The tea room was always good but Laura and her team have taken it to another level 5 ***** Highly recommended and you won’t be disappointed ☘️☘️☘️

Came today for the first time but we enjoyed it and booked to come back later for our desserts, which we did. Everything was very good and as coffee shops was our living before we retired, we are very particular. One complaint-I understand that dogs are welcome, as they are everywhere these days, but please tell the staff not to touch them, it really is unhygenic in a food environment.

Really nice place with lovely staff, lovely and well priced food and were kind enough to let us have our wet, muddy dog join us after a day out walking 👌

What a find lentil soup is the best I’ve had , have it with a toastie for great price staff very friendly great atmosphere if you are this way in central Scotland. Drop in

Visited this lovely and cosy place twice. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Had the lunch deal and, on a separate occasion, the full breakfast both of which were great and more than enough. The desserts are a bit too sweet, so keep that in mind (except for the apple crumble, which was divine!)

We've been to Laura's Tilly Tearoom multiple times. We've had the pleasure of eating both in the cafe and using the takeaway service. PARKING:- There's a car park dedicated for customers right next door however if it's full,there's a public car park across the street that can be used. THE FOOD:- Put simply,delicious! Afternoon tea is awesome! THE VENUE AND ATMOSPHERE:- The cafe is fairly small but exceptionally quirky! If your planning to go,I would suggest booking a table. I have added photos. Please note that the table decorations are mine ,Laura's supplied the food and teabags 😀.

Woman who served us seemed quite disinterested, just wanted to get us out the door asap, so we sat outside... just to be hounded 5 mins later... "are you finished yet? Some of our regulars want a table"... Pretty rude staff and average food and coffee at best... wont be back.

Been to this cafe many times on our trips to Sterling/Sterling Mills and always had a warm welcome and good food. I assume that with the slight change in name the tearoom has changed hands because on a recent visit we were more or less shown the door as they were expecting a number for afternoon tea, by a very rude member of staff. I fully understand if they could not accommodate us at that time however there is an etiquette to dealing with such occurrences and this person lacked this ability. Won't be back.

Dropped in unannounced yesterday Thursday 20th with some wonderful American guests who where looking up long lost relatives. They requested somewhere traditional for a coffee break with luck I stumbled upon this little hidden gem. Laura and Sharon were winding down to close but my guests were welcomed and looked after like long lost friends. Nothing was too much trouble and Laura’s red hair was 😍😍😍… Thank you ladies 🥰

fabulous lunch treat we stopped on the way to Shopping and had a most wonderful fresh lunch and it was incredibly reasonably priced. all the staff were super friendly and just had the most happy vibe.. just go !

Visited yesterday whilst on a wee adventure through the area and up some of the hills. Laura's Tilly Tearoom was excellent. Got seated no bother and the food was excellent. Staff were so kind and sorted out a wee mix up no bother which was great. Would recommend if in the area.

A delightful tea room and a delicious breakfast freshly cooked to order. Dogs are made welcome with their own water bowl and staff very friendly and helpful.

Was looking for a cup of tea and a hot roll told because they stop serving at four o'clock they only did tea and cake ,it was only 3-25, don't understand that rule. I do visit this establishment often for breakfast etc. But totally disappointed.

Very friendly independent cafe with a great atmosphere and great food. Everything homemade, great range of delicious cakes. It’s small and cosy with lots of lovely touches, especially the home-knitted tea cosys! Dogs are also made very welcome. We will definitely be going back.

Popular local cafe serving nice breakfasts, lunches, cakes etc. We had two cooked breakfasts which were very nice. Good portions, fairly priced and staff are very friendly.

I love this tearoom. It is very small but the food is great and staff are wonderful. We have always just dropped in and have just had to wait once to get a table. Pre-book to avoid disappointment.

Every time we eat here food, service and ambiance are just lovely. My brie and cranberry panini was delicious and my husband said his full breakfast was the best he's eaten in a while. Good to see they have added a veggie breakfast - looking forward to trying that another time. Thanks to all staff.

A friend and myself were walking in the local area and had been advised to visit this small independent café. We both had the flat white and scones. The coffee was excellent and the scones, fruit and treacle, were very tasty indeed. The menu looked really good and reasonably priced. It was quite busy and the staff were taking table reservations...... seems like a very popular wee place. Would return.

Popped in earlier for a couple of paninis, staff nice and bubbly nice wee friendly atmosphere in here can tell the locals love it, anyways panini ordered chicken and bacon outstanding and 2nd one was cheese and ham for my girlfriend, she said she enjoyed too. I'll be sure to 📸 it next time!

Decided to visit whilst doing some Christmas shopping, so glad we did. Laura and staff are so welcoming throughout our visit. The quality of the food is 2nd to none, especially the cakes which we could not finish but got a box to take the rest home. I've had afternoon teas in London and New York to name a few but this quaint tearoom is by far the best. Thankyou so much for a lovely afternoon.

I go every week for lunch takeaway. Lentol round and tuna sandwiches on dairy free spread. It's amazing and quick .

Had afternoon tea for 2 and is was delicious, more than we could manage to eat but the lovely Leah put it in a takeaway box for us to take home. Liked the presentation on lovely china plates, staff very friendly and welcoming. Will defo be back.

Excellent food and service as usual. This restaurant never disappoints. The all day breakfast in particular cannot be surpassed. Laura has kept all the standards very high.

Well,what can I say. I telephoned on Monday to order a takeaway afternoon tea for 4 to pick up today (Saturday). What a choice! I explained ,there was no allergies or dislikes and was happy for Laura and the team just to pop whatever they liked on the sandwiches (you could choose your own fillings if you wanted to). Also included was meringues with fresh cream, 2 tray bakes and 2 scones (jam and cream too) . All per person,so that's 5 things per person over and above your sandwiches. Of course teabags also included. Laura very kindly also let me borrow a tea pot , tea cosy and checked with me that I had enough cups for the Tilly at Home experience. So nice and thoughtful. So we just took the tea pot back at the end of the day there.......and ended up staying for a wee cup of tea / can of juice and of course ,a wee cake lol 🤣. Will definitely be back.....booked again for October! Oh,I should mention parking.....car parking is just outside and the place itself is quite small but quirky. If you're going along,walk ins are welcome,but I'd recommend booking.

Can be expensive but so nice to have a proper wee local hillfoots tearoom. Did me proud in getting food ready for myself and relative in such a short time due to a forthcoming taxi.Sometimes can be a longer wait as so often busy.Would advise to book and reserve a table in advance. Staff are very accomodating and a good friendly bunch! Well done Tilly tearoom. Just found out recently about their fab afternoon tea deal,great offer and so inexpensive compared to some.!xx

Staff are welcoming, friendly and polite. The coffee is incredible. I forgot to ask what beans they use but it just means I need to go back! Food and service is top tier!

We were on a short break to Scotland and browsed to find somewhere to go for lunch that was dog friendly. We found Laura’s tilly tearooms and were delighted we did. They made us feel very welcome from walking in through the door and included making a big fuss of our dog, Hudson. We all ordered meals from the extensive menu that were delicious, jacket potatoes, Panninis etc. We were also attracted by the various sweets that were on offer but as we were filled from our meals, we decided we would take the deserts away with us and glad that we did as they too were delicious. We would recommend this tearoom to anyone and can’t wait until we are in Scotland again and can repeat our visit.

What a bloomin great place this is!!!.... my friend and I went specifically for the Goats cheese salad..(again). This is real quality goats cheese sitting on amazing home made wheaten bread with lovely chutney... surrounded by luxurious coleslaw, dressed salad with wee dodds of strawberries and tomatoes.... Top notch in all respects... It's run by warm and friendly folk, who definitely care about the customers who come in the door. Thanks to Laura and everyone else for running a real gem in Tillicoultry...

Had a lovely lunch with my friend at Tilly's yesterday. I had lentil soup and homemade bread and my friend had a bacon roll . Both of us had tea and they stocked my soya milk so I was very happy with that. Definitely recommend this cafe and will come back next time we visit Sterling mills

The very best bacon and Stornoway Black pudding butty I've ever had. When I'm next in area, I'll be visiting again. It's what a small cafe should be.

Lovely little place. Just off the main street with parking behind the café. Generous portions - we all came away with a doggie bag. Sandwiches and cakes were all freshly prepared and berries to round it off. Staff were lovely and looked after us.

Mushroom soup was cool,,chicken mayo was mashed not sliced or cubed in sandwiches they were dry so asked for more mayonnaise so we were disappointed,,however the drinks and cakes were delicious and staff extremely friendly

Mt kids and I love this place for a treat. Definitely worth a visit. Hot chocolate is worth a visit alone. You can also get food to takeaway. This wee cafe was also a lifeline during lockdown.

A little tea room just off the main road, but visible when driving the Stirling direction. We had two coffees, a lentil soup and a cheese and ham toasty. All very nice and the price was very reasonable. The cafe is full of art work which is available for sale. Certainly worth a visit if you passing through Tillicoultry.

Almost literal lifesaver... Stopped here on a long bike ride after about an hour of freezing rain. The staff here didn't bat an eyelid at two dripping wet cyclists and we even managed to get a table by the log burner, which they then put more wood on for us! Food was hot & tasty, lentil soup hit the spot, the wheaten loaf with it was nice & a bit different. And the fruit scone to follow up was great.

Just recently moved to Alva and was struggling to find a really good independent coffee shop. Stumbled across Tilly’s tearoom during a walk with friends and stopped by for a takeaway hot drink. It was a reasonably sized order and it was 100% spot on. Offered alternative milks too for my lactose-intolerant friend. I’ve been back a few times since and it’s the best coffee in the area! It’s a small spot so it fills quickly so booking is recommended if possible. We had breakfast during our last visit and it was great. 100% recommend!

Disappointed in last visit, roll I has tasted stale, banana loaf was dry. This is highly unusual as they are always first class.
