Very friendly staff and great food.

We love Tilly’s! Although we haven’t eaten in yet, we have had many takeaway sandwiches and cakes over the last year. Our most favourite treat is the incredible and affordable takeaway afternoon tea - the savoury option is such a great idea and we always have so much left over Neil and Teresa are always so friendly and nothing is too much trouble.

What a lovely lunch time treat. Food fresh and delicious. Owners were warm, friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend. Will definitely return when I'm visiting family. Keep up the good work and thank you.

What a hidden gem. Not open everyday so were delighted that our need for cake coincided with them being open! The range of homemade cakes was superb, unexpectedly served with extra cream. Tea room does not fully describe the offering- a range of lunches are available and we'll be returning to try them out. Great place, great service, great food- well worth booking to ensure a table is available

Tilly’s has to be a favourite of ours, run by husband and wife team Neil and Teresa, they always offer such a warm and friendly welcome. Neil is an professionally trained chef of over 25 years and makes the most delicious cakes along with the best menu with seasonal and daily specials! It really is such a treat when we visit and we are always so full but can’t leave without taking home a slice of cake for later

Great place to pick up some sweet treats. We tried a few different cakes and all are delicious, but the rhubarb scones are my favourite.

We only discovered Tilly's this year and we love it and have returned again and again for lunch. The food is all freshly cooked/baked and the service is exceptional. We have recently treated ourselves to the afternoon tea and were thoroughly spoilt.

This is a fantastic place to sit and eat or takeaway. Great atmosphere and amazing food. Remember to book for a sit down though as they are extremely busy .

Just dropped in for a quick coffee and was very impressed with a delicious home made apricot Bakewell tart which was served with a strawberry and dollop of cream. Superb latte coffee.

Just dropped in for a cup of tea, but decided to have a ham ploughman's as well. It was delicious. Plenty of ham and salad, two hunks of bread. The room is small but every one was enjoying their food. There were a large number of repeat customers which speaks volumes in itself. The array of home made goodies was very inviting. I managed to resist them ... on this occasion !

Always delicious food and drinks. All homemade to an incredible standard. Whether you prefer savoury or sweet; you will not be disappointed!! Yum!!

Just collected a takeaway of tomato and pesto soup and a cheese scone! Well it was AMAZING. The soup was thick and tangy, the cheese scone was rich, buttery and enormous! Highly recommend and also a lovely husband and wife team. Great to have a place like that so local 🫶

Had excellent take-away afternoons teas and subsequently, two Battenberg cakes, which really hit the spot!

This little tearoom is fantastic. We are a savoury cream tea while was a huge cheese scone, a piece of cheddar, chutney and tea. It was delicious. The owner is a lovely very thoughtful lady. We had a great time and will be back for sure.

Took my mother in for a light bite today and was very happy, especially with the size of my cream tea. The service was friendly and very welcoming, I would definitely recommend that you stop there if mooching round Midhurst.

Contacted Neil by email to ask for a Takeaway Cream Tea to take to Goodwood ladies Day. He could not be helpful enough. Arranged to collect Thursday morning. We arrived all ready and packed very well. Fantastic choice of sandwiches and cake loads of cream and jam for the scones. Can not recommend enough.

Lovely tea room. We had breakfast there and can highly recommend their sausage sandwich which was delicious! The cakes looked amazing and we could see lots of returning customers coming in to buy them which is always a good sign. A real gem in Midhurst and will definitely be visiting again.

Excellent food and customer service. I really can't fault Tilly's at all, but do book a table as a number of customers were turned away during our visit. We managed to slip into a table between reservations so we didn't have time to sample the cakes, but it does give us an excuse for a return visit.

Lovingly made teas, cream teas and everything that goes with a quintessential English teatime. Very nice owners.

Had lunch in Tilly's on Thursday. Both had the individual savoury tart with potato salad,carrot salad and small mixed sald. Absolutely delicious...as ever.Prices still good on eat in.

A takeaway afternoon tea from Tilly's has to be one of the best presents my daughter received for her birthday! There was so much absolutely delicious food - sandwiches, scones, biscuits and cakes. The proprietors so kind and helpful too. I can't recommend enough.

Just had a takeaway birthday tea. Finger sandwiches, cakes, scones with cream and jam. Amazing. Every bite was fresh and tasty, quality food at an exceptional price. What joy.

Just had another brilliant lunch plus absolutely delicious mincemeat tart with brandy cream in the top. This is now my third one in three days. They are gorgeous. You certainly can't buy anything like them in the supermarkets. Thank you for making consistently delicious tasting foods!

My daughter and I are regulars at Tillys, even more so during these difficult times.We had gone to pick up a takeaway lunch, when Neil the chef appeared and asked if we would like to try a scones recipe that he had been trying out. these are scones made with mincemeat added and served with Neil's homemade brandy butter. They are absolutely delicious. Neil is going to make them during December (but not every day) but please try them they are so delicious. He also makes scones with ginger and apple too, also delicious. Neil and his wife Teresa always make you feel welcome and always have a good range of tempting foods, lunches, drinks, cakes and takeaways for you to choose from. Sanitation and hygiene in these covid-19 days are of the highest standard as always.We are so lucky to have Tillys in Midhurst, make sure you visit to see what could tempt you! you will be spoilt for choice.:)

Well what can I say, we work locally and Saturday is our treat from Tillys day.Just had lemon maderia cake and a raspberry bakewell...with actual friut in the centre. Prawn and Avocado sandwich for lunch and spicy carrot and tomato soup.......all absolutely delicious but no less than we have come to expect from this absolute gem of a cafe.Neils culinary skills are above outstanding and Theresa is so happy, smiling and so welcoming.We cannot fault anything....fisrt class in every respect.!!

The BEST cafe in Midhurst, by a long shot. Their food is lovely and I'm a big fan of their cooked breakfasts. Been in a few times since lockdown and during the pandemic and have always felt safe there and they are clearly making safety their top priority. Run by husband and wife team, it really feels like you're being welcomed into their house and fed gorgeous food cooked from the heart. Keep it up guys x

Fantastic staff so friendly and who are very COVID aware wearing masks; thoroughly cleaning tables/chairs between customers. Food was delicious - sandwiches come with ample filling and a lovely salad, homemade scones and cakes are to die for. Trip to Midhurst so I could have lunch at Tilly’s. Friendly greeting on arrival, as always. Neil and Teresa are always so welcoming and happy. Had the Cajun chicken salad which was amazing, so many cakes to choose from and they all look fantastic, I opted for the chocolate orange tiffin although I wanted them all. Another good lunch at Tilly’s. The best.

A great find with gluten free treats! We were passing through on a very wet day, in desperate need of tea and cake. A lovely tearoom with very friendly staff who made us most welcome. The cream tea is amazing and the scones massive. What a joy to find gluten free cakes too. This place is well worth a visit.

We stopped off here on our way through the town, and struck gold with Tilly's.Great attention to Covid prevention was taken, making us feel safe but still welcome.The tea, coffee, cake and sausage roll were all excellent, leaving us wanting more.We can see why it has such a long list of 5 star reviews!

I visit whenever I'm in the area, it's a special place with some outstanding dishes and lovely hosts.You will not regret visiting here and there isn't a single dish on the menu (and I've tried them all) that I didn't thoroughly enjoy. It really is that good.

Had an amazing takeaway afternoon tea yesterday! Everything was delicious, the sandwich fillings, the scones and the sweet treats! What a lovely pair of people also. They are so accommodating and so friendly! Couldn't ask for more. Sorry no pics, it was so good we tucked straight in and forgot.

Tilly’s take away cream teas are an absolute MUST. I purchased this as a gift for a friend & she loved it. Her feedback was so good I did the same for my husbands birthday & we could not fault it. Finger cut sarnies with the classic filling; Egg Mayo, Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese, Cucumber & more. All of them delicious. Followed by a platter of scones, clotted cream, fresh strawberry jam, brownies, lemon drizzle cake, strawberry shortcake. The list goes on. It was stunning. For less than £25 for 2 it is worth every single penny. Teresa & Neil were charming & could not have been more helpful. Place your order today. I promise you will be in for a real treat.

I have started to visit Midhurst more and more since the arrival of Tilly’s. Everything is always amazing and the window display always on theme. I cannot express how delicious the food is having recently paid a visit during recent times, we felt incredibly safe and as always the place is immaculate. I had the best brownie ever and looking into the display cabinets, I ended up taking several items home from the local sausage roll and savoury tart to the fruit tart and very impressive scones. The husband and wife team are incredibly professional and friendly and inviting too. I would not eat/drink anywhere else in Midhurst other than Tilly’s.

Popped in last Saturday, needed some cheer with all the doom and gloom going on.Super tea room, husband and wife team who really have their business fine tuned. Delicious all home prepared and cooked food, and we felt great value for money. Other restaurants and tea rooms should visit to see how it should be done. Love Tilly’s so much! It our favourite local! The homemade food here is delicious. The two owners are also doing a fantastic job in creating a great local cafe, with great food!

We stopped in for breakfast before for heading out for a day walking and it was fabulous! We were full for the whole day and didn't need to eat until dinner!We both had the vegetarian breakfast and the sausages were really lovely.Tilly's has a really nice atmosphere and the decoration is so pretty, a proper little English country tea room.

Lovely tearoom. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Popped in for a quick sarnie as just wanted a light lunch. Ordered an egg mayonnaise and coronation chicken sandwich... wow! Best coronation chicken ive had, you can tell they make everything themselves and the bread was bursting with filling. Too full for cake but they looked amazing but not as good as the afternoon tea, will be back for that soon!

decided on Tilly’s for a change of place for breakfast. Greeted very warmly at the door and shown to our table. Good menu choices. Although we were the only people in the cafe throughout our stay we did not feel awkward. The owners were chatty and made us feel welcome.

Visited for lunch during a trip to Midhurst. Food was delicious..Coronation Chicken sandwich for my partner and Cheese and homemade coleslaw jacket potatoe for me..ample portions and very tasty..side salad with each dish was yummy. Both treated ourselves to a dessert..my partner said the coffee and walnut cake was lovely and I had homemade shortbread which was really good. If we lived nearer we'd be regulars! Highly recommend this little gem.

Met friends here today, lovely little cafe in Midhurst. Very friendly owner and lovely home cooked food by her husband in the kitchen. Friends had Welsh Rarebit, jacket potato both looked very tasty, I had syrup rolly polly and custard which was also lovely. I’d definitely go again when in the area.

What a find! Beautiful cafe run by the loveliest couple. Friendly welcome, great atmosphere and a nice place to relax. Breakfast was out of this world - amazing quality produce beautifully prepared. Coffee absolutely gorgeous (and I am quite a coffee snob ). We sat in the window watching the rain outside- the cafe is so comfortable we didn't want to leave. There were gorgeous looking scones and cakes on display so we will definitely come back to try some of them. Thank you to the owners for being so friendly and attentive. We really enjoyed meeting you both. Good luck with the business (not that you need it as everything was absolutely perfect!).

Looking at the other reviews and the (almost) unanimous 5/5 ratings it hardly seems necessary to add more! What a nice place, went in for a late lunch after being out walking all morning. Couldn't have been made more welcoming, spotlessly clean, pleasant decor and a good choice off the menu. Had savoury scones and tea very nice, so much so went in again the next day for, this time, afternoon cream tea. Again faultless. Oh and all at a reasonable price.

Visit Tilly's fairly frequently for coffee or afternoon tea. There's always a very friendly welcome and nothing is too much trouble.

Went here today for the first time for a lunchtime snack. Fantastic service and what a lovely surprise to find gluten free bread served on request and delicious homemade gluten free cakes. I had a lovely sandwich with generous filling and side salad. Home cooked gammon ham was excellent. We will be back and would recommend Tilly’s to any discerning diners

Went to Midhurst and found this gem of a place. Was given a warm welcome. A very good selection on the menu to choose from. Service was excellent. Food very good and tasty. Everywhere was clean. Would certainly go again. Excellent!

Wow what a great little cafe. The owners are so friendly and the food to die for. The portions are generous and nothing is to much trouble. A must visit venue.

Tilly's is a little gem in Midhurst. The sandwiches were fresh and delicious and scones and cake were great, so make sure you have plenty of room to indulge! A special mention must go to the carrot and sultana salad that accompanied the sandwiches, as it was particularly good. The shortbread was also amazing and so was the service from Teresa. We will have to go back soon :)

Small cafe at the top of the main road. Lovely welcome, excellent service and a fantastic cooked breakfast - bacon as it should be cooked! The chef brought out the food and was keen to make sure we had everything we needed. Good coffee too. The cakes looked great too and we were disappointed we didn't have room for one!

Popped in for a lovely lunch of poached eggs on multigrain toast and a pot of tea. The cafe is lovely inside, service excellent - nothing is too much trouble, food is excellent. Prices very reasonable. Good selection of cakes. Will definitely return. Well worth a visit.

Hold my hand up, we have passed by Tilly's a few times when we have a Midhurst bimble. What a mistake!! Do not make the same mistake - go in - you will be happy to have found this delightful place.

What a gem of a place. Very warm welcome despite the place being busy. Lovely menu lots of choices and very reasonably priced. Food was beautifully presented and we didn’t have to wait long. I can highly recommend and it’s a must visit if you are in Midhurst.

My wife and I were in Midhurst for holidays and we happened to find this great family room tea room. The couple were extremely friendly and accommodating. Sandwiches were fresh and delightful while tea was flavoursome and relaxing. Highly recommend this place !

Stopped here for lunch on advice of a friend. Quaint little place for quiet family spot of lunch and ideal place to take mum or gran. Lovely food and great service.

We were passing through on our way home from Somerset, needed a coffee shop for a snack. Found Tilly's in Midhurst had a lovely light lunch, all homemade food well presented by husband and wife. Will be calling in again soon.

I would just like to start this review by saying I have never written a review for anything before but after visiting Tilly’s Tea Room, I felt I had to! This is honestly the best tea room I have ever been to! The food was absolutely delicious!

Delicious well cooked food. Clean, with well chosen decor. Friendly service. Reasonably priced food. All day breakfast £5.50. The cakes looked delicious.

If you are in Midhurst then this is one place you need to visit, great food exceptional cakes and exceedingly good service with a smile and real care.

Met with one of my customers for tea today as she recommended it. Was a lovely setting, very friendly owners and cracking cup of tea with a homemade shortbread biscuit and all very reasonably priced! Highly recommend.
