The Station Pub in Tandridge

Great find. Beautifully decorated pub, fantastic Asian food was especially a fan of the bento box starter. I cannot understand why it was so quiet when we were there my only explanation is because it was the first weekend of January. Cannot fault anything, food and service were both impeccable. We will definitely be back if we are back in the area.

Popped in for food after a family visit to priory farm. What can I say, great food and flavour. Great service. Great price. Strangely quiet for a Sunday afternoon. But hopefully will be back again. Lovely pub.

21st Birthday Bash, lovely time with friends celebrating a 21st.

Quite expensive, the food actually taste really nice. We were on table of 4 and 2 people got their food 45 minutes before my partner and I. The excuse was that we ordered separately even though the orders were placed 30 seconds apart. They just said sorry and walked off. The other excuse they had was they one chef. Which I said you should tell us there will be such a big delay before we order. The waitress also but a steaming hot plate directly in front of a 6 month old and just said “careful it’s hot” to a baby!!! She could have put the plate anywhere else on the table. It was embarrassing because we were the only ones in the pub on a Saturday. We should have guessed it then. After speaking to others in the village this is a normal experience for big groups.

Went here for dinner tonight(aThursday!) with our daughter and her family. After buying drinks and perusing the menu we were informed that ‘the kitchen was closed for the evening!’ Bearing in mind the website specified that the kitchen is closed on a Monday. Not impressed one bit!

All around amazing time at this pub. They have it all, friendly staff, amazing food and relaxed atmosphere! I’ve been to a lot of pubs recently and have found that currently most are over priced and have dropped in quality. The Station was a breath of fresh air and blew me away. If you want to go out for a meal with amazing food and fair prices, surrounded by the best atmosphere this is the place to be.

We have been to The Station many times now, and all I can say is that it is absolutely brilliant in every way. The staff are the most friendliest and helpful people and the whole vibe of the place is just 10/10. We have eaten here a few times now and every time the food has been amazing. There is not one bad thing we can say about it. This place is 100% worth a try. The pad Thai is to die for, along with the selection of starters they have to offer! Everything that is served up is top quality in every single way, unlike most pub food that you get in other places nowadays! Taking people to new places can sometimes be nerve wracking as you never know how it’s going to turn out food and service wise. We have now brought family and friends to eat at The Station and they rave on about it because of the how great the food and service is! We highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone! 😊🙌

We had our wedding meal and evening Reception at The Station and what a fabulous time we had! Where to start! The food is amazing, generous portions and all really tasty. Jeanette and her team couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating both beforehand and on the day. Both we and our guests highly recommend The Station for any wedding/party or event you are thinking of holding.

We had a lovely time on Sunday. The Service was great and we were looked after very well. The food was quick to come out and was delicious. Kids always have a lot of fun playing in the massive garden.

Based on my experience - and your falsified response to complaint. 1. Pad Thai take out - was a pit of tasteless stodge that i could not finish. Gave to foxes. And i felt sorry for the foxes. 2. Warm beer - in the words of the bar maid - our fridges are not very good. 3. Falsified response to my complaint - i did not wait 40 minutes drinking whilst my takeaway sat there as you claim. I was there for 15 minutes, drinking a warm corona, and I left as soon as it was bought to me. Your chef would have no idea who i was to make this statement after 4 days. My review is based on MY experience, not his, so it is irrelevant how many dishes your chef has cooked. I paid good money for a beer and a takeout - and both were below par. As is your reply to all this. I've travelled Thailand pretty well, and live next to a Thai restaurant. I've never had a pot of stodge like this. I give permission for google to remove my other review on this which states i should rate it 2 stars. On the plus side - the dumplings and spring roles were ok. Says my son.

Had pad Thai takeout. Was stodgy and naff. I even feel sorry for the fox I gave it to. I used to live next door to a pub serving Thai so I know a decent pad Thai when I order one. Really I’d give it 2, but I don’t want to ruin online presence.

This is a lovely pub tucked away in South Nutfield. Was driving past on a hot sunny day and decided to stop for a quick afternoon drink. This has a large outdoor garden with many tables and also room out front. Inside is very traditional. Great selection of beers and spirits etc. Menu looked great, but we didn't eat here. The 2 girls that were serving where extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. We will definitely return, to try the lunches.

I have never been to a better pub! We have travelled further than we would to visit a pub but have have had the best experience. The service provided was amazing. Particularly by Cassie and Abbey! They are a credit to your business. Would 100% recommend this place.

Awful service & food. Most miserable manager - didn’t even come over to check why dissatisfied. Avoid.

Food is mediocre & service is slow. Wrong drink turned up, then they forgot about the next drinks we ordered & cutlery so had to remind them a few times - pretty sloppy. A few bits weren’t available for one of the main meals, no discount offered & not much else on the menu to choose from. Even the bill was incorrect, staff took no interest. Service charge was a complete rip off. I wouldn’t recommend at all.

Very poor service, had to wait over an hour for a pizza after the rest of our group has already eaten. Found the bar person very rude

I love coming to The Station Pub. Kez, Netty and their lovely daughters and staff always make it a lovely experience and the food is delicious. I was there yesterday and had a lovely catch up with everyone and was treated to Thai Green Chicken Curry with Rice and Orange Juice, so delicious!!!

Well what a lovely experience yesterday was. From the start to finish the service was incredible and the food was 10/10. Ollie and Amy were very helpful and cheerful. The lady who I believe to be the owner (maybe) was also very kind and everyone was so positive here what a great place to have a drink and some food. Would highly recommend, best pub in Surrey by far.

Visited for Father's Day. Took my son and husband. Great Sunday roast and nice cold Guinness. Perfect sunday afternoon in outdoor surroundings if you choose to or lovely comfortable seating indoors if you prefer. Would recommend.

Great staff very attentative but not too bothersome. They got the balance just right. The food was as always extremely good. Can't wait for the full menu to return as the chicken in black bean is my fav.

Lots of outdoor space and authentic and tasty Thai food. Shame they didn't have the pizza oven going, but given pubs have just reopened can't complain.

Inexperienced staff didn't know what they sold. A rude manager who was so upset we didn't buy food charged us 12.5% service charge. To sit in the car park where they had sat us down without explaining it was food only. Will not be back which is such a shame as used to be one of my favourite places.

Had the best evening, sitting in Dukes yard, by the heaters, in a covid safe environment. Food and table service was amazing, as was the company and the chocolate cake was absolutely delicious. All of the available outdoor space has been thoughtfully and tastefully added too, to create more dining spaces. It is evident how much work has been going on behind the scenes to get the pub ready to reopen. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do for the village, in all that you offer. We highly recommend this gem in the centre of our amazing village

Heard Great Things about this Pub Visited for the first time Since Lockdown Restirctions Changed on the 12th April Met By Nettie as we arrived,wasn't impressed by first impression and attitude of Excuses about Staff Issues Order Drinks asked for " Blackcurrant in my Guiness, Pretty easy request for a bar person, was told it woukd be served how it was served" Then watched preferention treatement of customers, which I took on the chin as a local resident considering as a party of 3 adults 2 children and a dog the kids drinks orders where missed and no fresh water for the dog in a "dog friendly venue" Second Round of Drinks "Cassie" Served OUTSTANDING Customer Service Chatty and Changed Our Experience, was Disappointed that a Tip Given to Cassie was Part of a Group Tip Jar Used the Mens Toilets, Very Impressed by internal Decor Thought I was In "London" shame about the out of Service Toilet and shambolic "Out of Order Sign" in such a beautiful Venue that has taken the attention to detail in account a shame about the Management Attitude, I myself have over 20 year experience in event management and front faceing customer Service and while apologising to "a manager" I was treated with a dismissing homophobic attitude when I was trying to support a local buisness and give constructive feedback on wot is basic for a buisness owner and in face to face customer service i am very unimpressed and hope the next time I invest in spending Money and Support Local Buisness I don't receive the Same Disgusting Attitude and Service Espacially Paying 12.5% Table Service for someone to have a rude attitude to a new Customer............!

We visited the Station for the first time today. It;s the first Sunday coming out of the lockdown and we weren't sure what to expect. We weren't disappointed - we were made to feel very welcome - nothing was too much trouble. We sat in the front outside dining area which was a lovely sun trap in mid April and we didn't need the extra layers we have brought with us. The food was very tasty and plenty of it - they had San Miguel on tap which pleased my husband - he couldn't have been happier sitting with a pint (or two) in the sun today. We will be back again!

I recently discovered the station pub and since then have visited several times for lunch and also takeaway dinners. The station is owned by a lover couple who really care about the quality of food, beverages and service they offer to customers. The Thai green curry is incredibly authentic and everything else we have tried from the menu has been thoughtfully prepared and the freshness of ingredients and flavours is incredible. This will definitely be one of our go-to places, lockdown or no lockdown from now on.

First visit and made to feel very welcome. Food very good and piping hot. Drinks reasonable and service under these trying conditions were excellent. Such a shame that once again it looks like we're going into another lock down. We will return when it's possible.

Great food and drinks as always. Thai green curries are amazing as is all the staff. Very Covid secure for people caring about that. Book your table, sign in at the door, wear you face covering, be seated by people with face coverings and then order food and drinks. All service is table service and tables are spaced adequately. We had a light lunch there on a Saturday recently which we understand is normally quiet.The meals were good and well presented.My small criticism was received well by the manager who felt it was useful to know.Covid precautions are adhered to but it's distressing to hear some customers object. The building must be difficult to maintain but it could be described as shabby in parts.

Great place, gorgeous decor, felt really homely. Called and booked a table, got served straight away by friendly staff. Ordered the vegan roast. The main alternative to meat was a veg pasty. It was wholesome and filled the plate but needed a bit of salt. Kids were very happy. The separate pizza menu was a big hit with the fussy child. Taking COVID seriously with a regime at the door and instructions when you sit down. Really want to promote supporting this place, local pub that needs YOU to support it.

We visited the Station with 4 of us and a dog and had a fabulous lunch. The food was delish! The staff were lovely and accommodating as well as friendly. We had both Thai food and pizzas (calzone) and would highly recommend both. We will 100% be returning and would definitely recommend

I have enjoyed many fantastic meals at this pub, in particular the vegan pizza is the best I’ve tried! With the recent COVID outbreak, the management and staff have been exceptional to ensure the safety of their guests. They have well designed socially distanced seating in the huge garden, which made us feel very comfortable. They have a table service system, and we were looked after by Ellie, who on a hot and busy day in the garden, was professional and worked tirelessly. The pub also has a deli, selling amazing quality groceries, from fruit and veg, to cheese and meats, as well as a huge vegan range. Huge sandwiches and baguettes to order too! A pillar of the community during lockdown!

The customer service was awful (particularly the manager, who was heard shouting loudly at staff) the pub was dirty and food cold. Would not recommend.

I'd heard good things about the food... unfortunately our cod dish was full of bones, I can handle a few, but this was ridiculous, really put me off and my mother too, such a shame. However, the staff that we tending to us were delightful.

We eat here regularly & are never disappointed. Lovely food (great pizza’s) & lovely staff. Great outdoor space. Social distance has been well thought out. Highly recommend.

Great service, good food and fab space!

Decided to go for some food on a whim with our friends and managed to book an outside space for 7 people (4 adults and 3 kids) Clear direction into the garden via a one way system and then we where directed to our table in the well segregated and spaced out garden. Table service is efficient and friendly and our food and drink orders were taken. Great menu with a strong Thai menu as well as other mouthwatering choices Including Waygu and Haloumi Burgers and a great Pizza menu. Not one complaint from our table as it was all delicious!Recommended especially if you are feeling apprehensive about how social distancing works at a pub. The staff were excellent and the effort and thought that has gone into customer safety and enjoyment speaks for itself.Well done to all at the Station!

Visited on a Sunday evening and really enjoyed it! Fantastic menu with so much choice - especially welcome at the moment with many places doing limited menus. All of the staff, on the phone and in person, were warm, welcoming and engaging ☺️ the other table next to us had traditional wood fired pizzas which looked incredible. It’s a shame I don’t live closer (we flew into Redhill Airfield nearby and got taxis to/from here) as I’d be here all the time!

We booked a table to celebrate my husbands birthday as he and our family members were working locally ... what a fabulous decision. I have been cautious about eating out since shielding but I was soon put at ease with all the safety measures in place. The food... what can we say? Amazing Thai curry that was the best we’ve had since visiting Thailand, the burger, fish and chips and the Katsu curry were all equally delicious. The 3 puddings were also lovely and all served in the safest way by the friendliest staff. We are already trying to find a day when we can all go back and haven’t stopped raving about the pub. Thank you for making my husbands birthday meal one to remember for all the right reasons.

We had a lovely time at The Station pub today. We were nearby in a group and took a chance on finding some space. The staff were so accommodating - helped occupy some overheated children which was much appreciated all while maintaining social distancing and keeping everyone comfortable. The food was delicious - we had the curries, the roasts and the burger, highly recommend. It was a rea find and we will definitely drop by again next time we are down that way.

Now, I am usually pretty forgiving when it comes to kitchens mixing up orders and getting things wrong but when this is combined with the worst ever customer service, it becomes very disappointing. Half of our party's dishes were incorrect, and then when finally sorted out were substandard and did not even match the description on the menu.It was fastfood quality but not fast and no quality whatsoever.The attitude of the manager was absolutely disgusting - and they had the cheek to charge full price plus service charge!!Never again!!!

This was our first meal out since lockdown and we are so glad we chose The Station. The garden is very large with beautiful trees to provide shade on a summer evening. Pre-ordering of food is requested and Jeanette and her lovely team have all the Covid precautions in place so that you can feel completely relaxed. And the food!!! Quite simply fabulous. We had the best ever spring rolls with chilli sauce and cashew chicken with sticky rice. It was all freshly prepared and simply delicious. We can't wait to go back with family and friends.

My god. Got to say, the red curry and Pad Thai just ordered was out of this world. Seriously high quality with crispy, fresh ingredients, fast service, plump, juicy and sumptuous prawns, just enough spice. Seriously, it was enough to cancel our culinary trip to Thailand for! Amazing team serving, incredible atmosphere, not to be missed.

Lovely food and lovely service! Despite all that is going on at the moment the food (as takeaway/delivery) is still to the same high standard as you would get eating in. In addition, the owners have adapted their deli to provide essentials. Super friendly service too!

Very much enjoying take outs for the family from the station pub currently and it providing a small escape from the monotony of isolation. The friendliness of service and quality of cuisine has not been dampened by the Covid crisis and if your lucky enough to be caught in the queue, you might even be rewarded with a pint of pilgrims progress!!! We would just like to thank the station pub for their continued exemplary service. Not only, has the food and drink continued to impress, but I have to mention the incredible family connection this pub clearly lives by.The young lady that takes the order over the phone - professional, eloquent, funny - Makes me smile !!!The delivery - whether it’s the daughter, or the dad - because the daughter accidentally forgot a v minor addition to our meal (without us even realising!!!!) And then, there’s the quality of the food - I’ve always known of the station pub for their Thai...however, For couple that miss a friday night fish and chips or the odd wood fire pizza - we couldn’t recommend the station pub enough.Thank you for your continued effort - despite troubling times. The Station is our local pub and, as we are self-isolating, they will deliver meals to us. Today’s roast lunch came to us bang on time, and was delicious, and generous in size. Similarly, grocery deliveries from their Dukes Yard deli are handled helpfully and efficiently, and the produce is of good quality. Well done Jeanette and Kieron!

Fantastic community service from The Station Pub. The takeaway food is outstanding. We’ve had a couple of evening meals and just had a Sunday roast delivered, which was excellent.

Busy, but efficient considering the amount of people . I found the drink and food prices reasonable. Food was of a good standard and plenty to eat.

Ordered slow roasted chicken and it was so dry. It was powdery. Server asking if everything was okay didn't wait long enough for a reply - and I was only able to say something when she was clearing the table. Again, the chocolate brownie for pudding was very dry.

Good food nice atmosphere. Dog friendly. Proper pub
