The Taphouse in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Lovely place. Great staff. Had surf and turf. The steak was great but the lobster wasn't. Wished I'd had a poke bowl with steak now. The lobster was too strong. Would go back though.

I visited it with two friends. The interior is unusual and fascinating with all sorts of items on the walls and beautiful special effect lighting. The sound system was excellent with a great choice of music. But best of all was the food - all three of us enjoyed our really, really good food - I had the best steak I've had for a very long time, and which was better than others I've had costing two or three time more. Friendly and efficient service; all this for a very reasonable cost; we couldn't believe how good it was. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic evening with friends overwinter. The food was excellent and the service too. We were very well looked after. Will definitely be visiting again when next in the area.

booked to eat here on 17th September as it was last night of our holiday. The food is fantastic the surf and turf cost the most at £45 but was worth every penny the staff were very pleasant. if planning to go check where car parks parking is limited

A fantastic, lovely and chilled restaurant that has consistently tasty food! Perfect for a relaxed vibrant evening with family or friends. Lots of vegan options - book or else you run a high risk of no tables high season!

Popped in here for one of their “ lunchtime specials” amazing food never eaten anything quite like it before, drinks somewhat expensive though £6.50 pint cider 🤔

Our first visit to the Taphouse with friends who live in Gorran. Had an amazing evening. The food was fantastic, the surroundings? So different & really cool. The staff were very good, helpful, obliging and professional. Looking forward to going back again 👍

Visited by chance at lunchtime. Team were great and menu was a nice change from usual pub fayre - the Poke bowls were great.

Loved everything about this place. Really enjoyed our evening here. My older children especially appreciated the decor and vibe. Great food and cocktails, with friendly staff. The Goan seafood curry with monkfish, prawns and mussels was delicious. The poke bowl with steak was enjoyed and looked fantastic, as did the Tappy burger. If visiting during busier periods, best to book in advance if you want a table to eat, Friday and Saturday nights were very busy. Brilliantly located for visiting after a day on the beach or walking coastal path. If visiting St Agnes, be sure to visit. It seemed really popular with locals and visitors.

Popped in for lunch and had the lunch time steak special for £10… what a bargain. Steak, chips, salad and garlic butter for a tenner. You won’t too that anywhere in Cornwall this summer. The young lads that served me were excellent. Il be back as soon as I can.

Really enjoyed our visit to Taphouse - delicious food, great atmosphere and enjoyed the drinks. Scott was fantastic, had a great sense of humour and made sure everyone was happy and having a great time. Will be coming back and would recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Started off with amazing cocktail perfectly measured, then decided to go with the steak frites along side another cocktail which was even better! Scott was amazing couldn’t ask for better service, one of the nicest blokes I’ve ever met! Would definitely come again!

On a wet Wednesday in March , thus pub was quite full , and not surprising . Wide selection of beer , a bit trendy and a bit pricey but ok Limited menu , but everything we had was really tasty . Spicy chicken wings really were spicy , and not the very hot ones. Hake fish of the day , and spicy Buddha bowl were also really good . Dessert well presented and good . I really enjoyed our lunch at the Taphouse today. I am a celiac and it had the most Gluten free options that I have ever had. We had great service from Gabby. I would definitely recommend The Carvery. Already planning a visit for our anniversary.
