Lively pub on the outskirts of Walsall Town. Close enough to be walkable though. Spacious pub, good service and wide range of drinks. Live music to entertain and a lovely beer terrace out the back.

Only reason I've no starred the food is that I have yet to eat in there love this pub live music and great and cultivated to the type of customer staff are amazing and beer reasonably priced

I only go there for the live bands They have great bands on That brings some great customers in too

Cracking pub, great beer selection and pints. Friendly staff. Something going on most nights Live music weekends. Nice seating area in back garden. BBQs and roasts dinners on weekends also. Definitely recommend 👌

Still a great pub, great place to go. One of the few left near Walsall Town centre!

Staff brilliant. Food good but cant go back again in the summer as they don't have blinds. We sat with the bright sun in our eyes and was melting. We asked to move tables but it was pretty much the same all over the dining area. We will be back in Autumn as it's too much without blinds and windows that won't open.

Very friendly local pub. I went on a quiet Sunday and the atmosphere is really chill. Live music as well which you won't find anywhere else.

An excellent, traditional community pub during the day time that transforms into a vibrant music venue in the evening.

Stayed here working away for work. Cheap drinks. High quality top food and cheap. No microwave grub, pool table 50p.. old fashioned home feel to it. If it was closer to home I’d stay here everytime! Would 100% recommend. Parking is brilliant. Staff are very polite. Couldn’t say a bad word about the place!

Great music venue and well kept real ale. The gaffa is a friendly bloke and its a very friendly crowd. I would highly recommend this venue for a great night out

Good range of drinks, live music, nice decor, friendly atmosphere but best of all friendly staff and owners.

Now open and hurrah fot that. Now run by Steve and his lovely wife. Butty Bach, Enville Bitter, local ales from AJs of Walsall, HPA are usual. All are kept extremely well. Keg Wainwright plus others, San Miguel and Guinness. Wines aren't very varied but are drinkable. Undergone a makeover without losing its character. A traditional pub with wooden floors. Improved facilities, comfortable seating. Lovely outside terraced area with unusual planters. A pity more people don't use it. Weekly live music is still a feature as are themed evenings. Acoustic guitar night (Wed), Open Mike, Vinyl nights. Comfort is still improving. Please keep this classic pub open by a visiting it as often as you can, although Steve would say it's more a venue than a pub. Comfy sofas or tables and chairs are in two areas.

Lovely meal, but didn't have 2 of my 3 choices due to delivery problems. Bit of a wait this time, but service is usually quicker. Tasty, hot food. Great for kids too. Outdoor seating at nice benches.

Very disappointing. Had to wait 30 minutes for cheese and onion cobs which were stale when they arrived. My husband and his mate did not enjoy the Butty at all.

Great place for food, watching sports, meeting friends and just chilling out

Service was really good and friendly.but we felt a little awkward, as everyone in there seemed to know each other, went to sit on one of the sofas and nearly had our heads bitten off by the couple on the chairs opposite, saying the sofa was taken though the whole time we stood there noone came to sit down! Made us feel very uncomfortable. Maybe it was an off night, will try pop in again as the staff were lovely.

Great pub, with good live music weekly

Staff shouting at each other while your trying to talk. A sweaty chef fully sitting on a table which wasn’t even cleaned after. The food was ok ish. I wouldn’t recommend this place for a dog to dine in. Below is a photo of the chef, minus his head so no one knows who he is.

This is a great pub with a brilliant landlord that is leaving.i have lost count of the number of landlords the wheatsheaf has had and left???

The Wheatsheaf used to be a great pub with excellent live rock music every weekend. Sadly, new management have taken over and now the place is completely derivative. The real ale used to be kept excellently. Now though, the cellar is being abused and the ale isn't good at all. If I were you folks, I'd give The Wheatsheaf a pass.

Bar manager or pub manager squared up to one of my friends for saying the fruit cider was flat, not a pleasant person.

Dog friendly public house. Wide choice of beer at least six choices plus cider larger and Guiness.

We were left here by the RAC whilst waiting for a flat bed truck to take my car and passengers home after the car died on the M6 Toll. Not knowing how long we'd have to wait we ordered a round of drinks- then another, then some delicious food and then, very kindly the excellent staff provided 4 glasses of tap water and said we could stay at our table until the truck finally arrived- some 3hr 40mins after we'd arrived! Thanks to all the staff for being so helpful- the food and drinks were excellent to.

Usually love this place but at 9.30pm having children running around totally unsupervised by their parents has been a nightmare!!! Even young lads running in and out of the ladies toilets!!! Awful night......management should have spoken to the parents!!!!

A little gem, landlord keeps a great pint of real ale. Not a food pub but did some sandwiches which where enough to keep us for the duration of our visit.
