So lucky to find such a great pub serving very good Sunday raasts, as well as light snacks friendly, and good walks close by.

Sunday lunch with the family. A real treat. Great atmosphere, food and service. A special mention to all the staff, well trained and motivated, a real pleasure to visit Deb and co.

Visited for lunch with my sister & our kids. From arrival staff were wonderful, extremely friendly & helpful. Great food menu & plenty of options for kids. Food arrived promptly & all meals were excellent. Best chunky chips I’ve ever had! Food prices extremely cheap, particularly kids menu, amazing value. We really enjoyed our visit & will return when back in the area. Thank you

Popped in for the first time. Mum had a glass of wine but when she tried it it was undrinkable. It actually made her feel sick when sipping it. I appreciate it wasn’t an expensive wine by any means, but even at that level, she has never been known to leave virtually the whole glass untouched until now. When informing the lady behind the bar who served her, her response was you can pay for another option. Also told no other wine was available, after offering to pay more for it. Really let down with the service and wine option/quality. It’s a shame as we wanted to give this pub a positive chance given the good review record and it being a local of ours. No reason to return. Not sure at all why it’s ranked so highly, unless it’s the food (which we didn’t try).

Lovely local pub which always offers a warm welcome. We were a large family group but it was no problem getting all the meals out at the same time. Food good and plentiful

I would Just like to say a special mention to Debbie and her wonderful staff. The food and Service was Excellent and Debbie’s home made Chunky chips were fantastic. I had not been in this pub for over 25 years and it was still as I remember all those years ago plus it has a great history to mention.But most of all a lovely Atmosphere.

Wasn’t sure what to expect when we arrived because on a Monday lunchtime it wasn’t very full and it all looked rather basic. There was a nice fireplace and chopped wood at one end of the bar and we were at the other end in a dining area that was a bit like a café. However, the staff were very nice and welcoming. The food was traditional pub food, but the scampi and chips were excellent and the steak and ale pie had plenty of good quality steak and a rich brown gravy. The vegetables were good as well, especially the peas which were soft and very tasty. extremely good value and we enjoyed our meal

Myself and my partner visited as we were staying local for Harry Potter Studios. We called the previous day to ask if they would be showing a football game, the lady confirmed but we didn't book a table. When we arrived the following day, there was a table reserved with perfect viewing of the tv that she had saved for us. We had a Sunday lunch which was delicious and desserts were lovely too. Got chatting to a few locals and made us feel really welcome, would definitely recommend to all visitors. Thank you for having us.

Great service and friendly staff. We booked a lunch before going to Harry Potter world and it was an excellent choice. Decent pub grub with efficient and friendly service. We only had a main course as we were time constrained but pudding looked really good too.

We stumbled across this lovely pub whilst looking for somewhere for lunch after visiting family. We were so impressed by the wonderful and welcoming service and delightful atmosphere. My parents and I really enjoyed a delicious roast dinner which was such high quality and really generous portions. We are so happy to have found The Unicorn and will definitely be back.

Having read reviews in this establishment we popped in for lunch on the way to harry potter experience. All lived up to expectations, friendly staff and good food. I would recommend the fish finger sandwiche and chunky chips, one of the children also wanted the kids fish finger meal as a sandwiche and as if by magic bread and butter appeared on the side! This place is a must if you are ever in the area.

Me and the wife visited this afternoon as we were looking to kill time before out trip to Harry Potter World around the corner. We chose this pub by random and we were very happy with the choice. Staff very friendly and warm when we entered and immediately served us and gave us menus as well as showing us to our seat. Drinks were lovely, food even better and a service with a smile goes a long way to make you feel welcome. Quality of food was really good, we had a beef 1/4 pounder with cheese and an American chicken burger meal. Also a side of onion rings with a dessert and a couple of drinks each and was under £40, very impressed! I would and will return to this pub, mostly because of how welcome we felt but all of the above I mentioned. Thanks for having us 🙏

Without doubt the best pub family meal in memory - impeccable service, top quality and very tasty food, wonderfully friendly staff and a very happy gluten free child who was catered for amazingly and had full roast with g/f gravy and Yorkshire puddings - this place goes the extra mile and is a fantastic location for pre or post visit to Warner Bros for the Harry Potter experience!

Popped in here for a drink last night and after having to download the track app we were able to buy some drinks, the servers were friendly and helpful and the the inside wasn't very busy at all.We decided to go to the beer garden as it was such a beautiful evening...we really wished we hadn't.It was quite busy out there and the amount of swearing was incredible, just as well there were no children around. I'm far from being a prude but really - swearing is not a form of verbal punctuation.No concept of social distancing from the 20 something year olds either.And avoid the white wine if you value your tastebuds LOL.This was the second time we'd been here, there won't be a third as I'm under orders to remind my girlfriend how awful it is.

The Roast Lunch at the Unicorn was amazing, meat was perfect, roast potatoes just like home made and brilliant Yorkshire puds! The landlady and the staff were very welcoming and it was a thriving village pub! Only thing it could do with a porch as we were sat by the door!

Had a great lunch here on our way to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour. It’s about 5 mins away by car to the studio. Really good pub menu of all the things you’d expect. We especially enjoyed the chilli, and had both the meat & vegan options and also a great pie special. Nice friendly staff and fab service too. Would eat here again. Recommended. My partner & I visited here before going to the Warner Bros studio which is a 10 minute drive away. Not a huge menu but everything is home cooked. The portion sizes are large & very reasonably priced. We had a main dish each, desserts, coffees & drinks & it cost £40. We came away feeling very full & satisfied. Service was excellent & very friendly. Would definitely recommended.

We had Sunday lunch here today before visiting the Harry Potter Studio Tour, which is less than 10 minutes away. Such a lovely, warm and friendly welcome from the Scottish lady owner and her team. It was so busy but the service and the food was superb. Massive puddings too! I highly recommend a visit here. We’ll come again if we are ever in the area. We live in South Wales, otherwise we’d come more often. Keep up the good work guys. It really shows.

A very well run and clean establishment and very ideal for having good food and drink before visiting the Warner Bros studios. A good selection of food on the menu with a car park at the side makes it ideal. I would ring for a table if thinking of going over the xmas period, i think there going to be busy.

Have visited The Unicorn a few times now for lunch. The staff are always genuinely welcoming and friendly. The menu offers the usual pub lunch options but they are cooked and served consistently well. Good value meals that are raised to another level by the excellent service and care by the staff. The cask ales are also consistently well kept.

I've eaten lunch here with work a few times in recent months. As a group of about 10-15 we were asked to supply menu choices in advance but this seems to be pretty standard for larger groups at pub venues.

We didn't book, didn't think to so that is my first suggestion book if you can.

Easy parking. Good choice on menu. Staff very engaging and helpful. Food very good. Good value. Would go again for sure. Recommend.

This is the second time we have visited 'The Unicorn' the first time was in March when I treated my partner to a weekend away Harry Potter studios and then we found this gem of a pub on the Sunday for lunch and now we have just dropped our lad off at Heathrow so we decided to revisit The Unicorn and it hasn't disappointed! The staff are friendly and welcoming and the service is awesome.

I have just moved to Kings Langley and tried The Unicorn this week - absolutely fantastic pub - staff make you feel very welcome, beer is perfect and shows all the live football on excellent tv screens - the venue also has an amazing outside terrace which makes the venue and along with a great food menu, perfect for a day with the lads, the family etc... great work guys

Having tried other pubs in the area we are now regulars at the Unicorn. You can get a drink anywhere but good service is not so easy to find, the team at the Unicorn always go that bit further. The atmosphere is always spot on due to management skills and attention to detail. Although the Unicorn is most defiantly first and foremost a pub, the food is also of a very high standard. This along with the new garden area, all the sports events screened and live music, makes it a venue for everyone’s tastes.

Lovely old pub, but rather awkward parking. Booked here after reading great reviews. Meals were ok. As last orders for food is 5pm and we didn’t get there till 4.15, the food was home made but the lasagne two of us had we could tell had been kept warm so a little bit over cooked and dry.The chicken curry was ok and the ale pie was very nice. discusted .my wife and my 22 year old daughter and i phoned in advance to book a table .on arrival at 18.00 sat evening we were greated with a female staff who requested we look after our young kids as they were running around .we do not have young kids .we picked up a menu and then another female staff went past and said ...we stop serving food at five then carried on her way not even stopping to explain .....so on leaving we were approached by the ....landlady? ...who also said yes they dont serve food after five ......and told us to check the web site next time .......there will never be a next time ..........very rude un helpfull total disgrace

The four of us nipped in late on a Sunday, and according to the very friendly, possibly the land lady, told us that all the Sunday dinners had been scoffed, but there was a normal menu which served us well.

We were so impressed with the Unicorn, just a stone's throw from Warner Bros studios, perfect for families, excellent food and at a very reasonable price. The steak and ale pie was superb! Rach was our waitress and couldn't do enough to make our meal enjoyable. Thank you so much.

We stopped here en route to Wrarner Bros Studios. Top tip, book a table. We arrived at noon on Sunday and they were fully booked but we took a table so long as we could be done and out within 90 minutes, which suited us perfectly. Great range of meals at a great price and they didn't skimp on the portions and there was a warm welcome despite us not booking! 5 hungry travellers refreshed all ready for Harry Potter!

About 5 minutes from Harry Potter studios, great location. Wonderful service, couldn’t thank all the staff enough! The food was lovely, didn’t have to wait too long even through it was busy. There a great section for watching the football and a different restaurant area if you’re not a fan. Thank you again and would love to return in the future.

Visited the Harry Potter World tour and was staying the night at a hotel close by my partner had suggested we find a pub to watch the football so found the unicorn on Google. Had a very friendly welcome would recommend to anyone. What a great pub with a fab atmosphere.

We booked to eat here before going onto Harry Potter tour. We arrived early due to no traffic delays and they were happy to allocate us before our booked time. This is why I like TripAdvisor. We were in the area having finished the nearby Harry Potter tour and not wanting to eat there.

Whilst en-route to Harry Potter World surfed the internet for a local eatery. I decided on the Unicorn Pub in preference to restaurant chains and my family and I pitched up. On arrival the pub was pretty busy and no spare tables for us.

Visited with 4 adults and 2 young teenagers. Received friendly welcome and enjoyed family pub environment including a game of darts whilst awaiting the food. Menu selection was basic and ideal for young and old people alike with no pretensions of so-called gastro dishes. Just good typical English pub selections at modest prices..As a minor constructive comment - the table service could have been a little sharper!

As with others we were looking for a lunch before visiting Harry Potter studios,and stopped here . Very family friendly, excellent food and great staff. Would definitely go back without hesitation.

We visited here recently to have Sunday lunch before our Harry Potter visit and so glad we did! Cheery, friendly welcome as we arrived. We ordered drinks, but as they had run out of mint leaves for my daughter's mojito, one of the staff went to the village to purchase some....now that's what you call service! The roasts were delicious, as were the desserts. Just wish we had a place like this on our doorstep. One happy family!

If there's a football match on you might want to give it a swerve but if not it's perfect for pre or post Harry Potter with decent portions and value for money. The staff are very welcoming.

Met my daughter here 3 hours before our booked slot at the Warner Bros Studios. I booked a table which was ready and waiting. Food order was taken and promptly delivered. Very good and value for money. I would definitely recommend it. Small car park that wasn't easy to park in.

I was searching for food places near the Harry Potter Studio and found The Unicorn and thought it appropriate with the magical theme of our day out. It is about 10 minutes away from the studio.

I found the Unicorn when looking for a local pub to eat at before a late afternoon visit to the Harry Potter studio's. We had a lovely seat in front of the fire and chose the following food: chicken wrap with fries, minted lamb shank with mash and peas, scampi and chips.

If you like a few beers, food and football, then this is the pub for you. The manageress and staff couldn’t be more welcoming. Definitely worth a visit.

On our way to The Warner Bros Studio Tour my friend and I called in to this lovely little gem of a pub. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was warm and cozy. We ordered a 'small plate' option of cod and chips, one portion would have done 2 of us! the food was lovely and tasty. We would definitely go back to The Unicorn.

Excellent, food and service we arranged to meet here so 2 old pals in their 90’s could meet up they have been pals for over 70 years, one of them was in a wheelchair after a hip operation the staff and regulars just could not do enough for us they certainly went the extra mile. What a gem of a find this was. Fingers crossed we can meet up again.

We booked a table here before visiting the Harry Potter Studios at Leavesden just a few minutes down the road. The two boys had the "more than a mouthful " burger and said it was the best ever, I had chicken fajita wrap with nachos and my hubby had the home made steak and ale pie.

After a long drive i was looking forward to a nice sunday roast. But the only roasted item on the plate was the meat. The potatoes were put in the fryer so didnt have the nice roasted taste or texture. I knew there was something funny about my spuds and it was confirmed ehen my friend found a "roast" potatoe in her bowl of chips. It was a very nice little pub and very friendly staff. Very busy due to charity event, but we were instantly welcomed, and given a table. Food delicious and lots of choice, including Veggie and gluten free. would definitely recommend.

Popped here on a Thursday night for a couple of drinks. The pub is clean and quite large it has a patio out back with a large covered area for smoker's which you can also hire for events as it has a long table. The pub was mainly full of men perhaps this is because there was football on? The toilets were clean and the staff were very pleasent. If you are local this is worth a visit.

We went here based on the trip advisor reviews. The staff were so welcoming and squeezed us in as they were very busy. We ordered roast dinners, they arrive quickly and were scrumptious. We wanted to grab lunch before a family trip to Warner Bros studios and being as disorganised as usual, we hadn't booked anywhere! I phoned the pub at 9am (which I admit was cheeky!) and asked to book a table for 7 people. The landlady asked me to call back in about an hour when she could check the bookings, but at that time I was already on the road.

Dropped in with my two sons (11 & 12) after arriving at Luton and having a few hours to spend before visiting Warner Bros. A rowdy but friendly crowd at the bar and a quiet dining room off to the right were perfect. Food was standard and good value UK pub fare.

We decided last minute to come here for lunch before visiting warner bros studios and I’m so glad we did. Brilliant and friendly service by two ladies, we ordered way too much food (they did warn us) but our eyes were bigger than our bellies, especially with their huge serving sizes! We ordered a double cheeseburger with sweet potato fries, American fried chicken burger and chilli nachos. It didn’t take long to defeat us but we are glad we got to try it all, the food was delicious. This is definitely an underrated pub which I would return to if I were to go back to the area! If you are looking for amazing food and amazing service in a friendly setting, this is the place.
