We had the Korean chicken burger, the beef brisket burrito and the nachos. The food was really good and we would definitely visit again.

A booked table of 5, had been set and reserved yet when I sat down the first thing that happened was I stuck to a sticky mess where previous spilt drinks hadn't been cleaned properly. Not just one patch but my whole side of the table. I member off staff came and cleaned the table but still missed the area so I did it myself. Then 2 of our parties drinks had flies in them, not once but every drink that arrived. Finally I ordered a whole rack of the Korean ribs, only to find on arrival although advertised as slow smoked and succulent they were dry and tasteless, I was so disappointed that a great ingredient could be so ruined by the re heating for service. I ate approximately half when the easter finally asked if everything was OK with the food. Now the 5 times ruined 'drinks were removes from the final bill, but I had to ask for the ribs to be discounted as they were basically inedible, they were half discounted. As a table of 5 we were highly disappointed by the whole experience and we would not be keen to return.

Nice place, tad expensive for drinks. Food was awful. Waited an age for my food and when it arrived I couldn’t eat it as it was saturated in salt. When I told the staff their reply was, “nothing to do with me!”

Quirky interior offering amazing food and an excellent selection of beers. They also offer the option of a third of a pint on most beers.

I loved the place, the service was friendly and quick. The food was spot on and the esthetic of the place was brilliant. I will be going back there no doubt and I'll recommend this place to anyone!

The wife and I came here for lunch last Sunday as it was a while we didn't come here for a nice meal. My hamburger was amazing, and the wife's roast was also delicious, with a special, unique smoked flavour. Our waiter was great, and very friendly, and my craft Vienna lager was lovely and refreshing. 5 stars for the 3 monkeys! That is 1.66 stars per monkey!

We had a great experience with a recent booking. We booked the Mezzanine area on the top floor for my brothers 40th, it was for a small gathering of around 30 people and this area was perfect. Booking process was easy and we're so helpful in all our questions, food was lovey and reasonably priced. Staff on the night were great aiding us in our drinks order and checking to make sure we had everything needed. Would definitely book again. Fantastic staff, great venue and good value.

Expensive for Ipswich but a nice place to sit for a beer. One of the guys' behind the bar comes across as a bit patronising and they're happy to charge premium prices but let kids run around screaming.

Strange encounter here. We came in for a couple of drinks with friends & I didn’t feel very well, my partner ordered a glass of water for me. I popped downstairs to the ladies and was in there for a couple of minutes. As I was washing my hands, a member of staff came in and started questioning me as if I had done something wrong, with a male bouncer standing behind her staring at me silently, it felt like he trying to intimidate me. I explained that I had a baby a few months ago & don’t go out much anymore that’s prob why I felt a bit unwell, but feel totally fine now. I wasn’t drunk, wasn’t falling over or causing any trouble, there was no need for him to be there, or the strange questions from her. We went home soon after as felt very confused & uncomfortable at what had just happened. Never had such a weird experience in any venue before.

Main meals were brought out before the starters, orders were messed up, wrong food brought out. Food that was served was cold or under cooked. The staff clearly realised how poor everything was, as we were told we didn’t have to pay a penny for the food before we even complained. We were a party of ten people, it was the worst restaurant experience we have had and don’t think we will return.

We hired the mezzanine for end of term drinks. Staff were very helpful and everyone had a great time

Here for Christmas meal, enjoyed the food and being out. Surroundings are industrial , food great.

Whilst I was a little sceptical about the quality of a bottomless brunch, this one was an unbelievable experience. The food was fantastic and all came out together even though there was 16 of us. Danielle behind the bar went above and beyond and made sure that our glasses never ran dry!! We had no negatives from our party and we definitely book again!

Nipped in for a drink whilst waiting for the bus, we had 20 mins. Lad behind the bar (dark hair, specs and checked shirt) this Sunday afternoon was alone. He made some guy a coffee that seemed to take forever, then some other lads (4 of them) asked for the samples of 4 beers, this took another huge Length of time, the bloke behind the bar hadn’t even acknowledged us or apologised at all, I watched him top up the glass but by the time he’s faffed and saved some beer in the kegs…. We had to leave so £10 walked out the door. I understand busy, but he needs to understand people won’t wait long. We deserve better. Will avoid

Came for a open mic night to support a freind, didnt have any food so can't comment on that, wide range of drinks/real ale which was a surprise for me. Music levels were just about spot on an could hear the artists clearly even over people talking. Can't wait to pop down again

Superb monthly quiz night as always. A very welcoming venue with a great choice of drinks and food.

A great bar in Ipswich with an excllent selection of beers. I Particually appreciate the German beers in October/November. The food is ok, not amazing, but if you want dinner and out with friends it is fine. I like the Garlic Sausage. For the price the portions could be a bit better though. The loyalty system is really generous and a rare thing to see. The staff are polite, it is clean and it always has a good 'vibe'.

We went to The Three Wise Monkeys for bottomless brunch, the food and service was fantastic and there's a great selection of draught beers and ales to choose from. We will definitely be going back.

Very enjoyable evening visit. Interesting selection of ales. We were not eating at the venue, but enjoyed the ambience and the beers. There are numerous attractions arranged for the benefit of punters, so we'll worth checking out. The funky disco started during our visit.

We visited to celebrate family birthdays. Arrived at 5pm and were the only guests in the upper dining room. There were only 2 or 3 senior staff on and the rest appeared to be trainees. We got drinks in reasonable time and then ordered our food. The main course took quite a while to arrive. Several meals included coleslaw which was very strange as it seemed like it had loads of ground pepper in it..... my meal was 'OK' (tempura vegetables, haddock burger) and just about warm enough to eat without complaint. Generally the food was enjoyed but nothing to write home about/special. It then took absolutely ages to get any further attention from the staff and I had to visit the bar and ask them to come over and take our order for puddings/sweets! Eventually got them ordered. They took quite a while to arrive (at this point there were still only TWO tables of visitors eating!!) Puddings/sweets were enjoyed, but again nothing special. After complaining about certain aspects of our experience, the lead waiter did give a discount on our bill to make up for it.... overall a pretty disappointing dining experience = won't be going back again :-(

We had an awesome night here last night. To be fair we always enjoy the Three wise monkeys but the Middle Earth quiz was absolutley packed and what a great quiz it was. We had burgers which were excellent and my partner loves the East Coast IPA which they brew themselves. Indeed we were talking to a Scottish guy who I think is the new boss - he was telling us about some of the things he has planned like a mad quiz where you are competing directly against the other teams and no questions....I dunno if I got that right but sounded really cool :) Definitely up and coming place and really happy to see they are still trying and doing well when there s so much negativity and money is tight for everyone.

Unfortunately the brisket wasn’t good… it was dry. Beer selection was good and the other meats were nice.

We popped in as the venue were advertising a beer festival. Despite nearly all the beer being IPA beer, most of it was in good shape although the strength of the beer was mostly around 4% abv so there wasn’t as much choice as we would have liked. Sadly there was not enough customers there today and that was disappointing for the staff because they clearly made an effort to organise this festival. We attempted conversation but the staff clearly weren’t there to engage or keep the few customers they did have, in for longer. A reflection of a chain pub rather than an independent I think. We also had a bite to eat and the was paid and purchased on their app. Here I admit we were really let down. The fries at £5 were extortionate, they were luke warm and covered in some sort of seasoning. The red slaw was just red cabbage swimming in flavourless gunk that resembled a soup rather than coleslaw. The small plate sausage my husband ordered was incredibly measly but it was pretty tasty. I had bao buns w pulled pork, they faired slightly better but the food bill alone was £30 which I think was robbery. When we were ready to leave the barman rushed over to ask if we wanted to pay for the drinks, a surreal experience as he behaved as if he thought we were going to leave without paying. I hadn’t even got up from my seat and it was completely obvious my husband wasn’t going to do a runner despite getting up front his seat, the reason for this will become clear. We were an ordinary couple enjoying an afternoon out. I have a disabled husband who hadn’t had a beer for months and his sober wife who drove in to town for an experience. We certainly got one. They may be used to drunk runaway customers but we certainly not that and that behaviour was uncalled for. We will never ever go back.

Nice quiet (at least when I was there) pub. Great beer and gin selection. Very friendly staff, and not mind blowingly expensive, either. Their barbecue menu looked extremely good, but we didn't try it (too early to eat). I like the place a lot, and will be visiting again. Recommended. 👍👍👍

Brilliant dinner here the other evening lovely meaty menu with lots and lots of combinations available allowing you to really pick out the perfect meal for you The food is solid and the portions are incredibly generous Definitely will swing by again if I find myself back in Ipswich

Will not be going back for food... Having been to the Colchester Three Wise Monkeys I was looking forward to this. I had a booking for 9 people, we all ordered however when the food started arriving there were multiple dishes coming out that we had not ordered. The waiter kept asking whose they were and stood there with them despite us saying they were not what we ordered. We all knew what we had ordered however he printed the long receipt of starters, drinks and mains and made us trawl though the list (whilst out food was on the side going cold) to work out what mains we had ordered. We found that there were more main dishes than people and when we said this to him he said "oh maybe it's my fault". When the correct food arrived it wasn't great... My chicken burger appeared and tasted to have been cooked at the local crematorium...

Best pub in Ipswich. Centrally located. 3 foors. With Gin bar downstairs. Live music ground floor and food upstairs. Great grill menu,and great selection of ale's and craft beers. Large and very popular.

can’t comment on the food but i was impressed with the choice of craft beers and ales. The 80s cover band they had playing on Saturday evening was superb

Service is friendly if a little inconsistent. Food takes a long time to come out, but when it does, it's fantastic. Reckon we caught them on a bad night, so looking forward to going back soon.

Staff are beyond helpful and drinks are amazing especially in the gin bar downstairs they even have alcoholic milkshakes which I personally loved

This is a artisan brewery with an above average BBQ attached to it. Sadly the food quality is slightly variable; most meals I've had here (both eating in and delivered) have ranged from outstanding to mediocre, and three doesn't seem to be a pattern.

Our fourth Sunday night quiz which are not only hugely enjoyable and very professionally presented they also continue to raise money for local charities. In addition when I booked my tickets I mentioned the lack of Gluten Free beer last time T W M exceeded all my expectations when I found a new draught beer available. This must be the only venue in Ipswich with GF on tap. Can't think of any pub that would have made such an effort. Coeliac' s make note.

I enjoyed the food and the different kind of beers but I found the staff lost interest in the smaller table parties and prioritised the larger tables..we wasn't offered dessert or asked if we were OK or wanted anything else.. sadly very false

Really lovely pub! Atmosphere is always nice, food is wonderful, plenty of veggie and vegan options! Staff are always really friendly, and the best part? Dogs are allowed in! I can bring my lovely pooch with me for a relaxed pub lunch, water and dog treats are even provided. Now thats hospitallity!

Just popped in for the first time for a cheeky pint with mates pre meal in a restaurant. Good prices, bar menu looks nice, cool chilled atmosphere with big tables for playing some of their board games. Defo going to be popping in again for a few and nibbles, wife wanted a selfie or us 3 so obliged like any professional tech dodger

The chimpanzee that does the fries is absolutely amazing! The orangutan that's on the grill has a mean flip game with the vegan burgers! The silverback bouncer though was kinda intimidating :/

My husband and I decided it was time for a baby free date and looked at various bottomless brunch options in ipswich. The TWM's was our top choice as there were beers and gin included rather than just the usual fizzy options. The food choices...

The food was absolutely gorgeous, the cocktails were delicious, and the staff were lovely :) Excellent atmosphere, not too busy. Came here for a date and we'll definitely be back again ASAP!

Great tap room for breweries like Lervig, omnipollo Abbydale and others beer fest when we arrived for Dark beers.

Not what it used to be. This place was a breath of fresh air when it opened but since the pandemic the variety has sharply decreased and the quality has gone downhill. The centrepiece of the menu is the smoked meats but unfortunately whereas before there were a multitude of options including some phenomenal beef ribs, now there are just 4 and not a particularly inspiring choice. On my last visit the fries and onion rings were a bit of a let-down and I decided against the smoked meats (which looked a little boring) in favour of a burger. It was ok, nothing more, but was at least a fair price. The staff are good and the prices are reasonable-ish but it seems a bit of a shell of its former self and for me that is a great shame.

If you like soggy fries, onion rings that resemble biting into concrete, and waiting over an hour for your mains, this is your place.

Stopped off in here for a few beers after work, and as always they do have a great selection of cask beers and more well known drafts. Had some food to go with it, ordered off their small plate menu. It was good for the most part, the parmesan and truffle fries were so good, I could eat 2 or 3 bowls of them, the pork belly was great, as were the prawns and onion rings. The only let down were the honey, chilli and soy wings, I think the marinade/coating had been reduced for too long, as while it was sticky, they were a bit too salty and the soy was overpowering, and tasted a bit burnt, if you like marmite then this might be for you.

Popped in for a burger while waiting for my daughter. It’s set over several levels and the restaurant that I went into was dead, although the bar downstairs looked populated enough. I was greeted warmly and ordered the burger and drink. There’s a fine selection...

Great range of beers including my favourite Spanish 1 Estrella Galicia, only time I saw it in the UK and on draft too. Some other interesting beers too, friendly staff.... Gin bar is also stocked with a fantastic range

Unfortunately our last visit was a terrible experience, the food took over an hour to be served despite us being only one of 2 tables occupied, when it did come out 2 people of the 4 of us had to wait an additional 10 minutes by which time the other 2 had completely finished thier meals, even though we ordered together. Not even an apology from the man serving us for the wait or the bad timing of the meals. Very disappointed.

I am a coeliac so was hesitate to eat here but after adding my dietary requirements to the booking and explaining my need to have a gluten free dish with no cross contamination I thought I would be safe choosing the GF sourdough stack. However...

Horrendous and Overpriced! My daughter and I waited 40 minutes for food after ordering on the app (there were two other people in the whole place). Once it finally arrived, portions were tiny and had no authentic smokehouse flavour apart from the sauce and gravy it was covered in. Honesty, the wost Smokehouse I have ever been to, and we will never go back.
