it was a very good night out and had great customer service and also had great service behind the bar, i had a few guiness’ and they were very nice

Burnt food and rude staff. Mixed grill food was cremated and my wife had fish and chips, the batter was dark brown. I would not recommend.

Despite having booked a table, when we entered the empty bar we were ignored by the staff present and I had to go to the bar to ask for my table and was told I could sit anywhere. We sat down and perused the menu choosing Mac cheese and I ordered 2 M & C and bacon. I took our drinks and sat down Nearly 45 minutes later and with the bar slowly filling up I went back to the bar to enquire where our simple meal was and was told it would be with us in two minutes but they were 'busy'.When the M & C arrived it looked as though the cook had opened two tins and just put a piece of bacon over one and put it under the grill. Fortunately we both like tinned M & C. but when the young waiter asked if everything was ok we mentioned that it could have been a lot warmer. Perhaos another 2 minutes in the microwave ? We then ordered 2 Salted Caramel ices which arrived within 5 minutes. Unfortunately we had to eat them with our fingers as they had obviously just been taken out of the freezer and nothing short of a pneumatic drill would have cut through it.

Great atmosphere, took advantage of the happy hour 5pm til 8pm. Served by a very pleasant young man. Will definitely return.

We wanted somewhere to watch the football, and saw some great reviews on this place to watch, loads of big screens and great booths, fantastic atmosphere, we had some cocktails and food the sausage and mash, quickly served to our table by a lovely polite lady called Lisa, if you like sports, go here! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

I attended the White Horse, Beckenham for my dad’s 60th Birthday on Saturday. Staff are superb and nothing was too much trouble for them, Lisa even helped me decorate the table. Food is amazing, and a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend this venue. Thank you to the White Horse team Lisa, Andy, Barb, James and Colette for making my dad’s birthday so special. We had the best time and can’t wait to return, 10/10 all round.

Headed here with my elderly mum for some lunch we both opted for the ale and steak pie, never had this before, akd was quite pleasantly surprised with it, was served by the friendly bar lady Lisa, she asked if I had dierty needs, and was very helpful towards my elderly mum when I asked if she could use the disabled toilet, all in all it was a very pleasant visit 5 stars from us 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Ordered 4 shots and the measures were pathetic and a rip off. I asked if he would fill the miniature glass up, but he said that I would have to pay double! Won't be going there again. Better food and pubs in Beckenham

Decided on eating out with my partner, and was looking for something good on the menu to eat, we decided on the fish and chips, was extremely good, and was served by Lisa, who greeted us very welcoming, asked if we had any dietary needs and what table we were located at, we didn't have to wait long for our food and came out hot and fresh, we will definitely be coming back! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

what a wonderful afternoon we have had, just popped in for a quick drink to escape the heat and made very welcome by Lisa a fun barperson with a great personality and an understanding of the needs of people with a disabilityshe made us feel so welcome we stayed for a snack and another Drink. On the of chance popped in here with the family, very accommodating, service was good too, served at the bar by the manager, who I asked his name, he replied his name was Andy, we ordered pizza, which was presented looking and tasted very appetising, brought to our table by Lisa, very helpful young lady ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was responsible for organising the first ever Cafe Bridge event in Beckenham yesterday. An attempt to do so five years ago failed because the concept was too new. South West London is the hotbed for this sort of event and so I thought I would try again with the help of my earlier site visits. A planned HQ elsewhere was not available for various reasons and so I was pleased that the White Horse via their manager Andy agreed to host the event.Andy was away on holiday yesterday and when the cat's away, the mice come out to play, so the saying goes. Well the mice player an absolute blinder! Lisa was magnificent ensuring our event went ahead on time, providing us a VIP service all round. Aided and abetted by Liz, James and Barbara with chefs Brian and Nathato aka "Potato" who accommodated unexpected extra covers in their stride.This was caused by a nearby cafe completely screwing up a booking, noting it as 11 people for 4 pm instead of 4 people for 11 am and the chef not arriving until 1 pm!Victor Lesk, the genius who wrote the scoring programme for Cafe Bridge events that are staged all over the UK was also suitably impressed with the White Horse. As a local I will definitely return for a drink or two and look forward to a second Cafe Bridge event next year.

Visited yesterday with family and Lisa and the rest of the bar staff were super friendly there customer service was amazing nothing was too much for them. Lovely pub and would recommend visiting.

The food was yummy & arrived quickly (it wasn't so busy but still), customer service was really warm & friendly, the environment very clean, including the loos! 5/5! Glad we ended up going there as we picked it randomly while looking for something to eat! Will definitely go back!

Came here with my daughter for something to eat the food was lovely and Lisa couldn't do enough for us making sure we had everything we needed will definitely come back here again for some fish and chips

Really enjoyed our time at the Whitehorse we had a lovely waitress named Lisa that cater to our needs food was to a high standard and satisfied us. The drinks are amazing and lucky for us we came on gym Thursdays overall great place we will be coming back again,Parking is close by too and affordable.

Very friendly pub. Went for a few drinks with one of my friends, was seen very quickly by a very friendly barlady and given menus.App was out of stock of a lot of items which were at the bar so i had to order there. Again very friendly service and reasonable priced.Toilets were clean. The only issue was walking into the hallway to the toilets is the attack of smoke from the garden.Would definitely come again just not on a football night we left before it got loud.

Walked out of two other High Street pubs where I visit regularly. Rude, unhelpful, nasty, refusing to serve full drinks menu, tried to sit us under a leaking guttering and drainpipe. So glad we did. Andy and his team couldn't have done more for us. They clearly hang their hat on great customer service. It will be my first choice every time now.The refurb is great. Everything was spotlessly clean.Can't wait to come back.

Honestly this review is mainly to say how fantastic Lisa was. She was attentive she was friendly and we felt as if she couldn't do more for us. The white horse has always been a lovely place to visit the referb is lovely. The food is normally yummy, today was just oily unfortunately. Will definitely be back though x

I came to white horse pub with my girlfriend, and the greeting at the door and safety measures due to Covid-19 is very organised, thanks to Angie the manager..She’s very polite and friendly.. The food was quality and good value for money!

Menu looks good on outset. I ordered the three entrees for £12 special. Chicken wings were fine and along the same lines as something you’d get in a American sports bar. The panko prawns were almost identical to something you’d get from the party food selection at Iceland - basically oil drenched mush in batter - not crispy. The crispy cauliflower was something I was looking forward to as is one of my favourite things but was horrendous. It was basically a bowl of nuclear temperature microwaved scramble of batter and possible cauliflower? These were certainly not deep fried individual florets of cauliflower so not sure if it’s just microwaved frozen stuff or what. Nice staff and decor though but would recommend just drinking there and not eating.

Me and my boyfriend have visited the white horse in Beckenham on a few occasions even though on one occasion we had not booked the staff of the white horse were helpful enough to give us a table. We ordered a few nibbles from the menu and they were amazing. The staff are always friendly and amazing.I’ve definitely been waiting ages to come back to this place since they have refurbed and will we definitely be returning back. The staff followed the COVID regulations very well. Steve and Kristal are an amazing asset to the white horse team!. See you soon guys

First night for long time I met up with four other friends . Pub was very aware of covid rules . We had great time with food and drinks being brought to the table . Staff very friendly and attentive all evening.

The best experience ever.The food was absolutely delicious and the waitress Lisa was so welcoming and always ensured our experience was running smoothly. She always checked in on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. She always ran the extra mile for us. We will definitely be returning very shortly. Also, Angie also ensured we had a good experience during this time. Very friendly staff!

I came in today for the first day opening since lockdown stopped and I thought the service was going to be different as it’s the first day back but I was wrong! The staff were amazing, they were on top of all the orders (food and drinks) so we didn’t have to wait long at all. The bar staff were brilliant, polite and very homely it was like the days before lockdown. All the staff were happy and cheerful and overall the whole pub looked clean and better than before

The staff were extremely friendly and I ordered the mac and cheese and it was the cheesiest I've ever had it! Definitely recommened this pub for its hospitality and food.

The White Horse was always a friendly, does what is says on the tin type of place. It has just reopened and looks great. Plenty of good quality products, craft beers and now pizza. They have upgraded the TV coverage and there are lots of tables to view the game from. A massive improvement on what was a good pub.

The food was amazing, excellent customer services from bar staff. They were very warm,friendly and welcoming... Will definitely back soon

Me and my family visited the white horse this weekend and was very happy with the service we were given food was excellent and our server crystal was so kind and welcoming such a nice lady we will most definitely be visiting again .

I have recently come to the pub and it’s been great. All bar staff friendly and super welcoming(especially krystal, I think that’s her name!!) I could not say a bad word about it. Definitely be back!

Came in to watch Liverpool game and have a few games of pool, didn’t get chance to play pool as it was busy but the atmosphere in the pub was incredible

Great pub, great atmosphere showing every football game outstanding staff kitchen and bar always welcoming nothing bad to say a must visit!!

Me & a few friends came in for some dinner and karaoke, just sitting and observing how had the lady in the red t-shirt and the gentleman was working (running around serving food and general tidy up of bar area) it’s a shame about the girl in the grey t-shirt doesn’t follow their lead!! The only time she left the bar was to go into the back room and check her phone and smelt of stale smoke!! Thumbs up to the staff that actually takes their role seriously! Well done guys.

Thursday nights karaoke was really good, drinks and food very reasonably priced will definitely be going again

Came to grab some food when I went to be served stood at the bar waiting for service, I noticed the “manager on duty” was actually sitting at a table talking and on her phone while no one else was serving, there was no other staff members around. I ended up getting my stuff and leaving, as I was leaving the manager then said “back to work” and got back up.

Went for a meal with family, had a great time. Food was amazing and wasn’t too expensive either. Great atmosphere.. Staff were great, polite, welcoming and helpful.. Will definitely be back again. Thank you ❤️

Lovely food, lovely staff, however the personal hygiene of some staff members could be dealt with. Smelling body odour with my wine isn't the experience I was expecting. Other than that everything else is fantastic!

Myself wife and daughter popped in last night before the cinema I honestly thought this pub was a witherspoons I found I was wrong and could not have been happier the food service and value for money was better than Witherspoon’s the lady behind the bar was very friendly the food was hot and extremely tasty and the service was second to none , we go to the cinema at least once a month and will eat here each time due to all the above , I recommend this place to any and everyone

Visited here the other day to watch the footie, they have two big screen tvs so was great to watch the liverpool game, food was really nice and the drinks so great for the price, cheapest in Beckenham. We love this pub

How embarrassing for my 31year old 6 foot 6inch tall son to be asked for ID - he didn't have any & was only allowed a Coke!! He won't be back!!

I have been here a fair bit to watch football with friends and at times have a late dinner. The food is quite good value and mostly acceptable but there is a complete dearth of real ale to the extent that I totally fail to understand how this place can merit a "Cask Marque" endorsement. When the pumps are on (and often they are not) then the only choice tends to be a rather old and dead tasting Doombar. It really would be nice to see it live up to the badge!

Best place for breakfast in the area period. Great place to meet new people especially on the weekends. If your into your sports you have no need to go anywhere else but here because this is the place were it all kicks off. 5 screens fit into a very spacious pub.

We came in yesterday to watch the Tennis and the cricket, really great atmosphere, the food was really nice and also cheap along with the drinks, nice that they have two pool tables also. A good day and worth a visit

The staff and management at The White Horse couldn’t be better. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The prices are very good too. I have been a regular for 11 years and keep coming back because I love it. Good on you Andy, Steveo and the whole team. Justin.

Friendly staff! Large selection of beer and spirits at a good price! Extensive menu, freshly cooked food, always piping hot!! Two pool tables so you can always chill out with a drink and a game!

This restaurent has a plesent bar attached but it’s true jewel is the restaurent with its very unique decor and welcoming settings all around the place lovely real fires both in the front and back of the restaurent.

Reasonably quick service and tasty food at a good price. On a par with their opposition of Wetherspoons, with a large choice from the menu although not quite such good value - especially with the 'special nights' of the latter.

I went there with my partner this weekend for a drink, the staff were unhelpful, atmosphere was flat.

I fail to understand how a pub which serves such terrible cask beer succeeded in getting a CASK MARQUE! It beggars belief really. Their sole offering (when available!) is a very stale, musty and unappetising variant of Doom Bar. This was again my experience when I went to watch the footy with friends last night. They can do all manner of (low maintenance) designer gin, or lager beer in a vase but no sign of decent real ale! If you want to know what it looks and tastes like then visit the excellent (for beer anyway) Moon & Starts in nearby Penge as the beer in the White Horse is simply carp!

Been in a few pubs today and I must say this is one tired looking pub but the atmosphere more than made up for it plus got to play some pool and have a laugh, Team were friendly and drinks tasted great!! Lick of paint and some new carpet and this place would be a Gem!!!

Staff seem annoyed and bemused that you may require service, place is grubby and in desperate need of a refurb. The food was disgusting (worst chips I have ever eaten), had to ask for gherkins even though the menu states that all burgers come with them (these were brought out to me which suggests they were just too lazy to add them to begin with).

The food was very nice and the staff very nice.

The young staff at the White Horse are kind, flexible, smiley, efficient, hard working, polite, lovely and fun. I think I was served by Andrew, adorable.

Empezaré esta reseña almuerzo en un pub por primera alabando las virtudes de esta agradable ciudad. Beckenham es un amputado de el distrito de Bromley, pero es, de lejos, un lugar más amenos y acogedores. Mientras que Bromley ha perdido su alma en los últimos años conserva un cierto encanto Beckenham y residentes son mucho más amable.

Entró a probar el nuevo menú en un sábado tarde. Gran variedad y ofertas de muy buena comida. El servicio en el bar cuando se pedía era buena, la señora amable que era nueva, pero no nervioso. La comida tardo un poco en salir. Tuvimos que pedir una de las salsas que no estaba destinado a ser con nuestra comida y extra que llegara cubiertos como les gustaría. Pero ambas cosas muy rápidamente. En general satisfactoria, especialmente por el precio.

Very well behaved dog at this pub, doesn't beg for food or anything, just likes a little head pat. Excellent roasts, good bar choices At night they have a DJ and it's open late. Family bar by day, party bar by night. Win win

The Beckenham pub of the Wetherspoon chain, having good food and ales etc. An attractive large pub with three pool tables at the back for quiet enthusiasts.

The food is usually very good and typical pub grub. The only thing is that on a few occasions there has been no beer - only lager and my husband is a bitter drinker!

Plenty of screens to watch the match, got a burger and a pint for 5.99 burger was delicious! Lots of new staff very friendly and gave great service

There was quite a wait between starters and mains. My peas were cold. Probably because they were served on an ice cold large lettuce leaf! The prawns were little tasteless shrimps. Scampi and cod better but nothing to rave about. Hubby said his burger was good but had better elsewhere.

I shall rate on the food - although the pub itself it a decent place enough place to drink....but be warned the younger legal drinkers amongst us descend on a non-school night....The food choice is along the lines of the standard Weatherspoons type menu - but quality wise is one step up.It's not fine dining - and doesn't pretend to be - but for the price it is definitely decent enough and good value

I have been to The White Horse on a few occasions now and have always been impressed by the service, the bar staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to help you however they can. The food and drink is cheap and cheerful and there are several screens to watch sports- what more do you want from a pub? However I am writing this review to due to some exceptional service I received from a member of staff yesterday called Alex. I had visited the pub with my mother for lunch and as we left she unfortunately fell ill. She has a neurological disorder that means she has random bouts of paralysis. As she was unable to move, Alex helped me get her back into the pub and sit her at a table and made her feel comfortable. He enquired several times as to weather we needed anything and provided us with free tea and some water- he did all of this with a smile and without complaint. Unfortunately after a few hours I was forced to call and ambulance and again he was helpful in making her feel comfortable and helped to avoid causing a scene by remaining calm. There was also a female member of staff who was very helpful and friendly but whose name I unfortunately do not know. The staff at this pub are worth their weight in gold, and Alex helped me to turn what could have been a very distressing situation into a manageable one. I cannot thank the staff enough and would recommend this pub to anyone who values exceptional customer service and value food and drink.

This pub has had good and bad times over the past few years... but it's finally on the up!! Staff are smiley And friendly, foods great.. if you've had a bad experience then I would take a revisit for sure...

We went as a large group to meet up during the school holidays. We went towards the back to stay out of the way, there is plenty of space. The kids monopolised one of the pool tables for the whole afternoon, while we stayed for food and drinks. We took advantage of the kids eat for £1 offer, which is brilliant. Everyone's food was delicious and great value for money. The staff were very welcoming, we had a great afternoon.

Went to order the food and was informed there would be a 45 minute wait,pub wasn't that busy and this was 12ish on a Friday afternoon,so we just had a drink. I feel blessed we didn't wait for food as while we sat there the chef made an appearance with other people's food , oh my gosh! His chefs clothes were disgusting and actually looked as if he had wore them a good few months , absolutely black especially around the pocket areas, looked as if he had been wiping his hands on them for ages. I've seen cleaner mechanics.Will avoid this place like the plague in future,ended up going to Wetherspoons for delicious fish and chips, well worth the wait. NB twice we've been to The White Horse and both times there has been a lack of toilet paper in the ladies.

Have twice visited The White Horse recently to be told that they had no draught beer. Was this a joke I asked? They could let us have bottled beer but that was all they said. Then on Tuesday November 10 arranged to meet some friends there only to find the doors locked, the lights were on and we could see the staff inside, but a notice on the door said that the pub was closed due to a power cut. There was no power cut. The fruit machines were flashing and the whole pub was lit up. What the hell is going on? I have to wonder if Michells & Butler is going out of business.

We'd been to the cinema over the road and only popped in for one to discuss the merits of the latest Bond film....A few things happened: the bar maid clearly did not want to be there for one. No smile, no chat, nothing...just an unhappy face. Never nice to be welcomed like that.We ordered a white wine and it got served in a plastic wine glass. My BF had a pint of larger and got a a glass. What's the deal here? Where do white wine drinkers have plastic glasses...(I know I am leaving myself open here to a range of suggestions so thank you in advance).And the third and final thing I headed upstairs to the ladies loo. 11 cubicles or there abouts. 10 with no toilet paper! Luckily there was toilet paper in cubicle 11 but then the lock was broken.Pleasant.Helpful Hint: don't go, there are plenty of nicer pubs and bars a short walk away.

I like this pub, it offers good value beer and food, with tv's for sport and friendly service.Admittedly there is not a lot of quality but it's very handy and does not pretend to be anything it's not. For a quick drink, simple bite to eat, watch the sport and use their WiFi,It's just what you want.

Popped in with the family to have lunch. Took 40 mins to serve up food which was tepid at best. Carrots were cold. Roast dinners had no yorkshires which eventually turned up 15 minutes after food was served. Kids were left starving. Wont be going there again.

Haven't been in this pub since it changed its name from the goat.the unique thing about this pub was when I was the only one waiting to be served I had to wait for the staff down the end of the bar to finish there conversation before being served.when I see the food come out I was glad I hadn't ordered any. The couple next to me said there burger was dry and there chips stone cold.wont be rushing back.

Went with My Elderly Parents and my two sons one of which is aged 13 at 6 45pm. My father is Blind and my mother has very limited mobility so it is a challenge negotiating restaurants. We found seats and my older son (19) went and bought some drinks at the bar. We then looked at the menu ,but needed a Kids menu. My son went back to the bar to ask for a children s menu to be told no under 18s were allowed in after 6pm. My Son told him we had just bough drink but was told to drink up and leave.I went to speak to the Bar Man explain that I have no problem that the pub do not allow under 18 after 6pm but I I had struggled with my eldely parent it would have been helpful I there was a sign on the Door or at he bar stating that. all he could do was tell me that that was the pubs rules. Totally missing my point .

Waited 45mins for our food and when it arrived the all american platter was not only missing the bbq glaze on the chicken wings but the ribs were so over cooked there was only bones left! The other dish we ordered was a steak with mac and cheese, the mac and cheese was actually ok but the steak was so dry it was inedible. The side dish of cracker jack prawns was again so overcooked you barely noticed the miniature prawns inside. We both Left very disapointed and hungry!
