An Excellent Evening. Was a little worried as this was our first visit to Zen and the last few reviews haven't been good. We arrived and were promptly taken to our table and drink orders given. These arrived soon after along with menus. I ordered Dim Sum for one and there was plenty of choice, all delivered hot and beautifully cooked. My wife had vegetarian skewers and she really enjoyed these. Main course for me was Chinese Special Curry which was a little on the spicy side and my wife had Vegetarian Pad Thai which was a healthy portion. We also shared Egg Fried Rice and Salt & Pepper Chips. Even though we were slightly full we were enjoying the food so much we opted to order a dessert. Both of us enjoyed a nice slice of Honeycomb Cheesecake washed down with a Cappuccino and Americano with Hot Milk. Everything we ordered was delicious, service was excellent and the atmosphere was such that everyone was enjoying their evening with excellent choices of food. Upon leaving we noticed a large framed photograph of Samuel L Jackson enjoying the hospitality of Zen. If its good enough for Hollywood stars then it's definitely good enough for us.

I went to Zen with 2 friends to celebrate Christmas. We ordered the set menu and the soup was ok. The duck was served on a plate that looked like it had been thrown at the wall before serving. I ordered the sizzling steak with an extra £4.90 supplement charge. It was honestly disgusting i took one mouth full and left it, it was like chopped up dog food. My friend had seafood and she left most of it which is not like her. When the lady came to collect the plates i told her how bad the steak was and she just took the plate and went away. when i asked for the bill, the man came over and took payment and i stated again i didn’t eat any of my main cos it was so bad, to which he rudely came back to me saying why did you not say before! Which i did to his colleague but she didn’t do anything. I would have brought this to a waiters attention earlier if we could get any attention from the staff we had one drink the whole time we was in there because they were no where to be seen. Bad food and even worse customer service will not be returning g

Very disappointed after an excellent first visit in April. Duck starter arrived at the table luke warm and our king prawn main course vegetables were raw (not Aldente) !! Our Satay main course was tasteless and the Chicken was tough/overcooked. Generally the food served was below standard and on bringing it to the attention of the management our concerns were dismissed. What a shame, won’t be back !!!

The Zen has always been one of our favourite restaurants we have been going for a few years. We have recommended this restraunt to lots of friends and family absolutely loved it. We went 3 weeks ago and wow what a disappointment, we always have the banquet we compared the pictures tp our last visit, the soup was half full and watery, the starter platter the chicken has shrunk, the mains the prawns are not as big as they used to be and the rice used to come with nuts raisins etc and this time it came plain in a small bowl. We left still hungry. I understand everything has risen in price but maybe put your price up rather than reduce the quality. I asked the waitress and she said we should of told them what rice we wanted...why would we when it's always been the same. Honestly we was not impressed and will not be returning, very disappointed.

What a fantastic restaurant! The food was just simply delicious. We went as a family for our daughters birthday and it did not disappoint. Service was spot on just lovely 🥳

Went on the excellent reviews, a party of 4,unfortunately left very disappointed with the whole experience, service very rushed, some of our food was over spicy, Definitely won't be going again to Zen.

My husband and I have really enjoyed meals here some years ago and I wanted to go again to celebrate my birthday. We got a nice table as requested but , apart from one lady who we assumed was in charge,staff were disinterested and just going through the motions - clearly more interested with ‘regulars’. We didn’t feel welcome despite our efforts to engage with staff and the service was almost off hand. We selected from ‘a la carte’ menu and had a good starter and whilst I enjoyed steamed seabass my husband’s chicken was almost rubbery and he couldn’t eat it. When the server collected the plates and asked in an automated fashion how food was there was no reaction when he mentioned the chicken. We had ice cream for desert and paid bill but whilst waiting for taxi owner asked how meal was just laughed when my husband explained we’d had lovely experience previously but the chicken was rubbery this time. Very disappointed and we won’t be visiting there again.

We had checked in at a nearby hotel and decided to venture out for a wander, and were about to settle on Wetherspoon's when we spotted this little place. Always a good sign when a place is busy at 6pm on a Wednesday in the off season, and they although we hadn't booked, they were happy to fit the two of us in. Led to a quieter table up towards the back, no problem. Went for the two course option at 16 quid or so. Good selection on there, but the BBQ pork with Thai chilli and spices was terrific. Very quick and attentive service and we'll chilled beer, everyone very friendly-- if we were locals, this would be a go to. Thank you very much!

We were in St Anne's for a long weekend- 3 friends We booked here in advance, would recommend reservations as its hard to get a table Food was delicious, all the starters were amazing I'd go back again if I was visiting There's a good drinks menu too Portions are large

Great Chinese among the best I've had! Lovely waitresses and thank you for choosing a table to make my mobility issues easier for me on Friday night last. Patron parking possible on their forecourt. Will definitely visit again if in Lytham.

Not our first visit to Zen and it won't be the last I hope. The staff are friendly and welcoming from the start. Of course the food is the star here. I have had the rendang a couple of times and can heartily recommend it if you like flavour with a kick. The starters are just the right amount to set you up. My colleagues had other dishes including the massuman curry and there were no complaints. The fresh vegetables dish was crisp and flavoursome. If it's good enough for Samuel L Jackson is good enough for me.

Really pleasant meal - went on a Friday night. It wasn’t too busy and the service was very prompt. Main dish of sambal was good - not as spicy as the menu suggested, and the sticky rice was over cooked but still quite tasty. The starters were good but chicken satay was light on the sauce and the pork nori rolls were tiny and not really worth the cost. Overall we had great service and it mostly tasted nice but perhaps a little bit pricey for what it was.

An amazing place and right in the centre of town near the hotels. Excellent food and service in comfortable and stylish surroundings. Easily accessible for those with mobility issues, a great selection of wines and beers to accompany the gorgeous food. Visit if you’re staying locally, you won’t be disappointed.

We had a takeaway, we had a portion of chicken wings, which consisted of three wings, poor value, we then had a chicken curry which was paltry to say the least, this cost £19.80 we were done

Beautifully decorated and the food was fast to arrive and delicious. Reasonably priced, we will be back next time we holiday up that way.

Went on a Friday night , service I thought was slow 20 minute wait fir drying to come & 30 minutes to take food order. Once it was ordered , food came no problem, food was nice.

Best Chinese and Thai I've had for a long time. Everything tasted fresh and wasn't oily like some places. A little pricey (compared to my local) but was worth it and the staff were great and banter was on point. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

We've been a few times, and it has always been marvellous. I suffer from an unusual serious allergy (chicken). The staff have always been very lovely about it, checking with the kitchen and trying to accommodate me. Absolutely lovely service from the boss at our last visit ( we tried to have a few different items from the menu), he must have been back and forth to the kitchen five times to ask about my allergy! Yet he never stopped smiling. no impatience at all (it turns out most of the menu items have some form of chicken/stock incorporated). We ended up joking with him about me being still alive (just my sort of humour). The food we did end up ordering was great, spiced to perfection. A big shout-out to the Zen! I just wish I could taste all of your menu items, here's to pork stock in the future ;) Thanks guys!

Weather not great but glad love Zen best Chinese in St Annes. Had the Salt & Pepper Squid which was so good really tasty June had the Pork Balls which she enjoyed & had the Sizzler of Fillet Steak with Mushroom & Garlic which was tasty & I had Filet Steak Sizzler in Spicy Black Pepper Sauce & boiled rice which was fantastic washed down with a bottle of Magners & a Calypso Coffee excellent meal with fantastic friendly staff

Love this restaurant we always visit when in town. I had sizzling beef in black pepper sauce which was fantastic, my other half had prawns to start and teriyaki beef fillet for main. Cannot fault it, lovely family restaurant.

Called here one evening for dinner. Whilst the service was decent enough, I couldn't really see what all the hype was about. Food was tasty enough, but was nothing to write home about. Starters were great, but the mains less so. Might visit again and give it a second try.

This was my first visit to the Zen Restaurant for a takeaway meal. I ordered King Prawn with egg fied rice and Chicken Curry with chips. Took 3 minutes to drive home and chicken curry is luke warm the chicken is cold in parts, the onions are not cooked and crunchy and there are no chips. Instead they've given me rice. Tiny portions I definitely will not buy food from here again

Dined here recently and must say it is the best Thai and Chinese food we have eaten for many years, the Seafood is evidently brought in fresh and the poultry top quality, the ingredients used here are not compromised. The presentation of the food matched the ingredients and the handcrafted flowers from vegetables are a lovely touch. The staff were very attentive and welcoming and couldn’t do enough despite the restaurant being full which created a lovely atmosphere. The decor is very tasteful creating a real oriental atmosphere. Used to be excellent, but has defaulted to the usual reduced-flavour gloup served to the British. Whilst Thai/Chinese staff always tend to be somewhat serious, the atmosphere here would be ideal for a funeral parlour.

Terrible meal we came here 8/9 years ago and food and atmosphere was some of the best on the fylde coast tonight food was average at best!
