Fantastic pub. Will definitely be returning , Nisha went above and beyond to make sure our needs were met.

Just left after having dinner with my husband and 3 kids. The menu had plenty of variety to choose from. The food was lovely. Big portions, and hot. I had the steak cooked medium and it was cooked perfectly. My children really enjoyed their meals. My youngest son though is non verbal autistic and was finding being in a restaurant tonight difficult so would not eat. Spoke to a member of staff called Simon asked him of it would be ok to provide food for my son that he will eat, served in a way that my son would eat it. Obviously I would pay. Wow!! What a service! He went above and beyond to provide my son with something to eat. The bar lady who put it through was lovely, the kitchen were very understanding and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and Simon kept checking on us to make sure we were ok. We had a great meal but the fact that you went all out to make my son feel welcome and included makes me so happy. It brought a tear to my eye you dont know how much that meant to us. He especially loved your custard so I can tell you he was happy. We will definitely be back as regulars. At least my son now has a restaurant to go too. Thankyou all so much.

Irrelevant of Easter break the atmosphere was ideal. Buzzing without being over noisy. Fion was the ultimate host, perfect service, thanks Fion.

Unfortunately short staffed so food order took 45 mins to arrive and no coffee available after meal. Staff who were in worked extremely hard

Our new local favourite, food is absolutely delicious and really generous portion sizes! We had booked a meal for Saturday where it was very busy, we had our starters but 50 minutes later we were still waiting for our main. It's not an issue for us as we could see the staff were really up against it and we just got lost in the system. It happens, not a big deal. After inquiring at the bar, not long after our mains arrived from the server with an offer of free deserts as an apology. We weren't expecting this as we were happy just to have our main but the deserts were amazing, I don't know the name of the gentleman who served us but thank you very much, made our evening!

We reserved a table for my 70th birthday party, The staff were arranging the table as we arrived. We ordered drinks at the table then casually looked over the menu. The food was delicious there wasn't much waste at all, so everyone enjoyed there meals. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience. James

So slow over 50 minutes for food when it’s not even that busy. Only reason it’s 1 star

Great night at this pub. Great food and great atmosphere helped by being full due to Wales football on. However we checked if it was dog friendly, it was, booked a table, but couldn't have it as we could only take dog in bar area. Service was really slow, but we were OK that night as we were catching up with friends, it would have been unacceptable most of the time, kitchen could not cope

We had to wait over 1 hour for what was below average frozen food

We were celebrating our son's birthday, and we ordered for dessert a cake and asked to put a candle on it. They served the cake with cheerful 'Happy birthday' song. It was really nice of them, my son was happy. The food was amazing as well. I do recommend to visit Three Arches to all my friends and familiars.

I only have one negative comment to make. I had curry which was lovely but, the nan bread was hard. Otherwise, everything else was good. Staff behind the bar very friendly and accommodating.

Nisha always looks after us extremely well and works hard behind the bar serving multiple customer at a time on busy days. Always has a smile. Thanks for looking after us.

Called in here after looking at a few houses in the area, nice find and could be a local as the houses and surrounding areas are very nice.

Happy, smiling staff, delivering hot drinks to our table every Monday morning. Very good service. Not eaten here, but food looks good.

Booked a Mother’s Day 3 course dinner. Paid £30 deposit. Called the day before to ask if they needed our menu choice and was advised no as they had plenty of provisions . Requested a table away from drafts as mum is 86. When we arrived we were told to wait in the bar as the table was still occupied . Asked if we could set up a tab for drinks whilst we wait I was advised “no as the table is still occupied” When the table was ready we were seated next to the open entrance door therefore my request to be away from drafts was ignored. Advised that there were no Sunday Dinners left! When I asked why I was answered “well it is 5 0’clock” by the bar lady! Being a vegetarian there was very little choice so I reluctantly ordered a burger. The meals came out but we had to ask and then wait for cutlery. Chips were greasy and cold on the burger meals. I also had to return to the bar after we had ordered the meals as they forgot to take my deposit off the bill. This meant I had to wait for them to remove all the meals and put them back through the till again. An extremely disappointing Mother’s Day at the Three Arches Poor stock management, and service .

Had Mother's Day meal today. The food was lovely. The service not that great. Our mains took a while to come out, we thought they had forgotten about us and it also happened to the table in front of us too. Although there was a 2 hour seating we did feel rushes, especially that there was no flow with clearing the table and bring the next course of food. The food was nice. Portion sizes good and value for money. We usually enjoy the Arches but for some reason something seemed off about today's visit.

Excellent value. I join a Spanish group here every Monday morning. Staff are always helpful and kind. I’ve also eaten here - always good and reasonable.

Nisha was fabulous, she helped by guiding me through the gluten free menu and answered all my questions she was very knowledge and polite

Very efficient. Very friendly. Good service and staff appear willing to accept slight menu preferences( eg chips vs Fries) the two girls behind the bar were lovely and very efficient. Good to see a senior lady teach a “new” staff member in such a patient and friendly manner. Overall a very enjoyable experience. Only one problem. The quizmaster shouts into the microphone. He doesn’t need to. It can become a negative.

I've left positive reviews before for the place which were well deserved but my visit today was something I need to tell people about. When I placed my order at the bar with the lovely lady I didn't catch her name but she had blue hair she was very friendly I ordered mixed grill and sirloin steak. She asked how I would like it cooked and I said medium rare she asked if I would like any sauce with the steak and I ordered some peppercorn to go with it which she said it was £2.50 extra and joked really but then she said it £2 so I said bargain got to have it again jokingly and 2 pints of larger which come to around £46.. any way the food arrived and the waiter asked if we would like any sauces and I replied only the pepper sauce which we ordered for the steak. He then came back and said we have had the sauce it was put on the mixed grill plate which I already had started eating. He then came back and said if we want more pepper sauce then I would have to go to the bar and order some more and pay for it, which he was very rude and straight to the point which made our visit feel like we shouldn't have been there. Such a shame to be treated that way my friend and I feel that we won't be returning anytime soon. Such a shame

Had a lovely server named Ben! He was kind and well mannered. He gave me and my mum. Great options of what to eat! He came with our drinks and food really quickly too!

Came in for food last week and was served at the bar by Katie. She was very happy and greeted us with a smile. She seemed very interested in who we were and how our day was going which was refreshing.

Ben knows how to poor an unbelievable Guinness. 10/10 would come back again

What I like about the Three Arches is that it’s big and I booked for 8 of us and one table sat us all. We all had different meal and every one of us enjoyed our meal. Also next Wednesday 28th I’m back in the Three Arches with more of my friends this time I’ve booked a table of ten but there could possibly be more of us. THANK YOU

Festive for 30 people went really well, food and service excellent. We had a really enjoyable time, everything went according to plan thanks to staff. We also had an anniversary celebration on 10 February for 35 people in the function room. The buffet was delicious. We had the bar and the barman was very helpful and friendly. Everyone had a great time. The staff were so helpful. Thanks everyone.

Always amazing food and very reasonably priced. Danielle is so lovely and always makes a fuss of my 2 year old when we visit which gives a good child friendly atmosphere. Lovely outdoor seating and play area. Couldn’t recommend enough!

Overall a pleasant experience, however I did book for 7 and there were only 6 spaces available and the 3 small tables pushed together were crammed against a wall on one side. The food was ok and as it was 12:30 on a Saturday the pub was quite quiet which was nice as service was good at the bar.

Food was absolutely stunning, my steak was cooked perfectly as was my mother in law's gammon. The kids had lasagna and a classic burger, everyone agreed the food was great, my 7 year old said "They couldn't even make it better next time" Danielle who served us was polite, efficient and her service was fantastic. The company I work for often hire the function room for meetings. Danielle is lovely and always provides us with a great service attending to our every need. We don’t receive the same standard of service if she is not on shift.

I always really like coming here; the food is great & they have a really good selection including a comprehensive gluten free menu. The atmosphere is relaxed & there is plenty of seating. Service is good as well, the staff are friendly. Prices are reason & in line with what you’d expect for “pub grub”. They always are accommodating for larger parties as well, & there is a function room upstairs.

I had reserved a table for 3 but, as there were a few tables free, we could choose where we could sit. All the staff were cheerful and friendly and, despite being busy, our meals were not long in coming to our table. We had all ordered fish and chips and we weren't disappointed. The fish was excellent and covered in a deliciously crisp batter. The chips were also delicious - everything was piping hot. We will certainly return.

Me my wife and son had Sunday lunch last Sunday at the arches. We ordered large beef dinners. The portions are huge. We ordered extra roast potatoes and Yorkshire as we weren’t expecting their dinners to be so big and couldn’t finish it all. Definitely one of the best Sunday lunches I’ve had in Cardiff

Not impressed with the food here at all. Roast beef dinner, had to ask for a steak knife to be able to cut the meat, Yorkshire pudding was awful, hard as iron, had to be replaced, sprouts were the frozen variety - just awful, roasties not wonderful but acceptable, & the carrots were ok, gravy quite tasty. I would not choose to eat here again, worst example of pub grub fir a long time. Sorry 3Arches, just 1 out of 10 I'm afraid.

Had a cracking bite to eat. Popped our for a house viewing and stopped here on the way home. Lovely staff, food was quick and enjoyable. First time I've been in and would most definitely come back too.

Ordered a salad but contents were incomplete. Mentioned it to the server and the manager kindly offered us desserts complimentary. Was a very kind gesture - thank you. Food was otherwise good and plentiful.

Great atmosphere at this place, loved quiz night. We were new customers but have been back since . Friday night for food was obviously really busy compared to our midweek first experience but the atmosphere and kind staff help with the wait.

Most courteous staff including the boss Christian. Excellent food in general especially the North Atlantic fish and chips. Super quality. Keep it up. All what is required now is to retouch the tables paint and change few chairs👍

Staff were all lovely, very helpful and friendly, lovely atmosphere and the food was very good all in all a lovely evening celebrating my mums 82nd birthday

We pre-booked a table for eleven people, but had to change to 12 people. I used the reply mechanism in the original confirmation email to make the change, but did not receive a follow up email. So, I had to phone to confirm the change. I also made a note, on the booking form, that 4 of our party were vegan or vegetarian. When we arrived, we waited for a short time to be seated. On ordering our first and main courses, a number of dishes were unavailable, mainly the mixed grill. The food we did receive was good, though. However, one meal, which was for our strictest vegan, had to be returned twice, as it was delivered as a vegetarian meal, with cheese, the first time, and with sauce and salad, which we had requested not to be put in the burger, the second time. This request had been noted three times! Our family member was given a refund for this, immediately, but did not, then, have a main course, at all. Ten of us wanted to order desserts, but there was very little left of the desserts that were on the menu. So, only two of us had desserts and that was St. Clements tart, which was not even shown on the menu! It felt like there had been a problem with supplies to your establishment between Christmas and New Year. It was very frustrating, especially as we had booked a table two days in advance!

We were here for Christmas dinner. The table was beautifully set and the service was actually ok except for a small error when retrieving the dessert. The starter and desserd dishes were very good and the main course was ok. In my opinion, the price/performance ratio wasn't quite right.

My partners aunt had her 90 birthday meal in the 3 Arches, the waitress who served us was absolutely superb, could not fault the food or service , there were 14 of us and we all enjoyed the experience Thanks you

Proper pub atmosphere, nice people, good food.

We love going to 3 arches, food is great and reasonable priced. We brought family from abroad with us last night they were a bit put off because the server kept coming to clear empty plates as people were still eating and in my experience as a hospitality worker we are told do not clear away until everyone finishes. Also the loos were a bit messy one had an overflowing sanitary bin and the other had poo stains in bowl. We are used to this but its not acceptable, but our family aren't and its not a good advert either Apart from that all was ok

Had a wonderful visit most recently at The Three Arches Pub. What a wonderful atmosphere, especially at Christmas time which really added to my time at home from London. The staff are second to none, Nisha on the back bar was very accommodating and made recommendations on what to drink as I can be quite fussy with my red wine. Shaq was equally as helpful and really contributed to making my visit one to remember. I will be back.

Visited for some Christmas Eve lunch yesterday and this beautiful, warm and friendly pub is the definition of service with a smile. The pub was busy but so well staffed and every one of the staff members were brilliant. Lovely steak and ale pie with chips and gravy and a beautiful pint of Barry Island IPA. This a nice, family friendly pub with a great atmosphere and large outdoor space for the summer months. I recommend the cowboy burger on the menu - very reasonably priced and good quality food. The beer selection is fantastic also!

Actually a really great pub….but… and they’re by no means the only pub… why do you have to charge SO much for alcohol free beer. £5 for a bottle of AF Erdinger? Absolutely shocking.
