Great for food drink and entertainment

Went for lunch at this gem of a place. The hosts couldn't have been any more accommodating. One of our party is disabled and in a wheelchair and we were assisted into the entrance by the landlord without hesitation. He moved the table around so that it was easy to sit comfortably. The drinks order was taken swiftly and delivered the same. There was no rush to order (even though it was busy) and the food was delicious - all freshly cooked with the freshest ingredients. Can highly recommend The White Horse and will definitely be back!

Traditional pub, small but cosy with that smell from the fire is comforting. Great atmosphere. We were able to book for a table of 9 on the same day in Easter holidays. I had the salmon with crushed boiled potatoes, it was just perfect. I would definitely eat that again. It wasn't heavy on the stomach either but it filled me up. Unfortunately I was unable to have a pudding but they sounded delicious. My other half had the lamb, when it came out it looked stunning. They even made the jus specially for him without the onion, nothing was too much trouble. He said he was very glad to have come out to dinner, he is a big fan of lamb. One of our party, who is South African and loves a Braii, said his steak was perfect, he was very pleased with his meal. The lady serving us was great, never seemed too busy and was on hand if we needed anything. I wish I had a longer holiday so I could come back!

A very nice friendly pub warm and friendly With log fires and good beer. Did not try the food so I cannot commit on it.

Very much enjoyed our visit on Saturday lunchtime. Proper traditional old pub, nothing fancy but clean, bright and well presented. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere, not too many customers today. The staff were speedy and professional while still interacting amicably with customers, many clearly locals. The food was plentiful, tasty, and reasonably priced. A number of posters advertising upcoming events were on display. A great pub - we'll be back quite soon!

Absolutely delicious food. Popped in for lunch and didn't regret it one bit. Great menu selection, fresh produce and whilst traditional pub food, what makes it so good is that it's homemade with a contemporary twist. First class; good portions, top quality, with a very friendly and welcoming licensee and staff. Definitely going back for more, along with our Sunday lunch!

Found this place by chance and what a find, the food, staff and service was first class, definitely going to visit again.

We had an amazing lunch here. We were warmly welcomed and everyone was very friendly. We opted for the Club Sandwich which was massive! The ingredients were all fresh and it tasted great. All washed down with a few pints of Ghost Ship while sitting in the nice beer garden. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again.

This is a great pub with very good food in good portions! The owners are very welcoming and also very efficient. We came as a group of 7 walkers and they looked after us very well!! Highly recommended as is the flexible menu with lots of choices!

Went to, a friends belated 80th. The sun shone so everyone could use the inside room and outside area at will. We managed to park in the car park but there is street parking nearby too. The buffet was really good. Chips, skins, scampi, garlic mushrooms, Quiche etc,. All freshly prepared and hot - often topped up with fresh supplies. Followed by individual trifles. Lovely. The staff and host are lovely Had a really, really lovely afternoon

We visited today 16th April, the baguettes were lush and well priced (£8.50). Staff were friendly and attentive but not ott. All in all I'd highly recommend this pub

Amazing food home cooked fresh food. Chief whipped up 3 off menu kids meals for 3 fussy kids. Kate and her team were super helpful and swan like dealing with a full pub on a Monday evening. Nothing was too much trouble. Can not rate them highly enough. Definitely worth a visit if you are in this part of the world.

Great food brilliant staff love it there

We booked The White Horse for my Mothers Ninetieth Birthday Lunch. We asked to pre - book our food and Simon was kind enough to produce two menus for us to choose from. On the day we were lucky enough to have the whole restaurant to ourselves ( a blessing with five children under eight ) the meal was excellent , the staff very pleasant and helpful . We will be back thank you.

Great pub/restaurant. I visited 3 times over a weekend with a large group of friends. Simon and his team were great, so accommodating, friendly, helpful. Food was superb too. Couldn’t fault anything. We all felt very looked after and can’t wait to return 🤩 Joanna

Lovely staff (yes, ALL of them!) service with plenty of smiles even though was a tad hectic here and there. I've never had the food we ate in a pub before so the quality was exceptional, well presented, tasty and good portion size. We came here last year for a spot of lunch and loved their cheesy bacon topped chips 😋😋 so was really glad when we were invited to a 60th birthday here at the weekend. Keepit going guys you're amazing! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I love this pub as it always has a nice atmosphere and the food is very good value for money and exceptionally good food. I'm dairy intolerant but they had a good selection of foods and deserts that I could have. I chose mango sorbet for dessert and it was absolutely delicious. The white horse is a pub well worth visiting. The only thing I was surprised about is that nobody was wearing face masks and that did make me feel a little bit vulnerable but then again it's the first time I've eaten out for over a year so just didn't realise how far things had moved on from covid

Brilliant lunch on 10.11.21. Lovely welcome, especially to the dog! Huge portions and totally delicious. So good that we returned the next day for dinner. Welcomed like old friends and another wonderful meal with smashing service. Thank you.

A group of 10 of us enjoyed a lovely roast dinner on Sunday 3rd October. The food was perfectly cooked and the staff accommodated a rather fussy 8 year old and were friendly and bubbly. We had a lovely afternoon. Thank you.

Went to a comedy night, a really great laugh

Had a few takeaway roasts during lockdown and they were amazing . Good portion size at a reasonable price and still warm when we got home ( 20 minute drive)

This is an excellent pub. We remembered visiting it 10 or 11 years ago and with very good memories of the place we went back for Sunday lunch as we were in the area. Still as good and the staff are so friendly and helpful. Service was super quick, food and beer both excellent. Try the homemade Bakewell tart and custard. Lots of room out in the garden and there is also some covered outdoor seating.

Beautiful food served here. Lovely, friendly staff who are very helpful and place is dog and child friendly. I have been here a few times now and never had a bad experience. If you are on the broads you can Moor up at Loddon and it's a short walk to the pub.

Usually I cannot be bothered with reviews, but this place and staff calls for one, an amazing one. From start it was an excellent experience. Our waitress was so engaged in providing as much as help as possible. Food was served at the same time to everyone at our table, piping hot and delicious. Portions were generous, tasty, but still giving space for desert. It wasn't a busy night in the pub itself, but the car park was full due to a bowling session. Netherless it was easy to park in nearby Loddon's car park. We were treated with utmost care and I wish all dinning experiences would be as great as this one. Big thumbs up to our gorgeous waitress and a skilful chef. Thank you for making it such a beautiful evening out.

Phoned up and ordered two roasts to take away, lady was extremely helpful and accommodating, our issues seem to have been with who dished up the food, 1 slice of meat in mine and not much more in the 2nd, 1 had carrots and 1 did not and gravy tasted like water, for £14 per meal, we were pretty disappointed

A lovely local pub with fantastic staff who are always a delight and friendly. Having visited numerous times over the years we've always had a fantastic experience, during New Years Eve they have been exceptionally busy but continued to be on top of everything & handled it well. Their restaurant and food choices have been superb, even during events or busy nights they have been quick to get the food to the table. Highly recommended.

Orederd take away carvery today. Arranged to pick up at 4.30. Got asked to come back 15 mins later as busy. Returned after 15 mins to be stood in the rain for 15 mins waiting to collect food. Got ignored by staff as I waited. Gave up waiting and left. Wont be using them again. It's a shame as used them during lockdown to support local businesses.

Great friendly staff, covid compliant first time in pub for 6mnths and although it was in the garden it was a great experience. Sunny afternoon 130ish garden in sunny Spot and sheltered. Good choice of mains light meals etc. I had the slow cooked lamb, delicious seasonal green beg cooked just like I enjoy them, crispy nice mash with gravy. Hubby had double burger with cheese and chips that too well cooked. Will definitely be back soon.

We visited post lockdown so outside table service only. The meet and greet as you arrive and the table waiting service for ordering drinks, food and more drinks was exceptional, certainly the best we have experienced post lockdown!

Great service from Simon and his team at the White Horse. Ordered their takeaway fish and chips which were ready for collection in less than 30 minutes. Food was piping hot and delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed and felt very covid safe collecting it.
