Dunswell Yorkshire Country Women had a great lunch at The Tiger Inn. 22 of use were catered for a 2 course lunch. I would highly recommend the food, service and the setting. This very traditional pub is a fabulous place for a small family meal out or a group gathering. Excellent service and extremely friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble

Tried booking for 1 pm but lady on the phone said no tables available. We finally sorted a table for seven @ 2-30 pm. Table sorted , drinks ordered, plenty of warning meals could be delayed. No problem the pub was very full. Fish and chips x 3 1 beef roast dinner 1 gammon roast dinner 1 scampi and chips. Meals finally came out together. We all enjoyed the food. More drinks . Decent price for the food. Will definitely return

We finally visited with friends. On arrival the pub was packed! All staff working hard and always so accommodating and nice. Most of us enjoyed the Sunday roast, huge Yorkshire pudding, great choice of delicious veg and then some great desserts to choose from. It was a superb lunch and we shall we back to visit again soon. Thank you!

Well..if I needed to, I could sum the Sunday lunch here with one word.. "Spectacular"! But that would be a shame.. so let me tell you.. this is easily the best Sunday lunch I've had for as long as I remember.. the quality of the produce was outstanding..and the team in the kitchen certainly knows what to do with them! Everything was absolutely delicious! But that's not the whole picture.. the atmosphere at the Tiger is really lovely..very friendly warm and welcoming.. a nice buzz about the place.. no dusty library Sunday dinner here! The waiting staff were particularly good.. especially Ben who cleared our table.. and Theo for his cheeky disposition! I can safely say this is my new favourite place for Sunday lunch and we will definitely be back!

My family celebrated my 60th birthday at the Tiger Inn, Beverley, last Sunday. The Sunday roast dinner was excellent, everyone enjoyed, and there were 16 of us! All family members said they will look forward to returning when they are next visiting Beverley. A huge thanks to the chef for the fabulous food and to Ella for really making a special effort for all of my family. See you again soon.

We came to the tiger on 14/02/24 and we were blown away, the menu looked fantastic and couldn’t wait for the food to arrive. We chose from the valentines set menu and couldn’t believe the value for money, Well we was not disappointed the food was fantastic everything so perfectly cooked and can honestly say haven’t been served that quality of food in some Michelin star local restaurants! The service was fantastic for the whole evening from the front of house team namely darker haired girl called ‘Liv’. The chefs are absolutely amazing the food is cooked to perfection and they are a credit to the Tiger!! Well done all, can’t wait to return on Mother’s Day!!

Had the most amazing Sunday Dinner. The best I’ve ever had . Myself and partner had the beef , it was cooked to perfection ! The homemade Yorkshire pudding and abundance of vegetables. Extra gravy without having to ask. The service was amazing by all the staff , welcoming & attentive. It has become our local. Can’t wait to try the new menu.

Was hoping this place was as good as some of the better reviews but, here goes: Reception and waitress service - good. Ladies were helpful, happy and attentive. Menu - offers two price bands. Cheaper version for smaller meals. Seemed a decent array and not an over abundance to confuse choosing. Meals value - these are more expensive than the website menu by £1 per meal! Steak pie - £14.95, Scampi - £14.50, small scampi - £10.95 Meals quality - Scampi - 9 pieces, tartar sauce, salad and chips. Scampi overcooked. Small scampi - 5 pieces, tartar sauce, salad, chips. Scampi overcooked. Steak and Ale pie - with creamy, buttery mash, vegetables, rich gravy. Mash pretty bland and dry, meat very dry, limited gravy not enough to make the meal moist enough. Pastry pretty bullett proof and the vegetables were not good with some cold and undercooked. Drinks - Wainrights bitter, 2 x carlsberg. Good. Total - £48.65. Sorry, although the service, beers and the ambience was pretty good, the meals were less than average and overpriced for the quality. Simple fayre but overcooked, dry, some cold. Quite easily this place could be scoring 8/9 out of 10 but work to do in our opinion, so think the rating at 2 stars is an honest review. Would we go back or recommend the Tiger? Not at the moment.

I naively thought I could walk into this place with my family and get a free table on a weekend. I honestly didn’t realise how popular this place was for food! The girls behind the bar were so helpful they even rearranged tables so we could not only fit in but sit together. Fair play to you when it’s so busy. They were very funny and helpful all day. It’s horrible to say but they are well drilled but cheerful. The food was incredible. I had the Pate’ which was fantastic for starter followed by the fish and chips. I really didn’t expect it to be so big and it was delicious. My friend had a steak pie and they wouldn’t stop raving about it. Our vegetarian friend (I know) had the Vegan Pie and she rates it as the best she’s had. The chefs are clearly fantastic at what they do and it’s a shame we didn’t get to thank them but they must have been working hard. If you want good food and friendly staff give it a go. Special shout out to the dark haired waitress who saved us from a Vegan disaster!

Im so disappointed to be writing this review as the food and service at the tiger has always been excellent I have been coming here for about 8 years brought friends ...kids...mum and dad and I am not normally one to complain....If its nice will let you know...only if its really bad I will complain...I booked a table for 4 on Saturday evening for 7.30...we walked into the bar at 8.35 the place was not busy so thought we would have a drink first...we where met by a surly faced young lady who said your late you need to go straight to your table awful attitude...we all looked at each other then thought we best do as we are told...this young lady proceeded to be rude and surly all through the evening ...the young man serving us however was polite and friendly ...now for the food the mushrooms to start and the others had prawn cocktail...the mushrooms ive got to say where delicious...then unfortunately the mains came...the stk pie was ok...the fish was covered in thick brown batter and had been cooked in dirty fat...the fish inside was ok but a lot of the batter was left on the plate...the fish and chips used to be beautiful from here...I unfortunately chose lasagne which was tasteless slop...definitely no pasta in there ...I then had to complain to said waitress who replied it is lasagne its gluten free so its meant to be like that...attitude disgraceful...I said I cant eat this ...oh I will tell the chef...no sorry ...then she comes back with the same surly face and attitude and says do you want something else...I replied no thankyou...A few minutes later a young man was hovering around the door way...I asked are you the manager...yes he replied ...can I have a word...Ive heard about the lasagne he said ... I said its not just the lasagne its your rude member of staff...anyway what a lovely polite young man he was...he couldnt apologise enough...he offered all four of us a free Sunday lunch which we declined but the cost of my starter and main was taken off the bill...I would really like this young man to succeed in this business its a pity poor staff let him down...unfortunately I wont be returning to Tiger I would sooner spend my money elsewhere...

We held my Fathers wake at the Tiger inn and the care and attention we received from the staff from when we first booked was so good . We booked the Buffet menu and they happily made amendments for us and the amount of sandwiches, quiche sausage rolls scotch eggs and chips that they provided was such good value for money . Thank you to the staff who took care of us today

My friend and I arrived and we were taken to the dog room and I refused this table as we didn’t want to sit with the dogs there did find us another table in the front room when we have been before I was always asked if I was bringing a dog the food was good the staff need to smile a bit more and be more friendly

My family and friends visited the Tiger Inn on sunday 21 January for Sunday lunch. 4 of us chose from the roast menu and the other 2 had fish and chips. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Those of us who had the lunch chose Beef, Pork and Turkey, together with an extensive choice of vegetables, all perfectly cooked. I can honestly say that this was one of the best Pub Sunday lunches that I had ever eaten: my pork was delicious and came in thick slices. Those who had the Beef and Turkey said the same. The 2 who had the fish and chips also said it was delicious. All of our meals were so filling (in the nicest possible way) that we declined a pudding, which is very unusual for my wife. It was a great experience all round at a very decent price. Next time we are in Beverley we will come back again and I would highly recommend the Tiger Inn to anyone who either lives around Beverley or those just visiting. A real treat !

Came for Sunday lunch around Christmas time and it was the best roast in Beverley !! Very kid and dog friendly the staff were so welcoming and attentive. Would definitely recommend to anyone who fancies a hearty and reasonably priced meal.

My friends and I have been to The Tiger several times for lunch just recently and the food had been excellent. So we had no hesitation in booking for Xmas lunch. That was a mistake! I don’t know if something had gone wrong in the kitchen but the meal was a disaster. The sprouts were burned black but still like bullets, the roast potatoes must have been reheated several time as the skins were like leather & couldn’t be cut & the stuffing was inedible (1 inch rock like cube) The turkey, mash & veg were fine but only just warm. We did have a word with the waitress & said how disappointed we were considering we’d had such good food before. We did make ‘light’ of it but I would have expected someone to speak with us but that didn’t happen. We will go again but not for a ‘festive’ meal.
