Incredible food, everything was home made and such high quality. We had pies and pizzas and it was really good value for money. Would 100% recommend

This place is all about the quality of the food. From the moment our starters touched our tongues to the time our desert spoons were empty we were blown away by the superiority of the cuisine. The location is fine, the staff are lovely and the decor is good - but it wouldn't matter if they were not because once you're eating that's all you're interested in - company aside that is! If you love food prepared with a knowing hand then I recommend you try it for yourself and get blown away too.

We came to visit this restaurant and the food was so good as normal we both had pizzas, however the tapas never fails to disappoint! Drinks came quick and the waitress was really friendly couldn’t fault any of the staff working.

The best food me and my partner have had in a while. Very friendly staff and location are easy to find. Decor was stunning, and the inside joke on toilet doors to refer to men's and women made me chuckle.

Just back from the Windmill, amazing GF tapas, crispy beef, mushrooms stroganoff, bbq pork belly, potas bravas and slaw. For dessert we had lemon posset and poached pineapple with sorbet. Served by the lovely Millie. We also took away 4 pies for the family to try. A really lovely lunch. Thank you.

Came in on a Friday afternoon with my fiancé for lunch and we were not disappointed. Greeted by the lovely Millie who talked us through the menu and what they recommend. The menu was quite large with different inspirations from British cuisine to Japanese inspired dishes. We went for 3 large plates and 2 sides between the two of us and walked out very pleased. The brisket fell apart beautifully, the Spanish prawns were flavourful, the teriyaki chicken strips were perfect with such an intense flavour, the kimchi loaded fries were such an incredible combination, however my fiancé said his only criticism food wise was there wasn’t enough kimchi) and the halloumi fries were the best we’ve ever tasted. Everything was so fresh and absolutely perfect! The only thing I will say is that the service was slow but that was clearly due to lack of staff. There were only 2 servers working and doing an amazing job however another pair of hands would’ve helped as we were waiting quite a while to order. Overall a wonderful experience and we most definitely be back again!

Lively bar and restaurant with a good atmosphere. We chose our dinner from the FEAST menu - larger portions of tapas style food. We went for Chinese dishes and loved them all. Highly recommended

We organised a birthday celebration for 14 guests. A special set menu had been suggested. It proved very successful and the feedback from the guests confirmed that they were all very impressed by the quality and variety of the food. The service was very friendly and efficient. A great night was had by all. Well done The Windmill.

Undoubtedly the best Sunday Lunch I have eaten other than at home. It probably almost impossible to beat a home cooked Sunday Lunch but.......this was very close. Very.. We were very lucky to get a table having been recommended the night before by some friends we just happened to drive by at Midday on Sunday ( I know !!) Anyway we got a nice table , ordered the meal; from a short but excellent menu. Some wine too. The food was so well prepared and presented with some of the best gravy ever it is not hard to see why people rave over this place. Super fresh veggies, Yorkshire puddings possibly a touch over but still lovely, great roasties and the most lean and tender lamb ever. My wife's Pork was equally sublime too Combined with very friendly service there is truly nothing to complain about . Portions are very generous : very reasonably priced Pub Sunday lunches are something I avoid really but not again, my choice of venue will be limited to the Windmill however. Just too risky

Still by far the best Sunday lunch in the area. Steve, Sophie and the team always go out their way to make everyone welcome and are first rate hosts. The food, simply exceptional. Make sure you book and there is a reason it is so popular.

Went for their pizza and pie night . The food was great. Brisket on pizza is a taste sensation. Pie was freshly made and packed with meat. Generous portion of veg and mash with the pie. Stayed last night in our campervan. Made to feel really welcome by all the staff & the locals. Decent range of beers, pub & restaurant nice and clean & well presented. Excellent food, we shared a number of dishes from the “feast” menu. Would recommend to anyone.

A lovely place slightly hidden out of Newbold Verdon. The venue is lovely with knowledgeable and helpful hosts. The menu is very thoughtful and well designed with a good range of choice for all tastes. I am also impressed with the fact that the dishes are freshly made and that individual adjustments can be made to suit taste. I can thoroughly recommend The Windmill Inn.

My favourite way to break out of the long, dark, winter days. Wonderful atmosphere, with an efficient menu that offers something for everyone, and consistently excellent food quality (i can recommend everything on the menu!). And the outside seating in summer is perfect too. Steve has a great visual sense that means your time at the Windmill is an experience of great food, drinks, atmosphere, and curated 'pub details', all lovingly put together. Love it here X

Visited the Windmill Inn for the first time last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was excellent and portions very generous. There were three of us; my wife and I ordered barbecue pork, teriyaki chicken, Cajun slaw and potato bravas, our son had a calzone pizza. Everything was delicious. We also ordered focaccia and garlic bread to start which again were big portions…we ate way too much! Service was great. The menu thing where the blackboard is brought round is a bit weird, especially when you sit down starving and then have to wait 5 minutes before you can see the menu! Thoroughly recommend a visit though..intrigued to try ‘pie night’ now!

We booked as a table of 8 after coming as a couple previously. We came to remember our mums birthday as a family.
