The Tudor Rose in Medway

Went for dinner at the Tudor Rose to celebrate my graduation on Friday 22nd. I went with my husband and my parents and we were all equally impressed with our meal choices. Two of us had the Tudor burger which was cooked perfectly and had the best chips I’ve ever had, my mum had the homemade steak and ale pie (delicious-we all had a try) and my dad had the sea bass which he said was the best he’d had. Everything was cooked perfectly, the staff and the owners were attentive but didn’t interrupt us and were lovely and polite and great to chat with when we had a drink at the bar. We had two puddings, a crumble and the bread and butter pudding. It was all spot on and really reasonably priced too. It can’t wait to come back and particularly in the warmer weather because the garden is beautiful and the pub is in such a lovely setting. What a little gem 💎

A lovely little pub beside the river. Last minute booking for Sunday lunch, The Tudor Rose did not disappoint! I had the roast beef with all the trimmings and a side order of cheesy leeks, the veg was absolutely lovely, tasted home made and not mass produced. My husband had a mixed roast board and enjoyed his just as much. The 2 ladies that served us were very friendly and attentive asking us several times if everything was ok. Will definitely return

This is a tranquil spot for a family stop in Medway lovely staff dogs are welcome woff . We had a lovely meal and nothing was too much . If your lucky enough to see the ducks out back amazing public house

Been to the Tudor Rose on a number of occasions, latest a week ago. It has a friendly atmosphere and the food is always cooked to perfection, the staff just goes that little bit extra in making it an enjoyable experience. Would highly recommend this pub for any family occasions.

Visited on 31st December for a birthday meal. An adult and childs chicken roast was ordered plus two seafood platters and a prawn ploughman's. Expected really nice food from the description but it was really disappointing and not a great experience for a costly birthday treat. Shame as I have visited in the summer and ordered from the lunch menu. The food and service was much better then.

Cosy little pub with fantastic service and selection, we made an unannounced visit on New Years Eve and were greeted with a smile and escorted to a lovely little table, drinks ordered placed and menus provided. We were lucking the roasts were available with great portion size and quality products, somehow we even found room for dessert! Fantastic find and we will be back in 2024 to sample more fantastic food and brilliant service

Lovely cosy pub, friendly staff and good food. If you have accessibility issues you might struggle, but apart from that it’s a great place.

Fabulous meal on Christmas Day! Food was delicious! Brilliant atmosphere, 3 course meal, with Bucks Fizz. A choice of mains, we had the traditional Turkey which was beautiful, loads of veg all really tasty. Great portion size, took some meat home for the dogs so they were happy. Brilliant lunch and the all the staff made it a fantastic day.

We had our Christmas meal today and it was lovely. The food was great, the staff lovely as ever and I would definitely go back for an Xmas meal again if you will have me lol Merry Christmas to all the staff at the Tudor Rose x

What a great dog friendly pub, we didn't get the chance to try the food but it looked amazing. Great large fireplaces to keep you warm, really quirky layout with various rooms, The staff were really nice and friendly even though they were really busy nothing was too much trouble.

We booked the back room for 15 people to celebrate my sons 30th The landlords Mark and Linda were brilliant, from the moment the guests arrived, everyone was made so welcome. The staff helped in putting up the banners, balloons and delivery of the Birthday cake, which considering was a very busy Sunday afternoon for them, was amazing. The Sunday roasts were excellent and delivered at the same time for all 15 of us ! Thank you.

We booked Sunday lunch for a family birthday celebration. Fabulous service, a very varied menu catering for all individual requirements. Our food arrived very efficiently after ordering and was superb. We were very well looked after, checking if we wanted drinks, any sauces with meal.. a lovely touch for my daughter was the surprise of a plated pudding with a candle and writing which was so nice. Thank you Linda and Mark and all the staff for a truly enjoyable and yummy lunch..we will definitely be back.

Historic, atmospheric pub. Delicious, generously portioned lunch. Friendly, welcoming staff and patrons. Convenient carpark nearby. The pub is on a cobbled street featuring interesting architecture. Upnor Castle and river close by. I am looking forward to dining at the Tudor Rose again.

This wonderful pub fits will within this delightful small village. The local home's display a past history. The lunch was excellent the bar staff were very friendly. The decor was very stylish as just before Halloween. Will certainly return 👌

My favourite pub near my parents home. Always loved this place but since Mark and his team have been in charge it just gets better and better. Lovely dog friendly staff, great pints of whitstable lager and an awesome pie. Definitely recommend. I found out today vaping is against the rules so busted the geese in the lovely garden which wasn’t so bad.

Had lunch here with my mother, the service was second to none, parking is a bit of a pain, but well worth it, the food was well cooked and excellent portions, everyone was friendly and helpful, we will be returning.

A truly beautiful hidden gem. We attended a pagen wedding here and it was so relaxed and lovely in the garden. Through the wedding the staff all came and watched which I thought was a lovely touch. There is plenty of seating it's very relaxed clean and staff were all lovely definitely recommend and will be back

Had Sunday lunch, it was excellent, if you value quantity over quality then you will be disappointed, that's not to say portions are small they are not. Roast beef, Yorkshire pudding,roast potatoes, broccoli, carrots, peas, red cabbage and gravy all cooked beautifully. Rhubarb crumble with fresh cream for dessert, again beautiful. Table staff excellent, unobtrusive yet attentive. Prices very reasonable given todays financial circumstances. Plenty of outdoor seating including covered and open plus heating when conditions required. Would and do thoroughly recommend.

We arrived for a drink and there was a reception going on in the garden. When they realised we were not part of the party we were shown to a room out the back not set up for guests- then asked go and sit in the restaurant area. Staff were very busy with the reception and we didn’t feel welcome at all. I would say either close to the public or give the usual warm welcome!

The place is in a beautiful setting a stone throw from the quiter side of the river medway. The staff where friendly and the food was very good. It is on the more expensive side but the quality is also higher. My parents expecially loved it and I'm sure you will be seeing them again.

We had such an amazing afternoon and evening at our absolute favourite pub in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 last weekend. It helps that owner Mark and I are avid MUFC supporters and that news of United’s victory over BHA in the FA Cup semi had just filtered in. But victory aside, just as satisfying was our dinner and service experience at the venue. Roasts and curries, second to none and service from Skye always a delight. One of the wonderful young staffers is Macy, we were so incredibly impressed by this bright young Woman. Still prepping for exams, here is a conscientious Lass, not afraid to work a 6 hour shift with a smile on her face, then go home to study. Wow!

My cousin is local to the area and chose to book a table before we headed home (visiting her prem baby in hospital) we had my hyper active son with us and 3 very exhausted hungry adults .. I was cautious as the pub is a quiet cosy environment (perfect for date nights or older people) however I read the room completely wrong they cater for ALLL! My nosiey son was no issues at all! The staff members all engaged and interacted with him. The food was quick but amazing quality (a real homecooked roast) price was more than reasonable for quality and amount! My son was darting around the small restaurant area we was in but the locals didn't seem to mind at all. It was honestly a pleasure eating here!! If I didn't live 2 hours away I would return every day just for atmosphere/cleanliness/friendly staff and AMAZING fresh food!! 10/10 you should all be incredibly proud of the beautiful friendly but cosy pub you have created on the waters edge!! We had our wedding reception here on the Good Friday, we had an amazing time, the food was delicious and service was extremely good. Ample servings, could not Fault. We stayed here at the B&B on our wedding night, amenities were brilliant, the room was lovely and the shower was amazing, the breakfast was plentiful and fry up was very tasty.Thank you Linda for a wonderful day.
