The Tavern on the Bay in Isle of Anglesey

A large party of us had a get together for my sons birthday. At the bar we were greeted by Ewan who was lovely & friendly & served us with a lovely smile. At the table the food came out quickly & everyone agreed that everything was delicious. Young Elliw & all the serving staff were very pleasant & friendly & made the evening a pleasure.

A lovely little spot , very festive . Food great quality & tasty although served a little too quickly & we felt rushed. Service was hit & miss throughout with the exception of Molli . We had to chase up a couple of times for drinks , water & a coffee that was forgotten. Only Molli seemed to care about her customers & if it wasn’t for her the experience would have been a much lower rating . Molli is a star ⭐️

Another lovely meal (though the gammon was HUGE !!) we have never had a bad meal at this restaurant with views to die for, thank you to Chloe and Sophie for looking after us, it’s nice to have wait staff that are genuinely smiley and efficient , and as said by Arnie we’ll be back xx

Food was hot and tasty. I had the chicken on the special menu. And my husband had the wok crispy chicken and was full of flavour. Would definitely recommend and will he back very soon. Especially for the profiteroles 😁 Sophie and chloe are servers were pleasant and very attentive.

The food and service was amazing. Reid and Sophie were very hospitable and friendly. Also very helpful when suggesting food items, even with dietary requirements and extra items. Made our engagement enjoyable and would come back again.

Ate here for the first time in a year or so. It was a quiet evening so quite relaxing and peaceful. Food was excellent, though the sauce on the duck wrap tasted strange - like a hoisin gone wrong! We all had great meals can particularly recommend the Hot Seafood Platter and the Hake. The restaurant is in a great position overlooking Red Wharf Bay. Chloe was very helpful and pleasant.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch at the Tavern . The food and service was excelent . We were a big party of 14 and all the meals came out together with plenty of veg and extra Gravy . The staff Kirsty and Jade worked hard and made our night relaxed and enjoyable. Thank you will be back soon

Always loved a meal at Tavern on the Bay but were extremely disappointed with our visit this week. When booking a table online, I had requested a table with a sea view but when we arrived we were placed right next to another table and when asked if we could move for their sake and ours, no other tables were available but 80% of the restaurant was empty? Staff’s uniforms could do with being smartened up and nothing against families with young children eating out at all but not everyone wants to be sat right next to a young child in a highchair with food all over the chair and the floor. Maybe worth asking the customers where they’d like to sit during quieter seasons? We came for a catchup and enjoyable meal but really didn’t get that this time, really disappointed with where used to be our favourite place to eat.

On arrival we were given a window seat with a fantastic view of the beach and the Bay . We both picked the Vegetarian Nut Roast and when it arrived the plate looked really well presented with a side order of vegetables . Normally Veggie options are usually a let down and you start to think you’re a second class citizen but this was fantastic and I’d highly recommend it to any non meat eaters out there or anyone that just fancies a change . We were served by Chloe who was friendly , polite and looked after us throughout the meal and added to our enjoyable experience. . I picked up a Christmas menu on the way out and was a bit disappointed that the Nut Roast wasn’t an option as it would be an ideal Christmas meal for vegetarian as there’s plenty of meat choices for everyone else. I’d thoroughly recommend a meal here , great staff , great menu and in a superb location .

We go to here every time we visit Anglesey which is at least four times a year . The staff are brilliant and Sophie is unbelievable she always remembers us and makes a fuss . The food is always excellent and the views are amazing....

One of my favourite places to eat usually very enjoyable but not on my last visit had Tavern Burger onion rings cold had to be replaced! And bacon/gammon so tough could not chew!!! Will think twice before returning
