Always a warm welcome and great service. Stand out hospitality from Danny and Mary. I recommend the Balmoral chicken and lamb shank if you are eating there.

Sunday cycle to Balloch from Glasgow,23 miles and looking fwd to Sunday roast,it's a true saying that if you're hungry, you will eat anything.the food was absolutely shocking,I ordered two triple roasts at 17.99 and two pints of ciders.the bill was 52 smthn,anyway was told might be an hour or so that was okay I thought as it was quite busy and we were both hungry.the food arrived and we started to eat the food next minute the waiter appeared back at the table to inform us that he had delivered the wrong food to us????and then brought the two original order,we'll I should have as for my money back there and then,it was smothered in gravy which was all lumps not made correctly (being a chef myself)the mash had been over cooked in chef mike(the microwave).on Monday, I made a call to speak to management, which I did and spoke to Danny. Oh, thanks for emailing me back. Not so on my advice. Stay well away from the tullie Inn in Balloch for Sunday lunch .would be as well throwing your money in Loch lomond

Had a lovely meal with family and friends, staff were very attentive and nothing was too much. Had a wide selection of drinks including my favourite lager Moretti. Would definitely recommend here to anyone looking for a relaxing meal. Thank you!

Me and my family really enjoyed our Sunday lunch yesterday. Very friendly pub. Became busy but it made the place very vibrant. We had a low table in the corner which was well suited to the two dogs that we had with us. Staff were very friendly and made a fuss of the two canines. Would recommend. Stopped here on a busy Sunday lunch time and the place was mobbed at the bar. Decent amount of people sitting at the restaurant and you could instantly see the two waiters running around the restaurant, very understaffed. We sat down in a lovely area in the front and the atmosphere was nice. They took their time serving us and apologised for the wait. We could see how unexpectedly busy it was and the staff were lovely so we understood. Ordered the £17 roast beef Sunday lunch and was expecting a nice big portion for that price. We were very disappointed with the portion as a few potatoes, very small amount of veg and a slither of mash was on the plate. I am not someone who would usually manage to finish all my meal when eating out however I had finished the full roast in minutes it was that small! The food was okay just seemed like it had been reheated and there wasn’t enough to go around due to how busy it was. I understand having worked in hospitality the stress you can be under however please don’t sit guests if you don’t have enough food or staff to provide for them. We were really disappointed with the food especially for the price and we left hungry! Looked a lovely area for a drink and would perhaps try again on a quieter day.

Booked a table for six people for Mothers Day after being down there a few weeks previous for lunch . What a huge disappointment waited 1hr 15mins for mains to be served when we queried we were told your order was lost. No one came over to explain or apologise for this when the food arrived it was cold and dried up, Such a waste of journey time and money spent for a special occasion only to be let down by staff and service. Stay clear will not be recommending to anyone

Visited early last Sunday evening as we were with family, the place is nice although it needs a decent clean and some touch ups of paint from what looks like water damage. We were seated pretty quickly, drinks orders taken but the menu wasn’t great, they’d ran out of loads of things and it wasn’t that busy so it was strange. The staff were ok, not overly helpful and when asking questions responses seemed forced. The older woman serving looked like she would rather be anywhere else & the young girl was more interested in eyeing up the young men in our party. Food was a bit meh, either under or overcooked & prices inflated for what we got, drinks prices were through the roof for some items. Wouldn’t return.

After walking up to the entrance and seeing a huge pile of orange vomit with vegetables, I was already out off. Upon entering we asked for a table for 3 and the response was have you booked? This made my husband think this is going to be good. We ordered drinks and food, the lady was pleasant enough, the food arrived and the young girl with dark hair and grey cardigan (who clearly looked as though she didn’t want to be there) put the food (I call it food but it looked like slop!) on the table in front of us. The beef rib looked like it hadn’t been heated through enough and the gravy was congealed and look horrific, the kale and cabbage wasn’t deveined and smelled of out of date garlic! The lamb shanks were edible however the mash on all three plates were overcooked and the broccoli was so overcooked it was burnt and had zero life left in it! The high hopes my husband had quickly diminished. The food is terrible and the staff need to look a bit more engaged. Saying that we will never know now as we will never go back!! It was terrible! The only good thing was the vomit had disappeared when we left!

The wait for the food was far too long. Starter of chicken wing and chicken skewars were tasty however then waited an easy 30 mins for our mains, we both has the steak and it was overcooked and tough. I regret actually paying for it. Oj and £10.45 for a glass of wine ouch!

I am absolutely appalled at my experience, we were greeted by a lady with blonde hair who was very rude and abrupt when I asked for table. As we looked at the menu we expected high quality food which reflects the price of the meals. We were proved very wrong very fast! The girl with dark hair and glasses slammed our food on the table and showed everyone in the restaurant that she clearly didn’t want to be there! You could cut through the mash with a knife the meat was full of gristle and veg was so undercooked, all just come out of the microwave. Asked for the bill and card machine to which she put the bill on our table and just walked off when we was wanting to pay. Avoid this place at all cost as this was the service when they were quite never mind busy!

Disgusting food, the only problem was I never took a snapshot of what we had, as we were so annoyed,it was a health hazard.

I am fuming after a recent visit to this restaurant! I notice that someone else has mentioned how rude the staff are - I had to approach a young female who was serving behind the bar for help as no one was going to help us find a table or a menu! She took great pleasure in telling us that we couldn't sit in the restaurant section, despite the fact that the bar area was packed! She rolled her eyes when was asked what was on the menu. We walked out and won't ever step foot in the place ever again!

Had great overnight stay here. Staff were so helpful and friendly. Rooms are so nice and food highly recommended. Tipsy afternoon tea is a must, and breakfast next morning is perfect, after a few beers in a well stocked bar night prior.

The tulli inn is a warm and friendly place to stay the staff are excellent helpful and courteous rooms are fine breakfast very good. The thing that lets it down is the bar tariff expensive in Glasgow city center l pay for a pint £360. Tulli £4.75. The other licenses premises in the vicinity mutch cheeper. Not mutch more l can say

Decent food, relatively fast service bus incredibly rude and unfriendly staff that look and behave like they would rather be dead than be there. I'm still literally shocked by the behavior of some of the staff. Food is decent but overpriced for the quality you are getting.

We had a delicious lunch today. The service from Debbie and Mary was warm and friendly. I had a lovely chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich. I can honestly say it was the most delicious sandwich ever. My other half had the chicken burger. Thank you to chef Scott.

Perfectly located if you are visiting Loch Lomond for the day. We had gotten the train from Glasgow Central in the morning and stumbled across this lovely restaurant for breakfast/coffee. Set in a little village location, this is the perfect place to settle down for a spot of lunch or dinner. Quiet and peaceful location, excellent service and beautiful food options available.

We went for breakfast 2 days running and oh boy what a difference a day makes the first day we were made to feel really welcome and the waiter was very friendly,on the second morning however it was a different story,we were met by a very sullen woman who obviously didn’t want us there,she kept saying it’s going to be a long wait as we are serving residents first,if you don’t want or can’t take walk in customers then say so

We had a lovely evening. David was great. Everything was delicious and brought out in a very timely fashion. Despite the busy night with many tables to serve, David was friendly and cheerful throughout :)

Excellent service, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast. Lovely size room, all with iron, ironboard and hairdryer. Please be aware the noise of the fans from the kitchen at 7am.

Absolutely worst food I’ve ever eaten. 2 of us ordered mussels that were half cold in brown water. Either cooked in the microwave out a packet or terrible chef as the hunters chicken was also really bad, no flavour and hard cold fries. Plenty of other nice restaurants around the town so I’d advise to stay well clear of this one. Only plus side was the pool table wasn’t too bad.

Recently visited the Tullie for lunch with my sister, niece and nephew (they’re younger children and a high chair was required) Upon arrival my sister was organising things for my nephew to ensure that he was content and wouldn’t disturb other customers. The lady serving us with blonde hair and glasses asked if we would like a drink. I asked if there were any fruit shoot for the children to which she just responded a blunt “no”. She brought over our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. We asked for another couple of minutes and she rolled her eyes at my sister and seemed genuinely annoyed that we were in having lunch with the kids. After this we got a sort of frosty reception and it really upset me. Maybe it’s because I have a background in hospitality I would never speak or act like this to customers but we felt completely uncomfortable and unwelcome and as if we shouldn’t have been there at all. Definitely wouldn’t return here which is a shame because the food was actually lovely and my sister is friends with some other staff members.

First time we have visited Tullie Inn as this was only a quick stop on the way home for a Sunday roast dinner and it was incredible! The food was very hearty and the staff were very friendly. To have food this good and to be dog friendly is amazing. Will highly recommend and be back on our next visit.

Dropped in for some lunch after being unable to golf due to foggy conditions. Staff were fantastic. My chicken, bacon and avocado sandwich was spot on and very reasonably priced. Recommended!

Looking from the outside it looks very nice. The prices also lead you to believe you are going to get some quality. It was awful. Starters, mains and desserts all done in the microwave. If you’re on a holiday / small break away - don’t waste your time going here, you would definitely be able to make something quicker and tastier at home

I was charged an incorrect price for a drinks order….the bar staff added a gratuity to my order without my permission.

Adjacent to Balloch Station, well known for food and popular with families, A good pint of Loch Lomond ale was enjoyed.

Came in to meet family that had travelled from Glasgow and Falkirk. Honestly can’t fault the place. Chris was absolutely brilliant, taking time to have a chat with us when he got a minute and have a laugh with our group. Had a dog and a baby in our party, and any help that was needed was offered without ask. Debbie was also very helpful and I would recommend stopping in if you’re passing or if looking for a place that welcomes dogs and a comfy and cozy atmosphere.

Stopped here for lunch. Great welcome, lovely food and very reasonable prices. We just had something from the ‘light bite’ menu. Even so, the portion sizes were very generous. Would recommend.

Most terrible meal I have ever had in my life microwaved meat cremated to an inch of its life 🤮completely inedible then had the absolute cheek to charge £4 for a tiny bowl of chips which I had as wouldn’t eat anything else from there avoid at all cost staff couldnt even apologise for the disgrace that it was won’t be back

In general, I liked my stay. Warm, clean, comfortable. The staff are friendly, good service. Delicious breakfasts, also convenient that you can go downstairs from your room to have dinner or sit in the bar.The only thing for some reason there was no hot water in the sink, but there was hot water in the shower. Also be aware that you have to deal with stairs because there is no lift.

Small hotel, the rooms were lovely, the staff were very friendly in particular Mary who served us breakfast, and a well stocked bar.

If you're looking for a comfortable environment and lovely warming food, then this is the perfect time place to be. The staff here were absolutely fabulous. The food was more than ample and tasted amazing. Great location, easy to get to and there is a car park for ease. We went here for Sunday Roast and loved it so much that we came back again 3 nights later. If I were to visit the area again, I would most definitely come back with no hesitation. Over a decade ago, I had the pleasure of staying at the Tullie Inn on my birthday. The room was comfortable but and yet reasonably priced. I especially appreciated the local touch to the decor, which added to the authenticity of my stay. In addition to that, I was delighted to find that the breakfast provided during my stay catered to my dietary needs - Muslim who would go for a vegetarian meal in a non halal restaurant. So in conclusion my stay at the Tullie Inn was a wonderful experience that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Loch Lomond. I would happily return for another stay.

Stayed at the Tullie Inn for few nights in the family room. Can't fault it in any way and my kids are already planning next vist. Rooms were very clean, food was lovely and all staff were very friendly and helpful. I couldn't recommend this place enough! The staff made us feel extremely welcome and were very keen to help us in every possible way. The rooms were beautiful with plenty of space and it had a bath as well as a shower which was a lovely surprise. The food is also exceptional, both breakfast and evening meals were cooked to perfection. The pub area is also a perfect place to relax with a great range of drinks and a lovely atmosphere, accommodating to families and pets also welcome. Popped in for lunch on a wet day after a wee scoot up the showers of the loch.... Really good food and a very warm welcome and chat. One very very minor criticism though was finding the door to go in as an A frame advertising hoarding gave the impression they were closed..... 🤷

Afternoon Tea for four was a real treat. Exceptional service when booking - very helpful with regards to providing specific sandwich fillings for one guest and also catered very well with the dairy free requirement. Waiting staff were very kind bringing out the birthday cake and singing Happy Birthday to a very surprised eight year old! An absolute delight and we’ll definitely be back.

Badly let down by another hotel and booked this at 20 minutes notice. Lovely warm and inviting room. Exceptional breakfast. Slightly surreal check in experience in the middle of a crowded bar but outweighed by the fact all else was fabulous.

The rooms are lovely, would benefit for having extra pillows in the room. They were flat. The food was very tasty, great portions, value for money. Right next to the train station but quiet. Parking is tight and not easy to park, especially if the carpark is busy. Not much room to turn or get out of spaces.

We didn't stay in the accommodation but were staying nearby. We did arrive late on but they did squeeze us in for food right at the end of service, which I'm totally grateful for because after we had eaten there was a live band on and the atmosphere was that great we stayed there till shutting time! Food was lovely and drinks were reasonably priced too, overall a great place.

Popped in for coffee only to find that the price has increased by 25p and no longer accompanied by a little biscotti biscuit. Also noticed that all food and drinks had increased in price. Th attitude of the lady that served me was indifferent and blamed the cost of living crisis. I noticed that she still had money to gamble on the fruit machine. As a local resident who these establishments rely on throughout the year, I found her attitude disappointing I'll be looking for an alternative in Balloch for my coffee

An ok place in the heart of Balloch. The menu is satisfactory, food tasty and the decor nice and fresh. However, the staff is absolutely horrific. The lady who served us couldn't care less about any basis customer service. She treated us like a nuisance and showed off her complete lack of interest in serving the guests. Disappointingly.

Good prices, great food. Lovely location and friendly staff. However our experience was dampened by the excessive wait for food (chips and onion rings, nothing crazy to make), which we had to wait for over 30min. When we complained, we were told that kitchen was busy and that everyone had to wait over 20mins anyway. I don’t know many places with that long a wait for mains, never mind starters and don’t know any that would boast about that wait…

Came in and was greeted by a miserable, older female hostess. We were one of maybe 5 people in the entire restaurant. Felt like we somehow offended her with our mere presence and any interactions with her really put us off. Outside of that everyone else was very kind/great service and the Chicken and bacon pie was delicious. Can't comment on rooms as we only visited the restaurant.

We popped in here for a light lunch, I had haggis, when in Rome and all that 🤷‍♂️ throughly enjoyed it. We also had a club sandwich, which was also very good. The chicken was cooked to perfection. What let this experience down was the lady who welcomed us or didn't. We We told that there was a twenty minute delay due to the kitchen sorting out the new menu. But instead of seating us and letting us order drinks, they told us to go. Obviously, trade is so good that you can afford to lose two paying customers. We returned, because we'd already parked in the car park otherwise we wouldn't have. The said lady was our server, but not once did she break a smile. Either she'd had a bad day, that day, or the service industry isn't for her. Don't let our experience put you off. The food was great

It's a convenient location, the staff are friendly and capable, it was very busy which is a great sign, but the menu was a little lacking on the bar snack/small bites level of food we were after. Not tonnes of character, but definitely serviceable.
