What a great place we loved every minute of it. The food and drinks was fab and the staff absolutely fab everything look after you must go to this hidden gem

This was our first visit but definitely not our last. What a wonderful place. Great atmosphere, super friendly. The food was delicious especially the trio of desserts. We over ordered and couldn’t eat it all as we got carried away. The staff were absolutely brilliant. They were young and a credit to themselves and their employer. Looking forward to returning.

Great tapas here. The feta in honey and black onion seeds was particularly good, as were the halloumi fries.

Gave this a try this week on holiday. The service and the food were great. Would absolutely recommend it to anyone that likes tapas. I also think it's the cleanest restaurant I've ever been in. Which is an unusual thing to notice when out for a meal.

We have visited the fish restaurant side of The Shed during two previous holidays but this time we decided to give the Tapas restaurant a go. We were served by the absolutely delightful Jess Grace who looked after us throughout the visit. The food was wonderful! We started with a portion of taramasalata and were so pleased that we didn’t fill up on this dip. We had the ‘ little fishes’, beef stifado, meatballs and a chicken skewer dish from the ‘Specials’ menu. (We also had the Patatos bravas but, tasty as this dish was, there was no way that we could eat very much of it!) The beef stifado took my husband back to a Greek island holiday from 40years ago it was so good. My favourite were the beef and pork meatballs and I even asked Jess to ask the Chef what herbs were used. (Chef’s secret). All the dishes tasted so fresh and were full of flavour. The Shed is an absolute Gorleston Gem and we wish the owners every success. PS….Message for Jess Grace….we hope the GCSE results are fabulous and that you achieve all that you dream of!

Food was delicious and portion size are great. We did not leave hungry. Staff are lovely and friendly. Service impeccable!! Great cocktails and drinks selection. 🍸 I like a bit of music but understand not everyone does but that would have made 10/10. Other than that 9/10

We had a great meal. All the dishes were perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Service was friendly and prompt. Our evening was finished with a very good cocktail.

We went there at the start of January. Great decor, lovely atmosphere, staff and owners are very friendly and accommodating, most importantly the dishes are delicious and generous making it great value for money....... And local beer on tap. Our whole experience was delightful! This is a hidden gem 10/10

The cocktail I had here was very good. It was super busy with people eating at tables so we couldn't have a convo at the bar because it was just so loud. We actually believed it was a new bar place but I couldn't find any info as there's no sign you can see from driving by. It was until we finally went on a Saturday night we realised it was The Shed & they had expanded is all. We left as a band was setting up but we will be coming back for food soon & I'm sure I will make that 5 🌟

We really enjoyed coming here - I believe the owner served us personally, and her approach to our son's nut allergy was much appreciated. The welcome was warm, the restaurant was pleasant and the food was a delight. My one, minor, comment was that the patatas bravas and the other potato dish we ordered both had a bit of water at the base of the dish - so the sauce was a bit thin - but really, really this one comment shouldn't detract from an overall 5/5 experience.

The food was expensive but it was a nice dinner. Though I haven’t walked away thinking I’m dying to go back.

We have been meaning to try the new restaurant since it opened for a while now and so glad we did. The food and service did not disappoint and we will definitely be coming again.

Visited this restaurant to celebrate a birthday for a friend, can honestly say the tapas style food was really good and the cocktails were also just as good, really enjoyed the evening the food and the service would deffinetly visit again 👍.

Ate here today, hands down the best tapas we've had in Norfolk. The flavours of the food and quality were excellent. The atmosphere was really nice. The owners were on sight and active in the running of their business. It was very clean and the high chair that they gave us for our baby was immaculate. Very impressed, looks like we will have to go to Gorleston more often especially to visit here! Highly recommend!!

I think this place was my last stop on the way to being pretty hammered but what I can remember of it is very positive!

Lovely place for tapas.... Great service, lovely food. I would advise an early booking as all the tables we reserved from 1900 onwards (we ate at 1730). Taramasalata was on the salty side, but that was the only minus in a sea of pluses..... Well done Shed!

What a place, we went with friends for a spot of lunch and ended up trying nearly everything on the menu it was that good. Everything was fresh and delicious to the point of tears (well nearly). Well done to all the service was impeccable the beer well kept, a great choice of drinks and the whole place was immaculate 10/10 for the toilets. We had a very memorable lunch and will return next time we visit, thank you all so much.

Four of us visited on a Saturday evening and we all really loved this place. Great food and service. Nice choice of tapas but not too many to make it overly difficult to choose. Also a good drinks menu with cocktails being an option. We did notice that every table was reserved and we arrived at 17.30, so I would book early.

Staff were very rude, wanted to try this place out but when we were not greeted and asked rudely to move from a reserved table that didn’t have a reserved sign on, we left, went to the fig instead which is 5 star 👍🏻

Really cool bar with good range of beers, cocktails and tapas. Friendly atmosphere immaculately presented and next to the famous Shed restaurant. Big TVs for sport events and contemporary decor.

Food was great a little over priced, staff are amazing! The owners on the other hand, dreadful! Abusive to staff members, Very Clicky place to eat out I feel as though the owners are well in over there heads trying to run this place! Going from the small restaurant to the new “tapas style” dining in a short space of time hasn’t worked. The service has slipped massively and the fact that they’re both behind the bar and running food whilst indulging in alcoholic beverages like two pub land lords is just a joke! Will not be returning!

I love the original Shed restaurant, have had many excellent meals there and the new Tapas bar is great too.

Tapas was awesome and lovely place! Any teething problems will soon be sorted and I would DEFINITELY love to return.

A friend and myself were staying overnight and went in for a meal , we were lucky as they had a table available for a short time, we both ordered Steak , him the Rump and me the T Bone . Both with chips and a shared Flatbread with cheese and chorizo. And a starter if Chicken Wings . Wow ! The food was amazing , well cooked and delicious, unwound recommend you try and get in for a meal , staff were also fantastic, prices were a little more expensive than I'd usually pay but I can confirm it was very worth it Well done The Shed

Great to be able to go back to The Shed. Fantastic food, and great service.

The little restaurant is an adorable little cosy place serving freshly caught fish of the day. Two of us don't eat much but our host made us feel very awkward about sharing a dish between us. In the end we ordered a dish each and ended up with a lot of wasted food and unnecessary cost. We decided to skip desert. The fresh fish is lovely. I opted for rice as a side, which had the tang of microwave or easy cook rice... For the prices it would have been nice to have quality cooked rice.

Food is outstanding! Swordfish was cooked to perfection, the waitress was friendly & attentive and the place itself is so charming. It's the type of place that in years to come you say 'remember that little place we had that amazing meal in Great Yarmouth?' and then fondly reminisce. Highly recommended!

Moved to Gorleston on sea 4 weeks ago and heard so much about The Shed so went last night and wasn't disappointed food was delicious staff was friendly. Will be returning very soon.

Well what can say the chef matt Is amazing cook and the head waitress Greeted me and parter with drinks meau There was no rush to choice our food I had olives and flat bread starter My partner had monk fish gujons We had bottle wine and beer san Miguel on tap mains was lobster with garic butter And 2x sea bass fillets home made chips And salad we was given main meau and Fresh catch of day to choose from These also have dessert menu too Recommend to book first as name of place shed mean very small but very Friendly price and tips was 120 pound But very well worth every penny Thanks guy definitely coming back

The best in the area without any doubt, very good chef/owner and staff 👍 first class. It is what the name says a shed, no trimmings but so so special food, i should know as I've eaten in many restaurants this is 5***** + food. Many thanks to the owner/chef Martin.

We have just returned home after yet another Fabulous meal, steaks cooked to perfection, seafood to die for and all served with a cheery smile, the staff were very polite ( Daisy's was ear to ear ), nothing was too much trouble and the Bread and butter pudding for desert was first class, compliments to the chef who knows the time of day !The title of my review highlights the comments left a week ago when somebody thought otherwise and left derogatory remarks that do not reflect this establishment."Keep up the good work "

Absolutely delicious food, and lovely service . We had a such a lovely evening there. The lobster,monkfish , scallops and halibut were amazing . The wine was also delicious and the ambience was so relaxed and chilled, we loved every minute .

Loved eating here, quirky relaxed restaurant with only 16 covers, attentive staff, open plan kitchen, great food, really great food, starters were excellent, mains were generous and well cooked, deserts were a little limited, but again generous and good. Worth a trip to eat at if in the area, or indeed if travelling.. pictures of the food attached, you won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to going back

This hidden Gem in Gorleston-on-Sea is an amazing little place, to the best fresh fish money can buy, this was the 1st time I had tried Lobster, and it was so delicious, not to strong nice and sweet and cooked to perfection with a garlic butter sauce, for £35, with garlic mash and salad, was the best food and experience, staff and owners and chefs make is the perfect experience, my bucket list has been ticked, will definitely be back again.

Disappointed and shocked with our experience of The Shed.I ordered the sirloin steak and asked for it to be medium cooked, i specifically asked for it to be pink inside but not running with blood.Unfortunately when my steak arrived and i cut into it it was well done. As the cost of the steak was £25 and i believed The Shed was supposed to be a high standard eating experience i decided to tell the waitress my steak was overcooked and not medium as i had asked it to be.Usually i do not like to send food back and have a replacement but on this occasion i agreed to have another steak cooked for me.Unfortunately when i cut into my replacement steak it was just as overcooked as the first.When i told the lady who was front of house she was not happy and told me it was a matter of opinion. The whole atmosphere changed with both the chef and front of house lady both telling me what a medium cooked steak should look like. Again according to them it comes down to a matter of opinion but that has never been the case in any other restaurant i have previously eaten in.My wife who is vegetarian and cooks the most amazing steak even though she has never eaten one could see the steak being cooked from where she was sat and said to me that given the meat was only 10mm maximum thick in her opinion it had been cooked for too long, she also could see the steak was given no resting time between coming off the grill and presented to me at the table.From the moment i said the second steak was also overcooked the attitude of the staff changed and we were made to feel very uncomfortable at this point my wife said she didn't want to be in there any longer so we left. If you are thinking about going then i wouldn't bother if i were you these people are extremely rude and arrogant and don't deserve your money.

Incredible food and service, Daisy who looked after our table was lovely. So glad to see them open again. We tried some new things that we hadn't ever had before including swordfish which was delicious

We booked, many weeks in advance, to get a table at this absolute gem.We love seafood and were not disappointed at all.My husband had halibut that was the size and thickness of a steak and I had a beautifully cooked Dover Sole.The food, the location and the quirkiness of The Shed all make this a must for anyone’s ‘bucket list’.The owner, and her Staff, deserve every accolade that come their way.(Just as we returned to our car a fisherman across the road, at the harbour side landed a Mackerel ….surely a sign that we have to return!)

Can’t recommend this restaurant enough. The restaurant fit us in and did everything they could to do so even know they were full, I had scallops to start which were so so fresh and tasty. Followed by the lobster which again was incredible. I wish we lived closer as we would come back again. Lovely people aswell!!! Thank you!

We booked in advance to coincide with a short break in the area, definitely not disappointed! Very small intimate restaurant, where the staff are friendly and helpful. All of the food is prepared right in front of you, and food sourced locally. Extensive daily seafood menu and the steaks also looked amazing. All four of us had lobster mains and were very impressed, would definitely recommend this dining experience!

We were so pleased to secure a reservation and had a fantastic meal! The space is tiny but very welcoming and the food was wonderful! Lobster Thermidor lived up to all expectations, sardines starter and crab main course were delicious and the kids’ menu was a winner. So glad we persevered to book a table. This is a wonderful restaurant and especially welcome in the culinary desert of Great Yarmouth…

after seeing the reviews on here, we booked and had to pay a deposit. The place only holds 16 Diners so very intimate and cosy. For such a small restaurant the menu was extensive with a fresh daily seafood board. The staff were lovely and attentive. Really amazing food, the swordfish was delicious and the skate was huge !!! Wouldnt hesitate in going back again- shame we live in in London and not local..... but promise to revisit next time.
