The Stone Grill in Blackpool

We came to Blackpool for the weekend and we were fortunate to come across this absolute gem of a place. On arrival we were shown to our table and asked if we had been there before? We explained we hadn't so the lovely waitress explained how the menus worked. If we had the steak it would come on a hot lava stone and we would cook it ourself. To be truthful I wasn't all that keen on this but since I hadn't tried anything like this before I was willing to give it a go!! The experience was absolutely brilliant!! I got the 12oz rib eye and I was able to cook my whole steak on the lava stone till I finished. My whole experience from start to finish was 10/10 The food was fantastic The décor was very tasteful The staff were very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend the stone grill

Has a lovely family meal on Mother's Day. Food was excellent and the staff friendly, attentive and polite. Thoroughly recommended.

How do I even put into words how incredible this place is?!! The decor, the staff, the menu, the food, the experience, everything is absolutely perfect. We both had the 12oz ribeye and some sides and we both demolished the lot. Although the prices may appear a little high on the surface, we paid £85 all in for our meals and drinks, which is actually amazing for a fabulous date night with unbelievable food. Highly recommend and we hope to be back soon!

Food was beautiful I had 35oz Tomahawk steak. The wife and daughter had ribs due to no lamb or chicken which was quite disappointing Otherwise staff were very welcoming and friendly Absolutely brilliant service lovely food. Will be re visiting Just hope rack of lamb in stock. Thankyou to all the amazing staff.

First time there steak was very nice we all had steak staff was nice and pleasant will go back again when I go back to Blackpool it was my partner birthday dinner would recommend it.

From our greeting when we arrived until we left - everything was perfect ( I’m v particular) The hosts were lovely and advised us how to cook our steak on our stones- The meat was perfect- as were the sides, starters, desserts and drinks- will definitely be returning - it was a superb evening out in a wet February evening - Thankyou v much

Absolutely love this place. Cooking your own steak to perfection. The setting is lovely and relaxing. You don't feel rushed and the staff are very friendly. And a bonus it's half price on a Wednesday. Can't recommend highly enough.

One of those that you’ve always meant to try but never got round to it. Finally got my chance tonight with the bonus of it being 50% off selected dishes on a Wednesday. Had to go for the 35oz Tomahawk for myself and the 12oz Meat Platter and Fillet strips for the other two. Left nothing but bone. What a great first time and the staff made it an enjoyable experience. Definitely be going back.

Food was wrong. Got our bill wrong. Managers had a terrible attitude. Won’t be going back obviously, don’t think anyone else should bother. Ordered a 16oz steak, got two 8oz but had to still pay for the 16oz which was more expensive than just getting two 8oz with sides etc. One of the things that comes with the steaks is one flat mushroom. We were given one butter mushroom (about 1/6th the size of a flat). Absolutely pitiful. Not to mention the wait time for someone to come over and take plates away, bring out desserts etc. I understand it can take a while for hot food to be cooked but why am I waiting 20mins tea for an ice cream that you get wrong anyway?

Was absolutely dying for some lobster what a shame so disappointed more stuck in my teeth than i ate i would change your Supplier the Staff was lovely but i was starving when i got home good job i didnt have far to go had a bar of Cadburys whole nut and a cup of tea haha

My birthday meal. It was a treat for me, we dont usually spend a lot on meals out. I was not dissapointed. Absolutely beautiful. Every aspect of our visit was perfect. Service was top notch, I think our server was called Ben with brown hair but not positive. It became extremely busy from 630 so we were glad we booked early (530) so we could see it both quiet and busy. All the food was impecable, could not fault it. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. I dont walk well and our server even checked I was ok when I went to the toilet, which was so kind considering how busy he was. Just a quick nod to ask I was ok. I ordered the mushrooms to start which tasted gorgeous, then the sirloin steak with scollops and chunky chips, peppercorn sauce. Meat was so tender! Melts in the mouth. Partner had halloumi to start, tasty! And the tomohawk steak which was meant to be 35oz but our server said we actually ended up with a 40oz and it was £10 off tonight wow! So tasty and was so good having that option to cook it further if needed on the hot stone. It says online that eating food cooked on the hot stones can bring calm and tranquility, and we really believe this to be true. We felt so good all night. Usually eating this amount of food we come away feeling over full and ready for bed. We felt so good, we even went to the showboat after for a few drinks, usually I would be ready for home after a big meal. The dessert was delicious. Creme brulee and partner got a cheese board. The only thing I would say is that the table for 2 could have a bit more space on it because I did get a few spits of butter on my arm from when I was cooking my steak on the stone. To be expected, but could be avoided if table was bigger for all items required on the table. Such a good night and we will definately be returning and recommending this place to everyone. I went with my wife for valentines they were advertising a free glass of prosecco on arrival we never received it when we received our bill it was wrong they had to give us a 32 pound refund but did not explain why the bill was so high I was quite shifty about it, the food was ok or having to cook your own steak on a stone was not my cup of tea. and we won't be going back there again

When your nearly paying £250 between 4 of you I would expect the food to be top notch but not on this occasion the starters and mains were both average and meat tasted cheap might of been an off occasion for the chef but for what you pay the portion sizes are tiny unfortunately I won’t be returning and I’ll stick to miller+cater for a steak next time.

Adam and Emily looked after 5 of us on a Friday evening and we had a fantastic experience. The food was amazing, quick, fresh and tasty. Both Adam and Emily made it fun and they explained how everything worked!

Beautifully decorated, superb menu and very friendly, attentive staff. The menu was excellent and the quality of the meat was excellent…better than Goucho and other high-end London restaurants. Cocktails menu was good and the service was the best I’ve had for a long time. Only negative is they should consider putting spinach on the menu. Other than that…perfect!

Thought the food was lovely. And our waiter, Emily, she was really friendly and welcoming and was approachable if we needed anything. She was brilliant and so was the food.

Had a sneaky visit at 4pm on a Sunday. Little did we know the menu was almost all half price! Had a great meal of fillet steak strips, which came raw and I cooked them to my liking on the hot stone. Also had 9 king prawns that came raw too. Great way to eat steak as I love it blue. Over cooking steak is up to you as you can have it however you want it on the hot stone. Will definitely go again.

Lovely atmosphere, welcoming and friendly. Food was wonderful and the service was just right, no hoovering over you, but there when you needed them. We will be back soon

Stumbled across the stone grill by accident after our reservation got cancelled at another restaurant, and we're so glad we did. The whole experience was amazing. The food was excellent for both the meat eaters in the family as well as a vegetarian. The atmosphere was welcoming and cosy, and the majority (with the exception of one waitress) of staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again when we're nearby.

Beautiful food with the beauty of remaining hot due to the stones. Excellent varied menu including exotic meats . We opted for various steaks and each one was fab. Would definitely recommend.

The Stone Grill has been a favourite restaurant of ours for the last few years. It has always been a pleasant experience. We decided to give it another visit last weekend as we haven't been since it was revamped. First impressions were good. The restaurant looked beautiful and much brighter inside than it used to be. The staff were quick to take our order and serve our drinks and food. That's the positives. Now for the negatives. There used to be many more booths which were spacious and cosy at the same time. Now some of those have been replaced with small tables which are very exposed and close to each other. I understand they are trying to get in as many people as possible and it's not good for them having two people sitting in a table for four and usually I'd agree with that. But the nature of this restaurant is different because you don't get just two plates down. You get hot stones, sides etc. On top of that we decided to get the exotic meat sharer for two. Which consists of 6 different cuts of exotic meat served on two long wooden boards. When you add those boards to the hot stones, the plates and the sides the table was awfully overcrowded. It made eating very uncomfortable. We had to eat our meat straight off the hot stones as there was not enough space to put our plates in front of us. It really ruined the dining experience. As for the food, we noticed there are new items on the menu so I decided to order the frogs legs. I've eaten those in other restaurants so I was looking forward to trying them again. I was disappointed to say the least. Other places usually serve them either battered or roasted. What I've got here was pale, boiled meat which was swimming in olive oil. Didn't look appetising and didn't taste nice either. My husband said his squid started was lovely. The exotic meat was nice and more than enough for two people. It was good to see they had so many different types this time. As on all our previous visits for years there was only kangaroo steak available. The staff were very friendly and polite. The drinks and food were served quickly. I asked for my stone to be replaced and Emily did that in no time. My only complaint was that even though the staff could see that our table was overcrowded with plates etc. they didn't attempt to remove any even when we were finished with some of them. So we left with mixed feelings. We don't know whether the issues were caused by the fact it was Saturday night and it was very busy. But still when you pay so much money you would like to get a pleasant experience whether it's busy or not. We will probably give it another try as we love the restaurant and we've been going there for years. We just hope it will be a positive experience next time.

A nice, well-presented place to eat. Service very pleasant. Food was filling and satisfying but slightly lacked a wow-factor. A friend's steak was too chewy due to gristle and fat. Would like to visit again to try something else on the menu.

Our 1st visit and deffinatly won't be the last. Warm welcome as we walked through the door, not rushed to our table nice and relaxed. The menu is quite extensive and the staff can walk you through the different flavours and are happy to help you choose if you can't make your mind up. Over all a very good experience

Was a good night out, food was good though on the lava stone it sometimes cooks the meat too much but overall excellent. Lovely service and atmosphere and no kids under 14 so it's not noisy and horrible haha. Would go again.

Came for a birthday treat, 1st time at the new venue, the decor is beautiful and the sirloin and scallops I had melted in the mouth. Service was great and took account of unusual food allergy, also very wheelchair friendly. Price was very reasonable we’ll be back again.

we turned up at 6pm, the restaurant was empty other than one couple who were eating and was told we couldn’t have any food because they stop serving food at 6??? what restaurant stops food at 6pm that’s like the start of tea time ahhaha

We drove from Liverpool to try this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Customer service was great, friendly staff and knowledgeable of the menu. Food was AMAZING. Hot stone steaks... Cooked to perfection for the individual pallete! We certainly would return.

Service absolutely shocking, order taken waited forty minutes for the starters to arrive. Nothing so went to ask what was happening only to betold they had lost the order . Then told us we could have our main course in five minutes. So we walked....
