Return trip to the White House which once again fully met our expectations. Great service from Sophie and the best espresso martini & mocktail made by Adam. Loved the fact "Grannies" lunch was free due to my grand children having luch. Great varied choice, something for everyone. Compliments to the chef!

We dined at The Whitehouse on a Thursday evening. The space, food & service were all exceptional. We shared the warm pretzel, the soup of the day, a vegetable ravioli, the fish sandwich, the cherry pie & the mocha tart. Everything was amazing !!

Really enjoyed the visit, nothing to complain about at all. Food was tasty, and we got the pre-theatre £20 for two courses deal which was perfect for what we were looking for. My partner has gluten and soya allergies but the menu was clearly marked (not so much soya, but for GF) and the selection was good, which is often not the case in Inverness as a lot of places we have been are not so great for catering for gluten allergies especially. Atmosphere was good, staff were good - a nice, relaxing meal!

The food tastes good and the delivery speed is acceptable. The waiters are all very nice, kind and lovely. It's a very comfortable and cozy place, I recommend giving it a try.

Great place for a meal on our first night in Inverness , service was fast and friendly from the young staff and the food was excellent , the Stornoway stack to start followed by a ceaser salad all washed down with some elMadris lager , reasonably priced but book ahead at the weekends as it was busy all night and they were having to turn people away after 8

Boozy Brunch menu could be expanded a bit. Cocktails very Gin based which isnt good if you dont like Gin but the staff were lovely and accommodating and happily swapped out the gin for vodka which was amazing! Would definitely go back again.

Lovely restaurant with good ambience. Food was good in that burgers and fish n chips great but macaroni bland. Desserts lovely and cocktails were enjoyed. Service a bit slow but we were in no hurry so took our time enjoying the leisurely pace. Staff pleasant and cheerful. Birthday girl got a free Prosecco to enjoy which was a nice touch.

Terrible first impression, took a while to be acknowledged and shown to our table on arrival. When we were seated we were then forgotten about for 25 minutes! It wasn't overly busy and there were enough staff on. We were told the excuse was due to a new staff member. Food was ok/poor certainly nothing special for the pricetag. Chicken in Caesar salad was extremely dry. Won't be back! Disappointed as this was an extremely rare date away without our toddler which we listed in booking which was not acknowledged. The toilets were nicely stocked with various toiletries for females which was a nice touch.

Had a lovely lunch at The White House today (21/2/24). Fantastic food, very generous portions, great service (thank you Adam) and a lovely environment. The Arancici and soup were delicious. Fish & Chips yummy - so fresh and massive portion, Mac and Cheese fantastic . And what a lovely idea to help local charities. The restaurant menu offers a portion of "Invisible Fries" - you don't get them on the plate (hence "invisible") but the cost of the portion goes direct to a local charity. The restaurant change the charity every month. An amazing idea to let customers help donate to a local good cause. Well done The White House 👍 We'll definitely be back

The food was very nice. As an OAP they currently have a 20% discount provided you order before 6.30pm Monday to Friday. This is a terrific offer and makes the food taste even better.

Amazing lunch with great vegetarian/vegan options. The courgetti starter was fantastic and I've never had anything like it. It's lovely to go somewhere where the chef has put in some extra effort to come up with good and unique vegetarian/vegan options rather than the same old thing most other restaurants provide. Great cocktail list too! Edit to add: another amazing meal at the white house, this time in the evening. I was able to get a table with no reservation on a weekday. The waitress and the bartender working were very attentive and friendly and the chefs did another wonderful job on the vegetarian options!

Servers and food were all fantastic, best cheesecake I’ve ever had (I’m a baker for work) can’t fault anything about the evening other than a wobbly chair 🤣 (not actually complaining)

Lovely restaurant and staff. Food was excellent. Arancini to start, fish and chips were hot and fish very fresh ! Steak pie special was a hit too. Birthday complimentary glass of fizz was a bonus. Such friendly staff too. Lively atmosphere, relaxed.

Table for drinks booked. Table not cleared until drinks served although we were told it would be cleared once seated. Staff member setting tables elsewhere - taking a length of time although no table arrived in our time there. Waited over 15 mins to then ask if we ordered with staff or at bar (cocktail making party ongoing). Staff member response 'well what is it you want?' Server disinterested and would benefit from additional training. Have revieved this reception on a number of occassions at whitehouse but come back for the quality of drinks. Unfortunately this visit cocktails subpar leading to this review. 2/3 full glass of sugar and flat prosecco for the elderflower fizz cocktail. Spicy marg was overly sweet and poorly made - could not finish it. Left without ordering more drinks with the rest of our party who arrived.

Our table was in the corner and quite dark, but the meal was very enjoyable. We will certainly return. There are plenty of gluten free options.

I went for my birthday, the food was delicious as were their cocktails, the staff was very friendly and attentive, and the place is beautifully decorated with lots of lights, very dim, nice for a nice evening with friends or a partner. I highly recommend the mocha cake for dessert, and their latte ice cream is very nice.

What a refreshing change to be so well looked after by a friendly , knowledgeable server. My friend and I both have a number of food intolerances and are used to being patronised or not taken seriously when making food choices. But I'm very happy to say ... not in this instance. Alanna our server was friendly, patient and understanding. She took time to listen to our individual requirements and checked with the kitchen before answering. We had a delicious meal safe in the knowledge neither of us were likely to be ill the next day which made for a very enjoyable evening. If you are Gluten intolerant or Coeliac I highly recommend The White House. I even had a dessert which is unusual as few restaurants bother to include a GF option.

We booked a table but the restaurant was very quiet due to the time of year we visited. We were warmly greeted by Alana who interacted with us throughout the evening and was very personable. The breaded mushrooms were delicious as was the calamari. Our mains were also very nice but we particularly enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding with coffee ice cream for our dessert. The restaurant has nice lighting and a relaxing atmosphere. Thank you.

Amongst our group of eight we had venison, halibut and burgers. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. Every dish from starters to sweets was excellently prepared with delicious flavours. The highest of compliments to the Chefs. Depending where you sit, there can be a draught from the door. But this is infrequent and didn’t spoil our night. Though perhaps there is more that could be done to prevent this.

The White House is our go to restaurant when in Inverness, and new girl Alana is certainly a fabulous addition to the team. She’s a star! Bright, bubbly and informative, coupled with delivering impeccable service it made for a great dining experience! My wife and I had the best Burns Supper Food last night in the Whitehouse. The staff were amazing, you could see the head waitress carefully guiding the new waitress so she felt comfortable in what she was doing. We had Haggis Pakora to start and the Chicken & Haggis on mashed potatoes for mains with a great bottle of Malbec. The food was absolutely top notch served by very charming and professional waiting staff. The ambience of the restaurant was great as the music was good with the absolutely perfect volume setting level for such a nice restaurant. We will definitely be booking this place on our next Inverness break that's for sure.

First time visiting the White House and it exceeded my expectations. The service was amazing, the drinks were amazing, the food was delicious and portions were perfect. On top of that, the prices are really good for the quality that you get. Looking forward to coming back again :)

We went to the White House for a nightcap on our son's birthday. Alanna was very welcoming and friendly even though it was close to closing. My husband fancied a Negroni which was not on the menu, Alanna was more than happy to make this and it was perfect. The menu looked good so will definitely be back for a meal.

We came in on 2nd of January at 6.30 pm. Restaurant seemed quiet. 30 mins later, it got really busy. There was only one staff waiting on tables and one for drinks. They didn’t expect this day to get busy and they were short on drinks and some mains to due to delivery issues. In other establishment you would possibly expect chaos, complaints, angry customers due to shortage of staff and some dishes. I have to say huge thanks to Charlene the waiting staff who has stayed absolutely calm Under pressure, friendly, kept the atmosphere really enjoyable with her colleague and the food was absolutely lovely. It has been such enjoyable night. Big Thank you girls!

Place was do dark, had to use torch on phone to read menu and see what i was eating , the haddock was very chewy and not much taste , the pie was so hard i chipped my tooth , asked for tartare for the haddock when ordered none arrived , bench seats were to low coudnt eat and be comfatable. Oh, what a day we had at The White House for my auntie’s 88th! It was pure magic, right from the off. The team there couldn’t have been more welcoming, making us all feel right at home in the heart of Scotland. Now, let’s gab about the food - it was out of this world! We started with gluten-free fish n chips, and let me tell you, it was as good as any chippy by the sea – crispy, golden, and just packed with flavor. The venison steak and beef short rib? Cooked just how you’d want them, tender and full of taste. The gluten-free burgers were a hit too, so juicy and well-seasoned. For pudding, we had these scoops of ice cream, smooth as you like, and an apple crunch cheesecake that was simply to die for. But it was our server, Anastasia, who really made our day. She was a wee star – always there with a smile, quick with a recommendation, and knew her menu inside out. I barely noticed our water bottle was empty, and whoosh, there she was with a full one. Impromptu family dinner. Booked based on reviews. Very pleasantly surprised. Will be back. Wider range of desserts that are less boring would be nice. And a couple more meat dishes on the menu would be nice too. Cocktails were great. Overall service was good. There was a large dinner service that seemed to take precedent as waited longer than expected for main but otherwise very very nice - friendly - tasty.

Stopped in on a Friday night for some cocktails and although busy we were welcomed and given a seat at the window where we could people watch. We were served by the wonderful Sophie who was very attentive and so helpful with going through the cocktail lists with us both, suggesting drinks based on our personal tastes. It can be quite daunting reading a cocktail menu so it was so helpful having her guidance. We will definitely try to visit again for some food next time as well.

Lovely venue but service was poor. Table of tourists beside us were waiting for over 30 minutes and nobody came to take their order so my partner went to ask a member of staff to see them. Not a very kind Highland welcome. Calamari was nearly all batter. Mains of halibut and venison were lovely and so was the wine and cocktails.

The food was excellent and very tasty. A most enjoyable night. It was my sisters birthday they delivered the cake and badge, sash & tiara after our main course. She was delighted.

Fabulous food, we had the Xmas menu that tasted great and was good value. Service was brilliant and the setting was perfect. We will continue to eat here, definitely.

Visited the White House with my best friend for dinner in December. We shared olives and the pretzel and cheese dip to start, so so tasty, that cheese sauce is something else - yum! I had the roast turkey dinner which was some of the best turkey I’ve ever had and a plentiful portion too! My friend had the venison which she said was super tasty! Would definitely recommend and will be back for sure :-)
