Another terrible and seriously overpriced example of Thai food in North Devon. At £9.50 for noodles, with a bit of egg and vegetables, which probably cost 30p to make, plus 50p-£1.50 extra for any other ingredient, I would not have eaten here had it not been the only option at an event that I attended. Tofu is a standard ingredient in pad thai, whether you have chicken, prawn etc. or plain. Yet here, it’s an extra 50p. Ordered with prawn for an extra £1.50 and I think there were 4. Hardly any vegetables. Noodles undercooked. Not enough sauce. Not enough garnish. Serious rip off. Will never come back.

Visited Thongsay food van during our stay at Woodford Bridge Country Club, service was super quick, super friendly, and the food was amazing! 👌 Good sized portions and great prices too!

If you like authentic Thai food, look no further. The curries are fantastic and the chicken satay is the best I've ever had. As far as North Devon goes, certainly on a par with Moran's in Westward Ho! Highly recommend.

During a camping trip to Stowford Village we fancied some pizza but they were closed. Next to them was the Thongsay Thai Van. We had a good conversation about Thailand and our experiences living abroad. They are a very friendly and welcoming couple. The food is a good filling portion. Highly recommend if they’re in a campsite near you in North Devon.

Wow! Just had a meal from these guys and girls at Damage Barton Campsite , North Devon. This is a visiting service operating from a smart van travelling to campsites in the Braunton area. Just had appetisers of Pork Ribs, Satay Chicken, and Spring Rolls, plus Prawn Pad Thai and Tofu u Yellow noodles. Delicious, cooked quickly and efficiently and really friendly. Made me very happy and certainly very happy to have spent my hard earned £ here. Thanks.

We holiday in Woolacombe in May every year and this year decided to try this Thai Van. I love Thai food and was really excited to try this out. We ordered all three appetisers which were so nice - the ribs were incredible! We also ordered a curry and a noodle dish which were also lovely. Reasonably priced and lots of food. My only disappointment is that we don't live locally - if we did this would be a regular takeaway for us

There aren’t enough words to describe how amazing this food is. I always knew they were good due to past times but this time it blew me away!!! The spring rolls and ribs are immense. The food and service is second to none. If you ever try them (and you should) you will be disappointed believe me!!! The best Thai food this side of Thailand!!! Not 5/5 it’s atleast 50/50

Fresh quality ingredients clearly go in to every dish Bay and her team make. The starters are fantastic and the weekly changing menu gives a great variety so there is always something new to try. They are always welcoming, happy and clearly have a great passion for what they produce. We will regularly be getting our Thai fix from them!

This place used to be the best in Barnstaple and we travel to India a lot every year, but now it’s bland tasteless and without the correct measure of spices. Last time we ordered six week ago had spices not now. We ordered paneer masala, chicken madras, pilau rice, sheekh kebab, saag paneer, tarka dahl, purata and veg samosa. Paneer masala bland no flavour although the paneer was spongy as it should be. Chickens madras we ordered medium hot no spice at all, no flavour nothing was bland as tomato soup if it was used with tandoori chicken. Pilau rice was cheaply made what poor people eat in India rice mixed with margarine to look like pilau rice but merely boiled rice with margarine added (even poor people in India mix with butter not cheap margarine). Sheekh kebab no spice bland no flavour awful. Saag paneer again no spices used again but the paneer was spongy and saag used was fresh. Tarka Dahl wasn’t Tarka Dhal it’s bland with no tadka it’s just boiled lentils bland and what Indians and is typically served during the mourning when someone dies in that part of the world. (Absolute no spice bland soup with tomato). Purata was ok as it should be and veg samosa was as usual frozen deep fried no issue with that. What the hell has happened to this place no spice bland rubbish food. We used to go here all the time food was magnificent but now it’s rubbish bland and you can do better with ready meals out of a super market. Also the via there menu on their website it worked out at £48 collection they said £54.95 £50 paid be aware the prices have gone up! Was great now bland rubbish no spice being used awful! We will not be going back ever!

Had food from here delivered twice whilst we were staying in Hele Bay last week. Absolutely delicious, both times.
