This is one the best restaurants I have been to in Liverpool. The staff were very welcoming and nice from the moment we walked through the door. The menu has a variety of South East Asian dishes to please anyone’s taste including vegetarians. The portions are generous and the quality of food was exceptional. Would recommend to anyone!

Varied menu with a mix of small plates & small bowls. We were informed that the food would be brought out as soon as your particular dish was cooked not when all the dishes were ready. We were happy with this as it meant the food was as freshly cooked as it could be. Two each per couple is adequate. Food was excellent and we could not fault the service. Every table was taken so this is a popular restaurant.

Been here a few times, it's a complete lottery if the tapas dishes are nice or not. Overall I feel disappointed more often than not, even though I live Asian food, so I've stopped going.

Really kind servers and good food

Excellent range of dishes which you could mix and match. All 4 dishes we selected were delicious. Food and wine were very good value for money. Service was very good by efficient and attentive staff. Highly recommended.

I had heard great things about this place so had been really looking forward to it. Long story short, the flavour and quality of food was just not to the standard I expected, and we sampled 6 dishes between us. It was easily one of the worst crispy chilli beef dishes I have had, the soft shell crab didn't get eaten, the cocktail was awful and I couldn't drink it. For two people that aren't particularly fussy and love Thai food, this was so disappointing. Sadly, the dishes were ok at best, and coming to nearly £80 in total, we left feeling extremely disappointed and with a very bitter taste. I can see that other people have enjoyed themselves here, but I wouldn't be able to recommend it and I certainly won't be going back.

We loved the food here - every item came out of the kitchen very fresh and hot. I can thoroughly recommend the green Thai curry - simply delicious. This was the first time we had tried this restaurant and we were so impressed. We will definitely be returning. Excellent value for money considering the portion sizes.

We had a great afternoon meal which was so tasty and well cooked. The Malbec wine was very tasty. The staff were very helpful and polite. We will return if we are ever in the city again!

Very good service and superb quality food. We had 5 small plates between 2, and it was plenty. Particularly loved the soft shell crab, and sirloin steak udon noodles.

Very much enjoyed this! Great concept, tasty food and welcoming, friendly and attentive team. Would I go again is the test…… in a heartbeat!! Just gone back and changed my rating from four to five, couldn’t think of a reason why it would be 4 rather than five!!

Popped here for a birthday lunch on a Monday, there were only 4 other tables occupied, despite this service was incredibly slow and we had to get the attention of the two waitresses to place our order, one seemed to be doing admin and the other just pottering behind the bar. The strawberry cocktail was delicious, the food was mixed, a beef noodle dish was outstanding, the other dishes weren't so great, the summer roles weren't the traditional Vietnamese we were used to and a little hard, the pork belly was dry other items including fish and phad thai were nice. Most disappointing was that after we'd paid the bill we heard another table querying their bill as the lunch offer hadn't been applied, we asked what the lunch offer was and were told there was a lunch offer of 2 for £12, when we took a look, all of our dishes were on there and we could have saved just under £20 on our bill but we weren't told about/showed the lunch menu. We would return as we love South Asian food and on the whole it was nice and clearly fresh but they clearly need to do some staff training both on the menus they offer and general customer service.

We love it here .. no , your food doesn’t come out in one lot as some complain but this is an authentic Thai restaurant. You sit , you drink , you socialise with your guests and you eat . It’s like a Thai tapas and if you get that then you’ll love it here . The food is brought to you as it’s made so sharing what comes is best.. and you get to try all the dishes too that way . The food is absolutely delicious. The staff are so pleasant and helpful . It’s definitely one of our favourites 🥰

My experience today at Tiger Rock Liverpool, North John Street, was perhaps the worst and most shameful. I was there with my co-workers and was the first to order food; honestly, I was not served until nearly everyone had finished eating. They started clearing the plates, but they did not serve me. I was so ashamed! Only God knows the reasons why they refused to serve me. Even my colleagues who came late were served, but they repeatedly asked me what I wanted to eat, although I had already told them what I wanted and still respected my order for them. I felt so embarrassed and shamefully left the restaurant to meet my managers, who had finished eating outside. Most of my co-workers even offered me their food instead, but I declined as I wanted to be served mine. My managers then insisted I collect the food because they had paid, but I refused because I had lost my appetite when they finally served it after others had finished eating. I will never visit Tiger Rock, North John Street again. BYE for Life!!!!

Second time here in the past few weeks. The food comes on small plates/bowls and doesn't look much but believe me when I tell you they are very filling. The food is so tasty and quality and presentation second to none. Once you've been once, you will be wanting to go again

Another incredible meal at this outstanding restaurant. Every dish was wonderful. Cocktails were superb. It was extremely busy, with every table taken and people queuing, yet the service was perfect and very friendly. Could not fault it!

Had this place on our to go to places for a while! Finally made our way down there and we are glad we did! We got a table without a reservation however by the time we left the restaurant was almost full and it was only a Monday night ! Might be worthwhile to book if going on a busy weekend or peak hours! Loved the tapas style as this way if you are sharing you can try more variety ! They recommend 2 to 3 dishes per person! We ordered 6 with a side salad to share between the 2 of us and were totally satisfied and full by the end of it! Hence couldn’t get a dessert maybe next time :) Enjoyed the dishes we ordered and also the staff is nice and friendly! Spoke to our server and she was from Thailand - brought back our memories from our trip to Phuket ! The crispy beef , duck spring rolls crispy with good filling, kimchi , crispy pork belly , nasi goreng and pad Thai were all delicious ! Ribs were nice, personally would have liked them to a tad bit more tender but the taste was good ! They do levy a 10 % service charge on the bill which they clearly mention on the bill which we were happy to pay as the service was great! Overall great atmosphere and experience ! Would definitely go back! They also have an outlet in renshaw street and smithdown road !

Been on my list for a while and finally managed to make it. Lovely atmosphere and table was comfortable. Didn't wait long at all to order and the food was amazing! There were 2 of us and we chose 2 small plates and 2 bowls and that was more than enough (with a pint of 'Tiger' as well of course). Food arrived quickly and was delicious. The right amount of flavour and we're a decent size too so could properly tuck in. Hands down the Wasabi steak was my favourite, cooked beautifully for a delicious taste..will be getting this again on my next visit. The staff kindly let me take a menu to mark off what we had so can try some different dishes next time. Seen complaints people were disappointed in the food. I've eaten in quite a few restaurants like thin and I have no complaints, will definitely be visiting again before too long.

Went to Tiger Rock last week. This is my 3rd visit. Very pleased with my orders, satay lembu, Indonesian nasi goreng, Tom Kha, Gyoza & Malaysian Nasi Lemak😋

I’ve eaten here previously and went today for their 40% off January offer. On arrival at 12, there was a closed sign on the door so we were stood outside in the cold and after about 10 minutes, a member of staff came and apologised...

No queue time on Saturday 6pm. Serving within 10 minutes upon ordering. Nasi lemak (coconit rice) was outstanding. We ate so many popular nasi lemak restaurants in London, Edinburgh, Manchester, and Liverpool, but this restaurant is the best so far. The sambal was so fine, no choking and pleasant to the throat. Peanut was nicely done. Intenstine of Anchovies was cleaned properly. Banana leaves were an added advantage and elevated the fragrance to a higher level. WOW. Price wise, here at £7.80 per packet. 5 stars Mee goreng (fried noodle) was excellent. All noodles were evenly fried. Eggs was fried perfectly and created synergy with the sauce. 7 large size prawns given were very generous. £8.80 per serving was value for money. 5 stars

Wow- fresh, sincere food served by chilled and happy staff. Lamb chops- unreal; squid- to die for; crispy pork spring rolls unlike any I have ever had! Fresh and beautiful papaya salad- toned down on the chilli at my request; wine good and very reasonable....

Mixed feelings about this restaurant. They were able to give us a table without booking which was great! Food was mixed, some dishes were really tasty and others not so much. The garlic chilli squid for example was rubbery and inedible, such a shame. The Thai salad was really tasty, and so was the crispy beef and coconut noodle soup. 2 dishes per person was a good amount, the dishes were a lot bigger than we were expecting! The restaurant was drafty and quite cold at times, and also smelled like cigarette smoke. I guess the door kept being left open. They also asked us to pay for our meal before the food came, but they didn’t for the couple sitting next to us. Bit bizarre!

Really great Thai food, the place was full when we arrived for a 7pm dinner, emptied a few and refilled. Must be doing something right.. although fair to say all diners were"westerners". Very tasty, good value.

The staff is a bit weird to ask, "Are there any dishes I can take?" and "Are you ready to have the bill?" I made a reservation for the table and it stated I could stay until 21:00, the staff came to us just right after we finished the dessert, and it was just 20:23 at that time, I asked if they had another table booking so we may need to go as soon as possible, and they told us there's no any booking after, so why? The food is not that good compared to the Renshaw Street one, I may not come back again next time.

Very bad service! They talk behind me in Thai language thought that I don't understand them :( The staff told me three times that they need a table in this busy day, they asked me to finish the food early and go out (?) so weired! One of the staff even point at my finger with his pen just try to call me. So so so rude. Please becareful, they always complain customers in Thai language.

Great tasting Nasi Lemak and Satay! The Mango Sticky Rice is also worth trying. Servers are always smiling, and the atmosphere is wonderful.

Fantastic food. The lamb cutlets in particular were amazing. Their versions surpassed dishes we were already familiar with. Reasonable prices too. It was very busy even on a Monday night, so highly recommend booking. Will definitely revisit when we are in Liverpool next.

Awful! The food was cold and portion size far too small. I sent my beef rendang back, and it came back the same! Seriously not authentic!

We called in here last night on the off chance they had a table and we are so glad we did! When entering the restuarant we were greeted by a friendly host who showed us to our table. They gave us a few minutes to decide on drinks. Then gave us plenty of time (but not too much) to choose our food. The dishes are small tapas style dishes so we ordered 7 dishes between us including the coconut rice and the kimchi which was spicey and authentic, everything else we ordered came out quickly and piping hot, the steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare, as ordered and was still sizzling when it arrived at the table. I still had room for desert so went with the apple spring rolls with coconut ice cream which was so nice. If you are in liverpool and love good food cooked well then you'll love Tiger Rock.

A place to have authentic South East Asian food. Thai, Malaysian, Singapore and Vietnamese. They are tasty and very nicely cooked, as a South East Asian I rate it 4 out of 5 ⭐️. Laksa was good but definitely not Sg. Nasi goreng was very good with wok flavour. Mee goreng with prawns (udang) was ok. Service was very good and attentive. If you want good South East Asian Food is the place to come. 3 dishes are good enough for both of us as we are not big eaters. Each dish portion is similar to Asian size. 👍🏼🙏🏼

Excellent authentic Thai food with some excellent dishes from rest of Asia. I had the Tom Yam Gai with jasmine rice and prawn crackers. Best I've tasted out of Asia. Competitively priced for Liverpool City centre. Excellent low key service and a relaxed atmosphere. My friend said the wine was a bit oricey though. But I don't drink alcohol often anyway.

Margaritas took 40 minutes despite told they were "on their way" twice. "apologies for the delay" doesn't really suffice when we've been waiting that long. Food is ok, middle of the Rd variety of Asian dishes.
