Amazing service the loveliest lady at the front counter, food was delicious!! a great price for a lot of food and everything was cooked perfectly, will definitely visit again!

Went in for a latte and a bacon and sausage, was absoulty amazing and best service! Food was great.

Visited this cafe on the 17th December. Upon walking through the door, we were ambushed by a very flustered lady shouting that the touch screen order does not work, and we have to write out our own orders. This was repeated many times like we are idiots. We gave our order and waited. And waited. And waited. 45 minutes later, 2 baskets of stale crisps arrived at the table with apologies about the wait. We were the only customers in the establishment. 4 drinks finally arrived after asking for them to come before the food. 1 hour and 20 minutes to receive the food. Now, if the food was lovely, we would have dismissed the wait, but it was vile, cold, and inedible. Gone off bacon and sausage, cold beans, eggs that tasted like they had been fried in cat urine! And toast like patio slabs. The only thing decent on the plate was the hash browns. We did feel sorry for the lady in charge as it seemed like she was cooking, taking orders, serving and everything else, despite having two workers there with her but they where as helpful as a chocolate teapot. We did laugh about our experience but will definitely not go back or recommend unless we want to stitch people up. A quick bite to eat before travelling home turned into nearly 2 hours of mayhem.

Warm welcome, delicious food and nice place. The waitress does her best to please the customers. I totally recommand this place. Only negative point : the place was a bit cold (but i'm sure if i had asked, she'd have turned the heat on 😇

Friendly, great value for money food. Only a few negatives; too many labels on the walls and there was an elderly gentleman sat watching videos on his phone with the sound on. Would definitely go back though and recommend.

Under new management. *Great* value. We had a veggie Full English and a jacket potato; both well cooked, generous and as affordably priced as you’ll find anywhere. The lady now running it is clearly making a huge effort relaunching it after it being closed a while. The cafe has the same decor as before so she’s not had chance to put her mark on it yet. However she’s super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Really hope this succeeds. Thoroughly recommend giving it a go.

Tried to go for breakfast this morning after seeing all the good reviews.... turned up 9.30am .... was closed & according to Google it was open from 9.00am.... very disappointing as we had travelled in from the coast ....

never had a disappointing meal here! the breakfast is amazing, the tea is lush, the cakes are worth the extra 30 mins in the gym! staff are friendly, i warn you to wear "comfy pants" as you will be stuffed in a very good way!

We live nearby and decided to make impromptu one Sunday. We we're so impressed. We're definitely going to be back. It was so reasonable in price. We got massive glasses of Fresh orange and two very needed large coffees that were really good. I had the breakfast burrito which If you pick any three fillings, you get free cheese! It was so yummy and there was so much choice for filling. My other half had a flying start breakfast which he also really enjoyed. The Sausages were a particular favourite mention and you got two slices of toast with it-most places only give you one. We're looking forward to coming back again soon!

I visited at lunch time and was greeted very well. Pleasant and upbeat start. The cafe is immaculate, clean and tidy. Customer service from the owner and wait staff was first rate. Having ordered a full English breakfast with coffee I engaged in some friendly conversation with the team. Food arrived promptly and was well presented. Obviously using quality products to ensure good taste works. Every item tasted lovely and there was certainly enough food to fill even the most healthy appetite. I can definitely recommend this local cafe and I’m sure I will be a regular. Thank you for a lovely meal.

I don't often post but ..... Just had a beautiful breakfast here. I won't forget it and I'm a breakfasty kind of guy. I ordered the start me up with some crispy bacon and a sausage. All was made with love and tasted really great. The coffee too was really really good. I would def return if it wasn't for the fact I live in London but to all you Aidens fans ...... try this, it's truly great food, a lovely place served by lovely people. Well done !!

Not the first time I’ve been here. The service is just pure friendly as soon as you step food in the cafe. The food is dead quick and you get portions that fill you right up for a mint price. Been meaning to try this place for ages because I've heard good things and it always looks nice when I've passed. We were not disappointed. It was quiet but very welcoming, clean but cosy, a really pleasant vibe and the food was good quality fresh upmarket tasty cafe fayre. Coffee was quality as well and all in all its great value. We will definitely be returning soon.

First time visit today we visited here today for breakfast and it was wonderful! Had the vegan full English which was really tasty and fresh. Very cute little cafe. The cakes looked delicious unfortunately we didn’t have room to try them but maybe next time!!

Thyme Square is my all time favourite place to meet up for breakfast with my friend. The quality of the food is outstanding and its fantastic value for money. Well worth the short walk from Gosforth High Street. Not only is the food amazing but the customer service is great unlike other venues. I'm treated like royalty and will continue to support Thyme Square.

I have visited on a number of occasions and never been disappointed yet. I often eat the breakfasts and these are not only voluminous but also of the very highest quality. If asked where are best places to eat lunch or breakfast in the North East I would certainly say that Thyme Square must be one of the best.

Love this place! We had 2 vegan and 1 vegetarian breakfast last Sunday and it was superb. Everything cooked to perfection as usual. Thank you Paul, I wish I lived nearer but will make sure I visit the next time I'm in the area.

Popped in not knowing what I fancied, I ended up having a chicken causer salad, it wasn't on the menu but the owner happy russled it up for me. It was delicious it had warm chicken and crispy bacon on it, with lots of crunchy salad , loads of dressing and grated parmasan. It should definitely be on the special board. It's a must try.

Take away today due to covid restrictions. We had the best festive bap I’ve had this year. We also picked up the ham hock pie and soup for later on. It was amazing and home made. Would highly recommend a visit and supporting a local business.

What a treat this cold windy Sunday - a takeaway Sunday lunch from local establishment Thyme Square Cafe - excellent service from when we called to order and then collect to us devouring it. Large portions beautifully cooked. If you live local you need to try it excellent value.

I went there today for my lunch and got a kebab and chips with coleslaw (takeaway). I just moved to the area and decided to try some places locally owned. The food was excellent and much better than the greasy kebab I had in mind. The staff were lovely and I will be returning again with out any hesitation

I've eaten at Thyme Square Cafe many times in the past, and really impressed with how they've adapted their whole menu for takeaway. They still achieve the same high standard of all of their food, and the breakfasts in particular are fantastic.

Como asiduos a este establecimiento, no podía esperar para probar el burrito de desayuno. Me comí salchicha, tocino, morcilla, frijoles y queso, mientras que mi esposo recogía salchicha, tocino, tomate y queso, y nuestro hijo comía panqueques y jarabe de arce. No decepcionó, las porciones eran de buen tamaño y no quedaba ni un poco. El personal es amable y eficiente. No puedo recomendar este establecimiento lo suficiente. Sigan con el fantástico trabajo, volveremos muy pronto.

Que cualquiera pueda escribir una mala crítica de este lugar es increíble. He estado varias veces para almorzar y desayunar este año y siempre he tenido una excelente comida y servicio. Todo está siempre fresco, muy bien cocinado y presentado por un hombre que realmente se preocupa por lo que hace.
