Sunday Lunch - All I can say is WOW! Thank you all so much for an absolutely delicious lunch. Roast potatoes were amazing! Brother in law said it was the best Sunday lunch he’d had in years 😁 Bar staff were lovely and the atmosphere is exactly as you would want in a village pub, warm and friendly. Oh and a cozy fire too.

What a wonderful place this is, we googled dog friendly pubs near me and we decided to visit this lovely place, we weren't sure if we had to book for food especially as it was a Saturday evening, turned up asked the lovely smiley young lady behind the bar for drinks and then asked if there would be any chance of having an evening meal, we went to sit outside as was lovely weather, she said she would ask the person in charge so came back said yes they had two tables for us with our lovely dog, 😍, the place had a lovely feel, everyone seemed friendly, the staff were lovely, the food was excellent.

A treasure of a find. Booked Sunday lunch for 4 people for a birthday celebration. A very warm welcome. Husband had made them aware it was a birthday and I was presented with a lovely birthday card from the landlord and team within a few minutes of arriving. Had drinks by the fire before then being shown to out table. The menu had great options. We had 3 courses. The portions were very good size. The food was absolutely delicious. We all cleared our plates. Just before dessert arrived the landlord returned with a beautiful Bakewell tart with cream and a singing happy birthday candle. We also had a bottle fizz and a bottle of wine which were very reasonably priced. Can’t recommend this place enough, very warm and friendly staff, excellent choice, excellent value for money and superb food. Will definitely be back.

We had never been here before, but having seen the reviews for Sunday lunch, thought we'd give it a try. The pub itself is lovely, really cosy, traditional and a beautiful situation - so we had a great view by the window. We all enjoyed starters, Pate, Prawns and mushrooms (the latter being the stand-out dish!). Mains were belly pork and beef, which everyone really enjoyed. Portions are very generous, in fact, due to having starters, we couldn't finish the mains, but the mushrooms were worth it. Only criticism is that they serve the sauces, (apple if you have pork and Horseradish for beef) on the plates and as I really don't like horseradish, I had to eat around it, so if you don't like either, make sure to ask them to leave it off. Too full for pudding, but we will return, so maybe next time.

I have been going to this pub on and off since august but didn’t eat here until the last week in October. I’m really fussy about food for my family after several bad experiences so always set my expectations low. However after reading some of these reviews I was somewhat cautious but it’s not far from me so I thought I would try it for myself. I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t wait long, the food was hot, the quality was great, desert was very good and people were friendly. I would give 5* however the vegetarian options weren’t great - perhaps a Sunday dinner with everything but meat? Also they aren’t open as frequently as I hoped resulting in me going to another pub for lunch. Since then I have eaten there on three occasions all of which were great. Congratulations to the new owner and chef - a great job 👏

This pub is a stunning pub in a beautiful location and could be amazing however....the food is just awful, such a shame as it really let's the pub down! I chose this for a family birthday meal after looking at the menu online...I was fooled, the menu is a 'sample menu' and has absolutely no similarities to the menu actually received. It is advertised as 'locally sourced food'...the 'seasonal vegetables' I think must have been sourced from an aisle in the local Iceland supermarket. The crinkle cut frozen carrots were rubbery and the frozen brussel sprouts were hard and tasteless, I can only assume these had been cooked in the microwave. The chips had been fried to the point where they were greasy crispy shells. Each dinner looked bland and tasted equally as bland. The bill also took us by surprise and certainly didn't reflect the food. We would have had a more satisfactory meal in Weatherspoons for more than half the price. The car park is always empty and now I understand why. We have mentioned this in passing comments with friends and their opinions of this pub were exactly the same. I just wish I had of spoken to them first as we could have gone elsewhere.

Place is nice but after that the experience isnt a good one. It's a pub but the prices are extortionate. £20 for a 6oz rib eye steak. I had the £13 lamb and potato pie a few chips and peas and I dont tell a lie when I say there were 3 small pieces of lamb only. This was worth no more than £8/9. My wife paid £17 for a chicken supreme. Spinach was supposedly in the dish but there wasnt any. There were 20 in our group and most were disappointed. The desserts were minuscule. I had a cheesecake and was offered no cream. My wife had a crumble that was undercooked and mushy whilst the custard was not much more than sweet milk. Which brings me to the service. A young girl served mostly alone and was really pleasant and friendly but the landlord who also served drinks was surly, rude and dismissive of any critique. At no point were we offered any extra sauces/accompaniments or any thanks when we paid a very substantial bill. The person responsible for this pub I feel is profiteering from what is a nice but remote location and is ripping customers off by overcharging and giving small portions. I would strongly advise anyone willing to spend this kind of money to look for an alternative. The overall impression from the landlord was he couldn't be bothered and that his customers were a nuisance.

We chose The Yeaveley Arms to celebrate an anniversary - we never been before, but agreed we'd made an excellent choice. A warm welcome, cosy atmosphere, and friendly service matched by a choice of great food. We'll certainly be going again.

Four of us chose this restaurant over others as we had been given a recommendation. It certainly delivered on good quality food and great service. The atmosphere was good too.

Lovely setting but very expensive for day to day dishes like sausages or pie and not a lot choice and small portions. Everything else perfect but need to encourage people to go back and eat there more often
