What an amazing place! We visited on a Monday and this place was packed! We were able to take our dog in which was great and the service was excellent. Best fish and chips we had had in years and such amazing value! £11.50 for fish & chips for two including a pot of tea, mushy peas and bread and butter! We would pay that for one down south! And they brought a sausage out for the dog! No wonder this place was packed!

Nice tasting meal, excellent value for the money.... had the OAP meals and plenty to eat. Hot, fresh and tasty, pot of tea and coffee bread and butter, what more could anyone want... and friendly helpful staff too.... recommended five star Hilary and Dave

Best fish and chips we've had for a long time. How they do the portions for the cost I don't know. The photo is 1 cod special and 1 OAP cod special and included a pot of tea, a pot of coffee and a slice if bread and butter each total cost £11.45 for the 2 of us. We ate in but take away prices are cheaper. The staff couldn't do enough for us and the place was very clean. Thank you for a lovely meal. This will be our go to chippy from now on.

When here new year eve... Thay were very busy .. we got the only table left .. waitress came straight away with menus and took order shortly after .. friendly to an chatty Food came quickly Food was very nice clean crispy batter and nice chips will visit again soon 😁👍

Wow, the fish & chips were delicious, the service was excellent and very friendly, the building is a little dated but don't let that put you off, the portions were huge especially for the low cost of the meal, we got the cod special, one & half fish chips & peas bred & butter & a cup of tea for £6.50 each, proper bargain and well worth a visit 👍

What a great restaurant. The service & food were both excellent, they were very helpful in providing a meal for a member of our party who is celiac and were great with the kids. Not only was the food great, the best chips I’ve had in years, it was also excellent value for money.

We have been going to the Town Fryer for a number of years and although it says I went in September I actually go about one a month/6 weeks, travel 6 miles to get there because it is the best around, the portions are more than adequate and often struggle to finish fish chips and gravy, also the prices are the best around bar none, there are places which are £9+ for a fish dinner of the same size so like I said unbeatable value, if you have any doubts there's only one way to find out and that's go and see for yourself how good it is and thank me later.

This was a fabulous cafe, food excellent, staff lovely and very pleasant, quality superb, would definitely recommend ,I ordered a small meal and it big, very very happy.

Great fish and chips, ample tea as part of the meal deals. Lovely fish, nice flakes and great value for money. Its our Fish and chips destination when in Rhyl, my old home town. Went again in November 2022, and the Fish and chips are still great, the fish particularly was the best I'd had in Rhyl, so fresh and delicious. 2023 - just wanted to mention how good this place is. It's still amazing value, £6.50 for the most delicious cod, chips, peas, buttered bread and a pot of tea. The batter is spot on, loads of delicious fish, chips just right and lovely peas. Great staff, will keep returning 👍 November 2023 - still the best Fish and chips in Rhyl 😊👍👍

The staff are always sooo welcoming! In all of my visits the girls have made a huge fuss of us! Nothing is too much trouble! Called in with a group of adults with learning disabilities, was served promptly, the staff took their time talking to them, nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and freshly cooked with large portions and more chips were given if requested. A bargain at less than £30 for 5 of us, that was 2x small fish and chips and 3x regular fish and chips with mushy peas, bread and butter and a drink each. Staff very friendly

I went to the town fryer because Les and Rita’s was shut, I can only say how surprised I was the fish was massive, the chips were just right and the whole meal was delicious My family had Les and Rita’s when it was The Dolphin in the late 70s so I know what to look for not just the taste and presentation. The food, service and atmosphere are second to none, do your taste buds a favour and try the best for less 🦋

A group of us called in here for a bite to eat before we left rhyl to head back to the west midlands . The food was good for the price we paid less than half the price we'd have paid back home . The lady serving us was happy and cheerful The atmosphere was good and the lady that served us even played along with the banter . We will definitely be calling in here again. The only downside is no roe 😂

We went to the town fryer today on the recommendation from a neighbour and it was just as she said the food was the best value for money in wales, we had the fish and chips special the staff were all very welcoming and friendly and the service was quick and food fresh and hot. we will definitely be going back again.

Honestly cannot rate this chippy enough on all levels, staff, food, hygiene all 5* if I had to reccomend one place to anyone it would be here. If you want real home cooked food in a great atmosphere you want to visit the town fryer.

When I rang and ordered and said I was coming by taxi they got everything ready so I didn't have to wait and my mum really enjoyed the food. We will becoming again and thank you 😊

Went here for tea. Ordered the fish special. Food came quick. Fish chips peas bread pot of tea. Hot, ovely and a great price of only £6.50.( double where I live.) . Also curry rice chips for £4.00..At this price I thought it might be a small portion. We were struggling to finish it but we did. Good value for money.

We called in today and it was a cold wet Saturday. As soon as we stepped into the place our hearts lifted. A warm welcome from the staff, who were all amazing, they came to our table, took our order and Brough out our tea and coffee and cutlery within a couple of minutes. We both ordered fish and chips with mushy peas. This was the best fish and chips that I can remember eating, the food was hot and tasted great, even the tea and coffee was delicious. Lovely atmosphere with attentive and cheerful staff. Probably one of the best dining in experiences we have had in a very long time. Superb value for money, both meals cost less than a single meal would have cost in some other similar places. You must come here and experience this place for yourself. Thank you to all the staff for a great meal and fantastic service.

The food was okay for what you pay for. Service was swift, it was packed for Sunday lunch. Staff were yelling loudly which took the shine off our visit.

Originally was going go to ritas but ended up walking past it, asked a lady where the chip shop was as didn't know there was another one.. glad we did walk past to find Mary's (fryer) cause it was really nice. And the lady that served us was lovely too. Definitely coming here again when we go rhyl instead of going to 'the restaurant'

Found this place by chance when we were visiting Rhyl on our holiday. The staff were friendly, the service was great and they went out of their way to provide a gluten free meal for my partner whom is coeliac. Food was tasty and fresh, has a nice relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and the price was very reasonable to boot! Thanks guys we were very impressed.

Place was untidy, service due to being busy in take out part was poor. Person shouting at staff in a loud voice that wasn't acceptable, felt uncomfortable.

Came across this place by just driving around. The place was heaving with ppl, always a good sign...the ladies there were so lovely and friendly, and service with a smile!! Amazing curry sauce, very happy with the fish and chips and very happy kids too! Good honest quality food, very reasonable prices, highly recommended.

Ignore the hygiene ratings the owner says its due to clerical issues. The food from this Rhyl chippy is fab. Salt of the earth friendly staff. Great value fish chips n peas for £4.00 all cooked fresh to order take away. Despite being called a ‘small’ it was definitely not small. You can eat in as well but the place was full.

Good old fashioned chippy, not the cleanest place in the world but staff really friendly and fish Nd chips were good.

Everything was absolutely wonderful! Great food, big portions for small prices, and a homely atmosphere.

Just happened on this little gem when passing one day, hubby said do you fancy fish n chips so I went and we had cod and chips eaten in our car .the price was right and the meal delicious.. lovely friendly lady served us .batter just right on the fish and the chips non soggy

Absolutely fantastic food service and price. I am recovering from oesophagus cancer and have issues with what I can eat and only very small amounts. They let me order a child's portion and go over and above to acomidate my needs. Brilliant staff . Mary to owner is allway at hand working along side her staff. Had Sunday lunch there for the first time last week. It was brilliant and I don't know how she does it for the price. Well done from a very satisfied family . We will be back with all our visitors we have Coming through out the year WELL DONE

Welcoming and friendly staff, nice place, food was really nice and value for money. Would go again for sure.
