Had not been here for while, and this was our first evening meal at this lovely restaurant. Tasting menu with choices.........brilliant idea! There were 6 of us celebrating a special birthday. We sampled a bit of everything, with discreet (or not) sharing, each dish was sublime. One of our party is vegetarian, and she reckoned that this was the best vegetarian tasting menu that she had ever tasted.

Six of us visited here in November for a celebratory evening, the whole experience was first class.Great Fosters is a beautiful building anyway and have been here for afternoon tea so knew the hotel. The taster menu was exquisite and better than expected, I had the veggie taster menu and I can promise you meat eaters it was amazing , the other five guests chose the meat and fish option. The service from the sommelier and the waiting team and the manager was first class, not at all rushed and not at all stuffy, we had a very relaxed evening. Worth booking for months ahead and worth every penny, yes it’s not cheap but you get what you pay for. Can’t wait to return.

The Beehive

13/12/2018: We called in for lunch because we saw the food sign as we were driving past and couldn't have made a better choice. There was a great welcome and an interesting menu. The food I chose, the steak sandwich was terrific and the beer was as good as any I have tried for ages. This place is exactly what a pub should be. Perhaps a tad expensive, but worth every penny.
11/11/2018: Good beers, lovely staff, traditional pub and first rate landlord! Excellent good value food too. The pub hosts regular events and we were there for a big band performance by students and Royal Hollway just down the road _ excellent. We had a great evening, would highly recommend. Our dog enjoyed it too, being very dog friendly.

Bluebells Restaurant & Bar

24/03/2019: We were a party of four and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Great food and wonderful service! Looking for treat of an experience then we would recommend very highly!
24/12/2018: Bluebells has been a firm family favourite for many years - the atmosphere, welcome, food and service are without equal, and we look forward to dining in the new Bluebells very soon. If John and his crew can maintain the standard of the old Bluebells, which I'm sure they can, it will remain at the top of our must go to restaurant list. Relaxed and informal fine dining, the staff are attentive but discreet, and the regularly changing menus are inventive, varied, incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. The wine list is extensive, with something for all budgets, and the overall experience is extraordinarily good value.
