We haven’t visited here for a while so were really looking forward to it. We weren’t disappointed. We chose the Tasting Menu with Wine Flight and it was excellent a delight in every mouthful. A perfectly balanced menu offering a great selection of tastes and flavours. My husband swapped his venison for the signature dish of suckling pig which was a very special dish. The pre-dessert was a wonderful pallet cleanser and the dessert was not sweet but just delicious with amazing textures. Staff were lovely and attentive. We couldn’t fault it and will definitely come back soon.

The Goytre Arms

06/11/2018: Had a large group pre booked for lunch and despite have orders in advance, when food arrived I have to say it was luke warm and not particularly tasty. Maybe couldn't handle such a large order, but was disappointing. Pub is nicely done out and staff were very welcoming. Sorry the food didn't live up to the surroundings.
06/10/2018: First time visit for us. Very impressed with the cleanliness and modern spacious feel. Food excellent too. Homemade curry with all the extras. BIG PORTIONS. Not the cheapest but good quality and service.

The Raglan Arms

16/02/2019: Just called in for lunch, no booking but made to feel very welcome. Service and food excellent, l had pork faggot's which were wonderful, fish dishes are highly recommended. It was quiet but imagine it gets very busy so would advise booking a table so as to avoid disappointment.
01/11/2018: We live overseas but try to visit this wonderful country Inn whenever we return to home town Abergavenny. For reasons unknown we hadn’t been to Raglan Arms for a year or more and the new menu and chef today came as a complete and pleasant surprise. It was always outstanding but now it is just amazing and in our opinion is easily the best “pub food” within 30 mins of Abergavenny!
