Just got back from a Christmas shopping and cocktails event. Such a relaxing and informal evening with incredible cocktails and nibbles and Christmas retail therapy. A perfect Mother and Daughter evening! ❤️

The only disappointment is that we had not eaten here before, this wonderful restaurant was on our doorstep - will try and make up for lost time. It provides a lovely environment with excellent staff and a varied menu. The food is beautifully prepared and presented at very reasonable prices. The Tapas were as good as you will find. First rate in every respect looking forward to our next visit soon

We absolutely love this place in the heart of Market Drayton, we love popping in for a lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Great choice on the menu at a reasonable price, the food is delicious and plenty of. The tapas that is on the menu at the moment is fabulous full of flavour and definitely worth a try! Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

We popped into The Town House last Friday for the first time and we had a really great time. The food was brilliant and well worth the money. I had the burger which was lovely and my girlfriend had the lamb which she really enjoyed. Just want to say thank you to Nathaniel who hosted in the evening, very friendly and a really great host!

Absolutely fantastic meal at The Town House, plus cocktails in The Living Room beforehand. The food was superb and the staff so friendly and welcoming. Whilst travelling up the Shropshire Union Canal we have had some also ran meals out, but this is definitely a restaurant not to miss.

Booked a table for 2 few days before, turned up just before booked time, offered us to upstairs to have a cocktail before we eat which was lovely, ordered our food to then be taken back down just before our starters were ready. My meal: Starter brilliant! Main: I had a slow cooked shoulder of lamb. It was like it was cooked and re-cooked several times! It was tough, burnt, and rubbery! I hoped that they noticed that it wasn't eaten!

Followed trip advisor reviews and found this really good restaurant within walking distance of our accommodation. Arrived a bit early but it was quiet so got a table OK. At first glance the menu looks boring but on closer inspection there are some interesting, unusual and tasty choices. We were served by Nathaniel ( Spelling?) who was really great. Helpful, polite and attentive to all the customers. We had a portion of nibbles between us, then a starter each, main course each dessert to share. Be warned the portions are generous to say the least so make sure you're hungry! A surprise bonus at the end of the meal was a free glass of the house salted caramel vodka. WOW ! sums that up. All in all a great meal, with even better service in pleasant surroundings.

Just had the most delicious meal at the Town House. Market Drayton is so lucky to have this amazing, independent, chef owned restaurant. The French onion rostis on the snack menu were so delicious and as always the vegetarian meal I had, the carrot and feta tarte tatin with tomato tapenade, was inspired. Of course there are also the irresistible cocktails upstairs. If you've never been you don't know what you're missing.

Came here a couple weekends ago for a family meal for my dad's birthday. Drinks were nice and food was average. But there was too much lack of communication between the waiting on staff and the kitchen. My dad is gluten free and we told the staff on arrival, when it came to ordering puddings we asked what was gluten free and they told us the cheesecake, so this is what he ordered. Shortly after it arrived the waitress came running out saying that he couldn't have it because there was gluten in it. Then at the end before we left another staff member came out and said he could have had the cheesecake after all because there was no gluten in it. I understand this is not a huge issue, but what if it had been the other way round. Over all this was too stressful of a situation and we will not be returning!

It was our first time here and we were not disappointed. The welcome was wonderful and the restaurant is so quirky. We loved it. The cocktail bar upstairs is equally lovely. We had the most amazing food. It was delicious. All of it was well presented and really fresh ingredients. Can’t wait to go back!

What a disappointment with our meal last night we have visited previously and had a super meal so we sugested that friends came along with us for a return visit last night was not very good we arived and at 7.30 and two of us ordered the lamb but the waitress returned to inform us that they had run out rather early in the evening for items not to be available so we changed to flat iron steaks well the taste was good but they were very very tough and took ages to chew luckily none of ushad false teeth they were awful suggest they change their butcher this realy let the quality of the meal down unfortunately we will certainly not be recommending a return visit

Being closed because of lockdown but doing weekend takeaway we thought we would have a treat as the previous tapas had been excellent. We ordered a 3 course meal on Friday evening. 5mins drive from restaurant and meal was all piping hot and ready to serve. The food was in excellent condition and we were fully sated after it. We ordered 8 dishes to share between the two of us and finished suitably full. All the dishes were really good, but a special mention for the gravy with the faggots - that was divine and enough to get Greg Wallace going "waaaahhhhh". The fried chicken & sesame toast was also superb.

Great to visit again after Covid closures - limited menu (tapas - with the usual Town House interpretation!) but both food and atmosphere excellent. We are lucky to have a restaurant of this quality on out door step.

Called in for lunch yesterday for first visit-well laid out restaurant, good furniture, warm welcome. We were celebrating so ordered a bottle of cava and we were delighted when a nicely chilled bottle of Tanners cava arrived! Delicious. The light lunch was very good indeed, I had the smoked haddock on mash and OH the chicken with curried mayo sandwich. Both tasty and excellent. Our waitress was delightful will visit again.

The town house team were friendly and professional in dealing with our large group. They got all pre orders right, with beautiful food, and even were able to deal with last minute changes. We came to celebrate an anniversary. Table for 5 and everyone had a good meal. Main course and sweet were very well cooked.

My husband and myself have some vouchers to spend we decided on the ala carte menu but wanted a starter off the the fixed menu this was no trouble at all for them to arrange.

We have found a gem of a restaurant in market Drayton in Shropshire. The place is modern and easy to find with a small but interesting menu with good veg options. Normally i get bored of restaurant offerings as they tend to be the same old thing, not here! Great imagination has gone into the food and it was fabulous, bold flavours and the steak i had was actually cooked to perfection and melt in the mouth. Sadly I was to full to try the desserts but will give it a go next time. To top it all off we went on fizz Friday where you get a bottle of fizz, glasses with fruit and little bottles of spirits to make a cocktail. Great fun. The owner was a lovely chap who obviously has great enthusiasm for his restaurant. We will be back.

My freinds and I ate at the town house recently and really enjoyed our experience there. The chef even helped us find a taxi service to take us home.

Found this restaurant yesterday, what a fab place, just what market Drayton needs. Our lunch was lovely, an unusual Greek salad omelette and my husband's fish and chips looked wonderful. We will definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

We were off to the Theatre and found the town house last minute.

I own a B&B; in the local area. When guests ask for recommendations its always a bit risky, however, there has only ever been praise for this place. In fact a few guests have actually said its the best meal they ever have had. The menu is excellent and all locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. You definitely get what you pay for here.

Four of us went for an evening meal here recently. We (4 friends) had an overnight stay in Market Drayton and saw The Town House when walking through town. In the evening we managed to get a table between bookings which was very obliging of the staff on what was a very hot and busy evening. The service was friendly and prompt, the food was amazing - tasty and well-thought (easily as good as some high end restaurants I've eaten in) and fantastic value as part of the 2 course special.
