A real gem. Off to pick up a cod supper, curry sauce and a jumbo sausage more than enough for two. Excellent service and cod is excellent when timed to collect is when it is at its busiest. Chips never disappoint at any time and curry sauce is just what you want!

Amazing gluten free fish and chips which are delicious and addictive. Friendly service and great to have the delivery option too

Food always cold when it arrives and there rude on the phone up and complain bout the food there saying that we always ring up every week when we don't they reused to give a refund or replacement food never ordering from them ever again

Proper village chippy, friendly staff, good food and portions. Parking close by or outside if you are lucky. Unfortunately no seating, take away only but you are in the village centre. Loved it.

Been coming to these guys for years and lately the food is getting so rubbish. Our sausages are so soggy they were stuck to the bag and the chips were so greasy we just couldn’t eat it

I have been going here regularly since I moved here just over a year ago, I will say the food quality is usually great, and the portions are usually generous, however over the last few weeks, I have noticed that not only the portion sizes have decreased significantly, sometimes less than half the size of previous portion sizes, but the quality seems to have dipped slightly with it, both the chips, and the sausages were soggy and had next to no crisp to them. These last few visits have been quite disappointing compared to the many others that i have made throughout the previous year. I hope that the quality and portion sizes return to the way that they were a few weeks ago.

Scampi & chips is my usual order & is fab. Also have the cheesecakes choice & flavours are great & portion sizes are huge

Just had fish n chips, but the fish was so dry it was inedible! Must have been kept on the heated display for ages before it was served to me. So, I paid over £10 for a small box of chips. Really poor, won't be going there for take away again.

I live in wotton under edge and I did an online order and I had a hair in my fish and chips and all I got offered was a voucher for a meal which isn't good enough as I deserve a refund as its my right so I won't be going there again

Our first time visiting here. Absolutely fantastic. Chips were spot on and the fish was superb, white and flakey. All staff were knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Prices were fair for the quality of the food and we will definitely be coming back. (Live in Dursley)

3 times now we have made complaints twice pies were cold tonight chips were rock hard the manager said well no one else has complained I wouldn't complain but chips were disgusting hard like they were reheated from dinner never again will I buy from here I would travel to the lovely chip shop in Nailsworth beautiful every time

I've had many takeaways (inc deliveries) from here. Food always hot & fresh, best take away around! I have had the cod, burgers, chips, curry sauce and the cheesecake, it's exactly the same everytime (yummy!), which is why I keep going back!

Staff are always working super hard whenever we visit! Food is always perfect, not greasy at all. Tried the famous homemade cheesecake (biscoff). One word, WOW.

If there was one good thing to come out of lock down it's that Wotton British Takeaway began a delivery. There's a £10 minimum order charge and a small delivery fee of between £2-£3 depending on where you live. In my experience the food has always been delivered on time, is fresh, and the delivery staff are always so cheerful and polite - they are a credit to this award winning chippy. They keep things simple but cooked well. Unlike some chippy's you don't have to take a gamble on the food being fresh depending on the time of day you visit. The menu is traditional, with the exception of the homemade cheesecake (that sounds delicious but I have yet to try for fear that it would lead me down a slippery path to an elasticated waist line!) Would definitely recommend.

Had looked at the menu online and was intrigued by the cheesecakes on the menu. Finally went there last night. Staff were lovely. We got 3 different cheesecake slices: aero; lotus biscoff; and, chocolate orange. They were all heavenly. We're planning another visit to try the Crunchie and the Oreo ones next!

Good quality fish and chips and additional dishes such as chicken, pies and now desserts. Low prices too.

Staff are friendly and the food is good, what more could you ask for?

Before my partner and I first tried out this chippy it was recommended to me by some friends who are local to the area, we live in Yate where we have many fish & chip shop options but since trying out the Wotton British none of them compare. We take the trip at least once a week for their great food and service. YES it is a journey to make but wow is it worth it. I opt for the cod special with curry sauce. The cod is cooked to perfection with thick flakes of cod. Their curry sauce is delicious, full of flavour. Lots of other chippys we have tried have very bland curry but this one is 10/10. My partner likes to get their chicken burgers or SFC, takes her forever to choose between the two so sometimes I get her both just to keep her happy. Big portions too. This is a firm favourite in our house, yet to have a bad experience. If I was to give them some advice it would be to move closer to us. But for now I guess we will be coming to you. They are covid secure, all staff wear masks and I have seen them using sanitiser regularly. Great Work 👍

Helpful staff, reasonable prices, generous portion sizes and delicious fish and chips. All in all really good. All Covid-19 secure too and you can pay by card.

Been ordering from here for a long time, and normally the food is delicious, however recently the food has not been great, the chips have been under cooked on 2 occasions and food has been cold. I have spoken to friends who also have had the same experience. Such a shame because it was the best takeaway in the area.

Fantastic food including traditional fish and chips. Online ordering and delivery or collection. I love their southern fried chicken and chicken curry. Incredibly generous portions of chips - my photo shows only a third of the actual amount of chips. Friendly helpful staff. So lucky to have this in our town!

We ordered a gorgeous chocolate orange cheesecake from these guys and it was absolutely incredible! It was absolutely huge and serve many members of our family for days! The taste and the presentation was stunning! We also always use these guys for our fish and chips and love every every single time and we are never disappointed! RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE!!!!

Just had food delivered, a little late but live in Bagstone and house can be hard to find. Had burgers for a change, food was delicious , salad really fresh, chips perfect 10/10

By far my favourite chip shop. Not many chip shops do vegetarian options but Wotton British Takeaway does! Very friendly and helpful staff. Food is always delivered on time and piping hot. Their pea fritters are to die for!

We baught fish chips and chicken, the chicken was unb eatable as it was over cooked and burnt,the chicken looked like it had been cooked befor,may be dinner time The chips were soggy and had been full of black bits and also had been precisely cooked. The fish was fine. we baught this food to eat on the way home to bristol when we stoped to eat this food we were about 6 miles away too far to return and complain about the food. What a waist of £12

Become a regular at this chippy, service from staff is always top! I travel from Yate despite the abundance of chip shops in my area. Wotton Chippy can't be beaten. The food is still piping hot when I get home! My wife is obsessed with their halloumi burger, as am I with their Haddock and chips, it is a 15/20 minute wait so I always pre order over the phone.

Unsure how this chippy gets 4.7 score. Batter very poor and you get lots of it with little fish. Chips have got better. Would rather drive 10 miles to get me f&c fix.

Excellent chippy run by polite staff. Always a pleasure to buy our lazy dinners from time to time. I love the addition of the halloumi burger as I don't eat meat. The owner Chris is a lovely friendly gentleman and his staff are all very well mannered.

We were in wotton and decided to have fish and chips for our dinner, i cannot fault the service recieved from the staff however the fish was more batter than fish unfortunately and the chips were slightly undercooked. Also why do you charge so much for a meal deal when your kingshill branch in dursley is cheaper? The prices did shock me as the food is same quality as Dursley.
