The Thatch is one of my regular weekly stops. The sandwiches and desserts are simply fantastic. Service is excellent and very friendly. Even in these times of Covid the Thatch has taken great measures to safely accommodate diners in the intimate space. The only, and definitely only thing that is a negative is the coffee, and I mean this entirely in the spirit of constructive criticism. It's often sour which can be the result of under-extracting or too much of a course grind. On the milk side of things they often overheat/burn the milk. The sound of repeated plunging of the frothing wand is another indicator of bad coffee making technique and result is large foam bubbles rather than the micro-bubble foam necessary in a perfectly made latte. If they brush up on their coffee making skills (hint: bring in a professional barista to train) then my rating will definitely go up to a five. Overall, we love the Thatch and it's merry crew and will be coming back time and time again!

Just as the Tourist season is about to launch, prices have been increased. It doesn’t seem that long since the last hike. This place is lovely and has a regular set of locals that keep the place afloat all year round. It seems short sighted that for a few months of Toirist-season gain, the Thatch may lose out on some of their all year round regulars who are being priced out.

This is one of a kind. It's a historic thatched building in a quaint Irish town the like of which is disappearing in the modern world with the drones of starbucks and costa coffee houses. This is old style history on the walls, atmospheric, gentle, relaxing. The menu is lovely, with a strong Irish theme but also a strong Mediterranean twist. Eg mouth watering apple tart (home made), thick, traditional blended vegetable soup...but also bulky paninis/wraps with ingredients such as basil, goats cheese, caramelized onion etc (if my memory serves me correctly). There's a hot special which changes daily I think and a pecan pie to die for. It's a real Irish treat and great to see it do well as it's not common any more to get this family run , traditional service. Great coffee too :) I recommend the drive here from Enniskillen by the way. It's got to be the one of the most stunning drives in Ireland esp the lake views and the Scenic routes on the way (diversions). Maghoo cliff is worth a visit before or after The Thatch :)

Quaint interior, friendly service & excellent food-I would definitely recommend this establishment for the weary traveller.Overall a most enjoyable experience - I would recommend the Blueberry & Cinnamon Home-made scones. For overseas travellers, this is real Irish Hospitality.

We've been driving over and hour to go to the Thatch for years now. As a cafe connessuier from the states I have been in some pretty fantastic places but the Thatch in Belleek is a standout. Dining beneath the beams of this old cottage, immersed in the atmosphere of old Ireland; it feels more like I'm a guest at Bilbo Baggin's hobbit house on Bagshot Row. The sandwiches are homemade, rustic and delicious with a dollop of their finely chopped cole slaw. And there is nothing to compliment their prefectly brewed coffee better than a piece of chocolate cake. Light and not overly sweet, it fiinishes an afternoon, after-walk meal beautifully. Thank you Thatch for the wonderful memories, more to come!

We visited this charming coffee shop whilst holidaying in Fermanagh last month. The original features of this cottage and the warm friendly staff make this a truly wonderful experience not to mention the delicious blueberry and cinnamon scones that are truly the best I have ever tasted!

It was cool and wet outside. We were nearly soaked through when we came upon The Thatch Coffee Shop. Small and neat, this is right on the main street in Belleek. We walked in and immediately felt the warmth of the fire and the atmosphere. This is a small place, just seven or eight small tables, with lots of exposed wood, a low ceiling and reminded my of a place where one might see Elves or Hobbits. The three of us ordered a cappuccino which was prepared and served beautifully and it tasted even better! What a treat! While we did not order food, what we saw coming out if the kitchen looked and smelled wonderful.Although there were only a handful of folks there upon our arrival, by the time we left, the place was filling up and our table was taken almost before we left. This was even better than going to the Belleek Pottery, in my opinion, and much more affordable!

The Great Northern receptionist (from Belleek Sarah) recommended we had our lunch here. It is the oldest thatched cottage in Fermanagh operating as a business. The staff were extremely friendly and looked quaint in their old fashioned aprons, made the experience really homely. We ordered and the food was served quickly and was delicious home made vegetable soup with warm rolls and a gorgeous club sandwich, soft drinks were not served in individual bottles or cans, so therefore seemed a bit flat (small complaint) followed by fab Lattes and chocolate squares and moreish blueberry scones with homemade jam and cream. All very reasonable priced the Thatch seems to have a local custom as well as visitors and all seem to love it. A local actually gave us his seat so that we didnt have to wait and chatted another table of customers until a table became available. First Class

We travelled East to West going to Donegal and Decided to once again break our Journey at The Thatch Belleek, the home of Belleek Pottery. This is a small Cafe with clean rustic interior and frequented by locals and visitors. The Waiting staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about the local Area.We selected Toasted Sandwiches and Coffee from a good Menu which when served was Hot and delicious as was the excellent quality Coffee. We have not eaten a substantial meal at the Thatch, however looking at he servings to our fellow Diners and their cleaned plates can only conclude the food was also excellent. This is an excellent small Cafe to break a journey or have Lunch before visiting the Nearby Internationally known Belleek Pottery. We will continue to stop at this little place when Journeying through Fermanagh to County Donegal.

There is only one problem with the Thatch........It's so popular you're lucky to get a table! They do a fine light lunch, soup, wraps, panninis, etc., in unique surroundings. Service is great too........oh, and there's a fishing tackle shop out the back for the guys.Parking is right at the door on the busy main street. It's the best little place in town, and if you can't get in; try the Pottery cafe as our second choice..

We always enjoy a stop at the Thatch when we visit family in nearby Garrison. The small coffeehouse is adorable--very cozy. The coffee options are extensive and the baked goods and sandwiches are well prepared. I read this is the only thatch roof establishment in County Fermanagh!

Don't really want to share this but if you are ever visiting Belleek to go the pottery etc. don't bother having coffee there its not very nice. Instead go up the main street and call into the Thatch (easy enough found!!) The best food around. All home made. Pots of white coffee, homemade jam. The old stove is lit and all very cosy & relaxed. Avoid popular times (lunchtime etc) as it is very small and can get very busy. Highly recommend the baked potatoes with spicy mince. The lemon dizzle cake...............

Great homely food.. I had a bowl of home made vegetable soup and then a baked potato with frying mince and Greek yogurt . Both were very cheap considering the large portions and quality of the food. This Tatch cottage has a great local feel to it, and is very well decorated in the inside, with a lovely fishing tackling shop beside it. Amazing atmosphere. Full marks

Three of us dined here one night while travelling by boat. All three of us ordered different items and everyone was very happy with their meal. It is a traditional Irish pub. You won't get great views, but if you want a good meal then this is a nice find. The staff were friendly and efficient.

Sunday lunch at Becketts was a real treat. The food was excellent served by very friendy and welcoming staff. One of the best lunches weve had in ages. Beef and Yorkshire pudding was melt in the mouth. Vegetables cooked to perfection. My apple crumble was sensational. The 2nd time weve eaten in the Hotel it wont be the last. Give Becketts a try if you like real quality cooking served to perfection. Thank you to all the staff who helped my husband have a great birthday treat.

The food was well executed and was tasty. I felt that there could have been a little more variety. At 50 I was about 20 years younger than most of the other diners. It was a little pricey. I was there in February so it was dark. I suspect it would be a lovely setting when bright outside.
