The food here is exceptional, delicious home made dishes both traditional and with a twist, with attentive and friendly service. Highly recommended.

What a delightful place, a good pub and great restaurant. Fantastic menu, I had a goats cheese salad, steak and cheese. What more could a man want. The restaurant is overseen by a exceptional French lady with a wonderful sense of humour.

This is a very well run gastro pub just outside Aylesbury. The menu is varied and pleasant and the Guinness is cold. A very pleasant experience.

Six of went for an evening meal and not for the first time. Even though the restaurant was very busy the service could not be faulted. All the food for our table arrived at the same time. The food itself was excellent. Great village pub and restaurant.

My first time in the area, and a meal so good, I had to leave a review! What an absolute gemstone this place is! We had a cheeky little Christmas Table for 2 which we pre-ordered! The place was bustling, but the staff here are so kind and attentive, it didn't seem to phase them in the slightest. The food, oh my golly gosh, the food!! My wife had the Apple and Celeriac Soup to start and the Turkey for main, I had the Salmon Mousse and then the Butternut squash. Every mouthful was just as delicious as the last, from start to finish, the meal was exceptional! What ever the chefs are doing here, they need to keep on doing!! This place is truly special! We shall definitely be returning!

Went to the seven stars for lunch with friends. We had such a warm welcome when we arrived( like we were family) we ordered our lunch and my friends ordered a starter but it had cheese on which i would of loved but I'm dairy free. When food was delivered they brought me the same starter with a dairy free option with vegan cheese. This restaurant really went that extra mile and will definitely be visiting again. Nothing was too much trouble and food was excellent. Thank you

We have eaten here a few times and always complimented the chef on the quality of the food and the staff on their great customer service, so today was a bit of a shock! My wife had chestnut soup. It was tasteless She then had the Butternut squash roast for a main course. It was so awful that she couldn't eat it. The young girl serving us looked like she worked in a school canteen, the plates of food were unceremoniously dumped on the table in front of us. When we did complain about the food, there were no apologies, just shrugged her shoulders. I had the fish pie, which again wasn't as amazing as it was before, and gave me an upset stomach. Everything about the lunch was just awful and disappointing!! The French lady (Manager?) that is normally there was noticeably absent, I know she would've been horrified at the standard of customer service. Was it a different chef, maybe?? Who knows. It used to be one of our favourite pubs now we will never go there again, which is a shame as it is a beautiful community owned place.

This is one of our favourites - the food is sublime, not just good pub food but really high quality ingredients cooked perfectly. The welcome is warm and friendly, staff never look rushed, and it is always a genuine pleasure to visit.

Utterly worthy. Superb staff, with a good balance of friendly but professional. Excellent food...have been several times now and I think this time was the best. Mackerel pate, light and clean with a fabulous balanced chutney. Pulled pork spring rolls with a good dipping sauce. Prawns of excellence..... And rather a cheeky bar snack as a starter... one of the best houmous with bread. Warning on that one... It's substantial because it's a bar snack! We managed though :-) ... With broad smiles. Then Sunday roasts for some, and excellent fish pie, 7 star burger, and a plaice with cockles that created smiles and happy vibes. Yorkshires and good gravy, nice veg,.... And nice people. It's, lovely leaving somewhere when everyone's happy, smiling and talking about what the ate. Thank you. We enjoyed every morsel and we are pleased you're within a sensible drive

Attended with family for Sunday lunch today and we were not disappointed. We were a table of 14 and all enjoyed delicious roasts (all delivered to the table at the same time) served by happy, polite and attentive staff. It was a real pleasure to dine here and hopefully will be returning again soon. Definitely recommended.

This lovely venue never disappoints. Stephanie and her great team always provide a welcoming friendly, efficient service. Today was the first time we have visited for Sunday lunch. The food was delicious and well presented. On arrival for a 1.00 booking, the restaurant was completely full and the atmosphere was lovely. Tables were cleared quickly, ready for the next diners who were enjoying the bar.

Great local village pub, food is restaurant quality. Steph is amazing host, she keeps an eye on everything. All food is delicious, especially the Roasts, and I love the lemon tart. Definitely one of my favourite eating venues in the area.

Stephanie couldn't have made us feel more welcome, was a great accomplice in keeping the birthday cake secret until the key moment and clearly has a great relationship with her regulars. The food was great tasting, good home cooked dishes and the website didn't really do them justice. Also dog friendly, which our pup appreciated.

I had heard good things about this pub, and wow did it deliver. From the moment we walked in till the moment we left the service was excellent! Then the food! Wow, i have the fish pie and my friend had the Lamb special!! Delicious. The desserts were the same. I also think the wine by the glass was high quality. A lot of the time you go to pubs and the wine by the glass is not great. I can't wait to come back!!!

Lovely quiant country pub with fantastic food. Some classic British pub classics done very well alongside some French dishes. Will definitely be returning to try the rest of the menu and will be recommending to friends and family as well. Hearing the story of the pub I don't think you could ask for better people to run it.

We went for Sunday lunch for my daughters birthday Excellent menu for Sunday lunch not just your run-of-the-mill roast. Brilliant, friendly service (Especially Eliza) and wonderful wine choice. My Son has a nut allergy and was easily catered for. We would highly recommend.

It's really pretty and a nice walk from Haddenham on a summer's day. Lovely outside drinking and lovely service. Menu looks great but found food to be just ok really, not bad, just not particularly notable. Dessert was the best part though;) Will happily return for a drink and some of the surrounding area!

We took the public footpath from behind the Dinten Hermt. The footpath crosses all kinds of famers fields and nature passing through fields of barley and rye to emerge outside the local village school. You then head through the Churchyard opposite of St. Peter and Paul and turn left along the quiet country road passing Dinton Hall..That in itself is amazing to enter the small village of Dinten turn right after the Old Post office Cottage ( And I mean Old).Just up the hill after passing a few Cottages that you would give your eye teeth to own you.are groeten by the Beer Garden and Small Car Park of the Seven Stars enter the Pub and it is as if you are in the Seventh Heaven but have travelled back in time with Jules Verns Time Machine. After visiting there you wont want to return to The Real World.....Believe Me we have screwed that up. When you vist the Seven Stars and see the Little Village of Dinten you will become a believer.

Amazing pub at the end of a scenic walk leading to the sleepy village of Westlington. Friendly service and good draught beers. Food was good, freshly cooked, although can be even better! The summer Eton mess was the highlight of the visit! We will definitely be visiting again.

My husband and I were lucky enough to get a table last evening, and we both had the Cod special which it lived up to its description and much more, I can honestly say it was one of the best meals we have had for a long time and we eat out a lot! the flavours were just amazing and we cannot wait to return, and what with being served by lovely staff our evening was a great success. well done everyone. First time trying the 7 Stars. Arrived slightly early for our booking so asked to sit outside while we looked at menus. Came inside and were pointed to our table in the restaurant. Sat for about 20-25 minutes before we had to go and find someone to take our order. Starter was good, baked camambert, plenty of bread came with it which is often where other places fall short. Mains. We'd ordered the Tuna steak rare (which according to the waiter is how they coom it by default anyway) - it came out well done and chewy so had to ask for another piece. Also ordered the tiger prawn and crab pasta. They looked much more like King Prawns (first world problem I know) and there was no crab at all. Pointed this out to the waitress who went to the kitchen and came back saying some crab was being prepared for me. Then she came back again to ask if I'd like the whole dish re-made, which I said no to as didn't like to waste what had already. been cooked. Slowly carried on eating once the new tuna steak had been served, but got to the end of the meal and still no crab had appeared. Called the waiter over, who then assured me there was definitely crab in my dish, and asked "do you know what crab looks like?" - yes I do and I also know what it tastes like, there definitely wasn't any crab at all! He then argued that there definitely was as he'd watched the chefs preparing my meal - how he knew it was my dish in particular I'm not sure as he hadn't served it. He then admitted that maybe he hadn't because he thought I'd sent the plate back after the initial complaint he must have been watching a different dish being prepared.......... Lady behind the bar was happy to take 50% off the food cost, but we would have been happy to pay full price for everything except the pasta had the waiter been honest and just more courteous, rather than denying there was anything wrong and trying to mansplain what crab is. Not the best experience, and makes you wonder how many other people have ordered dishes which are missing key ingredients.

Stopped for lunch by chance. A fantastic experience. The care and attention of the staff was outstanding. We only wanted snacks (ordered two starters to share). They were really yummy. Would recommend the scotch egg and the potato skins.

Had lunch here at this delightful pub which offers great outdoor seating if you wish to eat out. (Ear defenders needed today because of the hedge cutting machine) The food is very tasty and very well presented. Portion sizes could have been slightly larger, adding £2 on thd Bill for cheese and bacon on a burger which is already £15 ?? Service was a little slow, waiting 20 mins for our drinks and having to ask for bill, but it was a very relaxed atmosphere and we weren't in a rush. Adding a very cheeky service charge (10%) to the Bill, is probably not the most sensible decision for many restaurants but here it was. Customers discretion is generally best left to the Customer, but hey what do I know about that. We might return sometime in the future and try the Sunday lunch sitting and then maybe forgive the Service charge, but for a Saturday lunchtime meal whether its one course or three, disappointment. 8/10 over all But be prepared to pay its very good quality food served in a fantastic location but I would not want to pay any higher prices for the portion sizes.

I recently moved into the area. I had a couple of girlfriends coming to see the new house and we decided we would have a pub Lunch. So, without any real knowledge of the area I randomly picked Seven Stars for a Sunday roast. We were not disappointed!! From the moment of initial phone booking to actually leaving after dinner the service was first class and the food was amazing. Thanks so much for an enjoyable meal. We will be back very soon 😘👍

This pub restaurant is my best find by far in a long time. In addition to the advertised menu there are various specials. It is clean, inviting and friendly. The staff are lovely and the food is very good. I could not fault it

Gteat staff, friendly, good wholesome food.

My son took his old dad (me) there for lunch. Neither of us had been there before but fancied giving it a try. Some of the menu was more suited to an evening dinner but we both happily chose a burger (made in house) with chips. We both ate everything on the plate, drank our drinks and complimented the waiter on the food and his service. It's not very big inside and we had to sit in the 'lounge' but it was perfectly fine. We will certainly go there again.

Very lovely place ; the staff is very sympathic and always happy to help, smiling and nice. The kids ate the fried chicken with green beans and French fries, they loved it! We had lamb and trout and it was really delicious... Starters and desserts also were succulent (scotch egg and pudding) very yummy! Congratulations to the Chef! The place is lovely decorated, we truly recommand that place for a great dinner!

Impromptu lunchtime visit after heating had failed in the offices we'd been in during the morning. So, a warm welcome from the Seven Stars staff added to the warmer temperature & warm atmosphere led onto several wonderful food courses & we couldn't have been happier. Bill was totally acceptable considering the high standards, therefore no qualms about the optional 10% service. We will definitely be back after our first visit in many years. Thank you

I first found this little gem about 4 years ago and only by chance. I returned last weekend with extended family and some of them were also there 4 years ago. Just like our previous visit, the food was very good and reasonably priced. The tables are spaced nicely so we didnt feel cramped. Lovely garden area too. The only thing I didn't like was the Hummous as they opted for Fennel over the traditional mix that has plenty of garlic and the olive oil I didn't notice that on the menu, but that said I didnt think to look for how it was made. For me, the fennel was over powering, but if you have it as a sharer then it's bearable and if you like fennel you will probably love the dish! My husband also said the Guinness tasted great despite it being poured to quick. I would definitely go back as its really comfortable and a welcoming Restaurant/Pub.

The Seven Stars is a lovely pub and food is top class, the triple roast is delicious and so is the crème brulé. I was spoilt for choice on the menu, they can cater for dietary requirements and plenty of space for car parking. The atmosphere was fantastic as were all the staff, will definitely be back and highly recommend, thanks

Good food, not massively impressed with the homemade hummus, had a somewhat strange taste. Not close to middle Eastern hummus flavour 🙂 portions were good, a bit loud overall

Great food and local Ales in a very pleasant old fashioned pub. Top service too. Probably the best pub to eat and drink within a five mile radius of Aylesbury. I have been there many times since I posted my first review and my opinion has not changed. Its one of the best value gastro pubs in Bucks.

What makes this place so good are the excellent staff who are really friendly and understand the food and drink on offer. Loved the local ales and the beer garden which is dog friendly

A last-minute decision to have Sunday lunch here turned out to be our best choice for a long time! The nut roast with perfect veg, roasties, Yorkshire pud and delicious gravy was amazing! Dessert was fab, with out-of-this-world raspberry sorbet. Hmmmm! 💕

Gorgeous place. Gorgeous food. Gorgeous drinks. Gorgeous staff. And the most gorgeous Steph(Stephanie). She makes it all standout even above its own merits. You can absolutely choose this place for a normal or special occasion. We had the delicious Whole baked Camembert cheese with the divine red onion chutney, the breads plate and custom grilled Halloumi for the starter. Everyone of them delicious. When I asked if they had any spicy condiments Steph gladly mixed up a chilli-garlic- olive oil concoction which trust me goes so well with the breads and Camembert too 😂 Then we had, Chicken Saltimbocca with the Dauphinoise Potatoes( these were divine🤤), Grilled Sea bass with Lemon Parmesan Cream Sauce, the melting potatoes with this was a delight, Pan Fried Gnocchi in Roasted Red Pepper Ragu and the Courgette Noodles with this was refreshing and then the kids had their adult portion of Grilled Swordfish with Edamamae Beans and Kale divided into two plates and the Beer battered fish adult portion divided into two plates happily as well. The swordfish was a bit under flavoured in my opinion, but easily fixed by adding stuff to suit your taste perhaps. For dessert we had, the perfect Creme Brulee and mixed Berries and apple pie with custard. Again both done to near perfection. Near because I cud feel some sugar granules on the caramelised top of the Brulee 😅. But taste wise it was unbeatable. Every one of the staff were kind, attentive, gentle with the youngest kid and a answered questions and took time to explain the whole beer battered query the eldest kid had. It was busy still Steph took time to give us pointers on places to go. We definitely felt a warm welcome to Aylesbury/Dinton after this. Three cheers to the community team and staff running this sweet little perfection. 🥂

Such a lovely restaurant with lovely food & warm and welcoming staff. We had our office gathering at Snug and had three course main meal in their restaurant and it was a wonderful experience. The deep fried battered whitebait fish is my favourite. I highly recommend Seven Stars for all your gatherings and meal outs. Thanks 😊

Lovely old fashioned pub plenty of seating inside and outside.Bar people very helpful and helped me get a drink for outside. Only downfall once car park full up nowhere near to park.
