The food was delicious and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Kids loved playing outside on the wee play park climbing set. No negatives, only positives and empty plates for us. It was our first time being in this Marsden's, and it won't be our last!

Had a delicious meal with family today - Staff warm and welcoming. Highly recommended.

Brilliant service on an Easter Saturday evening. No sky sports on TV was a let down but food was OK and reasonable prices. Good for families and good atmosphere. Music a bit loud for the crowd that was in mainly families and a big birthday party. Kids menu and bigger kids menu. Waiters were all friendly and quick. Did the job!

Decent pub. Special shout out to the staff who go above and beyond to make you feel at home here, worth dropping in for a pint. 👍

Enjoyed everything about this place, except unfortunately the food, it really let them down. Staff were lovely, really friendly and efficient and the restaurant had a nice ambience about it. Place was really clean, including the bathrooms. However I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back here again

Pub is table service only so no where to get a beer while waiting for a table. Best to book in advance. Went there on a Saturday night since we were staying at the premier inn opposite. Reasonably good selector beers, and a wide selection of food on the menu. Service was good, and fast which did feel a bit like they wanted you out to get the table for someone else

Like this place however couple of comments shortage of disabled parking spots, staff under stress ie not enough of them!

Shocking staff food was not great my meal was not nice there was 3 people my meal not nice ok it was replaced by another but the person on charge was not very nice

Came in for lunch while out doing some shopping. Place is busy but less hectic than grabbing lunch in the main places at Braehead. Staff were really friendly and service was really quick. Can't fault the value as the Panini/sandwich options came with chips and all in with our drinks 2 of us had a nice break for our lunch for about £20 Will be back to decompress after the next IKEA trip.

Lovely friendly pub restaurant. Easy atmosphere. Attentive helpful staff. Varied menu and also varied non gluten menu with good choices. Reasonable cost. We will visit regularly .

The staff were very attentive and the restaurant had a lovely cosy atmosphere. The food was lovely and warm as were the plates which I think is most important. I had been there a few years ago but feel there was a big improvement since then. I would definitely go back.

A wee good carvery pub with an over complicated ordering system. Shown to our seats, table service with a wee smile 😃 Wee pretty waitress came for our drinks order and said she couldn't order food. Another came over for that. Ordered a carvary and was told by a wee waitress of stunning good looks we had to wait to be called up for our carvery (only a wee minute or two). Food was excellent 👌 😋 service outstanding and friendly.

I was greeted and seated promptly by my waiter Paul who explained about the meal deal of the day and gave a great recommendation for the food - and I was amazed at how good the menu was for vegetarians. I travel a lot and I was here for work and I was blown away by how spoilt for choice I was for great vegetarian options. I went for the mac and cheese with veggie chicken strips starter and the veggie chilli main. All staff I dealt with were fantastic and the food was excellent. I wish we had your restaurants near me in Bedford (and if you do have a location nearby please let me know!) You had great electric chargers outside of and plenty of space inside the restaurant. It was a great and unexpected experience - so thank you!

The staff were welcoming, professional and so helpful! I had booked a table for 15 people flying celebrate my birthday and I had friends cancel last minute which meant I only needed a table for 6 people. The staff were so understanding and reassured me it was all ok. My friend slept and I had a lovely meal and enjoyed the restaurant and atmosphere. The table service was amazing and we will all be going back again very soon! My friends said they will tell their own friends to go there too! Thank you and I look forward to bringing more friends and family there in the near future!

Have been here before when staying at nearby Premier Inn. The place just never stops, all guests were dealt with promptly, tables wiped down and reused. Not much staff but the ones that were there certainly worked hard for their money. They were bright and efficient and that was probably in the busiest hours of their day. Sunday supper. My only negative would be would you consider small portions for people who just cannot manage things like 12 pieces of Scampi, delicious as it was my husband & I could easily have shared that portion and maybe even a dessert.

Ate there for tea, great food, good service, good bar prices, will definitely eat there there whilst I’m in Glasgow

Brilliant and friendly wee pub restaurant, busy throughout the day with visitors and locals, which says a lot. We've eaten here a few times now and will be back again for sure! Great job. Highly recommended 👌

I visited with my 90 year old father my wife and 2 adult sons. I booked the table well in advance online for a 17.30pm. On arrival we were taken to a table located next to the kids zone in a corner located with lots of noisy children and an area where my father with limited ability with walking assistance trolley found it A very uncomfortable trying to sit at the small designated table. We couldn’t hear ourselves speak and my father couldn’t hear what I was saying at all. I requested a different table in a more suitable area for our needs. The staff member promptly told me nothing was available, no apology not even a smile. We quickly ate our meal which was quite pleasant and left. So disappointed for my father who turned 90yrs young the day before. Over to you Regards Frank OConnor

Visited on 21st Feb for a celebratory meal and was pleasantly surprised to find there was a new menu out. Place was busy but not overly, the staff were as friendly and welcoming as ever. Food wise, we had the cowboy burger, the new kebab and fries and the new hot dog and fries. Sounds so simple but the flavours were incredible - a taste sensation if you like!! All three of us had food envy and already can’t wait to return for more!! 10/10 keep up the great work guys!!

Visited on Wednesday evening with my husband and daughter for a celebratory meal and was excited to see a new menu available. Place was busy but not overly and the staff were as friendly and attentive as ever. Food wise we had the cowboy burger, the new kebab and fries and the new hotdog and fries. We were staying at the nearby Premier Inn and wanted an easy meal with no travelling. Always a bit dubious about chain pubs and the food they serve, but this was on the doorstep. I have to say that from the minute we entered we were not disappointed. We hadn’t booked and it was busy, but we were seated with no fuss. Asked to order on the app 😅 I am already sweating as I am a fifty something old fart. Not got my readers and I’m technoability (yes it’s a word). Come the rescue. AMY the saint waitress. Takes the full order as she sees I am breaking down. Food comes hot and very well presented for a pub chain. It’s also very tasty. Full bill of two mains and three drinks was £45. This is an excellent pub with great food and staff. Only one minor observation. Get a dark ale or Ruby on the pump. Only because I don’t do IPA. AWESOME service from Amy. (We are not related. She was very good).

Initially a bit of a struggle as we were advised to use the app to order. I am a male in my 50’s and just like to go to the bar and get served. Fortunately our amazing waitress Amy for table 16 saw we were struggling and came to the rescue taking the full order and also offering excellent service throughout. The food was very good. Hot which is always a concern in a busy kitchen, but more to the point very well presented. My wife had sausage and mash, and that was played very nicely. I would love to see a couple of other dark ales as I expected something from Marston, even a Peddie would have been enough. Other than that well done very

Went there for lunch and had an ace time! Huge thanks to Thomas our server, he was brilliant! Always making sure we had everything we needed, he brought a positive and cheerful mood to the table! Had an absolutely fantastic time and hope to go there again soon!

Very disappointed with the lack of customer service. As advertised children eat for a £1.00 with any adult meal as advertised on the way in. However this is not the case if you don’t ask you will be charged full price and if your child orders of the children’s menu but has the larger children’s meal this is not included! So only under 5s eat for a £1.00 very misleading and when asked they didn’t Evan know about it apparently they couldn’t see the huge sign outside there own pub ! Would not recommend food wasn’t great either.

I've visited this place umpteen times now, the staff are always very friendly and happy to help, we love visiting, the food is great, selection of drink is good, brilliant place to visit for food.

Well this is great for the carvery. They do this everyday apparently. I got a small plate which consist’s of 2 pieces of meat. You help yourself to veg and you can go back for more. I thought the small plate was quite big and very good value for money. You pay an extra £1 on a weekend. I would recommend it is good value

Rachel i s a member of staff that looked after myself and my husband a lovely member of staff very a attentive. And she care about the people that she serves and will do anything for you. Also my husband and myself was lost while trying to get to the restaurant last night and I phoned the Steam wheeler and a member of staff by the name of Thomas was able to direct us on how to get to the Steam wheeler of which was much appreciated and they kept our table for us.

Great service and nothing too much trouble , food was excellent and really good varied menu , I will definitely be back to try more of the menu choices

Jade was our Server, considering it was a table of 12 indecisive people she gave great and helpful service, always making sure we were happy with orders made and that our drinks were replenished without waiting for a long time.

We came for Dinner and desert. I had a lovely carvery and my wife had the lasagne.the service and choice great as always we go to the steamwhealer every chance we get and because its table service we can chill and relax in a very comfy atmosphere

A carvery. A rarity. Brilliant, attentive staff. We had roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. Just what the doctor ordered for Sunday lunch. Full of lovely, ordinary Glaswegians.

Wine and cocktails very good. Food very tasty. Staff very attentive and very polite,looked after us very well. Will come back on our next holiday.

Had lunch at The Steam Wheeler. It was during the week and nice and quiet. We had a mix of the carvery and the steak and drink daily special. All meals were lovely, tasty and generously portioned. I really want to mention the staff, Angela and the others on duty. I don't think I've ever been anywhere else in Glasgow where the staff have been so lovely. Really friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Made our visit most enjoyable. Thank you for that. I need to drop a star because every single dessert we wanted from the menu was unavailable! But it certainly didn't spoil our visit. Would go back and in fact, planning to do so very soon.

This was a family meal for a birthday 🎂 17 adults and one dog. The food is great. Service was brilliant. 👏👏👏

Hi had 60th birthday lunch as much as service was good food wasn't as roast potatoes and veg was cold Meat was tender but veg was dry as had been out awhile Was disappointed but good service

Birthday Meal. Lovely as usual. Staff great. Customer service was top plus. However roast beef in carvery if thrown at window would gone through it so tough and paid extra £2.99 to get extra which was uneatable and a Member of staff went to find out why and never came back. However will defo not stop us going back. Still recommend it. If not for beef they got 5 starbb

We were there on Xmas day and the atmosphere was buzzing! The food was of excellent quality and the staff were very attentive. We will be booking up again for next year.

From arriving and leaving the steam wheeler, the service was faultless, we where greeted and shown to our spacious table, drinks ordered almost straight away. Preordered food was amazing. Management took time to speak to my family and my 10 year old daughter loved it. Hence was giving a huge hug by her as we left. We will definitely be back very soon and for 2024 Christmas dinner. Well done Steam Wheeler! you gave 100% service and hospitality.

We had a very good Xmas day dinner with really good service and food

We hadn't been to this location in years and decided to book our Xmas dinner here.The food was excellent the staff were also very friendly and efficient. We were sitting next to the fireplace in the restaurant which made our Xmas supper special. We will certainly return!

I am so glad I visited this pub, the staff were an absolute delight and attentive without disturbing our table. It was a very busy Sunday afternoon so they certainly could have been forgiven for rushing us but they did not. The only reason I gave 3 stars for the food was , I couldn't see that much difference between the large and regular size of carvery meal and it was a bit too cool for me. I have to say it was very tasty and the meat was lovely and tender. I will definitely be back.

If you come on a Sunday, you get a further choice of meat. It seems that those of us not coming on that day get only three slices instead of 4. Are we subsidising Sunday eaters. The sides did not arrive. We had almost finished eating and were told there had been a problem in the ordering of them so they would be on other 10 minutes. Fair enough we were not charged for them but having been asked well in advance for our choices it really spoilt the meal. At the end, the server who brought my bill said I had a small discount due to the problems. From the bill it was impossible to see much of a discount. Surely I should have been given a bill showing 5 adults at the cost of the package and one child plus drinks. It would then have given me a total and then shown my deposit having been taken off. When I asked the server about this he said it was all calculated before and they did not show this. I was therefore unable to see much of a discount. We eat here frequently and have nice meals and good service. I was offered end scraps of a piece of turkey and had to argue with the chef to get slices. I am aware that photos are for illustration only but I expect 4 decent slices of meat. This didn’t happen and as I say, with not being there at the weekend, my choice was limited yet I paid the same as someone having the meal at the weekend. All in all, not a pleasant experience. It will not prevent us returning but I don’t think the Festive Menu will be tackled by us again as I did not feel it was value for money

First time here, it was all table service. the service was weird, 15 min wait at the table before someone finally took a drink order then waited longer for the food order to be taken. To be finally told 5 mins after that, that we could goto the carvery. WOW that was a big mistake. The ham was an old bit that was very dry and hard to chew, the beef was nice for the 2 small slices that I got. Now, onto the veg, another WOW roast potatoes that had never seen any oil, my air fryer does better, hard on the outside doesn't even cover it and just as hard on the inside. Carrots that looked like they had been out there for a few days and rock hard cauliflower. In all, it was very disappointing. First time there and definitely the last. I gave 3 stars for the atmosphere, the pub is nice but the music was a little loud, I was unable to hear the waiter and my partner. If possible give this carvery a miss and hopefully the other menu items might be better.

Staff were lovely very welcoming. I stopped off here for lunch last week because it's close to the hospital. My friend went for a soup and I went for the cavery option. The carvery isn't great unfortunately meat very dried out and more fat than meat had a chemical taste was overwhelming. The potatoes were rock hard Brussels were undercooked. The only good thing about it was the peas, carrots and gravy. I did mention it to the gentleman behind the bar who took 20% of the bill which was nice of him. However I'd seriously re consider serving cavery all together was one of the worst roast dinners I have ever tasted. However I think if I do go back I will stick to the normal menu. But the staff were lovely can't fault the service.

Excellent staff: always welcoming, friendly and helpful. Not the staff's fault but the change to cheaper flimsy napkins is not welcome. Having something which falls apart as you try to unfold it does not add to the dining experience. A poor money saving change.

Staff were lovely very attentive. Food in the carvery was utter awful we'd of broke a tooth eating the potatoes and all that was left was carrots and peas the rest of the plates were empty aoart from burnt looking sprouts no mash nothing decent so we were left with some sliced meat that was so dry and nothing else for paying for a large carvery. I'm not sure I'd try it again grudged paying for it. I'd serve food without doing the carvery it's embarrassing

Booking of 10. Everyone enjoyed their food and appreciated it all being brought together despite separate orders on the app. One of the servers (larger gentleman with black hair) had some personal hygiene problems. This was noticeable when walking back and forth.

Thomas was excellent, service was fantastic and food was really nice too, was my grandas birthday and they made it really nice for us!😊

We had the carvery, the chap serving was miserable, the cuts of meat were also miserable, I sense a pattern, the meat was very overcooked & dry, roast potatoes were so bad we couldn’t cut them with a machete, cauliflower also too hard to eat, in a good note though, the cheesy potatoes were great, sorry guys, you failed at this

Decided to have the carvery. The food was nice and hot with a good amount of meat and a huge Yorkshire pudding

We ordered burgers, unfortunately the meat was completely burnt and even crunchy at times. I hope this is a one-off mistake by the cook who forgot about them. They shouldn't be served at the table at all. Overall, a very nice and cozy place.

The welcome was frosty, it actually nearly made us change our minds about eating there despite us booking in advance, it was an older woman, as she showed us to our table she looked like we'd pissed her off by turning up, however the server was lovely, and the food was good. My diet irn bru arrived as normal irn bru, but it got swapped. My husbands glass had lipstick on it, but it got swapped and they apologised. The only thing that would put me off returning was the huffy, sulky non welcome.
