Popped in for breakfast, great friendly service from Carl taking the order and bringing us coffee. Breakfast arrived, fresh and hot, really tasty and accommodated my additional request for scrambled egg. Thanks to Ella and Kat, the chefs, will definitely be back again

When for Mother’s Day and as per usual brilliant food , friendly staff that will go the extra mile and a great atmosphere. It is fast becoming our favourite pub when we travel up to see family

Stuff quite welcoming I had a double up beef burger and a no alcoholic Guinness Burger was good and filled a hole and the non-alcoholic Guinness turted like Guinness.

We visited today for mother's day and it was lovely, the staff were so very helpful and recommended a meal for my mother who has a small appetite. Food was served swiftly and with a smile. Top marks as we all enjoyed it, and the Ghost Ship on tap made it even better. Will return soon.

Poor customer service. Miserable bartender who needs to attend a course in hospitality. Closed at 11.30 when website states open until 12am. Won't be returning.

Lovely atmosphere, and lovely food

The food was very good but service was not great, they forgot the onions rings that were supposed to be in my ultimate burger and then forgot the flake on my sundae.

We visit here quite often and always find the staff to be friendly and polite. However, yesterday we were served by a young man called Adam. He really stood out as he was extremely hard working, kind and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble. He ensured that every table was happy and had everything they needed. Adam, you are a huge asset to the Tall Ships. Well done.

We visit this place most weekends as we have a caravan nearby. Lovely cosy pub/restaurant with a great atmosphere. Very friendly staff (especially G-Man being like our own personal bar person who welcomed us from our very first visit) food is lovely and it’s a good location. Keep up the good work, we will be a loyal customer for the foreseeable future.

Myself and my husband visited the pub during the time between Christmas and New Year for a meal and a few drinks. We have visited The Tall Ships on a number of occasions and always had a great experience. Out latest visit was no different the atmosphere is always friendly and inviting , this includes the staff who are welcoming and attentive. Our meals were tasty and great value for money and was a welcome change from all the Christmas food consumed. What made our visit extra special was seeing the wonderful Ella back working on her break from uni , she is an absolute joy and a credit to the pub

Excellent service, lovely food - party of 5 had a very very pleasant afternoon. Would recommend Tall Ships for really great pub food & great service. Dogs allowed in one specific area inside - with dig bowls provided.

Visited for the quiz night with friends, friendly local and a fun quiz with a fair few teams playing, didn't win, maybe next time. Drinks are a fair price and plenty to choose from. Food looked lovely although we didn't eat this time. We'll definitely be back.

We booked here for Xmas Lunch, unfortunately it didn't remotely meet our expectations, whilst we understand it is a pub, you are asked to provide your choices a month in advance so one would think they can't get it wrong. Apart from the actual Roast potatoes & Turkey the rest of the Gammon & veg was not good, the starters were very small portions, did not go for the desserts. Table service for drinks was very slow as everyone seemed to be focused on getting food out. C considering what we paid it was not value for money, we use other Ember Inns who have provided decent food in the past (unfortunately our local one was fully booked for Xmas well in advance) No intension to return here soon

We ordered steak my partner's was fine mine Thier was blood coming out of it when I cut it I didn't order that so they took it back by the time another steak had arrived this time burnt my partner had finished his meal so I left mine didn't ask for either of those steaks so won't be going back

Went to this place for a change of scenery and to try the food. Staff were pleasant and friendly throughout, food was served in an efficient manner and tasted nice. Good atmosphere without being too over crowded. Will be returning

Went for a meal with my family the food was good apart from some of our choices were sold out at 1330 I don’t think that is good enough when you are ordering the food on the menu that was the reason we went over

Good food, good atmosphere, great staff

Every time I order a delivery from this place they skin me. If they aren't charging for a sirloin and sending me a rump they charge you for meals that don't turn up. I waited an hour and a half last night for my delivery and they couldn't even find a driver. I canceled the order because I didn't want a steak delivered that was cooked two hours earlier. The bar charged me anyway. I paid £19 for absolutely nothing. Will never order from them again.

Always delicious food and a great atmosphere. In summer tables outside, in the winter cosy interior with flames dancing in the fireplace. Lots of parking spaces and convenient location.

They need to keep an eye on reserved tables because when we got there our table was taken so we had to wait for a table to come free.

I have been a few times now , ok for drinks however I was disappointed with the Sunday lunch I had in the past, also meals during the week although ok but things like chips are packet chips and not hand cooked.

It's always wonderful to come across staff members who go above and beyond with their customer service skills. Fletcher is a gem! Having excellent customer service skills is such an important quality in the hospitality industry. Fletcher's ginger hair definitely adds to his unique charm. Very disappointed no real ale or beer only lager never going again. Staff are great though.

All staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The food is always lovely every time we come - our favourites are the festive cheese fries with the hot honey and the red hot chicken wings. The pub is warm and inviting for all

Once again we were in the area and we stop for a bite to eat and drink and once again the staff were friendly and helpful and best of all our furry friend could joins us instead of having to stay in the car. Was lovely to see the pub beautiful decorated for Christmas and we always look forward to a meal at the tall ships

Very comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff

Great atmosphere, the staff was very helpful when we arrived as my friend had a guide dog and they helped us to a table in a quiet area of the pub. They even took time out to ask a few questions about her. When we left we got a genuine friendly good bye

Not much of an atmosphere in the Tall ships recently.... Maybe take a leaf out of the White House ( same chain) the staff are always cheerful and more welcoming in there

Had not been to this pub for a while,apart from chips overdone my meal was fine.Other people with me had problems with over cooked steak which was rectified with an opology ,a fresh steak & a complimentary round of drinks which we were quite happy with.

Been twice since my last visit & food has been very mediocre. Could be a chain thing but not liking it.

Watched Pek and Wanley here the other night. Was an excellent night with a good variety of drinks available

We visited today 6th November for lunch, from walking in to the pub until leaving everything about it was fantastic,the pub itself is absolutely immaculate and beautifully decorated with a relaxing homely feeling and the extensive menu is superb,we went for the 3 course lunchtime special an absolute bargain at under £12 per head, the portions are huge and the food both beautifully cooked and presented. The landlady and her staff are lovely and friendly and we felt nothing was to much trouble. We will most certainly be returning a great deal in the future. If you're looking for great food and wonderful surroundings then this is the place to be.

We were staying in the area and looking for somewhere we could have a could of drinks and food. We came across the tall ships and were really glad we did! We enjoyed it so much we visited twice during our 3 night stay. The service and food during both visits was excellent as was the cleanliness of the pub. Excellent value for money and if we’re in the area again will definitely revisit!

We went here on a Thursday night and it was a great atmosphere with a lot of people but not too full, later on more people came for the quiz night. We did wait quite a while for our food but it was busy. When our food did arrive it was lovely, I had the salad and it was actually very tasty despite the picture I took doesn't do it justice. It was a nice touch adding the strawberries to the gin and tonic but on my third glass I had one of the strawberries gone off. The waffles smelt amazing when they came out and tasted great too. Over all this is a great local pub

If you like a good curry in a family restaurant with a wide choice menu then this takes a lot of beating. We visit Ember Inns on a regular basis because we find a consistency and good service with a good range of choices from the menu and at prices from very reasonable to the special dining ...all good quality. A good choice of drinks with the zero alcohol beer for drivers like me.

Lovely place to come for breakfast after a walk on the beach with the dogs. Always lovely to find a pet friendly place to eat

Went for a meal tonight with friends and ordered Lasagne. Food was lovely everyone enjoyed their meal.

Great drinks selection and around average prices too staff serving are always friendly, big shout out to g-man who always has a smile on his face! We come here regularly, the atmosphere is always great and it has a real “local pub” feel to it. The food is always great here too, never gave to wait long always hot and good value would definitely recommend 😁

Just moved here from Spain. Already in love with Hartlepool. Was recommended this pub. It did not disappoint. Staff super friendly, service was excellent and food was fantastic! Our freind came up from Yorkshire and we all enjoyed our time here. Will come again ourselves and also bring family and freinds here.

Poor. Food over cooked got order of dessert wrong, staff rude and to top it off food poisoning.

Really lovely place to go for a daytime or evening meal! The prices are incredibly reasonable and the portion sizes of the food are also very generous! The quality of the food is excellent and the staff are very helpful and welcoming!

Came in very hungry and looking for Sunday roast. I was not disappointed! The food was delicious and well presented. Served on hot plates too which makes all the difference. Finished of with a tasty munchies Sunday. Thank you to Carl for looking after us!

Only stopped in for a pint and a bag of crisps but it's a really nice place with plenty space and indoor and outdoor seating, there is plenty of parking but remember to type your registration in on the tablet.

Nice bar with good outdoor facilities and a lovely indoor seating area. Was a bit gutted to discover the pump clips for four of the beers were 'Coming Soon', disappointing but a reason to come back. Food menu looks good, but wasn't eating on this occasion. Good place to come if you want a meal a little bit out of town but not too far.

Most of the food is nice, but the steak is awful. Great service.

The food was awful and over priced £12.99 for a double cheeseburger that was dry and poorly prepared Posh fish and chips frozen fish with soggy batter Fish fingers and chips pitty full same for the nuggets I felt robbed

Situated at Hartlepool Marina, the docks and Hartlepool headland. There is not only tall ships but parades, Tower of Light show Fireworks , two big wheels and concerts from Manchester Anthems, The Sherlock's, The Wilson Family, maximo Park and The Magic numbers. There is also a family beach, stalls. Pirate games and sandcastle building. On Saturday 8th July 10.30pm fireworks. Ending with Parade of Sail Sunday 9th July from 1pm to 3pm.

Great event to see the Tall Ships so close up. Showcasing what Hartlepool has to offer and very well presented by the sponsors. Lots of places to eat and drink and great for all ages.

Had Sunday lunch. Quality good. Didn't skimp on amount. Staff friendly and helpful. Will be back for sure.

Great service and great food and drinks

Pop in regularly and always get a warm welcome from staff. Chefs do a Steak and chutney ciabatton which are amazing always cooked perfert. Thank you sarah and claire for for always getting our coffee orders right. Will be bringing friends and family when they are in town for tall ships weekend😀

Lovely pub, great atmosphere and dog friendly. One of the best pints of Stella in the town, and a good ever changing choice of real ales. The manager is lovely and friendly, and the staff have always been friendly and polite. Great place
