This is our second stay at the Trewern Arms. We are a group of friends, one of whom started a Ukelele group 10 years ago. Approximately 20 stayed here, whilst others stayed nearby(not enough rooms)! I know I speak on their behalf when I say to anyone, “STAY HERE”, you will not be disappointed, the food is cooked and presented impeccably. It was delicious both at breakfast and at dinner. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. We were joined by Jeremy a local and other local musicians, and spent two great evening’s together. As long as we are playing and singing, we will come back to the Trewern Arms and I would thoroughly recommend it …..Elaine

We had a splendid Sunday lunch. The food was really gorgeous and the staff friendly and attention. We had the lamb. It was my husband's birthday, and we were surprised with a candle on his pudding, which we thought was an unexpected touch.

Chosen for its closeness to the Fishguard ferry, this pub and B&B proved to be far better than expected. Set in a lovely village the Trwern Arms offered really nice accommodation and a good evening menu. The breakfast was good too.

I really don’t like leaving a negative review, and I’m sorry for this, but the young guy behind the bar obviously didn’t want to be there, no smile, acknowledgment , welcome , hello , please ,thank you goodbye! Very rude!! I’m all fairness none of the staff were great, all pretending to look busy rather than serve , apart from the lady with blonde dreadlocks who was lovely. I’m not saying the food was bad , neither was it great, but personal choice,it just wasn’t for me it’s not what I’d call a traditional Sunday lunch the veg were too hard and the beef quite tough. I’d also say the bar/seating area could do with a good deep clean and a fresh lick of paint. So sad it has all that character, just missing the warmth.

Chanced upon Trewern Arms and what a find for Sunday lunch. They were extremely busy but managed to fit us in. We were not rushed From the very start the staff were very kind helpful and courteous nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing cooked to perfection . The waitress even put us in the right direction for exploring the various places of interest often missed a stones throw from the premises.

Stayed overnight in Daisy (the elderly camper van). The staff were lovely as was the beer and breakfast (not at the same time). Pretty village with ruined castle and church (complete with Celtic cross). The river holds sea trout and salmon so well worth a return visit next year.

Fantastic Sunday Lunch of Roast Welsh Beef and well overdue return to the menu, food was 1st class produce and well-cooked and delivered by the very pleasant Bethany! One slice of beef however was very gristly BUT swiftly replaced with a judicious apology (and an extra slice!) Impressed by the quality of lunch we decided to try the homemade deserts, Beetroot Brownie and a Sticky Toffee Pudding. Both were EXCELLENT! Another thing to point out is their selection of Real Ales, new ones to try every visit. Overall Excellent value considering the 1st class food and service! Thanks!

I am a local but have forgotten how stunning this place is, and we were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was and it was beautifully presented. A bit pricey (no children's menu just small mains). The swing in the car park was a huge attraction for my boys, there's a real lack of family friendly beer gardens locally so it would be nice to see more things for the kids to play on. Will be back soon however, looking forward to seeing the refurb.

Pub was awful. Dreadful old fashioned decor (though they are apparently refurbishing). Unfriendly barman. We had booked a table to eat and he pointed is to a dingy small table in a tiny nook. He told us that they were really busy tonight. We were early so said we'd get a drink and go into the garden before dinner. Gin had no ice. Beer was good. We contemplated leaving but were hungry. In going back in, we avoided the surly barman and went to the restaurant part. We asked if we could be seated there. We were helped by a charming young waiter who bent over backwards to help us. Restaurant was a lot more attractive than the pub area. Food was surprisingly good, exceeding our (llow) expectations. And it wasn't busy, don't know why the barman said it was. Not planning on going back.

We stayed for one night on our little day tours around Pembrokeshire. This was a Great country pub, the food was delicious although the menu is limited. The rooms are clean and comfy, with a great shower. Breakfast is made to order and was one of the best. The pub is old, with low ceilings and very dark, but there is a garden area, a shame we arrived a little late to use it. We would revisit if in the area again.

A gem of a place to stay. It was relaxed and friendly (thanks to all the delightful staff who apparently are all called Billy!). The food was delicious and the walks around the area were great. Dogs are very welcome .Also there is a really special Dawn Sequoia tree in the pub garden which possibly was one of the first saplings after they were discovered in a remote valley in China in the 1950s. I have only seen ones as big in Kew Gardens. There's Ogham stones in the church and even a bleeding yew. Pilgrims footprints in the rocks from the middle ages and an ancient Celtic Cross. I am already looking forward to going back for a Guiness and Portobello mushroom burger!

We decided to celebrate our Ruby Wedding Anniversary here, staying for four nights. It's a wonderful location, full of history and charm. Rooms: spotless, warm, wonderful bathroom (underfloor heating!). Our rear room overlooked the fields and the woods. Breakfast: an excellent variety of items, juices, cereals, cooked breakfast, egg dishes such as Eggs Royale. Hot, grease-free plates and very helpful staff. Evening meal: surprisingly a very limited menu, but the specials menu included pan fried hake, which was beautifully prepared. (Were there twenty items on the menu, I would wonder how much of it would be fresh and coming from the freezer! So the menu was condition) Again, hot plates, a polite barman in a warm environment. The bar: again, limited. Not many ales on pump to choose from, considering what Wales has to offer, but a Llanddarog ale was added on Saturday, which was good. I was a bit hurt...the following Easter week they were having "twenty local ales and ciders". Why, perhaps couldn't they have brought it forward a week for me to try everything first!! It always comes down to this. Would we come again? Absolutely, I wouldn't give it a second's thought.
