Best Thai in the area - only one that actually uses apple- and pea-aubergines for that great authentic taste. Great Green Chicken & Green Fish curry take aways, with those essential traditional ingredients.

Popped in for some Thai ingredients and could not have received better service. The owner is amazing. Super helpful and knowledgeable. He gave loads of recommendations and tips and even demonstrated how to make gyoza! What a culinary adventure. Will definitely shop here again.

Lovely little Thai restaurant with great food. The owner was very informative and really made us feel welcome. We found out that he sources pastes and sauces from Thailand and sells them to supermarkets. We ended up buying some and using them to cook Thai dishes at home. Can honestly say that everything so far has tasted great. Will definitely be coming back to this gem.

Been ill ever since I ate here.

The restaurant itself is small - 6 tables neatly placed amongst all the thai food supplies they sell - noodles, rice, paste and fresh goods. When we sat down the owner kindly informed us they were 'bring your own' and told us about the off license a couple of doors down. He brought a bottle opener and some glasses for the beers we inevitably purchased!

We only found this little gem of a place recently through a recommendation from friends. The best Thai food we have had and the whole family agree.

Great food - it maybe slightly more expensive than other Thai restaurants but worth it!

Good restaurant to have your dinner on your way back home when you don't feel like cooking, but I would go elsewhere in London if I want to relish a truly authentic Thai cuisine.

Mixed feelings about The Thai Grocer. The food is often nice but the older gentleman owner is unbearable, rude and opinionated. Unfortunately I stopped dining here a while back after growing tired of his regular behaviour in and around the establishment

Mmm definitely would go again, it’s FABULOUS!!! I’ve had a few Thai dishes which of course doesn’t make me an expert but this particular place serves quality dishes, not just your average Thai.

Out of all the local Thai restaurants this surprised me. Recommend and slightly pricey I expected so much more. From the strange welcome of the cockney chap, explaining that you can't order dishes to share just set meals all with rice to the explanation that the concept of ordering multiple dishes to share between you is an abstract one which only the rare few ever order, left me a little perturbed. In short, if you want to have a nice sociable meal where you can share dishes and make your own choice in whether you want rice, try the Green Curry down the road or Amaranth nearer the station. Much nicer and far better service and hospitality in general.

This place satisfies all my craving for Thai food, love the food, the staff is amazing, has a great vibe of this place.

I visited the restaurant with my partner midweek and we were lucky enough to get a table without reserving. Having seen how popular it is we will reserve next time just to avoid risking disappointment. This restaurant served up the most delicious and fresh Thai food I have ever had in London (and I’ve admittedly tried many). The owner makes you feel like you’re his personal guest and they were accommodating of any tweeks to the menu if you have a request. Finally, I have found my go-to Thai restaurant when craving authentic food and a relaxed atmosphere. An easy 5 stars!

Can’t speak highly enough of the quality of Thai food you get here. Every dish tastes fresh and full of flavour - having sampled nearly half the menu now I can’t believe I haven’t found a dish that disappoints! Highly recommend as one of the best Asian food restaurants in SW London. And you get a great deal on the price too. Good quality, reasonably priced, what more could you want.

Love this place. Great food and the owner is lovely. Highly recommend the pad Thai and squid for starter. Need to book as it gets quick busy. I find other BoB places such as kaosan in Clapham junction rush you to get out after an hour, here you can relax without the stress of eating quickly.

It is the real gem tucked away in Garrett Lane. The food is delicious and affordable. The owner is very welcoming. They do not have a license for wine so bring your own wine and beer. There are not many tables so it is advisable to book. You can do this on line and the menu is on line too,

Completely disagree with the poor rating below. Service was impeccable from the owner ‘Kwen’ who really cares about serving great food. Started with duck gyoza and salt & pepper squid. Super. Coz I’m greedy I had a Tom Ka chicken to follow. Rich, deep flavours - so good. We then shared a cashew prawn stir fry and garlic peppercorn chicken (with a zingy Szechuan kick). Fresh, clean flavours served up in a personable atmosphere. We’ve lived in the area for five years. Can’t believe we’ve only just discovered this place. We’ll be back.

We lived a couple streets over from this little gem. It became a staple for both our date nights out and takeaways at home. Extremely clean place as well, you can tell that it is run with exceptional pride and care.

This is the best Thai food we have ever eaten. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and looked after throughout our evening. The service was quick but not imposing. The food was absolutely delicious. We would highly recommend this Thai restaurant.

I have to say I totally disagree with the recent 1 star review. The food here is authentic and superb and very good value. It’s also consistently excellent which is important. And the service is always done with a smile!

Muy mala experiencia. La calidad de la comida era muy decepcionante. El Dim Sum eran como comida congelada de un supermercado barato. Puede probar la comida procesados utilizados en los Dim Sum. Como principal pedí un Pad Thai, llegó en una presentación agradable, pero los fideos eran muy duras. No era sabroso. Además, la persona que estaba atendiendo se molestó porque pedimos un comenzó y dijo: mejor comer rápido porque la Mesa está reservado para más tarde. La comida es espantosa y servicio.

Very disappointing. We went after reading all the good reviews but it was possibly the worst Thai food we had in London in recent years. Service nonattentive at all, noone welcomed us, sat us down or paid any attention to us for the first 10 mins. We ordered main first, after I wanted to order starter I was told that table is booked soon suggesting that I may not have enough time for starter. Ordered it anyway and although in the menu is written that dim sums are made in the house - they didn't taste like it all. They were without any flavour and meet was very poor quality. Laksa was without much of the flavour too, but way too much chillii in it as if someone tried to boost the lack of flavour but spicing it up. Pad Thai flavourless too, noodles not cooked long enough, believe the owners had a big table booked for the birthday party and paid all attention to them not caring about the rest of us. Definitely will not be coming back.

Very bad experience. The quality of the food was very disappointing. The Dim Sum were like frozen food from a cheap supermarket. You could taste the processed food used in those Dim Sum. As a main I ordered a Pad Thai, it came in a nice presentation but the Noodles were very hard. It wasn't tasty at all. In addition, the person who was attending got upset because we ordered a started and said: better eat it quick because the table is booked for later. Horrible food and service.

The food at the Thai Grocer can’t be faulted. Everything is beautifully cooked, delicately flavoured, a wide choice and wonderfully presented. I think I’m correct in saying that the owner’s family own a food business in Thailand and many of the herbs, spices and ingredients are imported from Thailand giving an extra degree of authenticity and an edge over many other places.

Horrible service. My pregnant wife got there 15mins before me and never came to the table or offered a drink or anything. I arrived, still no table service!! So we left and said why we left to the owner, and didn't say anything but "ok then". Wouldn't recommend it at all.

The food is excellent, some of the best Thai food you will eat. The family that run the Thai grocer are friendly, professional and very helpful, they always make you feel welcome. The food is always cooked with fresh ingredients and is consistent. They even have a little shop inside where you can buy ingredients to make your own Thai food. I have taken friends, family, wives, girlfriends and work colleagues here and they have all loved it. A hidden gem.

This Thai Restaurant is a little gem. The food is freshly prepared and really tasty. It is also reasonably priced. We received a nice friendly welcome from the owner, who is a lovely person and from now on, each time we visit our son, who is a regular customer here, we shall be going again. It is a treat not to be missed.

Thai green curry with a flavour of Thailand, well balanced flavours and attentive staff. One should be early around lunchtime as it's filling up fast.

Love this place, it's so reasonably priced and it's byo aswell, it's a win win the owner accommodated us very well as we had late comers and had their food ready as they arrived . Highly recommended!! Will come back every month.
