The Vine in Bradford

We booked a table for four this Thursday lunchtime & we were pleasantly surprised to find that there was a fantastic 3 course lunch on offer including a glass of house wine or beer. We ordered 2 chicken liver patés, calamari,& bruschetta, followed by linguine, seabass, lasagne & sautéed liver. Everything was delicious & freshly cooked, service from Francesca was outstanding. Only two of us could manage a dessert & we chose affogato with a generous shot of Amaretto - delicioso! We can't wait to return in December for the Christmas menu.

Maybe we just got the restaurant on a bad night, but we arrived for a table at 8 pm and sat down at 8.25. Apologies from the owner with the offer of a drink while we waited, which never arrived. Embarrassing as we were entertaining business clients. Please don’t promise things which you are not going to deliver. A very busy restaurant we understand but take control of your tables. It’s all about positioning, you can have a table, but we need the table back by xxx pm simple. Main course arrived eventually at 9.30. Food as ever was excellent, service, very very functional, zero staff personality, wine very good. The question how is everything was never asked? Then the debate about the bill, no offer of compensation for what has been a below average experience. Good service costs nothing but sadly it was very lacking tonight. Places like this rely on repeat customers, and can’t risk getting the basics wrong. The price you potentially pay is not being in business in 12 months time. Enjoyable afternoon for our group of friends to celebrate a birthday. Most delicious food and not overpriced. No frills restaurant but warm welcoming atmosphere. Thank you to chef and Francisca for being so hospitable to us all. We can't wait to be back.

Came in without a booking on a Wednesday evening. Very nice welcome and attentive service throughout the meal. The meal was fantastic, fresh, great flavours, very good value and quality. Highly recommended. We will visit again when we holiday in Yorkshire next

Visited the Vine today second visit in a week. On both occasions we had a lovely time, food fab with a good variety on the menu. Service friendly and accommodating. Value for money. It’s a must if you are visiting Ilkley, I think this restaurant often goes under the radar but it’s a little gem great food that’s priced just right.

Great food and service was sound if not aGrear bit frenetic. Atmosphere was spoilt by some (many) customers on mobile phones. These should be banned as they are really anti social. Vine has great potential but less rushing and over booking would augment the excellent food.

My family & I dined here whilst on holiday in that part of Yorkshire recently. When we first arrived that evening (early) we saw that there were 2 parties of people & thought we may be in for a long wait for service. But no it all turned out perfect, great service & efficency, my Calzone pizza was definitely one of the best I had ever had. All in all, an excellent Sunday night meal out.

Good solid home cooked Italian food. Been here many, many times and the food it always excellent no matter what i have, but I do recommend the seafood risotto. These guys are friendly, accommodating and excellent value for money, far cheaper and better quality than other local overpriced competitors.

We had a table for four booked for lunch and we were shown to our table promptly. Very friendly staff. For starters we had the deep fried breaded camembert and mains were the pan fried chicken with mozzarella ham and tomato sauce. It was all OK. At £95.25 for four of us including wine and coffee it was good value. Plenty of parking around the place, chargeable but at least available.

We quite simply picked this place at random. It is delightful in every way.......menu, choice, service, price. Highly recommended.

We had a special family meal here to celebrate a birthday. The food was delicious, good value and the service was great. Wow! A takeaway under the current circumstances, from an independent, well-reviewed restaurant; a little FISHY?! Boy, were we wrong...We like to think we don't oLIVE by the rules, so we went for an antipasto to share. Generous, delicious and fresh. We are not artiJOKING. It arrived like a ROCKET. Our main course was seafood linguine. We barely moved a MUSSEL before this came quickly, still piping hot to our door. Amazing, mamma mia! Call it Ilkl-ITALY.

Oh my goodness! What a lockdown treat- 4 beautifully prepared meals, huge portion sizes and easy ordering. I can honestly say we all enjoyed our meals better than anything we’ve had in a very long time (even before lockdown). We have ordered twice from The Vine during lock-down through the Pronto App. The food has come bang on time, piping hot, large portion sizes and has been absolutely delicious. If you can’t go to the restaurant let the restaurant come to you!

Ilkley’s friendliest restaurant is now doing takeaway. We have eaten from the new menu for the last three weeks for a Friday treat and it is bang on. The portion size is large, the flavours top notch and the service is still as friendly as ever. I highly recommend it, good value for money considering the quality of the food.

Just had a takeaway from The Vine. Ordered it via Pronto Ilkley. The food came on time and piping hot. We ordered a Calzone, Prawn Linguine and Chicken Milanese. Honestly the quality was like being served in the restaurant itself. Awesome job in these difficult times. Will definitely be ordering again and would thoroughly recommend their service.

It is unusual to find steak on a set menu without a surcharge as is the case at The Vine. Several of us ordered steak when on a night out together. They were all cooked to order.Mine was superb.Those who had pizza or pasta were equally satisfied.I would highly recommend this restaurant for those of you wanting a good value for money meal with friendly service.

From the minute you walk into The Vine you are welcomed into a bust thriving restaurant with a happy atmosphere from customers and staff alike. Nothing is to diificult (my wife was hnadeda choice of 5 pairs of glasses when she realised she had left hers back at The Bolt Hole (airB N B). The service was excellent and the food was very tasty especailly the Calves livers. Plent of choice on the menu and good value.

Looking for a relaxing long lunch and catch up with friends we did our research and found a restaurant in our home town that didn’t close after lunch service, my partner, instead of using the online booking ability even rang the restaurant to confirm that they were in-fact staying open throughout the afternoon and that we were welcome to enjoy a leisurely lunch.

We went back to the vine restaurant. Our expectations have been met fully. The food was great, the portions absolutely satisfactory and the price fantastic. The staff in the room is another highlight of the restaurant, kind and caring, friendly and welcoming. We booked a table based on other trip advisor reviews and weren’t disappointed. Lovely welcome, excellent food and great value for money. Location is good - central for the shops and close to the Kings Hall (our destination).

This restaurant has large public car park in front ( payable at a meter) entrance is via a flight of steps, the staff make you very welcome , we had a starter of smoked salmon and prawns, and deep fried mozzarella, followed by calfs liver and a dish of veal both dishes were excellent we finished with special coffees, through out our meal the staff were very attentive could not have been more helpful Thank you.

We visited today for a family celebration, in a group of 11. The staff were very accommodating and attentive. They were flexible with additional requests and we really felt welcome. We had bought our own birthday cake with us, the waitress lit the candles and brought it over with plates and a knife. The restaurant is clean and tidy with a lovely atmosphere. The food was all delicious. Will definitely visit again!

I booked this restaurant online a few days ago, at the end of the booking procedure it stated someone from the restaurant would contact me to confirm the booking. I hadn’t heard anything so I contacted the restaurant, only to be told they didn’t have my booking and they were full on the night of my booking. I explained that we had come to Ilkley for the weekend and would struggle getting a table anywhere else as there were 6 of us. The lady from the restaurant insisted there was nothing they could do. My impression was she wasn’t that bothered about my booking as they had a full restaurant, it simply wasn’t there problem!!

We go for the set lunch menu which has a good choice and is always delicious; freshly cooked by the chefs (you can see them cooking your food) and served by the very friendly staff. The restaurant is upstairs, so may be a problem if you have mobility issues. But once upstairs, there is a lovely view from the large window and the atmosphere is warm and friendly.

First visit and it won’t be the last

I have never left a review on trip advisor before but after visiting the vine I needed to say something. I’m quite a good cook myself and usually leave restaurants feeling like I could have done a better job myself. My partner and I just had a main course each as we were going for a few drinks after and as much as I would love to I honestly have no idea how I would ever recreate the food I have just eaten. Both of our dishes were absolutely delicious and piping hot to the last mouthful. The waiting staff were both professional and attentive. The chefs who were on show were amazing to watch and highly skilled! I have a new favourite restaurant thank you so much for a wonderful experience.

Came here for the first time as a group of 5, early evening, before going to a show at King's Hall and really pleased we did. Friendly, welcoming and speedy service, with all dishes cooked to individuals liking and preference. We also had someone who couldn't have dairy and this was no problem at all. The bread and oils at the start were a lovely touch and meals in general were very good all round.

Had the set lunch menu today. The food and service was excellent. The quality was outstanding given the price we paid. I have not enjoyed such a good lunch since Chez !a Vie closed down in Harrogate. A massive “well done !” To the owners.

Our favourite Italian restaurant in the area. We have dined here many times of the last year, initially on the recommendation of an Ilkley resident, and have recommended the Vine to anyone who appreciates authentic Italian cuisine. It's a small, intimate restaurant, expertly run by the owners, who pay great attention to service, quality of food, and presentation. Reasonably priced, they offer some attractive lunchtime offers if you'd like to try it. You won't be disappointed.

We came here for a double family celebration and had a fabulous time. The food as always was delicious and very good value and the service was excellent, making a special occasion even more special. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough.

We visited Ilkley for the weekend and while having a walk at the Cow & Calf on Ilkley Moor we met and chatted to a local couple who recommended The Vine restaurant as a great place for a meal. We were not disappointed, lovely friendly staff in a nice relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent and the dessert delicious.

This is a solid Italian restaurant where we have eaten several times. Portions are a good size and prices are reasonable. It is acoustically a little loud when busy but it is a fun atmosphere.

Not has a bad meal here in years and we gonquite regular. Staff always happy to help and if the menu needs explaining they do. Children and family friendly early doors, couples and groups well catered for Great place, great staff, great value

Went in to this fantastic family restaurant and the place was perfect in all the way!!

We could only get in for a 5:30 sitting but we're glad we did. Great service with a fantastic 3 course menu for under £18 before 6pm. Aubergine parmigiana, mozzarella and tomatoes, brusetta funghi for our starters. Steak, salmon fillet, penne gorgonzola and pollo rosso were all generous and delicious. We ended with tiramisu, creme brulee and a lemon tart. All classic Italian fodder and all v well made in house.

This Restaurant is the best ever starting from the fabulous welcoming .... The food is absolutely Divine and is freshly cooked... Everything is just perfectly theirs started are to die for, great main courses given plenty choices, plus specials from the boards.

Visited The Vine for a family celebration - excellent service, fab food - not sure why people are complaining on the evening we were there! Please ignore negative reviews and try this wonderful family owned restaurant - staff are fab (Jenny was great!) Lovely to have an individual restaurant - we will be back again
