This was our first time visiting the bistro and would definitely recommend for anyone who is a fan of Thai food to go and give it a try . The food was excellent. Service was good apart from one waitress she was kind but very forgetful …. We had asked for some more drinks which we never received and the manager came round to see if everything was ok and he served our drinks . We had the same problem with the waitress when paying our bill as well . This was the only reason I didn’t not score it 5 stars

This was the Chicken Ka Pow dish from the takeaway menu - £10.95. Take from that what you will. It was sold as a stir fry dish which one would assume comes with noodles. Noodles aside, not much more than a handful of food for £10.95.

Take away for a family of 3, we all had chicken pad Thai which we thoroughly enjoyed. All of us were left with big full bellies. High praise

Siam Bistro is our favourite Thai place to visit when in North Devon. Food is always delicious and service great, good quality, excellent range of dishes and value for money. Highly recommend.

We were recommended this place by a few people so decided to book in yesterday. When we got in, it's not really what we were expecting, quite hustle and bustle, rather than a cute bistro. We were seated in an alley, near the toilet, where the staff were walking through, which made us very uncomfortable and we were quite exposed. The food was so, so average. We've had better from our local Chinese. The noodles were basic and the other food we got was just so average. After leaving, our mouths we're both Left dry and tingly from the amount of salt and msg that was in the food. We enjoy eating out places, but the price here for what we actually got was extortionate. Wouldn't go here again. Nor would I recommend it to anybody. The best thing about this place was the rum bar around the corner.

Food, staff, service great!! Best kept secret in the Braunton area, if you are visiting Croyde and surrounding area, take a trip you will not be disappointed x

A really authentic place, yummy food and a very attentive service. The place is booming since its most recent refurbishment. Give it a try. You won't regret it.

We had really been looking forward to dinner at the Siam Bistro after reading lots of positive reviews. We quite enjoyed it but not as much as we had hoped. From the outside the newly extended facade looks the part. When we arrived, the service was attentive and we felt well looked after but as the evening got busier, we seemed to get ignored and when waiting to pay at the end we sat for what felt like an age just waiting for them to come and take payment, it was odd - bit of an evening of two halves. The food was fairly tasty. I think lowering the brightness of the lighting might also help as it felt quite bright which isn't the best for creating a relaxed atmosphere. Maybe we were just unlucky, would we return? Maybe.

Excellent Thai food and quite good value

Popped in for a takeaway while on holiday in croyde, looked a lovely restarting with friendly staff! Food was excellent was such a change to get some decent fresh tasty food around this area! Would definitely recommend.

On arrival we brought a surprise birthday cake for our family member. The staff were kind enough to put it behind the bar for after the meal. 10 minutes after this, the manager came over to inform us that the cake couldn’t be presented due to it being homemade and the risk of allergies. This was a chocolate fudge cake in sealed containers and may we add this restaurant serves nuts in many dishes. The food was average but nothing special. Throughout the evening 2 glasses smashed on separate tables. Several waiters were aware of this but failed to clean it up despite continuous attempts to make them aware. At the end of the evening, the manager changed his mind and said we can have the cake. They were aware that it was a surprise, however brought the plates out first with no cake, ruining the surprise. It then took 15 minutes to wait for the cake whilst staring at the staff members talking amongst themselves. It’s fair to say the evening was ruined from this and we won’t be coming back.

The restaurant was really lovely, with attentive staff and quick service. The food was delicious, with great portion sizes and nicely presented. Do wish the prawn crackers came with some sweet chilli!

Underwhelming second time round. We first came back in 2020, and the food was authentic and flavours on point. It has been a talking point with my partner and we knew when we came back to Devon for our mini break away, we just had to come to the thai again, having had such good experience the last time. This time round, seems a massive drop in quality? The food tasted bland. And the prices aren’t cheap either. i don’t mind paying higher prices but I expect top notch food for it. Portion of rice very small, massaman was super runny, like they had watered it down to make more sauce but had diluted the flavour? Didnt feel authentic. No potatoes, no cashews or peanuts. Pad thai - again didnt have much flavour to it. Satay barely tasted like peanuts. I looked at photos of the food from 2020 and it’s like they’ve either changed owners or the chef. Or maybe they’re just penny pinching on ingredients these days? If i could liken this meal to any song - Shania Twain’s “that don’t impress me much!” comes to mind!!

Visited this restaurant one evening for a family meal and it didn’t disappoint. Food was amazing, the restaurant was clean and tidy. We all ordered different dishes from the menu so we could taste of varied range of what they had on the menu which didn’t disappoint. I would even go to say it was my favourite meal of the week during my week’s visit to Braunton. This is a must goto!

The noodle pad Thai dishes were amazing and highly recommend the light stirfry tufu oyster sauce dish with rice.we all had a mixture of starters and loved the fish cakes and spare ribs.Some of us also enjoyed cocktails and loved them

Wonderful meal, expansive selection of choices of curries, noodles, etc. Fresh ingredients, good staff, good sized portions. If you stay in Braunton, make sure to make a stop there, you will love it!

If you are looking for a great Thai restaurant with super service then look no further. Siam Bistro is consistently top class for both food and ambience.

We visited tonight at about 6.30pm and were lucky to get a table. The Siam bistro is a lovely restaurant. The decor has be carefully thought out, the menu is varied and what we had was delicious and the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. So thank you for a lovely evening and hopefully we’ll visit again. If you want to visit I suggest you book or you might miss some great food.

Have only ever had takeaway from here, but is consistently excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend!

Whilst on holiday at woolacombe we visited siam bistro on the evening of 30th August, we had a amazing meal , fantastic service and really pleasant staff. Would highly recommend !

Nice food spoilt by being overpriced and an unbearably loud atmosphere. Too many people in such a small place, that you couldn't hear yourself speak. Disappointed.

The food was excellent, and the service was very good. The waitress knew the whole menu and explained each dish and made recommendations to our liking. We ordered the beef jungle curry, which was beautifully spiced, one of the best jungle curry I have had. The chicken fried rice was very tasty. The biggest issue for us is that we can't make this our regular as we visited from London.

Visiting Braunton on holiday and ordered a take-away, ready at the time promised and really good Thai food. Restaurant was super busy which is always a good sign, highly recommended.

Everything tastes great, you can’t go wrong. The jungle curry is superb, we have eaten here several times and it never disappoints. I would drive from Bristol just to eat here.

The food is horrible - far from authentic, just difficult to eat and the best thing is that bad food keeps the conversation going. The green, penang and jungle curries were really bad. They got the order wrong and gave vegetarians meat. As a apology they have a £5 discount. Managed to complain get £10 off. Still hilarious as we spent £100+ The atmosphere is nice, still feels a bit tacky and cheap. And service was okay, they just feel abit lost and I bet most of them are a bunch of students.

We’ve struggled to find great places to eat in this part of Devon but Siam Bistro was fab and would definitely recommend. After a busy day of surfing we grabbed a walk-in table at 5pm for an early dinner. My son ate the lot!

Very expensive for the smallest Thai take away portions I've ever had. Very little flavour and virtually no spice in the dish described as 'Very spicy'. Certainly no chilli heat!. I eat Thai food regularly from various places in Leeds where I live. Maybe I'm just used to more authentic Thai food? Thai restaurants in Leeds would always serve Thai prawn crackers for example, not the standard white ones you get in Chinese restaurants and take aways. Restaurant looked lovely - although I had take away. And the staff I spoke to were lovely and friendly.

Food was really delicious and the service was great, especially when a member of our party ordered something that was too hot for him and when the staff realised they sorted an alternative meal that he really enjoyed. Definitely recommend.

Excellent food and service, booking is very strongly advised. Just visited for a takeaway meal. As expected, it was every bit as good as the food we had when we last visited. Highly recommended.

The owner shouted at the table when asked if one of the plates could not be charged as it was unfinished and disliked by the consumer. Either the pork mince was low quality or overcooked. When charging highly for a plate of food, it is not unreasonable to expect good quality produce. I will never eat here again. I'd recommend not going, but if you do and have an issue, make sure to tell the staff immediately, because it will save an abrasive unpleasant exchange. I hope other Thai food options are available in Braunton. If not, travel.
