We had a fabulous Sunday lunch here to celebrate my husband's birthday. Food was excellent and service attentive. Despite being very busy, and obviously popular, we weren't hurried at all, which was delightful. Would highly recommend

Attended a private event Friday evening. Staff incredibly attentive. Wesley and Sarah stood out.Large group and yet meals were individualized. Had one of the best risottos ever, original. Sticky toffee pudding , mango sorbet outstanding. Thank you all, a memory to remember, from Vancouver.

Excellent as always. Went for a special family meal. All dishes were fabulously flavoursome. Tandoori Carrot and Orange Cake were amazing.

Not your average Sunday Roast! We all enjoyed the roast beef (beautifully pink) with wonderfully fluffy yorkshire puddings! The Cauliflower Cheese was without doubt the best I have ever eaten, fantastically rich with cheese and mustard, an absolute must and the star of the show! Service was excellent - friendly, informal, and just the right amount of attentive! Puddings were equally good. Not cheap but definitely worth it…make sure you book this soon! 😋

I need to apologise for taking so long to write this review... and yes, I am talking "years"... guess I have been too selfish and simply indulging in everything The Three Oaks has to offer by myself (and more recently with my fiancée). This is hands down the best gastropub you will find in at least a 5 mile radius (and likely a heck of a lot more)! Beautiful, cosy and well designed venue married with (i) the most friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff (a special shout out to WESLEY), (ii) incredible food & (iii) a wine list fit for the finest sommelier! Despite living >25 mins away, this is my "LOCAL" spot for amazing food, wine and ambience! Can't recommend this place enough! <3

Loved the food and hospitality. Nice vibe to the place, too. The Horlicks cremeux was the highlight for me! Will definitely go back.

Food was excellent. The Christmas turkey and Christmas tart - just the best. Highly recommended.

10/10 for the roast. First time visit. Excellent service, could see manager (lady in red) was on it and had staff well trained. Everything about the food was delicious and the whole restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, well to do but not pretentious. Will definitely be back.

The best Sunday roast we've had for a long time. A nice atmosphere and polite and attentive staff. I keep thinking about that roast!! Can't wait to return.

A kids friendly place and the staff were really attentive and helpful. I had to make a reservation far in advance because it's really popular, especially around Christmas time. The food is fantastic and the Christmas decorations around the place were lovely.

Excellent quality, service and pricing point is as reasonable as you'll find in this area. Recommended if you’re looking for something ‘special’ without the cost.

Fabulous food and service, this is one of the best pubs locally. It's got a large restaurant and a nice informal bar area for drinks and food. Well worth a visit.

Had a lovely evening until it came to the bill …we were given the bill with 8 tiny petit fours (party of 8) My husband asked for some more petit fours (we’d spent a considerable amount of money …in excess of £650) only to be told NO ..we pointed out to the staff how much money we had spent and it wasn’t a ‘big ask’ only to be told we were being aggressive!! I spoke to the manager, who apologised lamely ..such a shame as would have returned but not now, customer service appalling

Popped in on a whim after dropping the kids to Scout camp. So happy we did. Excellent wine cellar and fantastic food served by highly enthusiastic, empathetic and kind people. We will be back minus the car next time!!

We went for a Sunday Roast today. We sat in an outside Pod and we had the Pork Belly and the Roast Trout. The Pinot Grigio was good and the Crème Brûlée and Sticky Toffee Pudding were excellent The service was absolutely first class and nothing was to much trouble. Would highly recommend 👍

Lovely place ; vegetarian houses limited; portion size terrible! 17:50£ for less than an inch size circular gnocchi six of them served in total in measly sauce as main course was frankly a joke! Starters of beetroot was warm and nice .

The Three Oaks offers a fantastic gastronomic experience. Every plate of food was delicious and the cocktails were some of the best we have ever had! The staff were excellent which made our evening all the more enjoyable with their attentiveness. Wonderful food, great atmosphere, would highly recommend!

This is a real gem. Lovely gastropub food beautifully cooked with excellent sized portions. Engaging and welcoming front of house and waiting staff. The restaurant was almost full but that did not affect food quality or service. Highly recommended.

Boyfriend and I had the set menu with slightly different dishes but everything was absolutely delicious for such a great price. Staff were equally lovely (didn’t get their names but they were working on 5th aug at 1:30!) Will definitely come back again.

The food is fantastic! My favourite item on the menu is the Miso Caramel Glazed Aubergine - one of the best things I've ever eaten, and I'd honestly keep going back just for that dish. They used to do a poached pear & cheese starter (see attached picture) that was also spectacular, but I didn't see it on the menu the last time I went (please bring it back?) The staff are all friendly and welcoming.

Food was very average, usually it’s great but was disappointed this time. The vegetables were raw. Also came to pay the bill and wanted to pay cash however when I paid I was told that my change would not be given. Very disappointing, they only want to take card payments.service was great though and they did take on board the low quality of food and took a roast dinner of the bill.

Excellent Sunday roast and probably the best pub roast I’ve eaten. The staff are all very friendly and super efficient.

The Three Oaks is our local, just a short walk away, we don't go there that often and I have just been reminded why. It is unwelcoming and doesn't have a very good atmosphere. There are lots of young staff who are friendly but the manager is surly and offish. such a shame as is it so close, and could be a great pub.

The service was excellent and staff were extremely friendly but the portion size of the food is tiny. I get its an up market gastro pub but the gnocci dish is literally 7 bits of gnocchi on some leaves for £17.50

The Three Oaks is superbe! The food we ordered was all served at a high standard. The Sunday roast (pork belly) was delicious and of generous portion. The mocktails were refreshing and tasty. The service was excellent and the staff were friendly and professional. We had cherry parfait for dessert and it was smooth and delightful. A perfect English pub!

Nice gastro pub, good enough for special occasions also. Good staff if inexperienced, mainly young people but enthusiastic and friendly. Some great dishes and a good steak night Wednesday. Wine list OK but tip end a bit pretentious and not as good as they think it is. But overall very good? Worth the 30 minutes drive, but not too often.

Came here for a birthday dinner and came once before for a roast. Today got the Chateaubriand sharing steak (all were 25% off) also had the special starter of crab. Both were absolutely amazing. Delicious food beautifully cooked with lovely presentation. Had a nice large table and drinks were also good. Highly recommend

The food was great. Our table in a window alcove and opposite the bar was disturbed almost continuously by the clash of glasses, and what sounded like ice being dispensed from a machine, such that from time to time, conversation was impossible. Service was not brilliant either, certainly on the slow side.

Food is ok at best. Wine is excessively expensive. There are mice running around the tables. Not worth what we paid

This is a lovely pub for a Sunday roast. Starters were a bit mixed - some of the family thought they were expensive for what they were - but everyone loved the roast!

Such a memorablelunch experience for all four of us. The food from the a la carte menu, wines and service were all exceptional. Nothing was disappointing. It is a real gem of a restaurant. I will be back for sure!

Nice place with a great wine list, the starters were excellent but the main course could have been better. Wife has the monk fish that arrived undercooked and was sent back, when it returned it was evident that it went into the microwave to cook the fish through as the sauce had split. The steak was OK, for the price I have had far better. Credit to the staff for not charging for the undercooked monk fish! I heard great things about this place but I don’t think I’ll return as there are many other places to try in the area.

There were 19 of us and Wesley managed everything so well. Wonderful food, great service and really kind staff with regards to my allergies. We go back here time and again because you cannot fault this place. Always brilliant, good wine and a lovely amibience.

Had a lovely meal here with my wife. Large pub restaurant very nicely presented and felt quite contemporary but homely. Food was absolutely delicious, we had the herb crusted hake and the Ox Cheek. But was really made the evening for us was the attentive service, we never once had seek out a waitress, one was always there just when your needed them, but we never felt rushed either. We are not very local, but will definitely visit again and have already recommended it to family.

Wow, we'd been told about this years ago, but covid got in the way of our planned visits! It was seriously worth the wait! The food was excellent...by far the best 'pub food' I've ever had! In fact, it was probably the best restaurant food I've ever had! They catered for my awkward dietary requirements without even blinking, so I was able to enjoy the range of dishes that everyone else had...my only complaint is that I was too full to order the vegan cheesecake dessert (!), so 'settled' for the heavenly vegan chocolate sorbet instead...which was the best ever! We're already planning our next visit!!

A great place that's well worth visiting. Inventive menu mixing favourite pub food with twists. Lightly battered squid with pickled cucumber was crisp and fresh, roasted chicken breast marinated in lemon and thyme was as list as any chicken I've ever had...stick toffee pudding with roasted hazelnuts and an oat crumble was exceptional... First visit here - what a treat!! Unusual menu - really beautifully cooked food, not too much choice, great staff, lovely Decor, reasonably prices - what more can I say?

My aunt/uncle and grandparents come here often for family occasions. Before last week I last came here in 2019, and from what I remember there’s now a much better selection of vegan/vegetarian options! All interesting and creative, not like your usual boring veggie options! We all enjoyed our food (although the meat eaters said there’s were a little salty). The service was brilliant. very friendly and attentive staff, food came out quickly.

My second time back here and still love this place. The food and service are fantastic - extremely helpful and friendly staff. The menu changes regularly with new exciting dishes full of flavour. One of my personal favourites; the stem ginger beetroot side! Everything we had here was lovely on both occasions. I would highly recommend their in-house sorbets - the chocolate sorbet and blackcurrant sorbet are beautiful - would take a pint home if I could!

We ended up coming here after being turned away from another local pub. As soon as we walked in everyone was extremely friendly and attentive. Our waitress who served us was fantastic and helped us choose a wine to go with our steak, which was yummy. A very welcoming pub with great food. Would highly recommend

I will not be surprised if in the very near future the Three Oaks will be a Michelin star rated pub. Their offer is well above standard; with a menu and wine list being a sweet symphony.

Nice atmosphere, service was good but the food was bland, the portion was small and the sauce was very thin almost like water.

Several visits since moving to the area. It's a pleasure to bring any of our visitors to The Three Oaks. Certainly a point of pride for any local. Staff are always lovely any day of the week, busy or quiet. Being fair, the staff make the experience. October menu is excellent, highly recommended.

Had a brilliant dinner at The Three Oaks. Mains were delicious and the presentation looked smart. The sticky toffee pudding was incredible, an amazing pecan flavour ice cream. The cinnamon apple vanilla martini was also delicious. Friendly and professional staff.

Nice setting, really friendly staff but felt a little rushed. The Ribeye dish had an underlying burnt taste (may have been the Jus), which did spoil the experience slightly. Didn't want to raise it because it felt like they wouldnt have time to fix it! Other dishes were great - Starters: Bread 8/10 Burrata 8/10 Lamb Croquette 6/10 Main: Ribeye - 5/10 Aubergine - 8/10 Verdict: Might be back to give it a second whirl!
