Could just do with a tidy up of the beer garden / back entrance area - broken window and cigarette butts on outdoor tables

Second visit here and I am pleased that we have this place locally. Amazing food selection, including a decent separate vegetarian/vegan menu. Service was spot on both times, once being a busy Christmas service. Could really do with a milk alternative for coffees would be my suggestion for improvement.

This is the first time I have visited this pub for my mums birthday, yet I was rather disappointed. The staff are friendly and quick, but the food I felt was not great at all. We had to send back three camembert to the kitchen because they were still hard and not melted enough.

We as a group of 5 people decided to pop in for a bite to eat on the way back from gates garden centre as they was too busy. The food was delicious. I had the Chicken breast burger with the onion rings and chips and it was so nice. My friends had the lamb shank, the vegetarian lasagna, the fish and chips etc, the food we all agreed was brilliant they had the puddings but mine was enough so didnt bother but all portion sizing was brilliant. The staff who served us from the second we walked in was kind thoughtfull and went above and beyond for all 5 of us. She was a true asset to the wheatsheaf pub. I will be visiting again and would highly recommend this establishment in it entirerty.

Superb - Service. Food. Ambience. In all a delightful experience was enjoyed by all. Update - Even better than previously.

Couldn't believe how quiet it was on a Saturday night given the excellent quality of the food. The veggies in the group were pleased to have a real variety of dishes to choose from and the venison pie and beef dishes were also superb. Excellent service too.

We called in to the Wheatsheaf for lunch and were not disappointed. We thought the menu was excellent with numerous different dishes that we liked the sound of. For our mains we chose the pork Stincanto and slow braised fillet of beef. Both dishes arrived piping hot and were very tasty with very generous portions. For desserts we both chose the homemade apple and cinnamon crumble. Once again these were served piping hot and unusually for a crumble were deliciously light. We really appreciated the time that the owner and chef Mike spent talking to us and explaining the history of the Wheatsheaf since he took ownership. The service from every member of staff was friendly and efficient. Along with 2 pints of tasty Brixton ale and a soft drink the bill came to £60.00. Thanks to the whole team for making our final holiday lunch so enjoyable.

It's no suprise the chef has won awards for his pies, they are amazing! There are many other tempting dishes on the menu, we'll definitely be coming back to work our way through the menu! Incredibly friendly staff too, nothing was too much trouble.

I would just like to say a huge thank you for making my 60th birthday special on Sunday, the food was amazing, the roast beef was so tender and melted in your mouth. The staff where amazing nothing to much trouble. I will definitely be returning very soon

Love coming to Wheatsheaf Langham, been coming for a few years snd always enjoy the food, Service and amazing feel of the place. Can easily say its my favourite pub restaurant in the area.

Staff were really friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and we felt it was reasonable value. Children’s meals seemed good quality and decent size too.

Had a busy day so decided to have a take away. Very accommodating gentleman took the order and hubby collected at the given time. The food was really delicious. Braised fillet of beef is superb. Lovely fresh veg to accompany it and apple crumble to finish. Food was hot and very well packed to safely transport home. Recommend and will certainly be using regularly ourselves.

Couldn't fault anything. Friendliness of the staff, large menu choice including vegetarian and vegan options and the food was amazing. We'll definitely be back, especially on Thursday pie night!

Great pub food, seems to be made from scratch and have great gluten free/vegetarian/vegan options! We were a big group but service was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble from the lovely staff! Would definitely visit again when visiting Rutland Showground, good parking too.

Another gorgeous meal at the Wheatsheaf this is our favourite place to eat with our 2 small boys. All the staff are very accommodating and so lovely with our boys. We drive 50 mins to get there but it’s so worth it. Food is always piping hot, fresh and delicious! Thank you again for a very delicious lunch.

Visited for a birthday lunch . Really good . This is a proper pub doing excellent food , not trying to be a pretentious gastro pub. Great friendly service with a smile. We had calamari and squid for starters (different starters ) both hot crunchy and presented very well. We both followed with the world renowned pies . Mine a chicken and stuffing pie , other a lamb pie. Both delicious ,mine served with mashed spud and veg and with a jug of gravy . Other served with chunky chips , pot of gravy and veg. Both meals served lovely and hot , great presentation and very filling. No room for pud . Thanks for a lovely meal and will definately be back.

Having been refused food at 9.05 pm by another local pub, the landlord of the wheatsheaf took pity on 2 very weary travellers and arranged for food after 9.30 pm by the time we actually got there. Service was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed a lovely late evening meal in pleasant surroundings. Would highly recommend.

Being honest. Just tried to call in to get some food. No food served on Wednesday, apparently not open on Monday or Tuesday either... So alas, not really a chance to see what it has to offer...

Drinks were flowing with extremely friendly people and the food on offer was brilliant and accomodated perfectly for my partners egg allergy, would highly recommend a visit and will be back again at some point.

After an eventful day of a car breakdown and being left stranded in a small village we didn’t know, we ended up having the most amazing experience at The Wheatsheaf! Mike, Mason and all of the team there went above and beyond to provide the most attentive, personable service I’ve ever had. They greeted us with warmth and made us a beautiful, fresh meal that was perfectly accommodated to my egg allergy, lovely with drinks flowing all night! This pub has a lovely warm, community feel that is formed through the dedication of all the staff there! Thank you to everyone at the Wheatsheaf, and we recommend anyone to make your way down there for a lovely night in a gorgeous, country pub!

We went to The Wheatsheaf for my husband's special birthday with our family. Couldn't fault it, we had fabulous food and excellent service. We were too full for pudding but (Marva?) very kindly brought him an ice cream with cream and sprinkles, sparkler and candles...

I cannot rate this establishment any higher! Every member of staff was great, went above and beyond and all had a smile whilst doing their part to make service flow! Food was unreal!! Went away for the weekend with my now Fiancée and went here two days in a row and actually spend most of the second day wishing for dinner time to hurry up! Unfortunately a bit of a trek to come up from Southampton for a lunch but will definitely return if I'm ever in the area! Thank you so much guys, keep up the great work 👌

The best paid for meal I've had in many years. The sticky BBQ pork stincanto was delicious 😋. The BBQ sauce wasn't the usual overbearing kind, this was sweet tasting, yet had all the BBQ flavour you could want to complement the tender pork meat it was dripped over, without losing the taste of the meat. My fathers 81st the day before so his birthday party. The staff entertained him, thankyou for that. All in all a great meal with family in a lovely establishment, with great food. 10 out of 10.

A must visit to anyone in the area. Lovely warm welcome from setting foot in the door, and the most amazing food. This place has won awards for its pies, and justifiably so, tried the steak and stilton...just wow!! I had a pie in a another pub close by, there's was League One compared to this Premiership pie.
