The Sky Apple in Newcastle upon Tyne

Sky Apple is now known as ‘A Little Piece of Sky’ and the food here is great. I recently used A Little Piece of Sky to cater a party. I requested a vegan buffet, and it was so good that even the hardcore carnivores devoured it! There were a host of items to choose from and I went for onion bhajis, large spring-rolls, veg kebabs, falafels topped with hummus, olives and tomatoes, sausage rolls and a large vegan chocolate birthday cake. Everything was delicious and the portions were plentiful. The order was delivered on time and was beautifully presented on individual sealed trays which meant that all I had to do was remove the lids. The order and delivery were great value for money and the ordering and payment process with Andy, the owner, was very easy. I’m just waiting for an excuse to order catering from them again! I highly recommend A Little Piece of Sky. Thanks so much Andy. It was perfect!

Great ambience. Fantastic food. Lots of flavours and drinks are all reasonably priced. Do recommend. Would recommend if you are local.

Had our lunch here, did not disappoint. Great naan, lovely halloumi, amazing spices and sauces, proper tasty and healthy feeling lunch

Came for lunch. Staff acted like we’d ran over her cat when we politely double checked the ‘bacon’ on the menu was meat free. Overall food was nice but staff presence and overall vibe was uncomfortable.

Came here for my birthday on one of the special evenings. They got the order wrong and just kept saying, 'it's alright'. To be fair on them, the rectified dish came out within 10 mins so not bad but they could have been nicer about it. The mains definitely were not as good as they have been in the past. We were going to order desserts but the staff were rude and there was a child watching videos which were louder than the background music in the middle of the cafe, on an iPad. This was not a customer's child, a member of staff maybe? It's such a shame because the food used to be to die for, everything used to be so tasty and the staff were very lovely. We just found the whole experience unfortunate based on how good it has been in the past. We will not be coming back.

Visited for breakfast as it's near to where we live and reviews seemed to praise it. Both had the breakfast, sadly it wasn't anything special. The place was completely empty when we thought it would be very busy at the time that we went. Breakfast wasn't that hot and the coffee was made with soya milk even though I hadn't asked for it. Sadly just wasn't really worth it.

Sky Apple Team Andy and Anna provides a fabulous vegan/veggie buffet inc dessert for our 25th Wedding Anniversary at another nearby venue. The buffet was uniformity delicious and beautifully presented. Food was labelled, brought to the venue bang on time, and guests ALL said they loved it! Sky Apple were also able to accommodate our request for doggie bags-so no food waste too!

This place is great as it caters well for vegans but such a shame they don’t just go all the way and ditch the dairy. Some menu items not clear if vegan or only vegetarian like cakes and the BLAT (I ordered 2 of these). They were really delicious. Will probably go back when I move to Newcastle later this year but would urge them to take the vegan leap for the animals and the environment. Time to ditch dairy!

Went on website to check times as we were travelling especially for this cafe. Said it was open till 3.30pm. However at 2.15pm when we arrived it was closed. Went somewhere else and spent my money.

Hygiene in question! Food was disgusting. What a disappointment. Another in Newcastle. Is there anywhere other than Dil and The Bear, worth going! Shocking.

Monday afternoon lunch. Had falafel wrap and salad with soya latte friend had halloumi wrap with a herbal tea. Not busy waitress friendly , came quickly and was hot and fresh. Far too much for me so she asked if I wanted to take it home she put it in a box for me. Also bought a slice of chocolate cake to take home which was equally tasty. Very nice

We went for a late lunch today - four of us and baby. We hadn’t booked and it was busy but they made room for us ( and the pram) and were very helpful and welcoming . The food was delicious ( as always) - freshly cooked and amazing. We all really enjoyed it. Faultless - service and food.

Went with Family to try the Taster Menu and found the Products were all brilliant.Great mix of Food served and lots of delicious tastes,only downside was that I did not think the quantity served justified the Price paid,£37.00 for 8 Taster Meals.

The Sky Apple is a mainly Vegetarian and Vegan cafe in Heaton a suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Called in a Monday afternoon there was only three other people in and one waitress it was freezing so kept coats and scarves on. Clean enough waitress not overly friendly. Had falafel wrap and classic burger. Plenty food but not too much. Earl grey tea and a. Americano. Came quickly and was hot but waitress didn’t speak or smile. Almost £20 which is quite expensive for what we had. Very cold and no atmosphere or friendly service so left as soon as we were finished. Probs won’t go out of our way to go back tbh but ok to try

My wife and son visited here for Breakfast I'm a Meat eater my wife a veggie my son a vegan, Well no problem we all loved the breakfast very tasty well presented and not a plate to wash as we had cleaned them thoroughly.......Great service nice people.I would recommend to all. Still like a bit Bacon though:))

I go to a lot of vegetarian / vegan restaurants regularly in and around London. This one beats all of them hands down. The creativity and thought that goes into all the dishes is amazing. It’s great for families but equally great for a nice meal as a couple/ fiends. The nice thing is you can take your own wine. All in all a lovely place with incredible food.

Loved the cafe atmosphere. The food was nice. You can take your own alcohol 😍. The staff are very nice. I had a lovely birthday meal. Look out for the taster menu offers.

Went with my son for lunch. The food was fabulous. Can't recommend it enough.i used to go here about ten years ago. It's still got it.

Great Food and friendly Staff,relaxing atmosphere and a range of Customers from children to Pensioners.All enjoying excellent food, nearly all plates were cleared.Menu changes regularly and it is hard to make a choice, whatever choice you make you will not be disappointed.Some of the recipes can be found on their Facebook page or website.

This little gem of a place is fantastic...Some of the best cheap vegan bites out there. Well worth a visit. The service from the staff is great too.

Came with my husband on one of the thursday tasting menu nights. We opted for the 8 course option (but you could choose to have 5). All were really good, loved the laksa soup/noodle course and the japanese amuse-bouche. With a bottle of wine the bill came to about £90 and it was worth it! Neither of us are veggie but come here for the clever, tasty cooking and something a bit different! Would recommend to others.

My quest to find the best coffee cake is finally over. It was so good I asked for cake take away..... erm not going to as soon as I got home, mug of coffee and ate it right away. The menu had lots of vegetarian and vegan options, well done you made me sooooo happy today.

We have just very much enjoyed the tasting menu this evening. The tastes were subtle but exquisite . I liked the way the restaurant was set out with white tablecloths and fresh flowers. I feel this restaurant is a 'gem' and will certainly be going to the next tasting menu event.

I’m not vegan or veggie, but due to allergies I often order vegan dishes. We both had the ‘volcano’ which was delicious, but the highlight for me was most definitely the vegan chocolate cake! I didn’t expect it to be so nice! I’ll definitely be back for a cake fix.

Sky Apple Cafe is easy place to sit in for a coffee and cake. Relaxed atmosphere and has a student vibe. Like to come here over the week-end with friends to relax after a walk in Heaton Park.

I suggested to my veggie friend that we should try here for lunch, as always feel she draws the short straw when we go out as veggie options usually all seem to be similar. We were not disappointed. She was amazed at the choice available and the quality of the food. She had the halloumi naan and pronounced it the best thing she had eaten in ages. I had the falafel wrap which was equally delicious and very good value. Service was lovely and the cafe had a lovely relaxed atmosphere. We are already planning on returning to try the evening menu. A real find!

Honestly - the food here was unbelievable. We had the full experience; 3 courses of beautifully presented and tasting vegetarian food. And I was so pleased to see cheese-less options, which was a very pleasant surprise. We also took advantage of the corkage option too....

Food great but shame about the cold temperatures. Requested that the heatiing was turned up but obviously ignored. A shame really as the food was tasty and very interesting. But all we could think about was the cold.....mediocre service.

I'm not a vegetarian but wanted to try something different I have been to this cafe on any occasions,the food is amazing! It's incredibly delicious and fresh. It's new and exciting with experimental flavours. You don't miss the meat!! They have a side shop to get take out for and cakes. All is vegan/vegetarian and very reasonably priced!

We used to be regulars at sky Apple but have not been for about a year. Last weekend we rang to book a table to ensure there was room for us at lunchtime to celebrate our daughter's first birthday. On arrival it was clear they had forgotten to reserve us one as we were told "oh you can sit anywhere" but there was only one table free with enough room for four adults plus highchair. Unfortunately this was right by the front door which are s not ideal for a little one with it being so cold outside and other customers coming in and out. The forgotten reservation could have been forgiven, however the waitresses were not any we had previously met (who were always very friendly and provided great service). We had to ask to place our order as two other tables came in afterwards were seen to first. On asking for done vegetables to be added to my daughter's pasta when ordering, I was returned with a look as though I was crazy!! When the food arrived we were not offered any condiments for our meals, and no one asked if the food was ok. It's a shame as I felt the place was really let down by the service. Tbh we felt as though our presence with a 1yr old was one of being in the way (probably because we were! Right by front door!!) My meal was ok, but the portion was a lot smaller than previously. Sadly this visit had put off us returning

One excellent aspect to this restaurant is the fact that one can park, if not outside, quite close and no charges.

This has been a favourite restaurant of ours for years (although we don't get to visit as often as we would like).

It would be the etermal optimist who thought that behind the anonymous face of The Sky Apple some very interesting food was to be had. But such is the case. Our reseervation was for 8pm on a Sunday night. The place was full. Diners appeared to be enjoying they meals. The atmosphoere was welcoming. We were seated near a group of 8, which can mean conversation is difficult, but it didn't prove in any way to be an issue for us. There were menus at the table, so we could begin to peruse them at our leisure. The menu is easy to follow: half a dozen each of entrees and main courses, and several dessert alternatives. A succinct and unpretentious description is provided for each dish. A genial waiter took our orders as soon as we were ready, and within 10 minutes our entrees had arrived.

Walking through the door should have been the sign to walk back out again. Very tired decor and more like a truckers cafe. However after finding our own table without the greeting of a waitress, we skimmed through the menu. With a Vegan daughter she could find nothing that was non-processed or without wheat. After ordering sweet potato chips she was unable to eat them due to the amount of salt that covered them and too much oil dripping from them on the plate. My wife had a piece of cake, which was tasty but the topping was too sweet. I had the large veggi breakfast. Unfortunately it was quite greasy and everything had been deep fried. Not a healthy restaurant for vegetarians and certainly not for vegans as all the food presented is processed. The manager needs to put on wholesome healthy foods such as quinoa with fresh vegetables, real fruit smoothies, fresh fruit salads and non processed fresh vegetables in all hot meals. Gluten free options too.

We booked a table at 8 on a Saturday night.The restaurant was nearly full when we arrived. It shortly filled up.There was a nice atmosphere. Bustling but not too loud . We are both vegan so we had a full vegan menu. All of the food we had was full of flavour and looked great. The main was filling and the dessert was so tasty, we both wanted more. Especially the violet ice cream. The service was very polite and not to intrusive.Good value as well at £52 for 2 x 3 course meals, 2 x large wine, a soft drink and a coffee.Highly recommended for vegans

Having been to The Sky Apple Cafe a few times and absolutely loved the food I was really upset by my visit this afternoon. Me and my sister went for late lunch, after seating ourselves with no greeting or acknowledgement from the waitress; despite their being only two other tables in, we decided what we wanted to eat. I ordered an americano and halloumi salad and my sister ordered a halloumi wrap. The food arrived quickly however there was no halloumi to be seen in my salad although my sister said her wrap was delicious. My coffee also never arrived and feeling fed up we decided to go elsewhere for a coffee instead. When I asked to the pay the waitress was very rude and we waited 10 minutes for our change as I refused to leave a tip for such dreadful service. We thanked the waitress and left with no goodbye or thank you in response. Very bad atmosphere and a disappointing lunch, I'm afraid I won't be returning to the Sky Apple again.

When we walked into the completely empty restaurants I had faith in the food being good as I had previously seen some great reviews and was excited to try what was on offer. Unfortunately from some rather questionable customer service to confused fusion food I was left underwhelmed. The waitress was highly unprofessional bringing up personal illness while serving us and stating she wasn't good enough at maths to work out how much half of our bill was. The food itself came quickly I ordered a ramen dish with a miso broth and tempura vegetables . The dish was completely confused and painfully average , when ordering an Asian dish you expect to at least get some oriental vegetables instead of which I got Mediterranean ones i.e. Courgettes , red peppers and huge chunks of carrot which hadn't even been peeled . I got chopsticks with my main which I always like to use unfortunately the tempura was so overcooked and stodgy it was like a brick I couldn't get the chopsticks through I had to use my boyfriends fork and my hand . Not good for tempura . My boyfriend said his burger was okay but the bun was dry and unpleasant . Overall underwhelming and extremely average.

Great little place tucked away in Heaton - as a meat eater I thoroughly enjoyed it. Menu is varied with lots to choose from and very reasonably priced considering it's such good quality. Staff were friendly, our starters were a little late so they offered us some bread. You're even allowed to bring your own wine!

The Sky Apple comes in two parts, a cafe on the corner which is next to a normal restaurant. As I was working nearby, I visited Sky Apple many times for my lunch. The food is excellent, very tasty and a good range. Just make sure you're not in a rush, instead have a chat with the staff - they're all really fun to talk to!

I am a regular customer of many years and love the cafe. However over recent months the quality of food has deteriorated. It used to be attractive and flavoursome but now tends towards the tired and bland. The other major problem is the stagnant menu. (I refer specifically to daytime dishes). Please have something different from time to time! I am sorry to write this, as Sky Apple is a valued place in the vegetarian community, but it really needs revitalising

Fantastic service from attentive and friendly staff. The food was delicious as always. I had the sweet corn dumplings to start with and they were perfect . My main course was the tostada ( might not have got the spelling quite right !) which was equally delicious. Great wine selection too !

Great Food served freshly made and tastes were fantastic.Whenever we visit we always find menu has changed therefore we are able to taste new meals.Have never been disappointed with any meals here even though I am not a vegetarian.Excellent waiting Staff,friendly/informative and attentive.

My family and I had some food today here and it was lovely!!the lady was very helpful when we asked what was in the food and the prices were more then fair..TOP QUALITY!!

Service was good, food was lovely! I had the deep fried halloumi and aubergine with thrice cooked chips and peas (gluten free!). It was fantastic! Will definitely be back. Don't judge a book by its cover - food is much better than you would expect from looking at the outside! I went on recommendation.

.....actually it was a cafe, for tea on 22 July 2017. They left two hours later full to the gunnells and completely satisfied by the first class vegan and vegetarian food. The Kofte starter, Chiliburger main and Chocolate and Geranium Torte were especially good. Haven't been for a while but it won't be as long next time. Our vegan companion was VERY impressed.

I honestly cannot rare this place enough! The food is absolutely fantastic and presented in a beautiful fashion. Portion sizes are always generous (despite the low price) and come served with an abundance of accompaniments. This is the place I go to for my birthday and whenever I have visitors. Even all my meat-eating friends love it. The staff are super friendly and were nice enough to coordinate with my mother back home a surprise birthday cake for me last year when I was there. So nice! The only bad thing is that the cafe is not in the city center which means I can't go as often as I would like. However, if you're just visiting I'd 100% make the 10 minute trip to Heaton to try. The menu changes ever two months and it's always exciting choices - you just know whoever designs the menu has a real passion for what they do!

Couldn't be happier with our trip to Sky Apple this weekend. Food was so delicious (and yet happily replaced olives for extra salad on my falafel mezze). Staff were really friendly and helpful. Will defs be back! :)

We have been to the deli and it was lush so we decided to have breakfast in the cafe! We had the breakfast burrito and eggs benedict and both were amazing. The sausage in the burrito was super tasty and the poached eggs were runny, a rare occurance in other cafes I've found lately. Top marks! If you haven't been yet, go! I know I'll be eating there again.

We visited this small friendly restaurant for evening meal whilst visiting a relative in the area - although we're not veggies we found the menu choice quite broad, something for everyone. The food was delicious...so much so that we came back the following morning for breakfast (we were staying at the local Holiday Inn and preferred to come here rather than go for the usual bland hotel fare). The big breakfast was spot on.

My daughter and I went for lunch with my 10 month old granddaughter.The highchair we were given was so filthy we had to actually clean it with baby wipes before we'd let her sit in it as it was encrusted with old food all around the sides and front.The waitress stood at the bar and watched us clean it without any comment! We then also had to clean our table which had what looked like dried up soup remnants smeared on it...thank heavens for baby wipes! To top it off my salad had a hair in it....Needless to say I won't be going there again...almost £ 35 for 2 burgers 2 cakes and 2 soft drinks each isn't my idea of value for money.Serious hygiene issues need to be addressed here.

Visited here many times over the years but this weeks experience was very disappointing. Booked a table for lunc as there was a few of us, the menu was good with many choices for vegetarians, vegans and gluten free customers but that's where it all stopped. The service was slow, the two waitresses bearly interacted with us. When the food arrived what a change. The Panini was toasted sliced bread and not good quality at that. When asked if they had no ciabattas left she said panini means sandwich in Italian but it does not, it's a toasted sandwiches made with any bread but sliced! The salad garnish was a lettuce leaf, two slices of tomatoes and two slices of cucumber and a spoonful of coleslaw. Previously it would have been a spoonful of bean salad with another salad with a dressing on. I asked for mayo and was told you have to pay 60p sort a spoonful! It's not the cheapest place to eat and now I feel the quality and service does not warrant the price. What a shame is it is difficult to get lovely veggie foood and The Sky Apple always was the best.

Visited here with my girlfriend and had a pleasant visit. It was empty when we arrived and we plonked down next to the window. The menu was really good and varied. I had the Volcano which was tasty just a shame it was so oily. My girlfriend had the Taster Platter which was delicious especially the sweetcorn fritters! It's a shame they don't sell decaff tea but decaff coffee was available which was nice. Would visit again!

Very disappointed, it was like sitting in your grandmas kitchen in the 60's, we could have overlooked the tired décor if the food was nice. Why does veggie food need to imitate somethings it's not, as it doesn't in our house. Why have something called pulled pork in a veggie café. The food was vey bland and limited optionsDrinks were also overpriced with the majority of diners drinking tap water. Will not he hurrying back, would rather sit at home and save the £40 for 2 starters and 2 mains.

Located in Heaton, Sky Apple is a Vegetarian/Vegan Café/Bistro which provides a wide range of meals (including Breakfast), snacks and refreshments which appeal to all vegetarians and vegans. The premises are very friendly but due to the wooden furniture and floors, can be rather noisy if there are a lot of other customers. The menu is wide ranging and there is likely to be something on the menu to appeal to everyone (even those dedicated meat-eaters who venture in!!) The evening menu changes on a bi-monthly basis – and can include dishes from all over the world. Meals are cooked on the premises and you have an option of the heat ‘n’ eat whereby you purchase a dish to reheat at home (pre-ordering is sometimes required). There is a recently opened deli next door which is linked to the café and also provides a wide range of goodies. Prices are reasonable and the premises are licenced.

I can't eat milk and so eating vegan is always a good option. This place had lots of well priced options. The platter was amazing..they had run out of falafel, but the replacement Koftas were lovely. Sweet potato fries were too salty but very tasty. Cake options were fab..gluten free and vegan didn't seem to overlap but the cakes we chose (strawberry and Victoria sponge) were both incredible. Will definitely be coming back, potentially for the volcano next time as that looked incredible.

Brilliant food great service good atmosphere. Highly recommend day or night. Good selection of local beers. All freshly cooked food to order.

Tried the new menu last night , what a delightful choice for all three courses, the asparagus starter was lip smacking, the fish shop platter was fantastic and the vegan chocolate cake was a stunner. Can't wait to go back to further explore, Mmmmm

Saturday lunch with family. Food really tasty with highlights being Volcano, Kofta wrap and Green Goddess smoothie (sorted out my hangover). Friendly service as well.

The food is delicious here. I've never been somewhere with so many vegetarian options, even my meat eating friends said their meals were excellent. The veggie volcano on the lunch menu was pretty incredible. The staff are all lovely, friendly people.

It was very quiet and the waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable. The food was very good, but I was a bit disappointed because they only have one fryer, therefore, could not have chips because they used the same oil to fry everything and I have a gluten intolerance even though it does say gluten free on the menu. But the Polenta cake was very good, it was the highlight of the lunch.

This is a fave of mine, on Heaton Road. The prices are reasonable and the food very good. I especially like the chips and the breakfast dishes but they are all good. You can also get vegan beer here now. A good range of drinks. It can get a bit hot in sunny weather and I think the breakfasts should be available all day. Next door is a lovely deli. Great pies but can only get one type in the cafe, which I don't understand. A great asset in Heaton.

Sorry but we weren't impressed with this place at all. The food was very bland, almost tasteless and over priced for what it was. We need a good vegan restaurant/cafe in heaton. After reading the reviews of this place we felt very disappointed.

The sky Apple cafe is a charming eatery that caters well for veggies and vegans. We eat here often and have never been disappointed, the staff are friendly and helpful and the cupcakes from the deli next door are not to be missed.

So , my Dutch vegetarian friends , had so far had a 50/50 experience of eating out . So , Sky Apple , solely vegetarian/vegan and highly recommended , MUST be a hit ! We entered and sat for 12/15; wondering if it was actually staffed or even open . Eventually , the young lady eating her lunch finished and came to take our order ! ( I don't know what the staffing situation is , but , for us it was awkward and uncomfortable !) We were then a bit worried about the length of time the food would take !!! The food arrived quite quickly , was beautifully presented and had lovely flavours . The mushroom penne was very nice and a really good portion as were the Asian and aussie burgers . I had the taster plate , which had loads on , delicious bits and bobs , a great introduction to the foods available . The smoking blonde beer was also very good . So the food was great. The atmosphere was quite dull and the space was cold . The service was spasmodic . Our server was very nice and available once she had finished her lunch and her friends had gone . So , not sure how I feel about the experience , on balance ..... not sure the food was good enough to get me to return.

Fantastic place and a great vibe. We all tried something different from a extensive menu and every one of us enjoyed it. I love coming here and it is my favorite Veggie place to eat.

As a vegetarian, it's so nice to have so much choice that I'm not usually used to! It has a variety of options, from big dishes to small. I had the falafel salad which was lovely, and my partner loved his halloumi naan. Great quality food for a great price. Definitely going back soon!

I am never disappointed with Sky Apple. I am not Vegan or Vegetarian myself but the food is so delicious! Really interesting menu and the cakes are to die for. Would strongly recommend the Polenta cake and the Volcano main course. Sky apple is a hidden gem!

With high hopes for our first time at Sky Apple, it came highly recommended by friends, we were sadly disappointed. Maybe it was because we could only get a late booking at 8.30, but our two biryani main courses were not flavoursome, were dry, with only a tiny drop of the mint yoghurt. The biryani is better at the Indian restaurant next door. Our two friends enjoyed their pancakes (they wanted the mushroom mille feuille but that was off the menu, better planning needed?) and we found the food not very imaginative and expensive for what you got. The wine and the smoothie were good, and reasonably priced.

Village Heaton's best kept secret. please don't invade it from Jesmond so I can't get a booking! We had Peruvian tapas - scrummy delicious starter and Ethiopian platter (don't ask - just sink your chops into mysterious gorgeousness) main course. Followed by yummy mummy puds. All for £23 per head. You save on the BYO (they have a small but tasty selection available). We brought white: Ned Sauvignon - bursting with fruit and red: Yellow Tail - exploding with blackcurrant. Please note -the menu changes regularly but is consistently brilliant - they have never failed us. By the way, re; the nirvana thing -read Buddhism#now.

I really like this quirky vegetarian restaurant that has an interesting and varied evening menu. Never short of options when choosing starters and mains. Options vary seasonally but could be anything from from Stliton and Mushroom Pie with chips, through to seed filled salads. Some of the desserts are spectacular too.Not the fastest service but that suggests things are being cooked to order. Delicious!

We have only been in a few times to pick up small pastry items on the go. They taste amazing, with such lovely flavour combinations. Who said vegetarian food was boring? We are moving to Newcastle soon and will go out of our way to visit The Sky Apple. My mother and father in law have been treated to some take away bits and alibeut they aren't vegetarian, they are going to visit as well!

Went with my family as a birthday meal for my daughter. Friendly and informal service, excellent vegetarian food. Soufflé starter fantastic, also the mushroom polenta and cauliflower pakora. Main courses also really good, special mention for the mushroom pie. BYO makes for great value.

Fantastic food,excellent service and friendly staff.Visited on a Saturday night and place was nearly full however we did not have to wait long for our meals, all received freshly cooked and hot.Would recommend non-vegetarians to try as food is fantastic and tastes are beautiful.We all tried various selections from manu and was we not disappointed with our choices.

Delicious food and a nice environment. Great varied clientele, kids tucking in happily. We enjoyed our time here very much.

This is a cafe by day and bistro by night - but it feels like a cafe that happens to be open at night. It really does lack ambiance and it was also rather chilly inside when we visited in January. If they lowered the lighting and put candles and tablecloths on the tables at night, it would help make it feel a bit more restauranty.That said, the food was fantastic. Good sized portions, fresh and delicious. Creative too. Not at all standard veggie fayre.Sadly the service was REALLY REALLY slow - and absolutely no apologies for the slowness. The staff were not especially friendly. I would, however, go again, but only because the food is so good. If only they'd smarten up, and get cheerier staff, this would be a totally fab experience.

Just had an absolutely amazing dinner!! (Am stuffed and super content!) what a fantastic dinner (gush, gush, gush!) mushroom croquettes - yummy!!! The Christmas nut roast, sublimely good. I was too stuffed to eat more but my friend insisted on the Chou pastry Snowman to share !!! Delicious. If you love fantastic vegetarian/ vegan food, this is the best!!!!

Superb quirky restaurant with wholesome vegetarian food. Portions are big and filling. Haloumi wrap is excellent. Staff are kind and friendly.

I am not vegetarian or vegan so when I went to this cafe I wasn't entirely sure what to expect but honestly I could not rate it more. The price was great and the food incredible! There is a huge selection of what you can eat and it made me consider turning vegan after tasting the delicious food. They also have a deli next door for lunch on the go. Really reasonable and family friendly.
