Great food, had the seabass with Thai vegetables and it was beautiful. Service a little slow and restaurant a little small so rated lower for these reasons but would still recommend for smaller groups or a date night :-)

Visited for my first experience of Thai food. Blown away by the food, absolutely stunning. The venue also has a friendly relaxed atmosphere and great service. Well worth the trip from Nottingham, will definitely be back.

Nice mid week Thai meal, but green curry was may be not as authentic as we have had in other establishments. Even so it was tasty and served with a smile. The chicken toast was amazing. Place seemed popular for takeaway judging by the number of people coming in to collect.

We were heading back to London from the Cotswolds, and wanted to eat somewhere nourishing after a long day. Wow, are we sure glad we stopped at The White Horse. The curry flavours were well-balanced and delicious, generous portions, fresh ingredients, and cozy ambiance. The chef was also accommodating to a request from our table. Sadia served us and was wonderful. At the end of the meal, she took the time to chat with us which was very sincere and meaningful. We hope this restaurant experiences nothing but success because the food and people are really special.

Ein süßes kleines Restaurant welches mal ein Pub war, dementsprechend war die Atmosphäre ein wenig wie in einem Pub, was zumindest für mich gut ist :-) Das Essen kam schnell und war köstlich! Die Bedingungen waren sehr nett. Ich würde immer wiederkommen!

Great affordable lunch deal. Fast service and clean, friendly trad pub menu. We had the sweet and sour prawns and red beef curry - both very tastey.

Not normally a Thai food eater, but the food here is top shelf, by far the best I've eaten. We were there on a works do, so together we must have tried everything on the menu. Not a single complaint from any of the near 50 of us. However our only gripe would be the size of the meals. They could do with being bigger, but that's mainly because they were so nice.

Really excellent food (and I've tried lots of Thai restaurants). Also good value and fast. Tom La was strongly flavoured, sour and creamy. Sweet and sour had subtlety and was not cloying. Red curry spicy but but crazy. Plenty of galangal. Mains £10ish Rice £3ish Starters £6 Smashed it

Arrived late on a friday night as a group of 9 (including 5 kids). Staff were amazing, food was great, and would highly recommend!

The food was absolutely devine, it was fresh and cooked to perfection. I was told the pad Thai was bursting with flavour and this did not disappoint. The red Thai curry is a symphony of flavour and I would recommend it to everyone. The waitresses seem to effortlessly take order and bring us our food making the place feel incredibly relaxed. I will be back soon.

We stopped here on our way from London and I can confidently say this was the best meal I’ve ever had in a restaurant (not just a pub). The place has parking, it’s super cosy and the staff is lovely. I wish I lived close-by to visit every week. Well worth the drive in future. I would highly recommend the chef specials! I’ve been raving on since my visit and cannot wait to be back. Getting hungry while writing this review.

Great little village pub, with a great atmosphere, and amazing homemade food

The White Horse is a real hidden gem as far as we are concerned. The Thai menu is fresh, delicious and reasonably priced, there's a decent selection of draught ales and wines, and in winter there's usually an impressive fire burning in the stove. Equally important, the staff have consistently been helpful and friendly in a way that feels genuine, resulting in a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

The best food I have had out for ages, fed up of mediocre meals for a lot of money, here you get the complete opposite . Stunning food , tasty and fresh for a reasonable price especially like us you go at lunch time . . Under £14 for a two course meal or £35 for a feast for 2 . We nearly didn’t go in, as it looked abit shabby from the outside, thought it was closed down but saw a light on that led to a warm welcome , glowing real fire and excellent food and service .

We had a family meal here recently and have to say that it was fantastic. We are regular users of their take-away service but the quality of the food and all-round service was really good. This is a small pub so can get cramped if there are more than 40 people in the place but great for a smaller group. Thoroughly recommend the White Horse for anyone wanting Thai food of a lunchtime, evening to eat-in or take away.

We have been before so knew the food was good. Again we were blown away with the quality. We had the larger lunch meal deal. An amazing two courses plus coffee for just £35 for the pair of us. Wonderful food and fantastic value. Very much appreciated and we’ll be back :-)

When we turned up, the outside looked a bit shabby and I wondered if we should drive away. But, inside was clean and cosy, with a warm welcome. The food was REALLY good. There were 3 of us in the group and we had different meals - all were presented nicely, tasted amazing and were good sized portions. Even though a bit of a drive away, we will be back. I will take photos next time! Update: been back. Just as good. Photos of starters only. Thai fish cakes & Tempura prawns. Lovely.

This is a village pub and oriental food restaurant. I thought the quality of the meals were better than the average Chinese restaurant and the service was friendly and excellent.

Dropped in on a Saturday lunchtime just as we happened to be passing - delicious lunch (Red Thai Curry and Egg Fried Rice) - even my 9yo had to steal some! Good value and charming service. Definitely a hidden gem!

I've been going to Anwar's for more than a decade and he's hit the nail on the head: an unpretentious and welcoming atmosphere alongside flavoursome, affordable Thai food and good beer.

As ever a really warm & friendly atmosphere, and great food. Lots of choice on the menu, and the dishes came out very quickly. Chicken satay, squid and the veg. spring roll starters all great flavours, then had pad tail, padang beef and sizzling duck all delicious Great evening.

Food was great no complaints on that but the lady who served the table needs to be nicer she tutted alot lent over people dripped food and drink on me and didn't even apologise or get me a cloth at one point I nearly bit her arm as I was eating and she reached in front of me.

Last minute booking. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and welcoming. The prices are great but we found the food a little bland. I asked for a jungle curry as i like spice, when the waiter put it on the table he informed us it was mild which we queried as it was not requested and he told us it was still spicy. Didn't find it to have even a kick. Its a shame as i was expecting the food to be outstanding with all reviews. The owners and wait staff are so lovely though you feel bad if you moan

The best Thai food by far. I've tried many Thai restaurants in the past in London however, i was always left disappointed. White Horse on the other hand was just Majestic. The Starters, the mains and the dessert were pure heavenly. I even had to order and extra portion to take home as I just could not get enough. 10/10

Visited x3 times now and each time the staff are always friendly, the food comes out fairly quickly, it's hot and the flavours are absolutely fabulous. Such a lovely pub, with very lovely staff. We stayed for some vegetarian meal and a beer, both were very tasty and extra lovely made on the plate. Was delicious, we will definitely visit again. Weekend away in Oxford....Tier Two rules, can’t have a drink without a substantial meal...This pub had a really great menu...didn’t take the micky, very good choice of food, very reasonably priced. The landlady is lovely...very friendly and told us about the pubs famous visitors and history...could have stayed chatting to her all day...just couldn’t eat any more!

On Christmas Eve we had the pleasure of taking our family for dinner. There were Eleven of us and we had a table by the log fire.The food was superb and the staff friendly and attentive. First class recommendation to all.

Hidden Thai gem. Recommended and didn't disappoint. This small, unassuming pub serves sensational Thai food, and good local ales, all at very reasonable prices. It's small, so book in advance, or it offers take-away. Update from second visit - Thai cuisine is still delicious. To start we had duck and veg spring rolls, fried prawns, and chicken satay akewers. For mains we had the green and red curries, massaman curry, and panang curry. All were delicious. Doom bar and Atlantic pale ale on tap.

The menu and service were beyond our expectations. I absolutely liked the atmosphere of this restaurant. First-rate restaurant to take my family out for dinner.
