people in, which we had to book the day before and it was the last booking available. So hence the photo shows an empty restaurant. But with in half hour the place had filled up! We shared all our tapas dishes and my goodness each 1 tasted amazing! Just the right size to share for 2! I do highly recommend this place, but book in to avoid disappointment 😊

Great little place for some lovely Tapas. Loved the Halloumi and loaded fries. If you drink wine make sure you check the difference between a 250ml glass and a 125ml glass. They charged more than twice the price of the smaller glass for the larger glass.

Called in while visiting Newquay and so so glad we did. The food was amazing! As were the cocktails. Great service from the moment we walked through the door. Highly recommend!

Be WARNED some dishes are very small. I've been to many Tapas restaurants and 3 dishes is usually enough for me. I got the prawns, calamari and halloumi...a few small prawns, a few small calamari rings and a few cubs of halloumi costing over £20, I was left hungry. The group I was dining with said "I've definitely been done". So just be mindful. Service and staff were excellent though.

What an amazing place. We first visited in 2017 when I think it was quite new and loved it. We were booked for 2020 but we all new what happened then! Well we have waited another couple of years and it’s well worth it, the food is outstanding, the staff are great and there is a fantastic selection of drinks. It is also very clean. Sorry about the lack of pics, I was half way through my lovely meal before I remembered to take any 😂

We stumbled upon toast when looking for somewhere to eat dinner tonight and we weren’t disappointed. The service was very personal, we weren’t rushed and the food was amazing! Even my 7 year old twins enjoyed the food! I’d totally recommend and would definitely visit again.

The service here was brilliant, the staff were lovely and friendly and went above and beyond for us. The food was fantastic too! I was very impressed with the high level of standards and I will definitely be back here again on my next visit to Newquay.

Amazing Tapas at a reasonable price and very friendly welcoming staff who couldn't do enough for us. We had 5 items off the menu and a bowl of fries to share between two of us all of the dishes tasted amazing and were cooked to perfection! 100% recommend the spicy meatballs and the stuffed pepper! We will definitely be returning.

Went here for my midweek birthday meal and was not disappointed. The food is delicious 😋 and freshly cooked. They even pandered to my fussiness and separated the beef chilli from the loaded fries 👍 Will definitely be going back and will take friends and family when they come to visit 😃

Very pleasantly surprised with my whole experience! Mum and I walked in as soon as they opened and although they were fully booked for the WEEK (!!) they let us have a table for a quick bite. Had the patatas bravas, tiger prawns, spanish meatballs, smashed avo and the bruschetta. All beautifully seasoned and wonderfully cooked. Tiger prawns were 10/10!!! To top it all, the staff were so friendly, and super attentive. Orders placed and plates/glasses cleared very quickly — so pleased 💪🏻 Thank you, will definitely be coming back 😋 Would definitely recommend calling and booking, I think we just got lucky with a table!

We came to Newquay for a night away and stumbled upon Toast Café. The staff were incredibly friendly and made some excellent recommendations based on our love of rum 💛 We tried the strawberry daiquiri, Singapore sling, dark & stormy and the margarita. The cocktails were beautiful, especially the daquiri which we can safely say is the best we’ve ever tasted (and that’s not just because they gave us a bit extra either). Thank you for a wonderful night, we went home trashed! Lots of love Luke & Mags x

Absolutely fantastic evening. The service was phenomenal and the staff were so good and attentive. The food was out of this world. Absolutely delicious. Cocktails were wonderful. Our first time in Newquay and so glad we found this fantastic gem. The nachos were the nicest nachos I have ever eaten in my life. Everything was just perfect. Couldnt praise any more highly. 10 out of 10. Make that 12 out of 10!! Thank you for such a wonderful meal.

Seriously amazing food here! We had a bottle of wine and a tapas course deal which was amazing and good value for money. Everything was great, staff were super, the only thing I could suggest would maybe be a few more vegan options on the menu but otherwise the best tapas I’ve had in years!

The food here is INSANELY good! The nachos were the best we've ever had and the halloumi dish was one of the nicest things I've ever eaten! Great vibes, lots of choices for food and drink (Tarquins flavoured gins are amazing) and the staff are wonderful. They will make you feel so welcome, are so genuine and love what they do. You should be really proud of your restaurant and team. A must visit!!

Great place to visit and amazing tapas too, we just turned up and was fited in, looks like it does get busy, only 2 of us and didn't have to wait long for food either.

We came in on the Wednesday evening. Had to say the food was great and service excellent. We came here a few months ago and just missed food service but the positive attitude of the staff made sure we booked this time to try the food as what we saw that evening looked good. We brought friends with us who came down on holiday and one of them was a chef so I felt a bit under pressure to get the right place. They loved it and it will be the 1st place we come back to when we are next in Newquay.

We’re returning customers and we are always so delighted to get a table. We’ve worked in Spain for 6 years and think this is one of the best tapas bars we’ve been to ! The staff go out of their way to welcome you - nothing is too much trouble. If you’re in Newquay it’s definitely somewhere I would highly recommend. Best vibe, people & tapas !

Great food and great service, bar manager didn't want to charge us for a drink due to delay, not a problem staff very busy and not going to moan. Loved the place make sure you book always busy. Will be back.

Visited on 12.04.2022 between 7pm-9pm. Male waiter incredibly rude. We were on a small table so asked for Camembert as a sharing starter before other “tapas” came out and then got asked if it could be cleared whilst we were still eating it. The man came over and asked us what we wanted him to do as we hadn’t finished our starter and our food was ready ……. What a completely bizarre question to ask. Then our food got served to another table who had apparently ordered the EXACT same food as us …… absolutely won’t return. Terrible service and the “tapas” aren’t Spanish in the slightest. The Bravas sauce wasn’t bravas sauce and was served incorrectly, Camembert, halloumi and nachos aren’t tapas so that’s confusing. The beans had no flavour, the chips had no flavour and everything was padded out with bread. The waitress with tattoos was very friendly but the other two staff members were rude and the food had no flavour. On the plus side, cracking margarita cocktail. This comes from someone who had worked in customer service for 15 years and grew up in Spain.

Gorgeous food for a start! Staff were awesome, atmosphere and music was perfect. Really welcomed and helped to celebrate my birthday. Made it a real occasion!

The food was really good, the prawns especially. We would definitely visit here again. A bigger wine selection would be good but there was so much choice with gins and cocktails it didn't affect us at all. Whenever we walked past, whatever day of the week it was always busy. The owner was really welcoming and helpful with getting us a last minute reservation.

Thoroughly disappointed, service was good but Tapas was poor

Still in venue and feel complied to leave a review now it was that good, had 6 dishes and a bottle of pinot for £40, presentation was excellent as well as hospitality well worth the money.

We ate tapas here and it was some of the best tapas we’ve ever ever had. The options were amazing and the drinks were flowing. The atmosphere was incredible with great music and no pretentiousness in sight. We visited with our French bulldog and I’ve never known a restaurant more dog friendly. This wasn’t a place where they wanted you to hide your dog under a table, he was as welcome as the humans and received lots of attention.

We booked in advance and glad we did. We had a very warm welcome and chose the six tapas and wine option, I am a bit fussy on wine so paid a little more to have the bottle I liked and this did not cause a problem. The place is nicely decorated, the music was great, and so was the food, my only complaint is I wish the bowels were bigger, but that is perhaps greed not a moan. We will definitely be back. Really great staff, and nothing seemed too much trouble.

Was looking for a bite to eat and most places were taking bookings only, happened to stumble across this place around half 8 and we were allowed to dine in as the last customers. Service was brilliant, the server was also a bartender and very friendly and knowledgeable, there was only one chef working and the food came in a reasonable time to a high standard. Would recommend and will be back next time!

We tried the majority of tapas and thoroughly enjoyed everything. All dishes were delicious and well executed! Would definitely recommend and will certainly be returning. Great cocktails and music choice was second to none! Excellent night!

Superb dining experience in every respect. Lovely chilled vibe and the food was awesome. We had a pesto mozzarella bruschetta starter then took advantage of the great value 6 tapas dishes and a bottle of wine deal for £40. We chose patatas bravado, meatballs, chicken & chorizo skewers, hummus with focaccia, prawns and halloumi with courgette and cherry tomatoes and chips. The Marlborough New Zealand Sav Blanc was excellent as were the two expresso martinis we had to finish. All the staff were chatty and friendly and the chef was exceptional. Full marks from us and justify's it's great trip advisor rating. Superb quality and superb value the whole evening coming in at under £60

Visited Toast last night after a hard day’s surfing. 4 adults and 4 tweenagers. The food was fantastic and the two front of house staff were absolutely brilliant. . Make sure you book and you will not be disappointed. Thank you.

Possibly our favourite meal in Newquay - went on a Tuesday so took advantage of the 4 tapas + bottle of wine offer. Food was delicious and service was excellent! Would recommend and would return!

We visited in July and managed to get a walk in table. The atmosphere was perfect - relaxed and intimate with cool deco. The service for our drinks was really fast despite it being busy and the cocktail were delicious! We ordered 5 tapas dishes and fries which were all beautiful, will definitely come again when we're next in Newquay!

A really lovely place, brilliant service, cocktails were amazing, food was extremely tasty! We booked the table about a month in advance as it is busy, the table was ours for the evening, so we could really relax.

We visited Toast Tapas whilst on holiday in Newquay and it did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and the menu has a wide variety of tapas dishes. Would definitely recommend the meatballs and halloumi. The food took a little longer than expected as there was only one chef working and possibly due to the venue being more of a bar than a restaurant which also meant there was no desert menu but did have a choice of cocktails. Overall an enjoyable experience!

Came here for dinner for my partner’s 30th. Had the £40 midweek meal deal which was good value and all the food was delicious. Will definitely be back!

this bar/ tapas restaurant is the best I’ve been to, on my second visit back to Newquay it did not disappointment- the two guys that run the bar couldn’t of made it a better experience, always ensured we had the drinks we wanted, gave us plenty of options and advice re gins and matching ( definately recommend the Tarquins gin board) and their honey and coffee tequilla. They were so good to us also not rushing us at any point. The food always was faultless with such a good deal of tapas and wine! I can see why they are fully booked 6 weeks in advance but also so good they let us pop in for one more drink before we left Newquay!

Fabulous place to eat. You will need to book as very popular. Food was amazing and simple menu that is great and value for money. We had a lovely meal fir 3 and all the staff were professional. Would recommend to anyone to visit fir a lovely meal.

We visited Toast a few times whilst we were staying in Newquay and everyone we were impressed by the service, price and quality of the drinks. The Espresso Martinis were to die for!! Unfortunately we didn't manage to get a table for food but would definitely recommend for a chilled drink at the end of the evening.

So glad we booked this place ahead of our holiday - just the best food and drink. We got the midweek deal - £40 for 6 tapas dishes, chips and a bottle of wine and that was more than enough for the two of us. So impressed with the price, the wonderful service and the general atmosphere of the place. A holiday highlight for sure!

Second visit here after visiting last year. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Selection of tapas dishes is great for a vegetarian. Cocktails were very nice!!

We had a great night here. Food was really tasty - ordered chorizo and chicken skewers, patatas bravas, halloumi, chorizo in wine with bread (see picture). Bread is quite light but that’s fine for us. There was a really nice vibe inside too.

Amazing service and the food was even better. Would definitely recommend going for the mid-week offers as it makes for a fabulously affordable evening. The menu is great for gluten free guests with lots of delicious choices. Our only critique is that the music choice was not to our taste, but no ones perfect.

We were 6 adults eating early evening while on holiday in Newquay. Toast was recommended to us by some local relatives. I can also fully recommend this restaurant. Service was friendly and attentive, the tapas was excellent, there was a nice chilled out atmosphere and the fact that one chef was keeping it all going for a full room was astounding. Definitely one to visit if you are in the area.

The customer service we received was outstanding, the staff were really helpful and quick to take our order and serve our food and drinks. Brilliant wine bar with a great vibe and amazing service. Even though fully booked they managed to squeeze us in for a quick glass of wine. So glad they did! Can't wait to come back again to try more of the menu. We'll worth a visit!

We enjoyed some really nice food here. Plenty of choice for vegetarians which was a bonus. Would recommend everyone visiting Newquay to book here as it was one of our favourite meals.
