Definitely worth the walk from town! Beautifully fluffy jacket potato, I had the mexican which was devine, I didn't want it to end ! The beef chilli was made with slow cooked brisket I think rather than mince which is a nice way to a good chilli..just over a tenner for the spud and latte which I think is really reasonable and better value for quality than some of the cafes in town centre. Definitely recommend!

First visit yesterday after noticing it a few weeks ago. We were instantly drawn to the Butter Chicken and couldn’t decide between jacket potato, loaded fries or the sandwich. In the end we went with two sandwiches and the decision was justified! Would definitely recommend and will absolutely go back!

Visited for the first time today to try the jacket potatoes, it's so refreshing to find somewhere serving up proper size spuds!! So much filling too and super soft potato, the only improvement for us would have been if the skin was crispy (can't beat a crispy seasoned potato skin 😋). Just something to bear in mind, we visited 45mins before they closed and the coffee machine was already turned off so, if you want a coffee, arrive before 2pm! Loved the new decor, comfortable chairs, smart facilities. Wouldn't mind going back to try one of their crumbles (and the coffee 😉)

Visited today on a Groupon voucher. We had a full English breakfast. The portions are huge, double of everything, kept we going for all day. Will definitely be back 😊

Was sceptical about eating here after the previous review but needn't have been. It was lovely. We both had turkey and there was a decent amount of meat, veg and roast potatoes too. Alot more than I expected particularly as it was on offer at £7.25 pp. Really friendly service too.

Great food can't believe I haven't been before. Pizza was big and freshly made. The chicken burger was lovely and fries nice too. Definitely recommend it will be back to try the metre pizza.

Even thought the menu looks plain but their breakfast is just extraordinary. Fair price for a very satisfied tummy!

Had Sunday lunch today, very disappointing. The beef was a workout to chew, 3 small roast potatoes overcooked, thought I was going to break a tooth, 1 carrot, 2 pieces of tenderstem broccoli and the best bit, a decent yorkshire pudding. The meal was covered in Gravy which would have been better in a gravy boat as not everyone likes their meal covered in Gravy! No atmosphere. Very disappointing. It was a half price offer and I would have been really cross if I had paid full price. Won't be returning.

Called in for a coffee before the remembrance service, and was blown away when we were given our coffee for free. Really appreciated it and will come back one day for some food.

Had Sunday lunch today. It consisted of a large Yorkshire pudding, 2 small pieces of meat, 2 rock hard roast potatoes, 1/2 carrot and 2 tiny slithers of tender stem broccoli. Very disappointed

The place was empty when we arrived but we decided to give the place a chance anyway. The staff were standing around chatting as we arrived which to me means everything should be immaculate. It wasn't. Dirty cutlery a dirty glass and filthy floor spoke of people not caring. The food was quite good but no one cared about how the place was presented. We won't be going back.

Went for my sister's Birthday today with our mum and our daughters popped in later for a drink. Staff very friendly and incredibly helpful and accomodating. Food was lovely, more than enough on the sharing meze board for 2 and there was 3 in our group! Music was at a good level and just gave a great atmosphere in the background no impact to conversations we were having. Staff even spoke to us before changing the mucic to something more lively as there was a Birthday party upstairs but again not too loud to interrupt anything. Will be going back again.

The place was empty on a Saturday lunchtime and it didn't take long to work out why. Dirty cutlery and a dirty glass. The floor wasn't clean. When a place is empty I expect everything to be spotless but instead the staff were standing around not doing much. When we came in they seemed to make themselves busy moving things around. The music was too loud for an empty place making conversation difficult. And even when it was half full was still intrusive. The food was actually pretty good and is the only thing that prevented this place getting a worse review. However the smell of burning coming from the kitchen doesn't fill anyone with confidence! Unfortunately until the attention to detail in front of house improves we won't be coming back.

It's all the small things that have let my dining experience down. Arriving to see staff standing around chatting. Once seated, I had to point out the food residue on my cutlery. I began to notice how dirty the floor and skirting were. The glass my drink came with also was not clean with specks of dirt on the rim. The food, however, was very good. Will not be going back.

I was missing to full English breakfast and I was passing by . Here I come - I found this place. I am fussy with food but I can tell for me it was delicious - just right. I did not have time for a picture because I was busy eating.

Attended for brunch with friends. Food not that great, mentioned to the waitress who responded with I will let the chef know. Never heard anything back. Service hit and miss, we were there for a bottomless brunch (5 of us) we were all drinking prosecco so asked she left the bottle as it would need to top up in 10 mins. We were told she would be told off for doing that, we then waited 20 mins for the next round of drinks.

We had breakfast, although the food was tasty, the portions were a bit small, but the waiting time was much too long. I have mixed feelings, I will probably choose another place for breakfast next time.

The Yorkshire Deli hosted our wedding day and was amazing from the first contact to the actual day. Karen was at hand to answer all my questions and cater to all our requests, and made us feel so welcome. You all made our a wedding a truly perfect day. Loved our wedding card from you all , our food and our deserts. Would recommend highly to anyone wanting a perfect intimate space to hold a celebration 🍾 I cant thankyou enough for all your hard work.

Always call for brunch after getting my hair done and love the maple bacon french toast. Nice coffee, and the service is great. A little gem of a place.

Went here for their introductory bottomless brunch offer. The service was great and drinks brought regularly. The only room for improvement is to bring the food out sooner as there was only 15 mins when it came out. When it did it tasted great so overall an excellent place and service.

Try the mocha made with oat milk. Delicious 😋

Absolutely dreadful experience! Went here today to celebrate my husbands birthday having been several times in the past and always had a really enjoyable time with good food. We ordered a specials burger with halloumi, fries and salad. The burger was dripping with fat, the halloumi greasy and the burger bun was so stale it was completely inedible. Unfortunately far worse than the food was the attitude of the chef who reprimanded the young waitress to such an extent that the poor girl ended in floods of tears and had to ring her dad to collect her. Nobody has the right to make a person feel this way, particularly when the food he serves isn’t of a good standard. I hope the waitress manages to move on to work in a happier environment. We won’t be returning.

Popped in during Pride event with friends, pushchairs and a dog and the staff accommodated our large party. Ordered the 1m pizza between 4 of us and it was incredible. Wait time was a bit lengthy but worth it.

We visited The Yorkshire Deli for lunch, for a quick bite to eat, aware that they served pizzas and lunch items. The restaurant wasn't too busy, maybe 3 or 4 other tables in. Strangely, there isn't a drinks menu, meaning there's a lot of back and forth questions with the waitress before you know what you want to order. It also means you have no idea how much drinks cost until you get the bill. For food, we ordered the garlic sausage pizza, and a Caesar salad. The pizza was great, and huge! Tasty ingredients and good value for money. I could only eat half, so took the other half home to eat the next day. The Caesar salad however, was very disappointing. A bowl of cheap iceberg lettuce, chicken similar to the sliced packeted stuff you find in a supermarket, a few croutons and a small amount of watery dressing. I'm not sure how both of these menu items are priced so similarly, a very large and tasty pizza, and a cheap sad looking salad that wasn't even presented nicely, just dropped in a bowl. We would definitely return to Yorkshire Deli for a pizza, however I would avoid the salads all together. All in all, not bad. But certainly nothing to write home about. More of a place to drop in if it's convenient than plan to go there.

Not sure where to start. Firstly we booked a table for 10 via open table and arrived to be told they couldn't access bookings on open table so werent expecting us. Luckily it was quiet and they fitted us all in. It was our late Mums birthday and we wanted to come somewhere special. We've been coming here for years and the food has previously been exceptional with a lovely atmosphere. Unfortunately this time it was really poor and quiet. All the breakfasts were cold, no beans served, ran out of black pudding (but did offer extra of something else), toast was stale and rock hard. The French toast was dreadful. Tiny portions of what I can only describe as atrocious food. Again stale bread (almost like melba toaat) tiny cut up pieces of bacon. Vleatly lownon syock and thisnqlwas 10.30am. We complained and sent all four back to then be told they'd run out of bacon. To be fair the lady serving us was really good and very apologetic. When we came to pay x2 French toasts were taken off the bill and a full breakfast. We were told the original chef has recently left. Such a shame because we'll sadly never return. So disappointed. First birthday of our beloved Mum and it turned into a disaster. Extremely disappointed in the whole experience.

Went here today to share the giant pizza between 5 of us (great idea and novelty with plenty of pizza for 5 people to share) but the pizza was overcooked unfortunately. Last time we went it was alot better though. Please change the music as well as alot of our group moaned at the lack of music license and use of bad musical covers. Pricing was good though for what we got.

It's a fabulous place for breakfast!! Can't comment on the evening meals, but they're probably just as good. I had an English breakfast and I haven't tasted tomatoes as delicious ever! The coffee (flat white) is also great 1 cup is never enough for me 🥰

We were looking forward to a nice breakfast at Yorks. Deli but face with aa extremely poor service and partially cold cooked breakfast . That’ll be our very last visit . Other tables also seemed to be getting the wrong food or having to wait too long

I was disappointed with the food on my 2nd ever visit here. My first visit made me suggest this venue as a post wedding celeIbration event breakfast option for a few friends. I ordered scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on toast. It was left on the pass for at least 3 minutes with no visible heating elements. The cold salmon was on top of the scrambled eggs, which meant the eggs were luke warm when they were delivered to the table. I ordered a pot of Earl Grey tea, the pot was only half full which meant I only had about 1.5 cups of tea, this should have yielded so much more if the pot had been filled to the top. We noticed a couple leave as no one had taken an order from them for around 20 minutes. A person on the table next to us sent back her food as "the egg wasn't cooked enough" However, my other firends who ordered the English breakfast were satisfied, apart from the now brown toast :-)

Afternoon tea with a twist. The food was absolutely delicious and great value for money! They accommodated us so well as members of our party had food intolerances. Would definitely visit again!

Visited this morning for the first time, with it being Fathers Day it was quite busy, the poor girl who was waiting on on her own was working like an absolute trooper, we loved everything, the iced coffee was delish and the food was amazing we will defo be back! Would highly recommend the Yorkshire Deli we couldn’t fault it.

Went for lunch there today by myself and have to say I was so impressed. This wasn’t my first visit and will say it’s improved since I last went. The food was absolutely delicious, all the ingredients were super fresh and very good portion sizes. Staff were friendly and welcoming. I had a quick chat with the manager and chef with regards to the quality of the food . I had the mozzarella sandwich which I always have if I go somewhere and it is on the menu and this was the best by far. They used fresh buffalo mozzarella and basil instead of the usual pesto. Will definitely recommend and return.

Visited with a friend and her baby in March 2023. Had heard good things previously so wanted to give it a try. Bit of a random experience to be honest. Firstly, very difficult to manoeuvre a pram in/out and around the restaurant. Restaurant had a strong gas/fuel smell throughout. Staff not hugely friendly and had to ask for menus - initially given breakfast menus despite it being around 1pm. It was not made clear how to order, ie waitress service or order at til. Coffee was decent, sandwich choices to me were underwhelming (expectations were high from previous good reviews from friends) and what I had tasted quite bland. Reasonable choice of vegan options for my friend - she had the vegan burger however and was also somewhat underwhelmed. Wouldn’t return in a rush, have since heard perhaps evening service is better?

First visit here. Booked for afternoon tea. Generous portions, good selection, well presented. Sandwiches in delicious fresh bread. Hot pork pies. Freshly baked warm scones with jam and clotted cream. Offered a selection from the cakes of the day with cream and berries. Really pleasant staff, lovely clean surroundings, good service, great value for money. We could not ask for more. Couldn’t quite finish it all so the spare cake was boxed for us to bring home. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable experience and we will be returning to try the rest of the menu.

Great little local restaurant with pleasant and attentive staff as well as good food. Would have like the hollandaise sauce to have a but more flavour though!

We visited after Wednesday lunch and it was still busy. We had a good 40 minute wait as I heard the chef was new. We weren't in a mad hurry but I did have to nip out and top up the car park ticket. The Diavola Pizza was really good and the garlic mayo ( would of liked a bigger portion of the mayo?) and my daughter said the blue cheese burger was good too. Staff friendly. Will definitely go again.

Went for my baby shower in the upstairs function room. Lovely food and a nice atmosphere 😊 Ate far too much! Catered for both vegan and vegetarian too.

Enjoyed a good lunchtime snack. The portions were good and everyone enjoyed their choice. Looks like some renovations are taking place. Still a good environment.

Would benefit more choice of fruit juices .pineapple apple cranberry and charge for a child's portion overall nice food.

Definitely best pizza in the town!!!

A group of five of us went for lunch yesterday and had the big cosy table at the back two of us used their starter and main specials deal for £9.95 me and my partner both had the beef and chorizo stew which was delicious. I had that much Pate I brought some home and my partner had the French onion soup. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the staff were all lovely and friendly. Thank you :) They also have alcohol free wine!

1st time of going here, and it was better than what I was expecting. The food was really very good with quick friendly service. I'll definitely go back.

We booked a table for work Christmas do, the place was cold, food arrived late, changed our order without asking us first. We decided to cancel our dessert and went to a local cafe instead Very disappointing. I also cancelled the booking for Friday and won’t go back there again.

Beautiful food and excellent service...a lovely spot to watch the world go by...update: just been again for a family Xmas meal, food was excellent and the staff very friendly...very reasonable prices too!!

5 of us visited here one Friday afternoon 2 ish..it wasn't busy but service wasnt that good..waited for drinks 20 mins due to staff cleaning and preparing for later customers I guess..ploughman's lunch was basic with"warm pork pie ".never had that before probably never again.couple of us had the veg burger..they said it was lovely,and the best they'd had though,so they'll more than likely visit there again. I feel it was an example of being short staffed and 1 of the 2 members of staff was multi tasking ,(the other was the chef) definitely a hard worker,left her a decent tip as she earned it ..

Amazing, the staff here are so polite and extremely kind! ALL the food is fresh and super delicious. Made to feel incredibly welcome even got dietary advice for gluten free meals (which they also serve) and we were not rushed to finish our meals . Absolutely amazing would DEFINITELY recommend!

Had my daughter’s 18th birthday celebration at Yorkshire Deli upstairs. From my first to last interaction with the lovely staff it was a delight. We ordered their meter long pizzas and had 5 between 25 of us. Various toppings and utterly delicious. Thank you so much for making our evening special.

we attended a birthday party and the Deli was the ideal place. We were given the entire upstairs space. Quite intimate with plenty of seating. the service and food were fab.

Unfortunately small, not the best portions and food. The staff are so lovely though.

Went on Saturday (24th Sept), ordered a Mezzo they were very friendly and kind. Ordered a Mezzo pizza 50cm pizza and Calzone for me and my partner. Goods: Very tasty, very flavoursome, got my money's worth for £25 the pizza was great. They had Vegan Sausage as I'm a vegetarian. Was very full afterwards which is always a good sign. Bad: Couldn't say anything bad.

We booked a table for our wedding anniversary expecting a special place to enjoy some good food. The dress code said business casual so we dressed up and was surprised that clientele was mostly shorts and t shirts. When we arrived it was s matter of fact sit anywhere and immediately asked what we would like to drink. I said I’ve not had time to look yet, the answer was we have no menu for drinks but we have soft drinks tea and coffee. I nearly left at this time as I wanted wine, o we have that too. I did order a glass but had no idea of price I asked for large glass which came as a half filled glass for £7.65. Only had one bottle of non alcoholic beer too. We ordered and waited about forty minutes for food, which was mainly cold dishes. It did look nice but there was no oil and balsamic vinegar with the bread we ordered which was listed on the menu. We asked why it wasn’t with it, waitress had to ask what I meant but she did bring it with far too much oil in which tasted very bitter. Not a great experience. Sadly very disappointed lots of staff but didn’t feel looked after.

this is my first time visiting, and the food was nice, sort of reasonably priced and staff were kind. however, it was over 45 mins before we actually got our food despite there only being 2 of us and around 3 other tables getting their food before us even though they arrived after us… We only ordered a pizza and a sandwich, with a side of chips each so not really sure what took so long and why other people got served first when they had much more food then we did It’s not the end of the world but it is very annoying to sit and watch multiple tables get served when they arrived over 20 mins after us and we were sat there super hungry and bored waiting and wanting

Visited this place a few times now. I have never received bad service the staff are friendly and the environment is nice for a smaller place. I would highly recommend French toast, creamy mushrooms, pizzas including vegan option and the coffee iced or hot.

This place could be excellent but it’s so hit and miss. I’ve been here a fair few times for breakfast and your experience entirely depends on which chef is in and which staff are waiting on. Today was our third really poor experience with long waits and burned bacon with nothing happening when you mention it much like previous times. The same poor chef stood behind us and dressed down some of the young staff right next to us as we were eating which is probably why there were not enough staff there today. We avoid this place when we see he’s working now which is such a shame. The menu is excellent as is the coffee and we’ve had some great experiences here but today was the icing on the cake leading to this review. In all honestly I’d go somewhere else which is such a shame.

We used The Yorkshire Deli to cater for an event we ran for 40 people who'd travelled from all around the country (and even from abroad). Never again. The event were were hosting has a "Yorkshire" theme, so Yorkshire Pudding wraps seemed like a fun...

Baby shower Yorkshire deli were so accommodating from the start, I hadn’t actually been before but they sent me a video of the rooms we would be able to use… we hired the whole up stairs including the outdoor area for a baby shower where...

Went with friends for breakfast, booked a week in advance. When we turned up, they didn’t even know we had a booking, we weren’t shown to our table - we’re told “just go upstairs near the bar”. We weren’t waited on for half an hour...

So disappointed with our meal today. Firstly we were told no pizza, burgers or curry- that was ok for us but there were some other disappointed diners who went there specially for them. I ordered the Caesar salad which came with an option to have...

Food was delicious and the staff were excellent with a good sound track playing.

Just had a lovely meal with my son. Very friendly staff, nice and clean and a reasonable price. My son wanted the fish goujons but they had sold out. It was really nice for the chef to come and apologise to my son in person....

Long list of choices for lunch, including specials. Good range of drinks, soft and Alcoholic. You can reserve tables online inside and out, weather permitting. The food is high quality. The staff are lovely and the service is good.

Called some time back asked for 2 scones to takeaway lady was abrupt give me 2 scones charged me £5 pounds sure she just made price up quickly left never to return again scones average price very unreasonable won't be going back.

The only reason this review is a 4 star is because of the price if it was cheaper this would definitely be a five star And the cast iron teapots are very nice

Great 1 metre long pizzas. Very tasty and so much food! Star ate delightful especially our waitress Izzy. I've been for a weekend breakfast, it's always buzzing this place and serves great food at affordable prices. Public Car parking opposite which is a bonus
