The Tea House,Larbert in Falkirk

Had high expectations for this place due to glowing recommendations. We ordered food for takeaway and was disappointed with the food - which were just 'meh' .... Place was super busy though.

Had a fantastic meal at The Tea House tonight. Our first visit after a recommendation. Beautifully presented tasty food and great service. We’ll definitely be returning! 😋

Excellent Chinese restaurant. Booking advisable as very popular as great food very reasonably priced: £14.50 for two courses £16.50 for three.

Delivery tonight, 29th March, 45 minutes late and chicken black bean inedible, chicken dry and tough, would not have again.

Best curry I’ve ever had. Try it duck mushrooms chicken king prawn curry was outstanding. Had fried rice noodles and salt and chilli chips with it to share. 10 out of 10

Five stars all the way,service excellent,food excellent,and the staff made us most welcome.

Ordered at 5pm, delivery advised by approximately 7.45. Finally arrived at 8.15, cold and chips soggy.

Tried a few take aways in the last few weeks, and they haven't tasted the same. One with excessive garlic, stodgy overcooked fried rice, and more veg than meat in one of their overpriced specials. It's a shame as the food when dining in is much better

Great place for a meal, great food with a wide selection of Chinese food, great service and brilliant atmosphere.

I ordered crab, but it was bitter and too salty. I couldn't eat it. and it cost £15.40. Garlic & Chilli seafood consisted of onions and peppers, very little seafood. For the high cost of dishes, you should cook better. I'm a little disappointed.

Food is definitely better if you sit in. Chineese food on take out not so much but extremely busy so can't be that bad.

As first timers here we weren't disappointed. Everything was exemplary. Will definitely be returning. Please do book a table if you go - they are phenomenally busy all the time.

Been a while since the last time I was there. Woh! it was busy, Forhot it was Saturday night. The staff and the service was really good. Food choices were varied and portions were big. Recommended.

As a coeliac it's very hard to get 100% gluten free safely handled food but the range the TeaHouse offer is superb with enormous portion sizes. Worth every penny.

Food was ok , service average , nice decor, but we felt rushed the whole time. They were rushing us out, from about half an hour in. After an hour and twenty mins they were pretty much telling us to leave . The rushed experience means I wouldn’t choose to ho back

Asked for a special fried rice, they gave me noodles, asked for a hot and sour soup they gave me a sweatcorn soup. Plus the waiter just ignores you. Never coming back again.

Good food and very pleasant staff, parking is a bit of an issue if busy, but that's because were lazy and dont like walking lol.

Would highly recommend, make sure you book in advance because it is THAT busy! We had our friend's birthday there and they allowed bringing a cake and brought it out and everything, was perfect! Thanks again, Tea House staff that my friend's birthday so special 😁

put in an order to collect at 5.30 the woman said they didn’t have it and we showed the confirmation email and she said they haven’t made the food so there’s nothing they can do and it will be another 1 hour wait. there was no resolution and the person at the collection was very rude and not accommodating at all

Awful customer service. 5t in que when answered phone they hung up won't be using service again shame on you

Food was delicious as always! As with previous visits, I just really wish the wait staff were less desperate to take your order when you arrive. We were asked 4 or 5 times in 5 minutes if we were ready to order! It really makes the whole ordering process feel frantic and stressful but after that is totally fine. Please chill out and let us actually have time to look at the menu before you ask what we want!

The restaurant has a modern and elegant ambiance that makes it perfect for a romantic dinner or a family gathering. I ordered the chicken satay and it was great. The staff was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, making sure that we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Waited over 3 hours for delivery. Food cold. Chow mein had minimal amount of beef. Overpriced. Business is clearly over trading as can’t manage demand effectively.

Excellent Service and the food is fantastic. Great Menu. Staff are great. Very busy when I was in but staff handled everybody's takeaway orders fantastically well and people who were visiting the restaurant were ushered through to their tables quickly with minimum fuss.

Good variety of dishes which were all very tasty. Efficient and friendly staff. Busy on a Friday evening - but the staff managed to sort out a table for us.

As it is our wedding anniversary we decided to treat ourselves by getting a takeaway. We haven't had one from the tea house for a while and to be honest I wasn't that all impressed. We both had beef curries that were bland. The salt and chilli squid was like rubber, the noodles were dry and the large pancake rolls tasted burnt. Normally the food is excellent but we felt that the food didn't reflect on the price we paid.

Just tried to book table for a Sunday night early for 4 adults and child and they’re asking for a deposit? Never asked for it before. Not great Tea House, only for large parties deposit should be paid. Won’t be back until that changes.

There are a very few non spicy main courses on the lunch time menu. Chicken in the pan pan coconut dish was tough. Lots of peppers in the dish. Music loud in restaurant and unhappy waitress didn't turn down the music when politely asked. Reading the menu over the music to a blind friend is far from ideal. Waiter who opened the door on the stroke of noon asked how many table was for. I was a bit surprised as there were two of us and noone else standing at the door. I said the last time I counted there were two of us.

Excellent Chinese restaurant, so many delicious dishes to choose from. Great atmosphere, staff are very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Portions sizes are big and food is well presented.

We have been to the Tea house quite a few times over the last few years and it never disappoints. Just wish they would open up a restaurant in Dunfermline 👍

Was looking for some place near the hospital for dinner and this place is excellent. Food was awesome, the staff are all friendly and helpful and the Chinese tea while we waited was a lovely touch. We'll definitely be back.

Went there on recommendation (you have book well in advance, thats the first good sign) They take a deposit on booking (second good sign) 5 of us plus grandchild and could not have been looked after better. Very attentive and friendly staff. Extensive menus (we had 3 to chose from) and mixed between them. We had starters, Crispy Duck then Mains. So glad our waitress changed my order for a 'whole' to a 'half' We wouldn't have got out the door othereise, VERY generous portions and VERY tasty! Expected to pay more, was pleasantly surprised by the bill, we will definitely go back, I'd get a season ticket, thats how good it was. Well done!! Ps Third and final good sign..... The amount of take away orders going out the door was eye-watering!!

It's OK. Not fantastic though ! Sat at table for 20 min before got asked what we would like to order . Then asked for gluten free menu which they then forgot to bring us . Starter was ribs .very tough seem to be cooked then sauce poured on top rather than cooked in sauce .sauce was a bit bland too . Mains was sweet an sour chicken . It was nicely cooked with crispy batter and would recommend it . Because of the wait and lack of service I probably wouldn't go back to be honest !

Lovely restaurant. Very busy, with people waiting for a table. Book in advance. Once we were seated, a man came to us and asked if we wanted some tea. We all said yes & wondered what we would get. It was a lovely lemon tasting tea & we wondered if it was to cleanse your palate. The orders & drinks were taken promptly. The food is delicious!! The staff are very attentive. I am told that the bill was reasonable, ( my birthday treat). I certainly would go back & thoroughly recommend the Tea House!

To be fair chose a wrong night to go because as soon as we entered this place it was just a huge wall of sound.and really busy.not good.though we dod not know that there was 2 separate birthday bookings.hence the noise.and because of this you felt that you were forgotten about even when it came to drinks. It took a while for a waiter to ask if we had ordered drinks.though itvwas understandable because they were so busy.i would like to go back on a quieter night .not thatbi expected a tuesday night bto be really busy

3rd time going here all of which has been a Sunday and there is always a que to get kmin which speaks volumes. You get free hot prawn crackers and Chinese tea 🍵, they give a little and get lots back. Food portions are very generous and all the food is amazing. Cant wait to go back. Service is cracking from start to finish also.
