Three Lions Cafe in Wirral

This place is usually great, with sports, and great food. But tonight was an exception. We ordered appetizers and drink and came out in 30 min with hot food. Then we ordered our main meals and they didn't come out for 2 hours and came out cold af. I believe that a party was in the back so that might be the problem and this place was ran by a bunch of 16 year olds. We asked for our money back and they said yes, but only for the cold food. So we paid 60 bucks for drinks, apps and cold food all in three hours. On a normal day this place is great. Had to go to get fast food after. Paying another 50 bucks.

Excellent wings. Our server went above and beyond.

Please remember that a Cesar salad generally comes with dressing and we shouldn't need to ask for it. Both of us lol.

Between Three Lions Pub and its sister bar - Red Lion Pub, I’ve been many times. The food is always excellent with a good selection of draft beers (the fish and chips is top notch and I personally recommend pairing it with a Smithwicks). For any soccer fans out there, it’s definitely the place to watch the game! The bartenders and servers are all fun yet attentive. The place is clearly the kind of pub that has its cast of regulars, which is always a good sign in my book. The atmosphere is cozy and friendly with booths, tabletop, and bar seating. It’s a proper British pub. There is readily available street parking as well.

Cheese curds were fantastic. We both had burgers - both were cooked to correct temperature but flavor was meh. Grilled cheese tomato soup - great in concept but could use some tweaking for better execution.

Stopped for a couple apps, they were good . Clock shadow cheese curds rock!

We were greeted at the door and seated immediately. Waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food that we received was hot and delicious. I gave the restaurant a rating of three stars for two reasons: we were seated in the bar side of the restaurant which was fine, however there was a man at the bar who was rather belligerent and noisy, using foul language which was an issue because there were also families seated in that section. It seems as if the restaurant needs to decide whether they're going to be family-friendly or a bar. Maybe divide the restaurant up as such? Also, I was surprised to find a 3% convenience fee on my bill. What on Earth is a convenience fee? When you get charged for something that can't be explained by the wait staff, it can leave a customer feeling duped or cheated. Despite the good food, I doubt I will be a return customer.

Went in on a heavy snow day and was not disappointed. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was even better. The fact that so many locals found their way through the elements to this local watering hole says a lot about their service. Very relaxed atmosphere. I've also gotten work done here as they have wifi and outlets near some of the tables.

Every time I go into Three Lions Pub, I enjoy the absolute amazingness that makes up this piblic house! The staff is always phenomenal, friendly, talkative, and informative, and, even when they're busy, are as prompt as possible with service. Their drink menu always seems to have something new and interesting to try, though their old standbys of an Irish coffee and rather eclectic beer selection are readily enjoyable. Their food menu I never can seem to get enough of, and when you go here, you need to get a Scotch egg. Also, one of my favorite things has always been the capability to go there in the very early morning when they open up for games over it in Europe. It's was not every Saturday, (last I checked) but they're typically open early enough that you can always have breakfast there.

Accidentally pushed the 1 star...we absolutely loved it there..we're always trying new places. We are from Wauwatosa..will be there again..fish tasted so fresh and great portion. But why not a smushed peas? You had regular peas.

Food took over an hour to come.

The soups are great! The fish and chips are good, a little greasy, but good. Cheese curds are good. The giant pretzel was covered in too much butter so it was greasy, also a bit undercooked. It was still doughy. We couldn’t eat it. The scotch eggs are good. Overall, food is good for bar food. Service, unfortunately, not. I’ve gone several times and every time, I’m not greeted by any of the staff when I walk in. This is a neighborhood bar, you should be welcomed in. Staff are usually standing around chatting, regardless if it’s slow or busy. Every time I’ve gone, I sit at the bar and wait 5-10 minutes for a drink. Again, even when it’s slow.

I had 1 of the best burgers Ive ever had! Incredibly juicy and flavorful with smoked gouda cheese. It has to be tried to understand how perfect it is. The fries are very crisp on the outside but not burned and sct inside. Simply incredible! My wife had the fish & chips which was very good. We had a Scotch egg as an appetizer that really wasn't very good and was overwhelmed by garlic in the sausage. The Guinness was in a very clean glass and poured perfectly.

This place has really gone down hill in service and quality. Last night several mistakes were made during our visit culminating in getting food poisoning from what had to have been the grouper taco.

Traditional style English pub. Food is good, and drinks are good as well.

It's absolutely a fun place to be, and meet up with fellow South Africans. We will be back.

Soccer bar that has a good number of tvs. Mostly premier League games, but if not a packed house I'm sure they'll put on a game from the different leagues. Check their website for game listings. Food is good and the bar tender service is first class.

One of my favorite bars. Good affordable drinks and a fantastic atmosphere. I especially enjoy coming here to watch a game because they have a large projector screen in the back in addition to the TVs around the bar.

They have hooks under the bar. Top notch. Bartender Jack has the same name as my favorite dog.

Great place good food and drinks and a great atmosphere

This is an English pub we heard about.... We wanted to try something different and so we thought we would give it a try... Service was great.... It was pretty cool feeling like you're in a pub... I ordered salmon with peach glaze and quinoa and bean salad.... I'm not crazy about salmon but this salmon was really delicious with a peach glaze and the salad was wonderful ....I would love to buy more of that... I had an Amaretto Sour drink and it was very good.... I do have to say that my favorite dessert is tiramisu and they had tiramisu.... We only took one bite from a corner just to nibble and took the rest home.... To our surprise when we got it home, it was stale and extremely hard..... So disappointed... For that, they get four stars only...... But all-in-all I still like the place. ...

Chicken and waffles on brunch menu was excellent. The little kick of spice in the maple syrup really made this special. Authentic British pub vibe, Many TV's with rugby and whatever sports you like.

One of our favorite pubs. It's got a great atmosphere, the servers are always very attentive. The food is ok.

If you want a taste of fish n chips give this place a try. Fish is fresh with batter that stays on the fish and is flavorful. Chips are delicious. Choice of peas or coleslaw both are good….yea you can eat your peas here..the atmosphere is a bar and service is prompt and friendly

One of the few authentic British/Irish style pubs in the Greater Milwaukee area. They serve hearty British fare, pints and cocktails at very reasonable prices.

This is a great neighborhood gem. British themed, it has great beer and food.

Definitely wish our server would have come by our table more to make sure we didn’t need anything/check if we were ready to order.

Jack knows how to pull the best pint of Guinness in all of the Midwest.

Wife and I went for our anniversary breakfast. She's from Driffield and was happy with the authenticity of the food. Would have been perfect if the staff weren't laughably abysmal. Two tables of people in the whole restaurant and they couldn't manage to come get our order or refills. They did have a drink at the bar together, though. I'd be more mad if that wasn't a pretty english thing to do, I guess. Hours on google had been updated three days ago when I checked, so I showed up when it said brunch would be available only to find that we were two hours from open and also brunch wasn't going to happen that day. Considering I'm an hour away, I was a bit irked. We weren't the only folks who came in asking about brunch, either. TLDR; the food was good enough for 4 stars and I'll be back since it's the only solid english food in the area that I know of, but when I finally get my full english, it better be good ya c¥^/$

Excellent fish and chips, we drive from the south shore for Friday fish fry. There are no sit down restaurants near us that even come close. I'm partial to their scotch eggs, order two per person, you won't be sorry.

Best boneless Buffalo wings I've ever had. Seriously. They're not just chicken nuggets or strips. It's like it's a real wing, just the bone disappeared. Fabulous.

This is two great places in one. It is a terrific neighborhood pub with great beer and great food. If you don't live in the neighborhood, it's a great place to hang out and watch soccer. Try lamb dishes!

Definitely a great place to watch the football(soccer) games and drink with your fellow mates.

Great neighborhood pub in Shorewood! I'll stop here after a busy day of Real Estate to enjoy a nice Guinness and the food is great too! Lots of fun neighborhood activities and block parties -- great place to watch a soccer match of a big UFC fight. Great owners and great staff and patrons.

Very lovely food and reminded me of home. The music was a tad loud but the delightful food made up for it.

Not sure if I caught them on a bad day, but the food was terribly greasy and burnt! The biscuit was very stale! The staff was friendly, but the food was terrible.

Was very quiet (due to weather) but my bartender was a sweetheart named Cat and she put golf on for me, and we share dog and cat photos!

WOW female bartender was NOT interested in taking my order. Kept talking to coworkers and then had an attitude when she gave me the time of day. Not interested in returning! Too bad as I live across the street. Neighbors had bad experience with staff as well. Draft & Vessel next door has very kind staff.

A delight to belly up to a great meal in the English Pub setting at Three Lions. Tink and the staff are so friendly and the food tasty. Have them pull a pint for you and slip into Jolly Old England while right in the Shorewood neighborhood. Or is it Sherwood (forest)?!? Fancy a bloody good time like our group did, much bigger than it looks from the outside. Cheers!

Went on my girls bday during the day and it wasn't busy. Bartender was very nice, we had a great time. Simple as that, it was a pleasant experience for our first time and we will be back

Great food and fantastic service. Compliments to the chef for the best corned beef and cabbage I've had since my grandmother passed. Bartender and server Kat and Ashley, respectively, made my night! Felt right at home and will definitely be back!

Locals hotspot with great service. The unique British Pub is not just a theme for decorating the walls but carries through the menu & taps. Scotch Eggs are delicious but not always a good choice for the uneventful. Its a great spot for watching the game and next time I'd like to step up to the oche for a game.

Great little neighborhood pub in Shorewood. The bar and wait staff were super chill and friendly. Excellent service. Pretzel was delicious and best when shared. I would happily return.

Great fish and chips. Breading could be a touch more flavorful, but the chips are perfect. One of our go to spots for fish fry delivery.

Great pub atmosphere and the lads have done the auld country proud with the decor. I was there in early evening so it was a bit quiet but I'm sure it would be a top place for a knees-up. Bangers and mash was lovely once the kitchen sorted out a little misunderstanding, and the sweet toffee pudding was a bit of all right. Google that, Yanks, before you think I'm insulting the chef. 😉 Cheers, mates!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Three Lion's Pub in Shorewood (Lion's Catering provided food). The space was just perfect for our group of 25 guests. The fun and relaxing atmosphere was just what we were looking for to welcome our guests to the start of our wedding weekend. Sandy was great to work with throughout the planning process and was very helpful and attentive with my inquiries. The menu had so many various options to choose from from appetizers to dessert. The guests apsolutely raved about the bruschetta! The goat cheese and herb stuffed chicken breast was *chef's kiss*; our guests were raving about it! We utilized the expansion room space, which provided a private area off of the main bar (still the private room has a huge bar, too!). The couches and fireplace were such a cozy touch to make our guests feel at home. My husband and I are so happy we chose Three Lions Pub- Shorewood to host our rehearsal dinner at! We spend our Saturdays having lunch and drinks at different locally-owned bars and restaurants and we usually post pur adventures on Facebook to encourage our friends to try new places as well. The Scotch Eggs were very good, fish and chips were good. Was missing a little of what we like when we try new places, conversations, etc, I guess it is hard to explain. I think if you are looking for some place new it is worth a try.

Really nice staff and take out was ready quickly. Corned beef was shredded and pretty dry/hard, however did taste pretty good as far as flavor. The cabbage, I agree with another reviewer, super sour and tasted pretty bad. Other menu items look good so will give them another try one day. Wouldnt recommend that dish.

Waited an hour for take out I order before going. Portionso were beyond small. Atleast the food tasted OKAY
