My husband was absolutely ravenous for his mock chop! although caused him to have an asthma attack due to his allergy to chops. Let me bring my dog in and let her try some mozzy sticks x

Had a nice spicy pepperoni from here when i was doing an emergency callout in kirriemuir. Very nice food.

Usual chip/kebab shop food . Sometimes forget part of your order when delivering lol but always get it to you

I got 2 pizzas and they where the best pizzas I have ever had. The spicy chicken calzone I got was so good with the grilled chicken and the jalapenos. Donner pizza had crispy donner and both had super good stringy cheese

I use this place quite often and have never had a bad meal yet, they dont take ages to deliver and foods always good, hot and the delivery guy/lady is always super nice.

Batter was too thick and doughy. Strange tast to batter too. Inexpensive but taste let's it down.

I bought kebabs and chips from here. It was the nicest take away I've had for a long time

Kebabs are pleasant. Fish fine, but small. Good if you are hungry, and not expensive.

Great food and super friendly staff. Highly recommend authentic Turkish food.

Ordered a takeaway from here asked for it to be extra hot as previously ordered a pizza and received it cold,we've also received paper in food aswell in previous orders. should have learnt then not to order again but never again now. Anyhow, when our order came this time round the chicken pakora was like it had been sitting out for days and just chucked in a microwave to reheat!. Absolutely disgusting. The batter was like rubber & you could not even pull apart with your fingers. My partner had a haddock in batter and again batter was absolutely disgusting it was sooo yellow/loked undercooked and soggy. I phoned up to complain and was passed on to the actual ownerof buisness who was rude on the phone after me saying goods was disgusting and explaining situation to him he was not very nice on telephone either. I was told that I was to get money back for order. About maybe 20mins after coming off telephone the delivery driver appears at my door with another chicken pakora only in which was soggy, like rubber and again fit for the bin again & she got the message to tell me i was not getting my money back for goods only another pakora. The food went straight into the bin. The customer service is appalling. We certainly won't be back!

We stopped at Thrums chips shop, Kirriemuir, after a lovely walk up loch brandy, 5 adults and 3 children. After waiting 30 minutes on our food, it was old, the chips and batter was totally burnt. My little boy was nearly sick as the sausage was smelling off and extremely cheap looking meat. We couldn’t eat it. Dry and tasteless. But what makes it worse, the owner, who served us, was rude and dirty. When I went back to the shop with our food to tell him we couldn’t possibly eat it, he told me to ‘get out’, no money back and no fresh food. I was totally shocked and upset that this man is getting away with speaking to customers like this and selling old burnt food! He probably gets away with it because it’s a small town with not much competition. I feel the trading standards should visit this shop immediately.

This is a wee gem. Whether normal chippy style food or pizzas and kebabs....all quality service. Always happy to give you what you need collect or delivered.

Greasy undercooked and overpriced.

We have used Thrums Takeaway on a number of occasions as they offer a delivery service. I always have Fish and my son Red Pudding! Approximately 20 mins after placing your order the food is delivered to the door by a very nice, friendly lady. It arrives beautifully cooked and still hot, served in cardboard boxes. Both the fish and red pudding are really nice, hot with crispy batter and the chips also still hot, crispy on the outside and soft in the middle.

Top notch! Experienced business, using fresh ingredients and cooking to order. Kirrie is lucky to have them.

Always enjoy the black pudding supper from here. Cooked to order & staff always helpful. Food well wrapped so still hot when arrive home.

For the second and final time very disappointed chip's cold food overcooked will not be back

We were looking for a local takeaway still open after 8pm and were really glad we found Thrums in Kirriemuir - very friendly service and the food was piping hot as it was freshly cooked. It's open from 4-11pm.
