Came here today for a lovely birthday meal. All the food was wonderful, roasts were delightful and the prawn and chorizo flatbread was amazing. Atmosphere was very chilled, didn’t feel rushed. Thanks to Sam and Kate for serving us so well. Lovely afternoon.

My wife and I popped in for lunch on a Saturday whilst in the area looking at perspective houses. The service was too notch! The two young ladies working on the bar (Lunchtime Saturday 16th March) were attentive and friendly. After sitting down, they brought us a carafe of water, quickly followed by a bowl of water for our 10 month old Cocker Spaniel. I was incredibly impressed by the selection of dog treats on offer at the bar from “The Canine Menu”, Bowie loved the Boar chew stick, and very reasonably priced! We ordered lunch and were blown away by the portion sizes! It was incredible. And the food was spectacular. I truly hope that we move to the area as I couldn’t think of another pub that I’d be happier to call my local! Keep up the great work! 👍🏻

On arrival we got asked if we would sit at a high table of which we refused due to a back problem… I know it was Mother’s Day and very busy but I found the staff rude and very uninterested in what they were doing… the food was ok not to the point I would return but edible… we had to ask five times for more gravy and then got told they had ran out of gravy pots… we also had to ask for sauces twice. I’m not one to normally leave a bad review it’s just that I found this to be a very negative experience and certainly would not recommend

Loving the new menu, the old one was getting a little boring. There is now so much to choose from and I think we are going to try most of it over the next few months. The tapas and breakfast menus look exciting and can't wait to try. Tonight we went for the linguine with souvlaki chicken (Greek) and flat iron steak both were delicious 😋 Thank you to Ali and the staff for looking after us, as usual 👍

Been here a fair few times as it’s local, food it usually pretty good. Went there with my family today for lunch and everyone was disappointed with there meals, not much of it was eat. Left feeling like I had wasted £100

Really really good roast dinner. I had chicken and Gammon, both really tasty, not dry. Service was also really good will definitely be back.

Visited the Wheelwrights Arms with an ex work colleague of mine. Busy pub on Thursday night. Atmosphere was good and pub was very busy, in fact public bar was incredibly packed.! Very little room to get round. Had a fairly decent meal in a very crowded eating area, looked like a corridor to rear of pub? Had the ultimate burger which was nice. Could not finish it as it was a large meal. Decent evening out but make sure you have booked in advance and you should get a good table? I have not visited this pub since 1986! Yes a long time ago now, but its improved somewhat since then!!

Nice venue to meet friends for lunch

Hello we had a booking for 5 people but 3 could not make it with one in a wheelchair. thank goodness We are so glad they could not come as we went ourselves for a table for 2. Oh my the pub was heaving we changed seats twice because we could not hear ourselves speak. The staff where brilliant but we feel that we should have been advised about the wake. It was crammed full of very loud people. In my view the pub should have been closed for the amount of people catered for in the wake. It has certainly put us of going again. But I must reiterate the staff where brilliant. Lynda Porter Had a call from the owner. He not really interested in our complaint. Nothing offered to compensate the horrible lunch.

A really nice place for a decent Sunday roast. A great selection of meats and vegetables quality produce. Cooked well and nice on the eye. Portion are great. You will stuffed and satisfied. You can upgrade for some roast extras like pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese and extra roasts and gravy so it's worth it. You can have a trio of meats too if you like them all. We had chicken, beef and gammon and it was spot on. It was really busy but the staff were coping well. It's a big old pub lovely 🍻

We met 7 of our friends at the Wheelwright Arms for Sunday roast. The meals were well presented, large portions and great value for money. Service was quick and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We’ll definitely return

Today we visited the pub with friends for an afternoon roast.The pub and staff were warm and friendly. I lovely atmosphere with a roaring fireplace. We all had a roast dinner. Its was yummy! I had chicken and beef. The beef was perfectly cooked. My favourite was the massive Yorkshire puddings. Delicious. Well done chef! I would highly recommend

Met with two school friends (we are now all 60 years young). Great atmosphere and plenty of people in the pub despite it being a Thursday. The waitress was very patient with our orders as we were too busy chatting! Lovely food, starters and mains. Plenty of choices. The staff were attentive and very friendly. I had an issue getting an Uber (being rather older). The barman spent quite some time sorting the problem on my phone and arranging a lift for me. I would definitely recommend an evening at the Wheelies. Thank you to all the staff.

Went for a Sunday Roast today and although they were very short staffed they still did a fantastic job with looking after us. Massive compliment to the chef, with all the orders coming through still made every dish fantastic. Great portions and cooked to perfection.

Christmas party here, mixed reviews on the food, my salmon and the xmas dinner were lovely, the steak however was confusing as to how it had been cooked. We had to chase 3 times for our puddings. However, we were not rushed and could spend as long as we wanted at the table, which was nice.

Always a great atmosphere here, local dog friendly pub! Excellent range of drinks and beers! Always enjoy coming here.

Went for a Saturday afternoon meal at the Wheelies for the first time in ages and had forgotten how much I like this place. The pub was full without being rammed, the staff were busy but still friendly and there was even a group of carol singers in who sang to us! Food was good and overall I’m really pleased we returned here - a proper boozer with a great atmosphere.

If you like a pub which allows dogs, has a roaring log fire, decent real ale on tap; and serves a decent Sunday roast - this is your place. In recent months have made this my local and I don’t know what took me so long. New manager (new since last time I came anyway) and team have really turned this round and I hope no one changes the formula - it just works. Thanks for a great experience.

Great food, good real ale (rare for Havant) and a secret sun trap beer garden in the summer. Staff are always friendly (Sam, Kate, Cerys and Alasdair always look after me well) and in the winter there’s always a real fire burning too. Really like it here and will be back.

What a total delight, I went here with my daughter after we had received some distressing news, and the staff were incredible. They must have sensed it, and were so attentive, the food was excellent, and what a great choice! The Wheelwrights had been recommended by a local building company who use it all the time for customers, and - they said - evenings out. But our visit was amazing, thank you especially to Alasdair, Kate and Sam. You made our day.

Love the feel of this place, great spot to come with the family. We got a spot by the fire. Staff were really accommodating despite it being busy and Ally who looked after us didn't make us feel rushed. The food was good too :)

We had our association Christmas lunch here and it was the first time visiting for many of us. From the initial booking to the quality of the food it was very pleasant and professional. The staff were nice, the place was decorated really well, and there was very happy atmosphere while we ate. Definitely one of the nicest gastropubs I’ve been to in the area and we all think we will return. Would recommend.

We often come here with our dogs for the pub quiz. Excellent place with such amazing staff, big shout out to Kate and Cerys for always welcoming us! Today they had a special event for dogs which our dogs loved and the extra special gift too!

First visit here. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We only had a drink £11 for 2 pints . Food coming out of kitchen looked good and so did Christmas menu , so will probably pop back to sample a meal.

Popped into the 'Wheelie's' last night for an impromptu supper with Mrs S.... We haven't been in here for ages.... Dinner was excellent - Particularly the full rack of ribs & chunky chips, and the Caesar Salad - both with a '30% off' deal on FB. Decent beers and wines, and the service from Kate & Bobbie was good and friendly too! Recommended!

This pub has a lovely friendly atmosphere and food is very reasonable I can't remember exact price per meal but there were 3 of us and our bill for drinks and our meal we had scampi and chips and it all come to just under £40 very good price I thought. I dined here a few times and all the meals were very good.

We were there as a group of nine on Friday 6th October. Overall we had a good meal and the service was very attentive. A couple of niggles - my husband ordered extra jalapenos on his pizza but ended up with none at all instead...

Staff were overwhelmed and did their best but the food was OK, not anything that would tempt me back again. The final nail in the coffin was the 15% service surcharge for parties over 6 People.

Only had a drink, have not been in this pub for nearly 50 years. Great change,. Exudes quality from staff, very dog friendly. Very impressed. Will return, excellent menu for dogs, and oh. Humans as well.

Came the other evening the food was great and the staff were friendly and accommodating will definitely return.

First of all our waitress was a little bit rude and uninterested. For a nearly £20 roast dinner the portion is tiny and the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were dry as a bone. We opted for the ‘unlimited’ option which means you get as many potatoes and gravy as you like. When we asked for more potatoes it took them ages to bring a small bowl out, by then we’d finished our dinner. Asked for apple sauce 3 times and it never came. Roast pork was so dry couldn’t even cut it. But overall not impressed at all.

Wasn't impressed , sticky chicken was way too salty , then the sausages were tough and over cooked, was told a veg was Swede and it was clearly something else 😕 Sorry !!

Had the £12.50 breakfast with a friend last week. While not a large as some I've had, the bonus was the quality - sausages, eggs and black pudding very nice in particular, also the vine tomatoes. Will do this again for sure. Staff very pleasant also... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Called in again yesterday to find that the 'all-day' breakfast finished at around 2pm - needs renaming! My friend and I both had the bacon chop with eggs and chips which made a good substitute...

Nice overall experience. We had breakfast, which our group of 6 enjoyed. 2 small issues... We had difficulty ordering eggs on toast! We did ask for eggs on toast, only one turned up in a small side plate type dish, which wasn't flat and made eating the said single egg on toast difficult. We eventually got the other egg on toast but had to go to the kitchen to get another plate. And the plates not being hot is a bug bear of mine - why cant places do this simple act? It makes for such a more pleasant eating experience. Sorry if this sounds petty - but if we didn't have these 2 issues I would have given it a 5 start all around. It's the little things that matter....

Lovely old pub,serving good food

This pub was incredibly amenable to putting on the Ashes cricket as its doors opened at 11am. What more can you ask. Green fish finger ciabatta with fancy fries and salad for just about a tenner. I’m heading back to Manchester a happy punter. Congratulations to has the server on her recent marriage this weekend.
