Three Squares in Darlington

Solid breakfast. Nothing posh about this place, but has a hot, fresh and tasty breakfast at a reasonable cost. I enjoyed it.

We were recommended to try the full English breakfast at the Three Squares cafe so we tried it today, and it did not disappoint. Friendly staff served us a delicious hot breakfast, which came with a lovely frothy coffee - would recommend ☆☆☆☆☆

Has been around for years can remember this place as a kid as I used to get haircut above and then when finished a bacon sandwich was a treat. Place is great and you can’t beat a fry up! Proper cafe.

Have been coming to this iconic cafe for 50+ years. Although the staff and the decor have changed the bacon buttie and strong milky coffee hasn't. Yummy 😋

It is a very lovely restaurant in Darlington. The breakfast was very delicious (It was my first traditional English breakfast😊). Service is very friendly and helpful. Thank you again for all!👍😊 I never forget the hash brown 😂 Lori from Debrecen, Hungary.

BEST FULL ENGLISH ive ever had and at SUCH AN AFFORDABLE PRICE . i go here every week (sometimes more than once) and when im not able i feel withdrawl symptoms. such LOVELY STAFF who make an effort to make their customers feel comfortable. they know most their customers by name and make conversation, even memorising their orders. id recommend the full english and the egg butty. the hash browns are the perfect crispiness i’ve yet to find elsewhere.

We have eaten here lots of times mainly come for breakfast which has always been good and great value. Came here for lunch today and again tasty and good value. Staff are lovely and friendly. It's good to support local businesses in these difficult times and three squares make it easy as they don't over charge and try and keep it affordable for all.

You couldn't find a better place to get great food at great prices and the friendliest staff around! I cannot n recommend the place highly enough!!

Low grade quality of produce. Bacon very fatty. Use of cheap sauces. Tea served like dish water, unfortunately I will not return.

This cafe is over 60 years old and it's a real treat with great food, coffee and wonderfully friendly staff. Well worth a visit.

I've been out of town for some years somquite a while since I was last at the three squares, called in this morning for their £5 full English breakfast. The food was excellent and the staff were great, a proper cafe and a Darlington institution.Highly recommended.

would give 0 if I could but one star for the mug of tea. Ordered two link sausage rolls. Didnt realise at time or wouldn't ordered. Pre cooked sausages cut in half and re heated. But came out dry and still luke warm. Wife ate one bite and couldn't swallow it.I have waste so ate her's as well on leaving wife asked when were the sausages cooked and was told first thing. We arrived at 10.45 am.Is is even legal to do this especially with pork. I support local and small places but never ever again would i set one foot in this place and when ordered I didnt see the pre cooked sausages and over cooked bacon.

This cafe has been here years. It has never changed, thank god. Bacon sandwiches are perfect. It's the typical old school type cafe. Menu has a good variety and nothing is over priced, I have never had any problems when going there.There is a seating area which is quite small. It needs a more cosy feel to it but it's what it is.The staff always pleasant, nothing is ever too much to ask.Whenever in town call in

Absolutely love this little cafe. It's nothing grand, what you see is what you get, no nonsense mainly fried food, hot and cold drinks, biscuits etc. The establishment is spotlessly clean and the staff try their hardest to maintain high standards and good customer care and will always cook food to customers preference. A real positive throw back to bygone days! 😀

I used to come a lot for bacon sandwiches to take away reasonable enough, staff are friendly. However would not recommend eating in, I was disappointed with the full english and no customer toilet. I wouldn't rush back.

Called on a Saturday lunchtime for our very first visit to this cafe. First impressions were very good, nice clean and bright interior and welcoming friendly staff. We both had bacon and mushroom butties and a pot of tea. Lovely soft buns and plentiful fillings of bacon and mushrooms. Very tasty - could not be faulted - excellent value. Will definitely be back.

Lovely, friendly staff. Very good bacon buttys. Just ask them to cook to your liking and they will do their best. They do sometimes deep fry the bacon which I wish they wouldn't do as it makes the bacon like jerky.

I used to come here when I was free and single the juke box has now long gone but still a very nice bacon butty ( could do with the juke box back)

I first went in here as a kid in the 1970's, and it hasn't changed. Traditional breakfast, cuppa tea, bread and butter etc. Eat in or take out. Cheap, fresh food, served by dead nice ladies. What's not to like ?

This place has been going longer than I've been alive. It's still going after all these years for a reason. It does good, proper old greasy spoon food. None of this Quinoa nonsense. It's not Michelin Star rated gourmet wizardry, it's nicely cooked bacon, in a white bun, with ketchup and it's cheap too. Marvellous. Other breakfast options are available of course, but a bacon butty from the nice people at Three Squares is just part of my DNA. Literally. My mum ate more than a few while pregnant with me!

The only place for breakfast...

This is good honest basic food. It hits the spot ! What more could you ask for. Fine dining it isn't but if you want a heart meal this is the place to be. Oh, and the staff are wonderful.

When I was a student at QE sixth form I used to go to this cafe at least 3 times a week for lunch. Really good toasties, chip butties and sausage sandwiches. Nice and cheap as well. Could do with some free wifi though.

One of the last bastions of the Great British breakfast. Old school dining. The smells, the food- amazing. Great friendly atmosphere. Have resolved many a hangover.

this bar does the best quality cocktails in darlington. the staff are friendly knowledgeable and helpful. there s always stuff going on in this bar. salsa dancing etc and apparently the do food according to my daughter , mexican in style, but ive not sampled it

I used to go in this cafe a lot when I was younger With my friends it used to have a juke box in the back room But it is not there now . The last time I visited this cafeI had a bacon sandwich and a cup of tea The ladies who work in there are lovely
