My wife and I took her mum here for Mother's Day afternoon tea with a singer doing a tribute to rat pack music. We had a great time with everyone one joining in . Service was fantastic with friendly, helpful staff and the food was excellent

Have visited the restaurant twice now within the last 2 weeks, absolutely love the food. You definitely get your monies worth. Staff are great, friendly, and happy to help.

*Updated* went back for a lovely birthday lunch. Decor and atmosphere inside is beautiful. Had a bottle of Chardonnay, Halloumi for starter, followed by mussels and an Irish Coffee. Partner had same starter, cod and chips and Italian coffee. Food was delicious. Staff were friendly and professional. Nice and clean. Lovely ____________________ Nice Christmas lunch. Food delicious 😋.

We have just had our baby shower at the Watersedge today. Fab service and lovely venue by the canal. Service was not rushed and staff were on hand if needed. Food was delish , we had the afternoon tea. Really happy with the venue and service . Thank you

The watersedge was the ideal location for arranging our Christmas dinner with over 70 people. We were seated upstairs which had a bar and made it easy to get drinks especially forvery thirsty rugby players. The staff were very welcoming and food was served efficiently and the quality of food was a high standard. The group thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the inclusion of a DJ made it extra enjoyable with everyone dancing and singing along to Christmas classics. Thank you for having us and I am sure we will be back soon for our end of season dinner!

I must congratulate the staff at this establishment for looking after us last night and for being able to carry on smiling and been attentive to everyone's needs at your establishment it was wonderful and my compliments to the chefs aswell the food was magnificent and the singers where amazing we couldn't have asked for a better evening and we cannot wait to return keep smiling and doing what your doing it works.

We had our daughter’s 21st birthday/family reunion party here on 28th October. We spoke to most of our guests and everyone had such a great time! Christine and Natalie were super helpful in the lead up to it and the staff on the night were amazing! They really created a fun atmosphere and sometimes joined in with the party (which we loved!) The finger buffet was chose was amazing and lots of it, we didn’t run out of anything! We will definitely recommend to others and will continue to come down for our Sunday roasts!! Would highly recommend to anyone. I was a solo female and found EVERYONE to be friendly and very professional. All in all, a great experience.

Came here for a quick drink and snack. It was a Sunday so they only had their Sunday menu of courses . I only wanted a light bite to eat. But that was the only menu so I just asked if I could have the Hunters Chicken from the menu I had a lemonade £16 roughly a bit steep . The girl took my order we didn’t have a table number at the time of order. So that meant my food took a while to come out . Until a waitress came to ask me what I’d ordered . Eventually, my food came. It was nice the chips were ok and the chicken was tasty . I have been before on a Saturday and they’ve accommodated my lunch order of a baguette .

Lovely clean room, staff really friendly. Food in the restaurant really nice. Would definitely recommend. Only here for one night before flying out from Heathrow but would definitely stay again. Lovely outside space.

A fantastic setting and immaculate accommodation. The whole experience was first class including the friendly and helpful staff.

Stayed 3 nights at Canal Cottages. Could not recommend this place more. Lovely family run business. Right on the canal. Individual cottage was new and spotless. A short walk out to an authentic old pub and restaurant with awesome vibes. Had everyone back after our daughter's graduation for lunch. We had so much fun most of the people stayed the whole afternoon and had dinner there as well. The food was that good. Great find for a place to stay, a pint after a walk on the canal, brunch, lunch or dinner.

We went yesterday (21st July). We had afternoon tea for 13 of us. It was absolutely delicious, lots of variety, the vegetarian option for cakes was also great. The staff were very attentive. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely go back. Thank you

My husband and I wanted to use the hotel for 4 nights to start our London trips from here. We booked an 18m² room, according to the internet modern and elegant with a window in the bathroom and a view of the garden. The room had a maximum of 10m², in the bathroom there were holes in the walls and no window, but mold and the shower door didn't close. There was a window in the room with a view of the bushes and the smokers in front of the house. We paid for breakfast but didn't get any. After one night we fled and had to be asked at reception that we should have informed ourselves better. The lady at the reception wanted to show us the pictures of the room on the internet, which she was not able to do. I'm going to put some here now, so you really know in advance.

We had a fantastic day on Sat 15th July 2023 for the Rat Pack Lunch. We went as a family who were visiting us from Dorset. The staff were so attentive and friendly.
