A first visit following a recommendation - we booked a table as advised and the restaurant was full, which is always a positive sign and lovely to see when so many are struggling.......very quirky with a chilled atmosphere and wonderful choices on the menu. Food was 10/10 and friendly waitrons offered excellent service as we only had an hour to eat before a show at The Regent Theatre.

Third visit to Slamwich and it never fails, lovely sandwiches, friendly atmosphere, great service and a good selection of drinks, definitely be back

We hired out the top floor for a birthday party and had the best service! Highly recommend!

Good ok but when your eating a member of staff started cleaning the next table and sprays it on your food was a bad start. Beer it would be better to take your own as I had 2 different kinds for 2 of us and left every one does not say a lot about this place and I was recormed it. I would not recormed it to the homeless on the streets of the city it's in

With a rotating menu of well constructed slamwiches allowing for repeat visits with variation this is a gem worth visiting. Pictured is the Barbie and Chic-ken combining buttermilk chicken strips with smoky bacon, hash brown, cheese, crispy onions and BBQ sauce. Although you lose some of the individual flavours and textures, the format of the slamwich allows for an amalgam of satisfying savoury flavours. This paired with a funky playlist, a slowly spinning disco ball and attentive service makes for a laid back but fulfilling experience.

Really like The Slamwich Club. Went for lunch with the kids this time. Not the first time we've been and won't be the last. Fundamentally, it's a toasted sandwich. But then it becomes so much more! They put a lot of thought into the menu (which changes reasonably frequently to keep things interesting (although I do miss the spring roll sandwich!!)), with a really wide range of options, including an interesting set of vegan and veggie options (and it seems also quite a few GF). Although a number of nice places to eat sadly disappeared from Piccadilly recently, it's really great to see that The Slamwich Club is still around.

Only a small place, so ideally need to book a table and while the sandwiches are a bit pricey.... You won't be disappointed! It was the best sandwich I've ever had. Amazing. Will definitely be going back at some point 👍

Decided to try The Slamwich Club after hearing good reviews from friends and families who had been and liking the look of the Festive Menu. Absolutely blown away by the quality of the food, the friendly and attentive staff and the set up of the restaurant. We had the Brisket and Stout and Spice Up Ya Christmas with a side of Ho Ho Ho Hogs. We split the sandwiches half and half and loved both but the Spice Up Ya Christmas Sandwich we both agreed was something special! The gravy was incredible too. A welcome suprise was the value! Considering we had beers, two mains, a side and a coffee afterwards it was cheaper than getting a couple of cocktails each at the venue we went to afterwards! Will definitely return, and will definitely be recommending to all our Friends and Family.

Iv been here so many time. What an absolutely beast of a place what ever slam you have you won't be disappointed. The lunch time menu is unreal value for money. Defp give this place a try. They do blue lights also

A local icon! I've been here many times. The food is incredible (don't let the idea of it just being a sandwich fool you, this truly is a full, delicious meal that happens to be between two pieces of bread)! There's a great fusion of different cuisines here, I haven't found a compromise yet! The punny dish names are a wonderful touch, too. We've made collecting lunch from here a semi-regular payday treat at our office, despite the fact we don't even work in Hanley! The Slamwich Club is always my first recommendation for anyone looking for food in Stoke. Would definitely recommend booking as it gets busy!

The staff were nice and the food was great! They did have good safety measures for covid as well. Will definitely go back. It was a little pricey, but you did get a lot of food. Edit: haven't eaten here recently as the menu seems to be mostly pulled pork or vegan, and isn't as good as when we first had it years ago. Response to owner: Sorry for any confusion about when the last time we visited was, I could have worded it better. We have been multiple times since my 5 star review a couple of years ago. The last 1.5 years we have came my partner and I have both found it to be less enjoyable than it first was, there have been a few times we even planned to eat here then couldn't find anything we liked on the menu and changed our minds. We have eaten here in the last 2 months, so it was pretty recent, I have just now only written the edited review (sorry for confusion). We just haven't found the food or menu to be as good as when I rated it 5 stars years ago. And we have had issues 2 out of the last 3 times we have visited with our bread (especially on the bottom) getting soggy. One of the times I even had to just remove the bottom piece of bread. I changed the star rating to what I would have reviewed it as if the last 2 times we ate here were our first times (since my first review was years ago), as that's been our recent experiences and the updated review I feel comfortable with.

A great place, the food is faultless and interesting and it's all so reasonable. A sandwich, side, extra side, cocktail and beer for £30! Love this place. The Christmas menu is really good.

Great place with amazing food and staff, very indie, very tasty

Wow, the whole experience was amazing. Best sandwhich I have ever had. The rest of the group felt the same aswell. They even made one of the sandwhiches into a salad for one of our group with no issues. 100% will be visiting again, this place is a must do.

The food and the cocktails were amazing however the service wasn’t that great. We would have ordered more drinks but we weren’t asked so we ended up leaving and going to the unicorn up the road.

Really nice meal out with a bunch of people. We were shown upstairs and it was nice n out the way. Good atmosphere and the food was amazing. They even allowed like doggie bags because the sandwiches were absolutely massive! So if you go for a spot of lunch, it is very filling, trust me! They were also accommodating to changing stuff and allergies, which was great. The only issue we had with a large party was one member of staff didn't know what was ordered so we had figure it out for ourselves for example someone ordered strips and we were being asked who had wings for ages but it was actually strips... another member took over n she was fab and knew exactly who had what! For a plus size girl, don't be afraid of going here... chairs are accommodating, staff are friendly and none judgy and toilets are plus size friendly. If you have a party or are disabled, I didn't see a lift or downstairs toilets so I can't confirm it's 100% accessible but the food I think can be to take out so I would deffo recommend.

Nice place. Good sandwich portions. Tasty but can be a bit messy. Chips were ok. Would have preferred proper french fries. Can takeaway if you don't finish it all. Staff very pleasant and friendly. Would recommend.

This is my second visit, and every bit as good as the first. A friendly welcome and immediately taken to table. Although obviously all about sandwiches there are choices for all including vegans, vegetarians and GF options. Importantly the sides are really good too, and even kids are catered for. The sizes are incredible and there is a "take out" escape route for those beaten at the table 😁 I'm also impressed at how good the sandwiches look too. Lots of drink options but my table can recommend the huge milkshakes 😳 I would have liked a table light, and maybe some louder background music but definitely recommended 👍

Tasty, large portions, jam packed full of great fillings. Staff were friendly but got orders wrong (missed items off our order and wrong drinks arrived).

I got the katsu chicken sando, it seemed dry and the chicken tasted like it had a watery batter on. Also, was missing some ingredients puffed rice and maybe some sauce? Chicken strips also tasted watery and not really any taste at all, dip we got also didn't taste of much. Overall disappointing considering the price. Probably wouldn't return in a hurry. Service excellent though.

Previously, I have left a 1 star review. After visiting today, I am pleased to say they have returned to the eatery I knew and loved. The people serving were lovely and the service was quick. The food was fantastic. As it usually is (previously on 1 star review we didn't get to eat) My one small issue, was that my food was brought out separately from my partners, by a few minutes. He'd eaten half his sandwich by the time mine came. But, we did have a side too which arrived at the same time, so I had that to munch on while waiting. Overall, amazing food and service. Will be back again and highly recommend you try
